"And the world is rid of one more blood mage," he sneered as he stood up. Lisa's mouth was open slightly as Isabela put it perfectly.

"Well that was a twist if I ever saw one," she remarked flatly.

"I couldn't let her live."

"Fenris…what she said…" Lisa started, reaching out and touching his shoulder as he snapped back.

"What she said was a trap! I'm sure Denarius told her to say that to me! All of this was pointless…just another dead end," he shouted before storming off as Lisa sighed and rubbed the back of her tense neck.

"This is going to be a tough thing to get him through," she muttered to Isabela who nodded in agreement. But again, the man surprised her. When she arrived at her home for the night she found Fenris waiting for her outside, leaning against the column and immediately straitening up at the sight of her. "Uh…hi, is there something wrong?"

"No…no," he started, looking down and shaking his head, "I just wanted to say thank you. I know that I don't seem to appreciate what you've done for me during these past few years but I have. As for Hadriana…"

"I understand. If she was as bad as you say then I'm glad you didn't let her go," and for a split second she saw him smile as he nodded. Lisa smirked and moved towards the door, "Would you like to join us for supper?" Fenris shook his head as he stepped back into the street.

"Thank you, Hawke, but I think I'm going to just go and get some rest." Lisa smiled and nodded, waving him off before heading inside.

After that Fenris seemed a lot more relaxed during the day. It was like a massive weight was off his shoulders. She was sure he was still thinking about his sister and Denarius but there seemed to be a new sort of bounce in his step now. Which was much more than she'd seen when they had first met.

Then there was the trouble with the Kirkwall killer. She'd run into his work a few years before with the wife's bag of bones. For some reason Lisa hoped that it would come back to her, that the man would just fade into the background. But soon enough even Aveline was asking her to look into it. And so she did.

There wasn't much of a lead except an address so Lisa figured she would start there. Cautiously she opened the door to the massive estate, finding it all eerily empty. "So…we're looking for a man that's targeting random women?" Isabela asked as Lisa climbed up the first set of stairs.

"Right now we're just looking to see if he left us any clues?"

"Since when did we become detectives?"

"Since I agreed to this," she smirked over her shoulder at the pirate who was pushing through some papers on a table.

They kept moving from room to room, finding that the owner had a strange collection of notes, phials of blood, and women's clothing. But it wasn't really anything that would take them to another lead, so they kept searching. Only then they seemed to stumble upon the ultimate clue as they found a mage trying to keep a blonde woman quiet.

"Well this certainly doesn't look good for you," Lisa remarked as she pulled out her bow, an arrow notched and ready to fire if needed. But rather than running the man quickly held up his hands, immediately he started explaining his purpose, the blood, the clothes, the letters and while Lisa hesitated slightly she finally lowered her weapon before looking at the woman.

"So is she the next on the killer's list?"

"Don't let him touch me!" The woman cried, pushing past him as she ran from the room. The mage cursed, rubbing his temples before nodding slowly.

"He leaves a bouquet of white lilies when he's interested in the woman. She was the last one that had received them." The man then looked at Lisa and Isabela and clicked his tongue in thought, "Well…I can see that you're quite armed so I wouldn't be the smartest to go up against you when I'm clearly out numbered so I could only hope that you believe me." There was silence as Lisa raised her chin, "Right, well I will be in Darktown if you wish to find me if you find anymore leads." And then he was gone and for a moment Lisa thought maybe she'd made the wrong choice.

"If anything gets fishy you can just go find him," Isabela reassured as Lisa sighed and nodded. Hopefully they wouldn't need to deal with him, she had to admit that she was starting to get a little tired with all of this death.

Unfortunately, she wasn't with it as Merrill politely as her to come with her to help get something sacred from her clan. Lisa wasn't very sure about this, the woman seemed very nervous that she'd be completely denied of her needs and Lisa couldn't help but wonder why. The mirror the girl had shown her looked harmless and she said it was important for her past. If the elves were so intent on regaining some of their history why wouldn't they support something like this?

Either way they made their way up to Sundermount only to find that Merrill had something unexpected up her sleeve. Apparently her Keeper didn't approve enough of what she wanted to do to give it to them willingly, so Merrill announced that they would take part in a sort of challenge. Lisa wasn't particularly thrilled.
