Hey... Yeah I know it's been a loooooonnnnngggg time... I'm sorry. I was having a terrible case of writers block. But I finally went damn it it needs to be done! (For the readers!) So I forced myself to write, then after finishing the first paragraph (which was hell) the writers block finally went away and my creativity flowed!

Well I hope you enjoy! Oh and sorry for the slight cliffhanger at the end. But it will probably make some of you happy :)

Laxus visually paled when Lucy had asked him the exact question he was wishing that she wouldn't. Why was it his luck to have no way for him to be in another seat?

At least Mira hadn't given it away when she found out at the grand magic games.

He had no idea how Lucy would even act like towards his motion sickness. He didn't know how she acted towards Natsu. Oh he hoped to god it wasn't anything like Erza did to Natsu when he got motion sick.

Laxus paled even more.

"Laxus, you don't happen to have motion sickness—do you?" she asked again this time leaning in. She made a fake sweet smile on her face. She could play this to her advantage.

Laxus turned to Lucy showing her his face, which was not looking too good. Usually he either didn't sit with anyone, or he had Freed make an anti motion sick rune.

Obviously that hadn't worked this time.

"Yes," he finally muttered, his ego flattening.

Lucy's smile faded into a more caring one. She hadn't expected Laxus to actually confess to motion sickness. Actually she didn't really know that he was as nice as he was untill two days ago. So she decided to give in and be nice to the dragon slayer.

Lucy moved over across to the other seat next to Laxus. He watched her move wearily, unsure of what she was planing. He was sure it wasn't going to be good for him. Or his ego.

Then Lucy motioned for him to put his head on her lap "it usually helps out Natsu a lot," she said with a smile.

Laxus looked down at Lucy's lap then to her face, then to her lap again, then back to her face "your kidding right?" he asked. His internal man pride was saying that this was a no go situation.

Lucy's replying expression told him the answer to his question. Sighing Laxus slowly lowered his head onto Lucy's lap, half unsure of how exactly to go about this situation. It was kinda awkward... And if anyone ever heard about it at fairytail he would never hear the end of it.

As soon as his head hit Lucy's lap he could feel a flood of relief go through his body and instantly he relaxed. "holy crap.." he muttered quietly not really believing it was helping him so much. It was like his whole body was melting into a mush of relaxation and relief.

Lucy giggled lightly "feeling better?" she asked. He seamed as though he was. His color was already back and he was much more relaxed.

Laxus breathed out and closed his eyes "yeah," he said. It was comfortable laying his head in her lap... And also relaxing. He didn't care about his stupid man pride anymore.

Lucy laughed again and sat back against the seat closing her eyes. The mission hadn't really gone bad at all, they got the money (plus some) without having to pay any back, she only got one outfit ruined (compared to the numerous ones that usually got destroyed), and she felt closer to Laxus (quite literally actually).

Lucy's mind wondered off on the thought of Laxus. He seamed so much like the hard core, big, mean, tough guy, but he was actually nice. He had quickly covered her up when her shirt was ripped, he had gotten her a milkshake, and he hadn't completely ignored her the whole mission.

Lucy let out a breath of air as she thought back to two days ago when Laxus had rescued her. When he had seen her injured she remembered seeing a flash of caring toward her, then anger that she had gotten hurt. It was nice to know that he cared so much about her wellbeing to be mad that she had gotten injured.

A smile grew onto Lucy's face. She was actually really happy that fate had turned out like this, she was already getting to know Laxus so much better. Plus she had seen some of his softer side.

Lucy giggled at the thought of Laxus with his lightning bolt blanket.

Laxus frowned slightly "what are you laughing at blondie?" he asked. He had he feeling that it had something to do with him. Call it dragon slayers intuition.

Lucy giggled some more "oh nothing!" she said smiling slightly towards him mischievously. It wasn't something she was going to tell. The picture of him with his blanket expanded intowhirl thigh him also wearing lightning bolt pajamas.

Laxus sat up "ok I know.." he stopped when his motion sickness rushed back to him and he plopped right back down to Lucy's lap "damn..." he muttered sweat dropping.

This was ridiculous! Why did he have to get motion sick? Why was it something that occurred to dragon slayers? It made him so mad that he had such a big and easy to exploit weakness.

Plus it kinda made him look weak in front of Lucy.

Lucy's giggles became more like laughter at Laxus. He was just making the situation to easy to laugh at! Most likely it was because of his bad boy attitude. Natsu would just go with it.

Laxus breathed in heavily "I will get my revenge on you later blondie," he said then relaxed into her lap again. He had no idea why it helped, but it did. So that was where he was going to stay until this cursed ride was over.

It wasn't like he could do anything else at he moment then just lay there like a dead fish.

"Yeah right sparky," Lucy giggled evily and rebelliously.

Laxus tsked. Damn blondie. She didn't even really find his threats threatening anymore... Well it didn't help that he wouldn't harm a guildmate. Unless perhaps they seriously deserved it like Bickslow had yesterday, or when Natsu was stupid enough to challenge him. But Laxus knew the fireball could take it.

Laxus just closed his eyes again trying to compleatly pull down his man pride as he lay on Lucy's lap. At least it wasn't a long train ride. They sat in silence as the train made its way to Mongolia.

Laxus just laid there the whole time with thoughts of blondie running through his head. He had an idea of something he was going to do later. Well actually ask. He had enjoyed hanging out with blondie for he past few days, and he wanted to try something...

The train coming to a halt caused relief to flood through his body. Quickly he jumped up from Lucy's lap. It was finally over!

Lucy laughed at Laxus when he had jumped up so quickly when the train stopped. He was way to excited to get off the train.

They both quickly got off the train at made their way out of the station. Laxus suddenly got a sinking feeling in his stomach from his plan. What the hell! He never got nervous! Luckily Lucy didn't notice because she kept walking along humming to a song only she could hear.

Laxus quickly walked up to match pace with her. Thoughts where racing through his head and it felt like he wasn't acting anything like himself. Damn it Laxus pull yourself together! You never have been nervous before!

He walked along side of her and kept trying to pep talk himself. His hands were shaking slightly which angered him and it would stop. But then he would think about what he was going to ask and his hand would start shaking again.

Damn it Laxus pull yourself together!

Finally he got the courage to say her name.

"Lucy," Laxus said calmly, however there was a slight waver in his voice that he hoped to god she didn't hear. It was already hard enough for him to be doing this. As to why it was so damn hard to do, he wasn't sure.

Lucy turned her head to face him with a smile on her face "yes Laxus?" she asked with a quirked eyebrow at him.

Laxus gulped, she looked so... Beautiful...he shook his head and stepped towards her mustering up the strength to speak.

Lucy rose her eyebrows wondering what Laxus was going to say. It seamed important and he seamed a little off. She couldnt help but notice the slight red tint to his face. Ok that was odd. Now she really wanted to know.

Lucy stopped and compleatly faced him. Prepearing herself for whatever was going to come out of his mouth.

She was not ready for the question that he asked next.

"Would you like to go to dinner with me tonight?"

As I said slight cliffhanger.

Ok so Dragongirl4fairytail hmmmm... Good idea... OOOHHH how about Erza?! She could get jealous becuase Lucy is spending less girl time with her! Unless other readerstubing differently... Ideas are brewing! Oh I got it!

Ok everyone! We are going to have someone get jealous at how much time Lucy is spending with Laxus! Who shall it be! Send it to me in reviews please!
