My eyes fluttered open to soft yellow light. I felt warm and cozy only to find that I was in a pile of soft blankets. Pulling myself out of the makeshift bed, I groggily stood to my feet. Somehow, I was in the ground floor of Wyrmrest Temple. Curious and unsure if this was correct, I went to the merchant's area.

"Oh no you don't," said a man who grabbed my wrist and began leading me back to where I had been sleeping, "you need to sit for a while."

The man was a blood elf with bronze colored hair and greenish yellow eyes. He was dressed in gold and white robes and was weaponless.

"Tempredormu?"

He smiled, "You figured that out quickly."

Temp sat me back down in the blankets and knelt beside of me.

"You gave everyone quite a fright when they learned that you'd been captured. Crystinia was distraught when she found out."

I thought to the white drake that had lost her home and friends due to the blue dragon flight. In my head I could picture her fearfully searching for me in vain.

"How'd you guys find out?" I asked pulling the blanket up over my knees.

He began to explain, "Crystinia rushed to Wyrmrest after the hatchlings explained what had happened and reported to Alexstraza. There were a few drakes that were allowed to see if rescuing you was possible, I was one of them. To our surprise, when we neared the Nexus you were using magic to fight off your captors. However, you fell off of the edge. When we managed to catch you, you were already unconscious. Our healers took you in right away and checked your wounds. You were battered and bruised, but luckily human, all your wounds were healable."

The drake returned to his true form and watched me for a few moments, "When you're ready I will fly you to the Accord. They have much to discuss with you."

Are they going to fuss at me for being reckless? I did protect the younglings… Oh, what could they want with me? Looking to the drake I nodded.

"I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be."

"Climb on."

He agilely bounded out of the area and leapt into the air catching an updraft under his powerful wings. The land around the Wrymrest Temple glittered as the sun's rays hit the fresh morning snow. Temp let me off of his back and I walked into the view of the Dragon Queen and the dragon flight ambassadors. Crystinia had been talking with one of the ambassadors when she turned and noticed me. The drake ran to me and hugged me.

"Thank goodness you're alright! Don't you ever do that to me again, I nearly died with worry," she cried while fussing at me, "I'm so glad you're safe."

I hugged the drake back. Sorry Cry, I didn't mean to scare you. She let me out of the hug and swung her head to show that I needed to speak with the council. Walking past her, I stood ready for whatever was going to come.

"It's good to see that you're well," Alexstraza kindly spoke, "Cryistinia and Tempredormu have been quite worried about you. It pains me to see any creature in such worry, but this is beside the point. Your deeds have saved six or more white flight hatchlings from dying at the hand of the blue flight. You have made me very proud outsider; not even some of the champions would've sacrificed themselves for the young ones. Crystinia has been telling me of your training in using magic and has described your interactions with her flight. After much consideration from all members of the Accord, we have decided that you will have the opportunity to be the white flight's champion and obtain one of the few amulets that has been enchanted by the white flight, red aspect, and the few blue sane blue dragons that remain. This amulet will allow you to create almost anything with your magic while allowing you regain your strength quickly. In our world you will able to create portals and even change your race until you deem it unnecessary. Be warned, Champion of the White Flight, your emotions affect the amulet just as the affect your magic. If you lose control of your emotions you will lose control of your magic. However, this is a great privilege that you've been given. If you accept this role and amulet you will be called on not only by the white flight, but other flights. Crystinia will be able to instruct you in your duties before the other flights will be able to. The only flight that you be allowed not to aid is one that's aspect has gone mad or turned against the Accord. I will also mention that you will be permitted to assist the other Azerothians in their adventures when there is no threat to the flights. Think for a few moments before making your decision."

I've nothing to lose if I join them and I'm technically under their mercy as it is… Sinewa left for IceCrown and may not come back. The white flight has always been kind to me and they've taken me in for almost a year now. I made up my mind and met the Dragon Queen's eyes.

"I accept this great honor and responsibility red aspect."

The queen smiled and walked forward. In her hands was an amulet that reminded me of the crystals in the white flight cave. It glowed a faint white and red color and tendrils of light colored magic wove around the necklace. Alexstraza placed the necklace around my neck and hooked it on.

"From now on, in every flight, you will be referred to as the Champion of the White Flight."

Crystinia ran to my side once the red aspect had finished and hugged me once again. Her laughter filled the air and she soon was joined by the others in the room.

"Come Champion, let's head back to the Crystal Cave and tell the others!" she exclaimed with excitement while she jumped off of the balcony with me still in her hug.

"OH MY GOSH!" I cried out as she threw me up into the air.

She managed to maneuver just right in order for me to land on her back. Going around the Wyrmrest Temple one last time before heading to the cave, I waved to the Wyrmrest Accord members and noticed them still chuckling. Cry whipped around the tower and sped over the snowy land leaving all the creatures startled or chasing after us.

"You ready Champion?" Cry called out over the wind.

"Ready for what?"

"A speedy landing."

"What!"

The excited drake flew into the nesting grounds and dropped herself down on the hard cave floor. She expertly slid across the floor on her four legs stopping right at the end of the cave before hitting the wall.

"Wow that was awesome!" I squealed sliding off of her back.

The other drakes and hatchlings came to see what was going on. When they saw that we had been playing they laughed and hurried to our side. Hatchlings pushed their way past the drakes and slipped under their legs and began to ask questions.

"What happened?"

"Where were you both?"

"How'd you make it back?"

"Are you alright?"

Cry silenced them, "Easy young ones, I'll explain everything."

The two of us explained what had happened. Drakes and hatchlings alike began to shout questions or demands.

"You're our Champion? How cool!"

"Does this mean you can change forms now?"

"How cool try it, try it!"

"Can you?"

Once again Crystinia hushed them, "Now, now I'm not sure that this is a good idea."

"I wouldn't hurt to try. The Dragon Queen said that I would be able to."

"I… I suppose you can," she reluctantly sighed.

The white flight let out a cheer of excitement as I stepped forward. Focusing, I thought about an animal that I had always wanted to be.

"By Al'ar's ashes you did it!" exclaimed a drake.

I was a small bright white drake with no scales; instead I had four large wings that were opalescent. On my head were two long, black, sleek horns that extended straight backward. My shout was narrow, reminding me of a crocodile. Unlike other drakes, my tail had no spikes or even a ball. No, my tail looked more like a regular lizards. Turning to my still silent flight, I looked at them for acceptance.

"You're strange looking," giggled Jemorun, "but you're like me!"

In mere moments I was surrounded in a group dragon hug. So shocked by what was happening; I had reverted back to my real form. The other drakes did not seem to mind. They were my flight and I was their champion. In a strange way I had been accepted into their family and did not seem to mind.
