Sorry all these chapters seem to be explanatory but trust in me. It is leading up to something very very scary. Besides, better to get it all out of the way now right?

"No no no. Wrong. Do it again." Uven sighed. If there was one thing he was glad he learned during his travels with Tamel, it was patience. He rubbed the bridge of his nose with his right hand and looked at the youth attempting to control the power he contained. It was obvious he was struggling, but to his credit, he was still trying to control his power. The stress on his mind was less than Uvan had originally predicted and explained to Tsukune.
Flashback
"You have a different kind of power when compared to other creatures." Uven stated, conjuring a blackboard out of the nothingness in Tsukune's mind. The respective youth sat in front of him, paying rapt attention to the lesson.
Pointing at a drawing of a monster with the word "YOKAI" above it, he launched into a more in-depth explanation. "Yokai draw out what is called 'youki'. It is a power that resides within oneself and is generally labelled as one's aura. The stronger your youki, the stronger your aura is, and generally speaking, the more power you possess. Elementals, on the other hand, are a little bit different." He moved from the first figure to the second, a smaller humanoid with what appeared to be flames coming off its head. "They have the ability to use youki as well, but they have one skill that no other creature can use. Elementals possess the ability to draw out the power of nature around them. The Earth and all her children, plants, non-sentient animals, minerals, liquids, and gases have a much calmer type of energy, which for simplicity's sake, we will call Sei. Sei is calm, cool, collected power that relies on maintaining peace of heart and stillness. Many Elementals rely on the ability to draw Sei out from their surroundings.
Now," Uven continued, "while Elementals do possess this ability to use the power of nature, there are flaws. The less of their respective element in the area, the less power they can draw to themselves. The type and size of the element a play a significant role as well. If there is more of the element, the more power you can draw from it. But the more of an element exists, the less energy each unit contains. For example, an ounce of gold contains more Sei than an ounce of tin. Rarity, amount, and location. Distance also makes it harder to summon this energy. If an Oceanic Elemental were to be on the moon, it could still draw power from the oceans due to the immense size of them, even if they are so far away. But the concentration needed to bring the power from the oceans to him would be extraordinary. Following so far?"
Tsukune nodded. It seemed like a lot to take in, but at it's core, the whole theory was relatively simple.
"Now then," Uven continued, "Your issue is that Chaos is effecting anything and everything at the same time, which means the power you have access to is absolutely enormous. While you have enormous potential and access to nearly infinite power, the disadvantage of this is that it's directly linked with you at all times, since it is effecting your body as well. The risk of this power is exponential and I cannot stress this enough. Listen well, for this could be your end if you aren't careful."
Uven turned at this point, looking away and up towards the planets in the sky. "The power of Chaos is so strong, so utterly well, powerful, that it can drive you insane. You must find some way to combat the urge to give into the power. We Elementals can feel the push and pull of the Earth, she which keeps all of life alive, whether they acknowledge it or not. It draws us to come cleanse it, to reset everything. You can chose whether you want to kill everything that lives, hit the planet's restart button you could say, or to give creation the chance to right the wrongs." Uven looked back at Tsukune as he heard shuffling.
Tsukune stood, determination shining bright within his eyes, joined by another emotion. "I will never give in to those instincts. I can feel it within my chest, just like you said." He said, placing a hand over his sternum, in the middle of his chest. "But I know, humanity and yokai have the ability to change." He turned his gaze upwards, looking to the sky but seeing past it, visions of his friends and family dancing in his mind, their laughter ringing in his ears. "They don't have to be part of their stereotype. Everyone can break free of those molds. They are individuals, they are who they are, with the power to change, to grow, to show they don't have to be evil. And I know, that everyone has that power, even if they don't realize it."
Uven smiled to himself. We made the right choice, he thought to himself. This boy realizes a fact that took eons for other, more intelligent and powerful beings to realize.
Clapping his hands, Uven turned towards Tsukune. "Alright then, now onto practical tests. Lets get out of here and go practice summoning and controlling your abilities."
Flashback end
Thankfully he had plenty of determination. Uven shook his head slightly. You did a great job picking this kid Tamel, he thought. With this much dedication, I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to control this in a month.
A blast of wind blew over Uven as Tsukune lost control yet again. Uven sighed. Or maybe not. Dammit, you better get back soon.
"Keep trying. You'll get the hang of it." He said.
An explosion tinted purple erupted twenty yards from where Uven was standing. Without looking, Uven greeted the man walking out of the smoke.
"Thank you for finally deciding to join us partner."
Tamel casually dusted debris off his shoulder. "Yea yea I had to take care of something with the school and its takes for-fucking-EVER to rip through dimensions. I have to hand it to him, that guy really has learned a lot. This place is very elaborate and hard to get into. It took almost an hour to get in. Anyways, what've you got him doing now?"
Uven sighed. "I'm trying to get him to summon his battle form. He's having issue learning to control the power properly. I told him that he needs to mold and shape the power according to his will, that he can manipulate it if he tried but it keeps slipping away from him."
"That's because, as I have explained to you time and time again, his power isn't like yours. Its much more alive. It has that sense of power inside it and near sentience." Tamel growled, stalking over to where Tsukune had picked himself up and was getting ready to try again. "OI, pipsqueak." He called out.
Tsukune turned around, looking quizzically. "Yes master?"
Shaking his head, Tamel said, "Uven told you wrong. This power you have isn't like his or any other elemental's. You and I are unique. Our power is so strong that it has for all intents and purposes, formed a semi-self-aware consciousness. You can't just force it to obey you. Feel the pulse and flow of the power. It has a heartbeat. You've made it listen to you before, remember? The destructive tendencies of this power are mostly my fault. It was how I dealt with it when I was the Elemental, and it learned that the best way for me to keep my sanity was to be violent. To let it pour out of me and let me use it up at ridiculous rate. You're different. You have another reason to make it listen. Do you recall what that was?"
Tsukune thought for a second before remembering. "Yeah, I do. It wa-" Tamel put a finger to his lips.
"Don't say it. I don't need to hear it. Remember those feelings. Remember the reason you wanted to be powerful. Focus on that. Use those emotions as a catalyst to connect with the power and mingle with it. You're a different Elemental than I was. Be yourself with it. It will understand. Now, close your eyes." Tamel commanded Tsukune. Tsukune obeyed.
"Relax. Focus on the feelings. Relax, and focus." Tamel whispered, silently stepping away from him.
Tsukune stood in the field, focusing intently as Tamel made his way back to Uven, gesturing at him to follow. They made their way to a spot about a hundred yards away from Tsukune and about five away from the door.
"Why're we all the way over here?" Uven asked Tamel.
"I based it off the kid's character. The power is flashy right? I'm guessing what'll happen next." Tamel replied.
They stood, watching for a minute before Uven nudged Tamel. "I never knew you had such a side to you my loving partner. You've matured quite a bit from our quests long ago."
Tamel shrugged. "I want him to succeed. He has reason to and I feel a need to help him. Maybe because we're both Chaos. Maybe because I don't want him to walk the same path I did. Besides, they should be here momentarily."
"Who should?"
Tamel looked to his right as the door to the Dimensional Room opened.
"Them."
30 Minutes Earlier at Yokai Academy
Kurumu joined her friends in the newspaper, still slightly pale and trembling from the power that had ravaged the grounds and residents earlier. That was probably the scariest feeling she ever had the misfortune to experience. It was so strong, and full of the promise to kill, maim, rip, tear, and destroy if it were to be angered. She shook her head. It was gone. The Chairman had taken care of it.
Looking around the clubroom, she realized that everyone was similarly affected. Yukari was easily the worst in the room. She was, after all, probably the weakest and certainly the youngest, no matter how smart she was. A light sheen of sweat covered her body, her shaking plain as the hat on her head. Her knuckles stood out in sharp relief as she clutched her wand in a deathgrip. Her eyes darted around the room, panic showing in them. Mizore was there for once, looking just as bad as Kurumu felt. And Moka was busy sucking down her third can of tomato juice. She was twitchy and jumpy, her emerald green eyes flickering about the room, searching for something hostile.
Finally after a couple minutes, Gin walked in. He appeared to fare better than the rest after the ordeal they had all gone through. He looked over at them and sighed. "Alright, I know you're all wondering what the hell that power was, and before you ask me, I have absolutely no idea, but I was a-"
Gin was interrupted by Ruby popping into the room. After quickly glancing around she smiled. "Oh good, you're all here. It would have been such a hassle to try to gather you all together if you weren't."
"RUBY!" Yukari exclaimed joyously as she rocketed over to the elder witch and hugged her tightly. Looking up she asked, "What was that power we felt? It was scary!"
Ruby laughed lightly and rubbed the younger witch's head. "That's why I'm here silly." She turned her head, addressing the rest of the Newspaper Club. "You are all summoned by the Headmaster. He needs us for something."
Finally, some action. Inner Moka said, the Rosario gem glowing, I've been cooped up in here for way too long.
