To be said, Aveline did try Lisa's tactic, and she was surprised to see that it worked. Donnic was quick to confess his feelings for the woman and while they hadn't expressed their relationship in public yet, the majority of the guard already knew – especially by the number of times Donnic would be pulled into Aveline's office only to return with a goofy grin on his face.

Lisa, though, was the last of the people to hear and Aveline felt like she needed to apologize to her in person. So after sending a note to her estate, Lisa decided to give her a chance as she returned to the barracks, Kane in tow. Her knuckles tapped lightly on the door before slowly pushing it open. It wasn't like Aveline was ever doing any work that she kept from Lisa, but this ended up being one of the times where waiting for a response would've been a good idea.

She had hardly pushed it open a foot before seeing bare skin. Her eyes grew wide and Kane giggled behind her before she slammed it closed, her cheeks red with embarrassment. Kane continued to make a fuss about seeing Aunt Aveline naked but Lisa had to admit she wasn't exactly prepared for it. Maybe because she had to admit that the woman truly did have a nice figure under all of that heavy armor.

It was a few minutes later before the door opened again and Donnic stepped out, not able to look at Lisa as the Hawke cleared her throat nervously before stepping into the office. "Lisa…I'm sorry, I should've told you sooner, I didn't think you were going to bring Kane."

"Aveline naked!" Kane giggled as Lisa frowned and raised a brow at the ginger.

"So am I allowed to say 'I told you so?'" Lisa smirked allowing Aveline to break into a light laugh as she nodded her head.

"You very much are. And I would like to apologize for what I said about your relationships…it wasn't fair. I can tell you and Isabela are having your problems." Lisa sighed and shook her head, leading Kane to a chair as Aveline handed him a random book and quickly the child entertained himself with the detailed pictures in it.

"That's just it…there aren't really any problems between us. It's just because she won't tell me who she really is."

"That's the type of person she is, Lisa. Her life is just about what people see on the surface. I'm sure you're the first person that's really tried to see anything deeper with her and I'm sure that scares her."

"You think?"

"I'm sure." Lisa smiled and nodded before glancing at Kane and then back at Aveline.

"Can I leave Kane here and not worry about him being scarred for life?" Aveline gave her an annoyed look before Lisa chuckled and waved her hand at the comment, making her way out the door.

But Aveline got her thinking. That made sense with Isabela. They'd slept with one another a few times after talking at the Hanged Man, but every time it came to a close she was quick to get up and leave rather than spend the evening sleeping with her. Could that be her way of keeping things casual? Was she scared? Lisa couldn't really tell.

The next big thing to happen was Fenris's old master popping up again. Lisa knew he was getting antsy just sitting around and waiting for him, but after they were ambushed on the beach he suddenly seemed hesitant about it all. They headed towards a cave that was the slaver's headquarters only for him to pull Lisa to the side.

"Hawke," he remarked, licking his lips before giving a small sigh, "you need to know that these people don't deserve any form of justice. They do whatever they can to gain power and to keep it."

"Fenris, are you okay?" She asked, tilting her head to the side as the elf nodded slowly, glancing at the dark opening of the cave.

"I've just spent so many years running from him that I can't believe I'm actually going after him now. I just want to thank you, Hawke," Lisa frowned.

"You make it sound like you're not going to come out of this," she responded only for Fenris to ignore it as he made his way into the cave. And almost the moment they stepped through the door Lisa could see what he was talking about. The slavers – made primarily of mages – were dabbling in blood magic. Lisa had to admit that she didn't see as much of an issue when it came to that kind of magic when the mage was using his or her own blood as the source. But it made her sick to see them using innocent souls just to increase their power.

They fought their way through the slaver's hovel before coming face-to-face with Hadriana. The woman was apparently Denarius's apprentice and did everything in her power to make Fenris's life a living hell. And maybe Lisa found a bit too much joy in putting the woman down with all of the horribleness Fenris had to go through.

The mage lay on the ground, pleading to Fenris to let her live and right before he swung the final blow she found exactly what Fenris needed to hear to stop. "You have a sister!" She shouted and Fenris's arms stopped as his frown deepened. Slowly he lowered his sword as Hadriana sat up a little more.

"How can we trust you?" Lisa asked as the mage chuckled, turning her attention to the woman with a small smirk.

"You can't…but this is an offer I know Fenris won't refuse." She turned back to him, "I can't tell you where your sister is, but you must give me your word that you'll let me live." Fenris hesitated for a moment before leaning in and giving a slow nod of her head. The woman seemed to suddenly look relieved and Lisa had to admit that Fenris right surprised her up until he got all of the information he needed from Hadriana. Once he had everything he needed to know the lyrium in his body made his skin glow blue and he sunk his hand into her chest, grabbing her heart to stop it.
