Chapter 26 Bad Timeing
Lilly and Ben had just returned with their new offspring Dusty and where now enoying their time togther and relaxing with her. It was 5 weeks since she had been born and Lilly and Ben where relaxing on the sofa and resting from being up all night with Dusty. Lilly was resting her head on Ben's chest happy he was their and happy as well. Just as Ben was about to fall asleep his mobile rang making everyone run in to find out who it was as Ben answered "Hello yeah i see what now but yes sir i understand alright bye" Ben said sighing getting up and sitting on the Sofa making Lilly get up and look at him "Ben what's wrong love" She asked nuzzleing him.
"I got to go to afganistann" Ben sighed looking at everyone as Lilly looked at him and hugged him "But why hun" Lilly asked clearly upset about it "They need someone to lead them hun so i have to go" Ben said sadly hugging her as Lilly held him tightly not wanting to let go of him "How long are you leaveing for hun" Lilly asked as Ben looked at her sadly. "A year" Ben said as the others looked down as well not seeing him for a whole year a Lilly just hugged him tighter. "This isnt fair why you" Lilly asked holding him closer still "They want me to lead a fighter squadron" Ben said looking at her daguter "I'll miss her as well" Ben said crying with Lilly it was very bad timing. The next day the entire family went to Jasper airport with Ben to see him off as the others where waiting at the gate whilst Ben was getting prepared around 10 minutes before the plane was to take off Ben came round the corner in his army gear. "You sure you got to go son" Frostline asked tearing up seeing her son going back to war "Oh mom please don't start" Ben said tearing up as well as Winston and Eve took Ben's parents away to calm them down leave just Kate,Humphrey and Lilly to say goodbye to. As Ben got closer to the gate Kate and Humphrey walked up to him as Kate hugged him strongly "Easy Kate it's okay" ben said comforting her as she turned back to Humphrey and cuddled him "Humphrey listen to me your the man of the house make sure you look after your wife and child" Ben said happily as Humphrey nodded "I'll make sure Lilly and Dusty are safe as well" Humphrey replied walking away with Kate keeping a brave face on.
