Cyclonia
It's been a hectic morning, Cyclonis decided that since the storm hawks had arrived it was time to move up the wedding.
So without asking my opinion she sends her maid team to get my wedding dress pick out.
So far we've gone through 12 different dresses each one more elaborate than the next.
"It has to be perfect I won't accept anything else" Cyclonis all but screams at the maids scrambling about.
"Cyclonis calm down" I say reaching out to stop her in mid rampage.
"But I just want to make sure everything goes right" she stammers.
I sigh and do the only think I know will stop her from thinking for a while.
I capture her mouth on mine in a deep kiss for a few moments.
Her body goes from stiff and rigid to lose and relaxed in all but seconds. I pull back to see she's even managed a goofy smile.
"Now, go make sure everyone else is ready I'll be fine here"
"…yeah okay" she says mind still not fully functioning as she walks out the door.
I turn and face the maid team who look at me with expressions of awe. I realize that this is the first time I've kissed her while anyone was around to actually see.
"What? She would have just gotten more obsessed with details, now come on girls we have a dress to find."
And after a few more minutes we find the perfect dress buried under a mountain of boxes. It was mostly purple with red tipped sleeves that seemed to shimmer a bit in the light.
"Well we found the dress, I wonder what everyone else is up to hopefully they're not causing trouble"
Cyclonia Main Hall
Arrow and Stork were watching snipe smash giant blocks of ice into ice cubs using his massive mace.
"So Arrow you really okay with this? I mean us here on Cyclonia, waiting for a wedding." Stork says dodging oncoming ice chunks.
"No not really, but if Pipers happy then I guess I can lean to live with it." He states watching other staff members go about their various tasks.
The doors open and in walks in Finn. The first thing the two notice about the sharpshooter is the purple lipstick marks around his neck and mouth. The second is the fact his clothes are a complete mess.
"Sup, what are you looking at?" Finn asks a bit disturbed by the look his friend were giving him.
Arrow looks to stork for the answer who just shrugs his shoulders.
"So Finn, what's up with the new look" Arrow asks breaking the ice.
Finn looks at Arrow for a moment before grabbing an empty catering tray and looking at its reflection.
"Ah man I told her not to mess up my hair" he says his usual winey tone coming forth
"So what exactly happened" Stork asks
Finn takes his time before smiling and raising his hands
"Alright it went like this, Junk and I were walking to the kitchen to grab some quick grub when out of nowhere I get pulled into this tiny room by Ravies. Then she just starts making out with me, I mean who could blame her."
Arrow face palms before he responds
"Need I ask what happed next?"
"Not much really, she just stopped all of a sudden and left saying she had some music to prepare" Finn says shaking his hand not understanding what had happened.
Junko comes into view holding an entire block of cheese in hand eating it as he walks over to the guys.
"Hey guys, you gotta try this they just have it laying around"
Junk takes in Finn new look
"What happened to you?"
"Something awesome and totally cool."
Arrow sensing that Finn was going to tell his story ventures over to ease his boredom by talking to the slab of muscle known as Snipe.
"What do you want storm hawk?" he says in mid smash
"Just want to talk, you know the thing people do with each other" Snipe puts down his mace
"Listen up storm hawk, I'm good at two things smashing things and… uh… smashing bigger things! Yeah that's it." Seeing that no good would come from talking to snipe arrow was about to return to his friends when the dark ace passes by the open doors.
Cyclonia Hidden chamber rooms
The dark ace walks into the room occupied mostly by elder nobles who protest the wedding and by soldiers that the dark ace had picked for their loyalty to him or their violent nature in some cases both.
"Gentlemen, our plan is about to begin have all the preparations been made."
"Yes, we've gathered all the supplies you asked for but…"
"But what!"
"For our plan to work we'll need at least one royal alive"
The dark ace puts on a wicked grin at the people before him
"Oh don't worry, by the end of this, one is all that we'll need. Soon all the guests will arrive, all the sky knights in Atmos will be in attendance. If our plan goes as planned they'll be gone along with Cyclonis leaving Atmos defenseless"
Cyclonis Room 3 hours until wedding
Piper was pacing back and forth waiting for Arrow to arrive. She had told a maid to fetch him so that they could speak in private before the wedding.
There was a barrage of things that had to be said.
The door opens slowly as he walks in a nervous expression vivid on his face at being in the room of Cyclonis
"The maid said you wanted to talk"
"Yeah… I had this planned out in my head but now it's a blur"
Piper takes a deep breath
"Well for the time being I'm going to be here on Cyclonia with Cyclonis until the baby is born, and even then I want to be with them for a while"
Arrow looks a little disappointed and asks a question he probably shouldn't
"There is another option"
"What" Piper gets a bad feeling at him say another option
"You could return to the Condor and we could raise it"
"… I'm sorry Arrow but I can't do that to Cyclonis it wouldn't be fair to her or to Aurora"
"Aurora?"
"It's the name I decided on. It seemed fitting seeing as both of her parents are crystal mages"
"Her?"
This time it was Pipers turn to look irate
"I know we didn't really receive an education on this but even you have to know that girl plus girl is going to equal girl"
Arrow looks on at Piper and the way she looks at him. He knows then that he's lost her.
"Sorry about that I just want you to be happy, in the end that's all that matters"
The share a quick hug before he leaves her to her business.
Just as he closes the door he notices Cyclonis standing there
"How long have you been there?"
"Long enough"
Arrow starts walking past her but not before leaning close as he passes her face a mixture of seriousness and rage
"Don't you ever hurt her or not even your night crawlers could keep you safe" And for once in her life Cyclonis actually looked scared
" If I ever did I would order them on myself first"
They look eachother in the eye waiting for one to blink.
The share a nod before Arrow walks on leaving Cyclonis to enter her room to talk with Piper.
"so our child finally has a name, Aurora huh I like it."
"you would have like any name I gave her"
"I know"
