2 Song: Clouds
When Oliver checked his e-mail the next day he almost smiled upon seeing, that he indeed, had received an e-mail from Mai, although he had no idea how she got his address.
Dear Oliver,
Another song, not a self written one though. It's a song that I am very attached to.
I literally cry when I listen to it.
Ayako filmed this with me, so sorry about the comments.
Bye~
Mai

Naru let the arrow hover over the link before clicking it. The file opened after downloading for a few seconds and Mai appeared on screen.
"Hello Naru! How are you doing over there?" Mai asked.
"You still alive?" Ayako asked. Mai rolled her eyes at the comment from behind the camera. "I have been informing myself-"
"Naru, Ayako has been stalking you by making Madoka tell her your e-mail address!"
He should have known from the start that Madoka had something to do with it.
"Mai! How could you!" Ayako yelled. Naru raised an eyebrow when the video stopped recording, for a second he thought that his Laptop was hanging behind or the player was having a problem with the file, but the video continued.
"So, I am currently hiding in my closet. Ayako is on a rampage and I am scared to death, but that's okay." You could barely make out Mai's silhouette in the dark closet. "I really hope you watched the first two CD's or this video might be a little confusing. But I thought a week was enough time for you to find the CD's in your suitcase."
A thump was heard from somewhere in Mai's apartment. "I should maybe whisper." Mai told herself. "Anyway, the song I have for you today is the song 'Clouds' by Zach Sobiech. Please listen carefully, it's really special to me. I'll sing it for you in this dark closet."
Oliver listened to Mai start humming a melody. Untill she started singing he thought it was a rather happy song, but the first sentence hit him rather hard with it's meaning.
"Well I fell down, down, down, into this dark and lonely hole~" She sang. "There was no one there to care about me anymore. And I needed a way, to climb and grab a hold of the edge."
He knew that he was depressed more or less since the death of his twin, so he could compare to the feeling described.
"You were sitting there holding a rope."
At those six words he had to think about Mai. Not because she was singing the song, but because she more or less helped him out of whatever he was in after his brothers death.
As she got to the chorus her breathing got heavier and faster.
"Be ready to live and it'll be ripped right out of my hands~" She sang.
In the middle of the second verse she started crying. "I'm sorry, I'll just sing the chorus once more and blend in a link to the song at the end of the video." She whispered, hiccuping.
"And we'll go up, up, up
But I'll fly a little higher
We'll go up in the clouds because the view is a little nicer
Up here my dear
It won't be long now, it won't be long now~"
Now she was sobbing and obviously forgot that Ayako was searching for her. It was killing Oliver to see her crying like that and not being able to do anything. He might be cold, (A/N: No, he's just plain bad-*** Ps: this is rated T, right?) but he never could stand it when someone cried.
He could see Mai's face clearly when the door to her closet was ripped open by a now worried Ayako.
"Honey, why are you crying? Are you hurt?" She asked. The camera was turned off before he could hear Mai's reply. Like she said a few moments later a link blended in.
He paused the video at that point and opened a new tab. Well listening to the original version of the song he started to type his reply to Mai.
Dear Mai,
Please don't make crying a part of every video. It is... distracting and it makes me sad, more or less. I didn't know this song, it's very beautiful and has a very "deep and partly dark/sad" meaning.
I do not have the time for any sort of video reply.
Yours,
Naru
With a deep breath he clicked the send button.
I can't even say how sorry I am for not updating ANY of my stories. No excuses, I'm coming clean: I forgot. I just forgot.
I can understand if some or all of you are disappointed and/or mad at me and I won't even ask for reviews.
The song that inspired and was mentioned in this chapter was "Clouds" by Zach Sobiech. I highly recommend it to all of you.
Yours,
Author
