Chapter 17

January 7th, 2023, 7:25 A.M, Snowfall Inn,

After waking up from a really sad dream, and finding out that Klein and his guild found the boss room. I'm about to leave to go fight it when, Yami comes running in. "Mistress Mizore, Kuro and I were just about to finish our night watch, when we spotted that girl Rosalia killing people."

"Rosalia but she has been quiet since Ami joined." I reply

"Yes, but now she is back. We would have fought her but, she had like 5 people with her. So I came to get back up. Kuro is still there keep an eye on her. I told him to message if anything changes. "

I stop and think for a think, I turn to Saya. " Can you take half the guild with you, to fight the boss? "

"Yes you can count on me! That boss is as good as dead!"

"Thanks Saya, now I think a team of six will do to take out Rosalia ? Saya I'm gonna take Yami, Kuro, Kenshin, Tora and, Ami with me. You take the rest of the guild to fight the boss. Saya, I'm counting on you keep everyone with you safe

"Yes my lady, you can count on me." Saya gives me a thumbs up and smiles.

"Thank you Saya, now go kick some boss ass!" Saya starts messaging her team while I message mine. Quickly they all respond, and say to meet the in the lobby of the inn. Saya runs out of the room, while I sit and wait. After a few minutes they all assemble in the lobby. " Yami message Kuro and ask if Rosaila's status has changed."

She dose that and quickly gets a response. " Kuro says no, and that she is still on floor 8. Her and her friends have an ambush set up in the forest on the north side of Snowfall village."

I pull up my menu and go to my friend list. SAO has a feature where u can track players. You unlock this with a high enough searching skill. I use this skill to track Kuro, it says he is just out the north end of the forest. " According my tracking skill, Kuro is about 2 kilometers from northern entrance to snowfall. Let's go stop Rosalia!

We start running towards the north gate, when I notice Ami looking a distressed. "Ami is something bothering you?"

"No nothing at all " she replies.

"Come on Ami you can tell me? "

" Mizore, why bring me along to beat her? How do you know, that I won't give in to my emotions? How do you know, I won't end up killing Rosalia to avenge my friends?"

"Ami, do you not think you can handle it? You can still go with Saya if you want?"

"No, I wanna stop Rosalia. But I don't know if im ready to face her yet. I mean, what if I'm not strong enough to fight her ? What if she kills me?"

So, she was just scared to face Rosalia. I couldn't really blame her for that. But I know she is good. "Ami I Know you're strong. You train really hard every day. Ami I know you will make the right decision if you beat her, and you don't I promise I won't let her kill you."

"Thank you Mizore, I appreciate that." Ami says as we reach kuro's location. Kuro jumps down from a big pine tree he was hiding in.

"Mizore good you made it, she is right over there. You ready to stop her?" And yea I was ready. I had a plan to surprise her. I pull everyone in close and explain the plan. Once done explaining, everyone takes their positions. Yami and kuro in the tree, Ami Tora, and Kenshin in a party as bait. I use my hidden skill to follow them, and I hope Rosalia's detection skill wasn't higher than my hidden skill. Just as I thought she would Rosalia tries to ambush them.

"You guys can hand over all of your item, if you wanna live that is!" Rosalia says as she and her friends appear. I decided to wait and see what she would do.

"Yea, like that is gonna happen Rosalia!" Says Ami.

Rosalia points her spear at Ami and says. " Come on girl, don't be stupid. There is six of us and only three of you."

Seeing this as the perfect moment to intervene, I say. " Three, now are you really sure about that Rosalia. Because I see it as six versus six." As I say that Yami and Kuro jump down from there tree. I deactivate my hidden skill and appear in front of Rosalia.

"I should have known that it was you Shinigami girl! Are you here to stop me again?"

"Yes, but I think that you and Ami here..." I point to Ami. " ...Have a score to settle."

Rosalia looks at Ami " Do I know you girl?"

"You should remember me. You killed all best friend, my older sister, and my boyfriend."

"I've killed a lot of people, so why should Care?"

"Because I'm gonna take you down."

You can hear the sarcasm in Rosalia's voice as she says "yeah sure you will."

"Ami you take Rosalia, I will take one of her minions."

I trun towards someone and pull out my scythe. " Is everyone ready?" I ask. The all say yes in unison. I run toward my target, with scythe in hand. He was two-handed sword user, so I shouldn't have a problem. I know how to deal with big sword, because I used one the first two weeks or so of the game. I swing the blade end of my weapon at him, he dodges and says.

"I don't know why you're using a weapon like that. The the negatives of it outweigh the benefits."

"Maybe so, but you would be surprised what I can do with a Scythe."

I slice at him, he dodges again, but this was to be expected. I shift my weight a bit and wack him with the metal handle. I know it won't cuase pain, what serves as more of a distraction then an attack. He drops his guard for a second, and I attack. I slice him in the side, and deal a bit of damage.

"Well I didn't expect that but, don't think I willl let it happen again."

He swings his sword, I block with my scythe handle. I take one hand my of the handle, and go to my throwing needle pouch. I have started keeping them on me, because you never know when they might be useful. I pull one out but rather then throwing it, I stab him with it.

" Yea, like that is gonna do anything. Those things my be able to kill monsters, but they wont do a damn thing to me." My opponent says.

" Who said I was trying to kill you with it? My throwing needles are dipped in paralysis potion. Hidden skill! " I turn invisible and walk behind him . I slice him the back , and say." You can't win , I have made stopping pkers my mission. I then slice him again, as the paralysis wears off.

" I know where you are reaper girl. You're on my left side right about here! "He swings at me and actually lands a hit. The blow cuase my hidden skill to be disrupted. The blow was also a critical blow.

He swings again but this time I block it. Then I just shift my weight a bit and swing. He doesn't have time to read my movements and I hit him the shoulder. I active a scythe skill and my scythe starts to glow. I pull out another needle and he quickly jumps back. I throw it at him and he blocked it with his sword. Using that moment, I run at him and slice him at the waste. The blow dealt is a critical one. I turn the blade of my scythe upwards' thrust it up. I use the the hook of the blade to pull his sword from his hands. The force of the pull causes him to fall forward. I step on his back and put the blade of my scythe to his neck.

"One more attack will kill you and you know it. But unlike you I'm not a killer, so I shall spare your life." I take my foot off of his back and help him up.

"If you think helping me up, will make me like you. It won't! But I swear I will get back at you for beating me. I will kill you, one day." He turns and runs away.

I look over at the others who had also finished their fights. What was left of Rosaila and her gang Runaway. " So Ami, how did your fight with Rosalia go? "

"Not good I'm afraid she almost killed me."

" well that just means you need to train harder."

I had a chance to kill her but I couldn't do it. They couldn't do it because I didn't want to be like her. I didn't want to a killer.

" I think you made the right choice."

Our conversation was interrupted by the sound of fireworks. We look up and see words in the sky that say floor "9 has been cleared."

Looks like the boss raid was successful I guess that's good " Tora says.

I start walking towards town. "Come on guys let's go back to the inn. I want to hear all about the boss fight."
