Chapter 31: Ultimate Power

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! You all knew this chapter was coming from the moment Angel said 'ultimate weapon'. Oh yeah, and my friends Morgan, Joey, (yeah, Joey, the guy who woke me up at six in the morning for a Pokemon battle) and Dawson all wanted to be in this story! Here you go guys, enjoy!

Angel was the first to attack. She jumped in the air, then threw her spear at Shadow. He teleported out of the way using a Chaos Emerald then took out his Chaos Spear. He threw it at her and sent her crashing in to a building.

Angel stood up again and smiled at the thought of the fight. "We've got more in common than I thought, Shadow," she said. Her expression became dark. "But that'll make this easy." She jumped in to the air again and used her powers to gravitate her spear back to her. Shadow formed another spear in his hands all together.

"Hmph. You and I are nothing alike," Shadow replied coldly. "You are pathetic, weak and useless. Even worse than the faker. I deserve the title of ultimate lifeform. You on the other hand…" he sped up to her and jumped in the air, kicking her to the ground. She found her balance at the last second and managed to stay in the air. She quickly flew back to him and punched, but it hardly did any damage. He grabbed her wrist and squeezed. She cringed in pain. "All I would have to do is teleport with Chaos Control, and I can cause you a world of hurt," he growled as he referrred to the emerald. "Lucky for you I don't have all seven emeralds at the moment. If I did, your eye and leg wouldn't be the only things metal."

Angel winced as he slowly twisted her wrist. She fought through the pain, then kicked Shadow in the face with both feet and broke away from his grip. They both landed on the

ground flawlessly.

"I've had enough of this," Shadow said. He pinned her against the wall of a building, then punched her repeatedly until she was bleeding intensely. He landed one final hit, sending her flying in to the woods.

Anville Town Forest

Somewhere in the woods near Anville Town a red fox and a blonde girl were walking. The fox had a strong resemblance to Tails, but only had one tail and wore a black baseball cap backwards. The girl was much taller than him, and I mean MUCH taller than the short fox. They were arguing.

"Just-just go away Joey," Morgan said as she pushed the fox away. She was wearing a dark green sweatshirt and blue skinny jeans. Her hair was pulled back in to a ponytail.

"No one cares," Joey said, refusing to go away. "And I don't care how much you beg, I'm not smelling your sweatshirt."

"But it smells good!" Morgan exclaimed as she took a sniff from her sleeve. "Why don't you-"

"No one cares!" Joey yelled. He would have yelled it again, but they stopped when they heard a crashing sound coming from a few feet away. "What the balls?" the red fox said. The two travelers ran to the area where they heard the crash, only to see two hedgehogs fighting each other.

"What the-"

"No one cares!" Joey interrupted Morgan. This resulted in her slapping the back of his head and telling him to shut up. "Owie," he whined as he rubbed his head. The two turned back to the fight, hidden by the bushes.

Angel kicked Shadow in the knee, only to have him use Chaos Control to blast her away. She hit the ground hard, then stood back up and formed her spear in to a gun and shot at him. He dodged the bullets, the took out his own. The bullets grazed Angel's shoulder making her drop the icy gun and clutch her injury. "Why the hell do you have guns if you're the ultimate lifeform?" she asked.

"It makes it easier, so I don't have to waste my time on pathetic fools like you." He threw the gun to the ground and kicked her in the stomach, ramming her in to a tree. She still stood up anyway and the two continued to fight.

"I'm bored," Joey complained to Morgan from the bushes.

"If you're so bored, then why don't you go break up that fight?" she growled. She grabbed him by the tail before he could react and chucked him at the two hedgehogs. He screamed as he went flying through the air.

"What the heck?!" Angel exclaimed in surprise as the red fox landed at her feet.

"Oh, God, not another damn look alike," Shadow mumbled when he noticed its resemblance to Tails. He threw a rock at the red figure, making him yelp in pain. He stood up, only to have Angel pin him to the tree. The three of them started fighting again.

"How's that for boring, Mr. No-One-Cares?" Morgan chuckled to herself from the bushes. She heard Joey call her name for help, then sighed. "Fine," she mumbled. She started heading for the fight, but stopped in midstep when an ice spear almost hit her in the head. "I'll go get a stick," she said aloud. She grabbed a small branch on the forest floor and used it to pull the fox out of the fight. She shook the branch vigorously to make him let go, dropping him on the ground.

"Thanks," he mumbled sarcastically. He stood up again and looked back at the two hedgehogs who were still fighting. "Are they ever gonna finish?" he asked.

Morgan shrugged. "It's getting pretty bad," she said as she looked back at the ice spear that had found itself stuck in the trunk of a tree. "I almost got that stuck in my head."

Joey walked over to the spear and touched it. It instantly began to freeze over his arm, the ice crawling up to his shoulder and continuing to spread. "Morgan! Help me!"

Angel covered her fist in ice, then proceeded to punch Shadow. The ice felt…off for some reason. She looked over at her spear and saw the fox being frozen to it. Shadow took the opportunity and gave her a hard kick to the stomach, causing her to collapse on the ground. She stood up slowly, her hand on a tree for support. She looked up at Shadow. "This…isn't…over," she rasped, trying to pull air in to her lungs. She limped over to the red fox and her spear. "Dumbass," she said under her breath. She saw Morgan next to another tree. "Is he yours?" she asked.

"Pathetically enough, yes," Morgan replied.

Angel picked up a rock on the ground, feeling the solid weight in her hands. She smashed it against Joey's arm, cracking the ice that covered him and freeing her spear. She grabbed it and knocked him down, placing her metal foot on his stomach. "Never touch anything that's mine, got it?" The fox nodded nervously. Angel moved her foot and started walking back to town, leaving the two travelers behind. Shadow had already disappeared from sight.

"Wait," Morgan said. "Who are you, anyway?"

Angel stopped, but didn't turn around. "Angel. Angel Icirrus," she replied, her back still turned to the two. She resumed walking.

"More like a demon than an angel," Joey mumbled as he stood up. Morgan ran ahead to her, ignoring Joey again.

"Hold on," Morgan said, walking next to Angel. "Who was that guy back there? And why were you fighting?"

"His name is Shadow,," Angel replied, avoiding eye contact. "He doesn't get along well with people, and neither do I. You should leave and forget you saw anything."

Morgan was unusually silent for a moment. "Are you part of the rebellion?" Angel grabbed her arm in a split second.

"How do you know about that?" she whispered.

"Joey and I used to be part of one," she replied. "I got kicked out for spilling some secret information, and Joey was kicked for being annoying."

"I find that easy to believe," Angel said. She sighed. "look. If you want you can come with us or whatever."

"Seriously?" Morgan said in disbelief.

"Sure, what the hell," Angel said with a shrug. "I'm probably in enough trouble for fighting Shadow. Might as well make it worse."

Anville Town, Town Square

A few minutes later the three had finally arrived in town. Zoey was the first to speak to them.

"What were you thinking?!" Zoey scolded Angel. "Didn't I tell you to avoid causing any commotion? Not only that, but you've brought two strangers to us! Do you have any idea-"

"Hey!" Morgan said. "It's okay. We used to be part of a rebellion a long time ago. You can trust us."

Zoey growled. "Fine. But don't get in the way," she walked off, leaving the three of them behind.

Angel sighed and sat down on the bench next to Tails. He was lying down since he had slipped in to unconsciousness after his fight with Shadow. Unlike him, however, Angel had gotten in to many fights before and would recover quickly.

"So who are they?" Sonic asked her, pointing to Morgan and Joey.

"Just some people I met in the woods," she replied. She looked down at Tails. "Shadow must've been pretty hard on him."

"Nice try," Sonic said, seeing that she had tried to change the subject. "Now who are they?"

"They used to be part of a different rebellion," Angel said. "I don't know much after that."

"The fox looks like a ghetto Tails," Sonic said, looking at Joey. "Stupid weirdo with the backwards hat."

"Backwards hat means crap just got real," Angel answered. "Or maybe he's just so short that he needs everything he can to look intimidating." The two of them laughed at her remark.

"What was that?" the red fox asked as he stormed up to the two. "Are you calling me short?"

"Maybe," Angel said as she stood up. She turned her hat backwards. Sonic rolled his eyes. "You got a problem with that, Shorty?"

Tails groaned as he came to his senses and sat up, only to see Angel and a mysterious fox facing each other. "What's going on?" he asked, still dazed. He looked up at Joey. "Who are you?"

"Name's Joey," the red fox replied. "Now shut up while I beat the crap out of this stupid hedgehog."

Tails stood up slowly and painfully. He was a little bit taller than his red look alike, but only by a few inches. "That stupid hedgehog just happens to be my girlfriend. I don't exactly appreciate you even thinking that you can lay a hand on her."

"Did you just call me stupid?" Angel said. The two ignored her.

"It's none of your business what I do," Joey shot back.

"I can fight for myself, thank you very much," Angel said to Tails. Again, she was ignored. The two foxes tackled each other to the ground and started punching each other. Angel rolled her eyes and sat back down on the bench next to Sonic, watching the two fight. Tails was already weak from his fight with Shadow, and Joey….well, Joey wasn't very strong in the first place. The two were out of breath within seconds, but still kept fighting.

"You kick his butt, Joey!" Morgan yelled. Amy walked up to her, Piko Piko Hammer in hand.

"Okay, blondie," Amy said to the girl. "You are way out of line."

"I'm out of line?" Morgan said, crossing her arms.

"Yeah. You're out of line." Amy said. "Nobody disses Tails."

"Whatcha gonna do about it?" Morgan said, taking a step closer to Amy. "Bitch." This set Amy off the edge, causing the two of them to start fighting. Everyone else watched from the sides.

"That's it!" Joey yelled, pinning Tails to the ground. He reached in to his pocket and threw six Poke Balls in to the air. Six Pokemon popped out. The first was an Umbreon, which looked like a small black dog with red eyes and gold rings on its body. The second was a Graveler, which was a large rock with arms and legs. The third was a Raichu, which was an orange mouse with a long tail that crackled with electricity. The fourth was a Tyranitar, which was a huge green dinosaur that stood at six feet. It roared, shaking the ground. The fifth was a Metagross, which was a large steel being that had red menacing eyes and stood on four legs. The sixth Pokemon was a Hitmonchan, which had a strong resemblace to a person and had boxing gloves on its hands. They all stood behind the red fox as he got off of Tails. "What are you gonna do now kid?"

"Coward," Tails mumbled under his breath. He shook his head. "Are you seriously so afraid to fight that you would send out Pokemon to fight for you? That's pathetic."

"No one cares!" Joey yelled. "Raichu get out there!" The electric mouse jumped over the red fox and stood in front of Tails, ready for battle. "Raichu use Earthquake!" he yelled. Raichu rolled its eyes and turned around, zapping Joey. "What the hell is your problem you stupid rodent?!"

"Ha! Noob," Angel laughed. "It can't learn Earthquake, stupid! What's the point in having awesome Pokemon if you don't even know what their moves are? Tails is right, you are pathetic!"

"Shut up! I'm the King of Gamers. I can beat the crap out of this two-tailed bastard any day," he said.

"Right. And I'm the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom," Angel said sarcastically. "Keep going. It's fun watching you make a fool out of yourself."

Joey growled. "Raichu use Dig!" Raichu nodded, then dug a tunnel underground, planning to pop up at any random time and attack its target. Tails simply spun his tails and hovered in the air, preventing Raichu from being able to attack from the dirt.

"Wow," Angel said. "He can't even control a simple Raichu! I'd love to see how well you do with Tyranitar."

Tails yawned from above. "I know a quicker way to end this." He formed himself in to a tight ball and Spin Attacked the five Pokemon that stood behind the red fox. They all fell in an unconscious pile on the ground. He flew in to the hole that Raichu had created, driving the Pokemon out. He did another Spin Attack, knocking it out.

"Yes!" Angel yelled.

No!" Joey exclaimed as he fell to his knees. "Stupid Pokemon."

"It's not your Pokemon's fault," Tails said as he landed on the ground from his flight. "It's yours for being a bad Trainer…or whatever your supposed to be, anyway. Either way if you threaten Angel again I'll give you five broken ribs, four sprained fingers, three pulled muscles, two dislocated shoulders, and then I'll chuck you into a tree."

"'Tis the season!" Starfire exclaimed happily.

"Whatever," Joey said.

Capitol, President Bunny's Office

President Bunny was going over some papers he had in his office. He was sitting in his leather office chair, examining each document closely. He placed them in the manila envelope on his desk when he heard a knock on the door. "Come in," he said.

A boy in his teens entered the room. He had short dark brown hair and wore a gray military uniform. He wore a special gold security badge on his suit that indicated that he was the President's body guard. "Mr. President, sir," he said with a quick bow.

"Can I help you, Dawson?" the President said darkly.

"Yes sir," he said. "One of our cameras in the Anville Town area has detected some unauthorized movement. We think it might be one of those rebellions."

"Interesting," the President said as he fidgetted with a pen on his desk. "Were you able to see any certain people on the footage?"

Dawson shook his head. "But we haven't heard from this year's victors lately. We think the two incidents may be related." The President said nothing for a moment, making the body guard slightly anxious. He spoke after a few minutes.

"I want you to set out all the guards we have in the Capitol. Make sure there's no way in…and no way out."

Anville Town, Forest Area

"Are you okay?" Melaney asked Joey as the rebellion walked through the woods. The red fox was concentrated on Angel's Pokedex, studying the Pokemon that were in it.

"I need a new team," Joey mumbled, eyes still on the device's screen.

"You do realize that you actually have to go out and catch these Pokemon that you come up with, right?" Gwen asked.

"No one cares!" Joey exclaimed. Gwen rolled her eyes and walked away.

Zoey stopped in midstep, causing the rest of the rebellion to stop too.

"What is it?" Sonic asked.

"We're here," Zoey said. The rebellion looked at what lied ahead of them.

The Capitol.
