Lorelai and Celine walked into the DuGrey mansion and noticed right away that something was off. They could both see that Janlan, Michael, and even Tristan were tense. They quickly made their way over and started to open their mouths, but snapped them shut when they realized that Rory was asleep and that the three men were glaring at them somewhat.

Lorelai looked at Tristan with a raised eyebrow. "What happened to Rory?"

Tristan sighed. "A boy at school didn't want to take no for an answer and decided to put his hands on her. By the time, I got to her I could see the fear and panic in her eyes, so I quickly stepped in and laid into him. I wasn't going to let him get away with hurting Rory even just a little so I went off on him and told him to get his hands off my wife. We put our rings on since everybody now knows that we are married."

Lorelai nodded. "I knew that everyone at Chilton now knows that you are married, but I didn't know what happened to make that come about. Louise called Celine and I both and demanded that we throw a party for you and Rory now."

Tristan ran a hand through his hair. "She wanted to throw one and I told her to get with you and mom to plan it because we're only going to have one. I'm telling you now that the party is not to be lavish and it isn't to be too big. I will NOT have Rory stressed out over something that she didn't want in the first place, but gave in and agreed to in order to make everyone else around her happy. Am I clear?"

Celine could see that her son meant exactly what he had just told her and Lorelai so she nodded. "We will make sure that it isn't lavish nor big, Tristan. Now who was it that put their hands on Rory?"

Tristan scowled. "That would be none other than Daniel Hammond. He really didn't like the fact that Rory pretty much told him what she thought about him. I think he is still smarting from where Emily promised him a date with Rory and Rory flat out refused Emily and stood Hammond up. I wanted to punch him one, but I felt it best to get Rory something to eat even though Louise stopped us as we were making our way to the lunch line."

Lorelai's eyes flashed. "I told my mother that, that boy was no good, but of course she didn't listen to one word I told her. She needs reigned in and she needs reigned in now because I will NOT allow her to cause my daughter stress."

Janlan smiled at Lorelai. "Michael and I will be talking to Richard when he gets here, Lorelai. You are not the only one who is pissed about what happened. Either Richard will be reigning Emily in or Emily will soon find out just what I am capable of when it comes to someone messing with my family. I still owe the Hayden's a little something for the way they have treated Rory. I still can't believe that Christopher refused to come to his daughter's wedding."

Lorelai sighed even as she shrugged. "Rory didn't really expect him to come and the only reason she even invited him was because she didn't want him to throw it up in her face later that he hadn't been involved. Luke always has been more of a father figure to Rory than Christopher ever has been or could ever hope to be. Hell, Michael is more of a father figure to Rory than Christopher ever has been. Straub and Francine Hayden don't care about anyone other than themselves and it's been that for I don't know how long it seems."

Michael's eyes flashed. "They are going to soon regret the things they have said and done about and to Rory. Anyone with eyes can see that Rory is a good girl and that she is smarter than most people. Straub and Francine are going to realize here shortly and everything that they have ever said and done is going to come back and bite them on their asses. Rory doesn't need them, but they will NEVER soon forget just what a DuGrey can and will do when it comes to their family. They actually tried to warn me about Rory and I laughed in their faces because I already knew what kind of girl Rory was."

Lorelai rolled her eyes. "That doesn't surprise me, Michael. Once the announcement goes out in tomorrow's paper that Tristan and Rory married over the week they are going to be trying to do some serious damage control. They are going to find those that claimed to be their friends have turned their backs on them especially once it comes out that they tried to keep Rory out of Chilton's all because they were afraid that people would connect the dots that their precious son is Rory's father. As far as I know nobody even knows let alone suspects that Christopher Hayden is Rory's father."

Tristan shook his head. "Rory has always avoided the question when asked about her sperm donor as she has said on plenty occasions. When she has talked about him even a little it was just to tell people that it doesn't matter who her father is because she is and always will be her mother's daughter in every way, shape, or form. I never cared who her father was and when I met him on the one occasion I did meet him I detested him. He was a thirty-two-year-old man who acted like a fucking toddler or teenager in everything he said and/or did. Honestly, Lorelai, I'm glad that you were the one who raised Rory because if he had been more hands on then she may not have turned out the way that she did."

Rory who had woken up smirked as she sat up straighter and leaned against Tristan. "I would have ran away had Christopher been in my life more than he had been while I was growing up. The couple of times he did take me for the day I wanted nothing more than to be back home with mom because he was using my presence to pick up women. So, what has everyone been talking about?"

Tristan chuckled as he bent his head down and stole a quick kiss from Rory. "We were talking about Hammond, Emily, and the Hayden's."

Rory's eyes lit up. "Do I get to throw it in the Hayden's face that I'm better than them now?"

Janlan laughed as he nodded. "You do, Rory, but you should know by now that you have always been better than them. Straub and Francine will find out tomorrow that you and Tristan married. I will also be having them served a couple different lawsuits. I know that you don't want their money and that you don't need it, but you do deserve it and I will make sure that you get it even if you put it in a trust fund for the little one that you are carrying currently."

Rory smiled slightly as her hand ran over her still flat stomach. "Alright I'll accept whatever you can get from them, Grandfather Janlan. Besides I think it will be hilarious when they realize that they money they have to give me will be put in a trust fund for the great grandchild that they will NEVER get to meet or know."

Janlan smirked. "That is the way to think about it, granddaughter. Now, why don't you and Tristan go up and get changed for dinner? I know that you will feel better after a shower and clean clothes. Oh, and one of us will be calling you and Tristan into school tomorrow, Rory. You need the rest and Tristan wouldn't be able to concentrate if he was at school without you because he would be worrying too much."

Rory nodded and sent the man she had come to see as a grandfather a smile. She blew kisses at everyone as she let her husband lead her out of the family room and up the stairs to the bedroom. She really did love the family that she was making with her new husband.
