AN: At some point apologizing for taking so long to update gets kind of pointless when one realizes that they always take forever to update. Originally this chapter was going to be longer but I came to a point that I just had to stop at. Next up to be updated would be Crimson Knightmare followed by Shaman King and then Justice League crossover, and possibly a small update for Sword Art.

Disclaimer: I do NOT own Naruto, Digimon, or anything else that may or may not appear in this Fic.

(Author Notes)

Since Rika asked Naruto to help her grow stronger the shinobi had been giving the redhead extra training to improve her ability to use chakra, control it, and improve her physical skills. Naruto offered to help Takato and Henry with more training, but the two lacked the reason to train harder than they already did so they had refused. Naruto had insisted though that they should gain experience withstanding his K.I. so that they wouldn't freeze up if something dire happened. Of course he eased them into it if he hadn't Naruto risked causing the Tamers heart to come to a complete stop, Rika having dealt with near death like situations before dealt with the K.I. better than her two male friends. Naruto had also started teaching the three how to use kunai and shuriken, though he didn't really expect the Tamers to ever need to use them since those ninja's weapons would only be somewhat effective against Rookie level Digimon and the weaker Champion level Digimon.

Rika had also expressed an interest in learning to use a sword. Unfortunately for the redhead Naruto had limited knowledge when it came to using a sword, what little bit that Killer Bee had showed Naruto during his time training with the Hachibi Jinchuuriki. Naruto had at the very least promised to show his girlfriend the basics of how to use a sword and help her further her skills with it as they went.

The Digimon's training also progressed gradually over the course of their training. Each day they got stronger and faster as they learned to use their energy better. Even as Rookies, Naruto was sure that the Tamer Digimon could hold their own against most Champion level Digimon. Naruto would have considered having the Digimon train in their Champion forms if not for the fact that Growlmon's size made it difficult for the large dinosaur styled Digimon to train safely and effectively in their clearing. A problem Naruto would eventually try to figure out if it was necessary.

Naruto maintained his own training as well managing to get away from the city to train in the mountains, or some other isolated location, so he didn't have to hold back as much. He still had to hold back of course, he couldn't really risk an entire an entire mountain or section of a forest suddenly being wiped out. He'll definitely have to look in to a solution for a proper place to train later.

Currently though the Tamers were gathered at Guilmon's shed because of something that Henry was persistent on.

"Remind me again why you want to hunt down where this card came from?" Naruto asked Henry after the blue haired Tamer said he wanted to search for the original owner of the Blue Card that he now had in his possession.

"Don't you want to know where it came from?" Henry countered standing at the entrance to the shed, as he looked toward Naruto who was standing to his right. "And why a random card suddenly changed when I scanned it."

"Not really." Naruto admitted. "Besides don't most of the Blue Cards transform from cards we have in our decks." The shinobi pointed out.

"I agree with Whiskers." Rika said, as she leaned against the wall arms crossed from Naruto's right. "This just seems like a waste of time to me." She decided.

Henry did his best not to sigh and point out the cliché that since Naruto and Rika were dating of course she'd agree with him. Honestly though even if Naruto wasn't there Henry believed that Rika's opinion would still have been the same. Truthfully the only reason he wasn't letting the matter drop was because he was the one to bring it to the others attention in the first place otherwise he was sure he would've been just as dismissive.

"Come on guys this is a real mystery and we as Tamers should try and solve it." Takato said, on Henry's left, supporting the half-Chinese Tamer fully.

"Thanks Takato." Henry said sparing the brunette a quick smile before returning his attention back to the two he was trying to convince. "Look guys since I got that card from Kenta the other day I've just been having a weird feeling about it. And when I had my dad scan it-"

"He scanned the strip on the edge of the card that works similar to ones on credit cards right." Naruto cut in, in order to clarify. Because a computer scanning a card only made sense to figure out what it was made of.

"Right," Henry said dryly upset by how he was suddenly cut off, "After he scanned it." The half-Chinese Tamer started again, "Whatever he found had him acting weird too. I have to find out what ever secret is behind this card." Henry stated.

Now Naruto was genuinely curious wondering what it was that Henry's father found that would him out. "Can I see it?" The shinobi asked holding his hand out for the card.

Henry blinked a couple of times not expecting the blonde's sudden request. "Oh sure," He answered pulling the card out of his pocket and handing it to Naruto. "Here."

Over the course of the last few months Naruto's progress with the Digital Hazard had come to the point that he could scan just about anything digital almost instantly. As soon as Henry handed over the card to him Naruto activated the Digital Hazard, though kept it low key to make sure it wasn't noticed by the others through his gloves, and scanned the card for himself'. Most of what he found Naruto had trouble wrapping his head around it, an algorithm that allowed wishes, miracles, to happen was' not the sort of thing Naruto could even begin to understand how it came from pieces of coded data. But that was something that Naruto found deep within the cards code not the sort of thing that Henry's father would have been able to find with a simple computer, so Naruto searched for whatever it was not so deep in the code.

'Shibumi,' Naruto thought finding the name imbedded within a script of data, it being the only thing that really stood out.

"So what do you think?" Henry asked after a few seconds of watching Naruto stare at the card.

Naruto was drawn out of his musings by Henry's question so he made a show of looking the card over, even moving the card so that the 'D' and the pixilated dinosaur on the card appeared and disappeared before handing back to Henry. "It looks like a normal Blue Card." Naruto lied partially. "But if your serious about this."

"I am," Henry stated with a nod.

Naruto nodded in return. "Then we'll check this out." The shinobi decided. With the three male Tamers all in agreement they all turned to the female Tamer and waited for her response.

Seeing all of them looking at her expectantly caused Rika to let out a groan, "Ugh, I still think that this is a waste of time but fine." Rika relented. "So where do we start with this?" She questioned.

The first thing that the Tamers did was track down Kenta finding the glasses wearing teen hanging out at the playground with a few other teens from their class. Takato and Henry pulled the teen to the side, while Naruto and Rika waited a few feet away not seeing any reason that they had to take part in the little interrogation, and Henry began to question Kenta on how he came to possess the card before he gave it to Henry.

"Come on Kenta think, where did Jeremy get the card from?" Henry pressured urgently.

Kenta tried to think of anything that he might have forgotten, but after a moment he shook his head when he couldn't recall anything else. "We just traded cards, I never asked." He answered.

Rika didn't even attempt to hold back her groan once she realized that they would have to hunt down the Jeremy kid if they wanted any more answers. Rika sent a pleading look towards Naruto almost begging him to agree to them abandoning the search, she honestly would prefer to be training then wasting her time on this stupid search. Her training was hard, Naruto ensured it was never easy, but after each day of training Rika felt a sense of accomplishment. She enjoyed when she practiced with the wooden sword Naruto had given her as she was completely focused on mastering it.

Naruto gave Rika an apologetic smile before he started following Takato and Henry after Kenta told them where Jeremy tended to hang out. Letting out a sigh Rika caught up to her boyfriend and the other two Tamers, feeling Renamon giving her Tamer her silent and invisible support to be patient during their little hunt. The Tamers ended up having to look for Jeremy near the outskirts of downtown Shinjuku only to be disappointed by what he told them since they ended up searching for someone else.

"Yeah, he wore a lot of thing with the number 7 on it," Jeremy said remembering the most distinguishing detail about the kid he traded cards with. "I met him on the other side of town, that way." He finished pointing the Tamers in the direction that they should go in.

The four Tamers and their Digimon took the train to get to the other side of the city.

"And the young detectives set off on their perilous journey, in hopes of finding the answer to the great Blue Card mystery." Takato said cheerfully.

"You're very happy about this." Naruto pointed out to the brunette with a foxy grin on his face.

"Of course," Takato agreed wholeheartedly. "This is exciting isn't it?" He asked. "I mean we fight Digimon all the time so that's not as cool as it was before, but now we're like real detectives or something." The Virus Tamer stated.

"This isn't a game." Henry griped with a frown on his face.

Rika rolled her eyes at the blue haired Tamers attitude. "Relax Einstein," The female Tamer said. "It's not like this is all that serious either." Rika pointed out with Naruto nodding his head in agreement, while the shinobi had agreed to search for the origin of the Blue Card he still thought that Henry was being far too serious about it.

Half an hour later, after getting another clue to where the boy with the seven clothing could be after not finding him where Jeremy said he'd be and instead running into some of his friends, the Tamers found themselves once more on the train heading to another part of the city. By this point it was already late in the afternoon as the sun had begun to set and the Tamers found themselves riding in an almost empty train compartment, this of course meant that there were plenty of open seats Rika and Naruto sitting on one side and Takato and Henry on the other.

'This is great!' Takato thought to himself completely engrossed with his own thoughts.

Rika had her head leaning on Naruto's shoulder just a bit with a small smile on her face content at the moment despite thinking that the rest of their little adventure was completely stupid. Naruto sat next to Rika half asleep but still enjoying having his girlfriend next to him. Henry did his best to ignore the couple across from him as he focused on the Blue Card and hoping that they'd soon have it figured out.

"Actually I found that card in Akihabara." The teen that originally possessed the card said, he had a white t-shirt with a red seven on it, blue shorts, and an orange ball cap with a white seven printed on it. Actually the Tamers could see a lot of things of the teen's possessions with the number seven printed on it.

Henry was a little tense to hear that once more that he and the others would have to again have to go somewhere else to find where the Blue Card came from, "Where in Akihabara?!" Henry pressured.

"By the electronics," The teen answered, "But, um, why?" He asked curious to find out why they wanted to find out where that card came from.

"Thanks a lot." Henry replied without answering the question.

"Wait!" The teen called out after the Tamers. "What's so important about that card? I wasn't even sure if it was real one." He told them, trying to get more information out of the four teens.

Looking back Henry nodded his head in agreement. "I was thinking the same thing." The blue haired Tamer admitted. "Until I had it checked out, it's actually very rare." He revealed.

"Man I knew it!" The teen muttered, cursing him-self now for giving the card away when he found it.

Rika eyed the teen carefully before voicing something that had started nagging on her. "You're hiding something, spill it!" The redhead demanded attracting the attention of everyone to her before they shifted their gazes to the cap wearing teen that suddenly looked anxious.

The Number 7 teen eyes shifted suspiciously for a moment before he began speaking nervously. "Uh well...I didn't think it was important," He lied partially. "But the way I found the card was weird. This man bumped into me and then all of a sudden it was there." He was actually planning to search for the guy himself in the hopes of getting more rare cards.

"What did he look like?" Takato questioned the teen. "Was he skinny, fat, short, tall or something in between?" He asked being vaguely descriptive.

"I remember one thing about him," The teen admitted. "He was wearing a yellow jacket." He told them.

"Well that narrows things down." Naruto muttered sarcastically yet loud enough for everyone to hear.

On the ride back the Tamers were discussing what their plans would be for the next day. Again they were alone allowing them to talk freely and not worry about being overheard by others.

"So tomorrow we're going to Akihabara?" Takato asked wanting to be sure about their plans.

"Yeah," Henry confirmed with a nod of his head. "Now that we know where the Blue Card came from and maybe who made it we can get some answers." The half-Chinese Tamer stated, his excitement barely being hidden and contained from the others.

"I'll actually be busy tomorrow." Naruto informed the others drawing their attention to him.

Rika looked at Naruto curiously. "Doing what?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow.

Naruto gave Rika a grin before answering, "A meeting." He said simply without clarifying in the slightest.

"With," Henry continued questioning Naruto a little annoyed that Naruto was bailing on them before they solved the mystery behind the Blue Card and its origins.

"Secret," Naruto said rather cheekily even as Rika narrowed her eyes at him.

Hypnos

Within the Hypnos building Riley and Tally were frantically trying to keep tabs on two Digimon that their equipment had picked up trying to cross over into the real world. Unfortunately, as they have been experiencing a lot lately, even their best efforts to stop the Digimon from Bioemerging seemed to be for not. Yamaki of course knew this, though he didn't really want to acknowledge it, as he kept a close watch over everything.

"Yuggoth has been activated," Tally reported to Yamaki and Riley specifically. "Tracking..."

Yuggoth was shown closing in on the two Digimon on the screen but before it even came close it was destroyed by the two Bioemerging Digimon.

"It's useless." Yamaki muttered snapping his liter shut.

"It's coming from the Juggernaut core again." Riley informed her boss. At this point it was all but useless to continue trying to stop the Digimon from Bioemerging so she figured it was best that they figured out how they crossed over, not that it was any secret exactly how they were doing it.

"Obviously," Yamaki snapped angrily. "Except this time there are two of them." He continued. "This is getting ridiculous I have to put an end to this once and for all." Yamaki decided completely forgetting or ignoring the fact that the last time he tried to put a stop to Digimon appearing in the real world it resulted in the Devas being able to appear.

Akihabara

The Tamers arrived in Akihabara and like Naruto told them the other day the shinobi Tamer was not with them, Guilmon was not with them either because of his size. That left the Tamers with Terriermon, who was riding on Henry's shoulder, and Renamon who was watching over Rika like usual from a distance. Currently Takato and Rika were looking at their third companion with slightly worried expressions on their faces. Earlier, before Rika had met up with the male Tamers and headed to Akihabara, the Tamers had come across Impmon as they were leaving the park from Guilmon's shed. The little fire starter tried to pick a fight with Terriermon, something which the rabbit Digimon was more than eager to take part in, unfortunately at that point Henry's dad, Janyu Wong, came across them.

Mr. Wong was in a state of shocked awe at the sight of the two Digimon. While Henry, Takato, and Terriermon were too stunned to act at that precise moment Impmon had no such problem as he summoned a tiny flame and threw it at Mr. Wong who barely managed to avoid getting struck by the flame by using his briefcase to block it, but was signed by the second flame that Impmon made. Terriermon acted immediately after that using his Terrier Tornado to launch the small imp Digimon away.

Then in a moment of panic as his father approached Henry grabbed Terriermon and ran, ignoring his father's cries for him, Takato following right after. Since then the half-Chinese Tamer had been absolutely quite barely paying attention to anything so consumed in his thoughts.

Terriermon gazed at his Tamer worriedly feeling partially at fault for letting Impmon antagonize him like he did, and as a result being discovered by Janyu Wong. "Momentai Henry," The Vaccine type Digimon advised softly, "Momentai."

A few paces behind Henry Takato glanced sadly over at the redhead walking beside him. "Rika what are we supposed to say at a time like this to help him?"

Rika briefly looked over at Takato out of the corner of her eye before switching to Henry. "Maybe you should try something different Takato," The female Tamer said evenly. "It's nice and all that you want to help Einstein there, but sometimes you just have to keep your nose out of where it doesn't belong."

The frown that Takato wore deepened at the amtheyst eyed girl's statement before turning his attention back to one of his best friends. "But... I have to do something." The brunette said mostly to himself.

The Tamers and their Digimon weren't the only ones visiting Akihabara as the free spirit known as Calumon had decided to join the Tamers on their trip without them knowing in order to find something entertaining to do for the little creampuff, since Guilmon was confined to his shed on Takato's orders and Patamon and Coronamon weren't at their home leaving Calumon without anyone to play with.

"Wow, this place looks like a fun place to play." Calumon said to himself from high up on a billboard, looking down at everyone taking it all in and feeling just a little overwhelmed by it all. "It's a little loud though." He added before taking off in to explore some more.

Akihabara is considered by a majority as the anime capital of the world, having everything and anything an otaku could possibly want. It also wasn't uncommon to find people cosplaying as their favorite character and was actually the preferred style of choice for those who visited Akihabara. But despite all the attractions that Akihabara offered the Tamers had spent their time searching for the man that had dropped the Blue Card.

After a few hours of searching the Tamers were taking a small break in front of a simple store having gotten some drinks to help quench their thirst.

"I wonder if our man's gonna show up." Takato remarked looking around hoping to spot a yellow jacket amongst the crowd.

Rika rolled her eyes at Takato's comment. "Maybe he'll introduce himself," Rika said sarcastically checking her phone to see if Naruto had messaged her, possibly even her grandmother, only to find no new messages. "Keep dreaming Sherlock."

Rika had no sooner finished reprimanding Takato before someone covered her eyes with their hands.

"Gue-ack!" The person didn't get a chance to finish speaking, or begin really, before Rika's elbow made contact with their gut forcing them back.

Rika didn't waste a second as she immediately spun around and took a defensive stance, Takato and Henry right beside her, in case the creep that tried to grab her attempted to retaliate. But instead of some greasy haired creep like she was half expecting Rika spotted her boyfriend massaging his stomach where she had hit him.

"Whiskers?" Rika said in equal parts disbelief and shock, "What where you trying to do?!" The redhead demanded.

Naruto soothed his stomach, more affected by the suddenness of the hit rather than it really hurting, "Just trying to surprise you." Naruto remarked before a large grin split his face. "Yo," The shinobi greeted his friends giving them a mock salute with a bag lying on the ground next to him more than likely having dropped it when he was elbowed in the stomach.

Rika once more rolled her eyes but this time she had a small smile on her face. Takato, Henry, and Terriermon all greeted Naruto with smiles on their faces grateful that the shinobi was able to join them on their search. It was only after the Tamers had finished greeting Naruto though that they noticed the clothes that he was wearing. The cloak he had on was similar in look and design to the one that he wore when he faced off against Icedevimon with the exception that it had short sleeves and lacked a hoodie. Under it he had on an orange and black jacket, orange pants, and black shinobi sandals with his forehead protector in its proper place. While the others had never seen Naruto in those clothes the blue eyed Tamer knew it as his normal shinobi outfit.

"So Naruto how was that meeting you had to go to?" Henry asked curiously, though it wasn't really what he wanted to ask.

"And what's with those clothes?" Takato asked bluntly. "Aren't you worried that people will find out your secret?" The Virus Tamer continued in a loud whisper.

Naruto looked over his shoulder and saw at least a dozen other people cosplaying in different anime costumes before turning his attention back to Takato. "I think I'll be fine." He said rather dryly before continuing. "And it wasn't just a meeting but also a book signing."

"Book signing?" Rika repeated. "So while we were wasting our time looking for this guy you went to a book signing?" The redheaded questioned sounding more than a bit annoyed.

Naruto grinned rather sheepishly at his girlfriend. "Well it couldn't happen without me there." He said as if it should be obvious, drawing confused looks from the others.

"What are you talking about Whiskers?" Rika was the one to finally ask.

Reaching for the bag Naruto searched through it for a second before he pulled something out of it. The item in question turned out to be a book, a book that everyone present was at the very least somewhat familiar with considering the popularity it and its precursor had managed to garner in the last few months. The book was the recently released Nagato: The Fallen God, it along with its predecessor, The Gallant Jiraiya, was being called the Ninja Chronicles by the books fans.

Henry stared at Naruto incredulously connecting the dots. "Hold on a sec so your telling me that you're the writer, you're Arashi Kazama?" The blue haired Tamer said disbelievingly.

"Yeah," Naruto replied simply putting the book away. "I needed some way to make money." The shinobi claimed, keeping to himself' that the Icha Icha series that had also been published was also supplementing his income. "Have any of you read it?" The blonde Tamer asked curiously.

Takato and Henry, even Terriermon, shook their heads, "Didn't really seem all that interesting to me." Henry added in with a shrug of his shoulders.

Naruto blinked a couple of times in surprise before turning his attention to Rika. "Ri-Chan," The shinobi asked hopefully.

Rika crossed her arms in front of her chest and sent her boyfriend a mild glare. "You spend hours at my home each day; you know I never read your book." The girl pointed out.

Naruto fell over in over exaggerated depression with the proverbial rain cloud hanging over him. "Not one of you has read my book." The shinobi muttered sadly to him-self.

Takato and Henry looked at Naruto awkwardly, while Terriermon did his best to stifle his laughter, and Rika rolled her eyes before letting out a sigh. "If it makes you feel better." The redhead began. "I know that grandma actually has read your first book and is looking forward to reading this one." Rika provided hoping that, that piece of information would raise the blonde's spirits, even if just a little.

"Really?" Naruto asked looking up at Rika hopefully his mood doing a complete 180.

Letting out another sigh Rika nodded her head. "Yes," She stated. "Now stop acting like an idiot and get up." Rika ordered looking around and noting that a few people were now looking at Naruto strangely and whispering amongst themselves. "People are staring." The female Tamer finished under her breath.

"Right," Naruto responded standing up immediately with a bright grin on his face, "So any luck finding the guy in the yellow jacket?" The shinobi asked of the others.

"No," Henry answered with a frown appearing on his face. "We've been at this for the last few hours and haven't found any sign of the guy."

"Takato here thinks that the guy will just show up an introduce himself." Rika added gesturing with her head towards Takato.

"It could happen." Takato mumbled. Naruto smiled patronizingly at the brunette about to pat his shoulder when suddenly all the electronics in the area started to malfunction, and in place like Akihabara something like that was very noticeable. "That can't be good for business." Takato observed obviously.

Terriermon was the first one to notice the ripple like vortex that had appeared high above in the middle of the sky. From the ripple mist burst out going out in different directions before two shadowed figures emerged with the fog as well. The Digimon both had the appearance of a centaur, though instead of half-man and half-horse they're traits were completely animal like.

The first Digimon landed in the middle of the street its appearance was that of a sheep with white fur and curving purple horns on its head, a third smaller horn on its forehead. Its face, hands, and the bottom of its legs were all black. The Digimon wore purple and gold accented armor on the upper portion of its body and its arms. Red cloth was wrapped arm both its hands, around its neck, and acted a bit like a belt with three golden metal discs attached to it. The sheep Digimon carried a crossbow on its back.

The second Digimon landed on a bridge and its appearance was more along the lines of a bull with black fur and yellow-orange markings under its eyes and going down the side of its head, on top of its head were three yellow horns. It wore a dull orange and yellow accented armor on its body and its arms and legs. It had two swords strapped to each side of its waist. It had yellow markings on its lower body and rings on its arms.

The bull Digimon jumped down from the bridge it was on and started to stampede towards the sheep Digimon, and action that was mirrored by the other Digimon, crushing a multitude of cars on its way.

"Time to wreak a little holy havoc," The sheep Digimon uttered with a smirk on its face as it passed by the other Digimon.

"Beautiful day for a stampede," The bull Digimon mused back.

"Terriermon," Henry started his partner Digimon understanding immediately and moving off his shoulder to stand at the ready. Looking at the two Digimon Henry realized how unlikely it was that Terriermon would be able to take both of them on himself. "I don't think Terriermon can handle them alone!" The half-Chinese Tamer voiced out loud.

"It's a good thing that he's not alone then." Naruto said as Coronamon jumped down from a rooftop and Patamon flew down.

Beside Rika, Renamon appeared out of thin air. "Ready, Renamon?" Rika questioned the yellow furred vixen Digimon.

"Ready," Renamon answered firmly her gaze locked on the two Digimon keeping a careful watch of them.

Takato took a step back from the others letting them take handle of the situation while silently lamenting to himself' that Guilmon wasn't there to help the others fight.

Henry and Naruto were the first ones to bring up information of the two Digimon on their D-arcs.

"Pajiramon," Henry began to read as an image of the sheep Digimon appeared above his green D-arc. "Deva beast Digimon, Virus type," The half-Japanese Tamer said with a grimace once the Digimon was registered as one of the Devas, "Ultimate level. Its attacks are Bǎo Gōng, the weapon that it is carrying on its back. It next attack is Vahnijvala where it traps opponents in a nightmare using some special arrows. Its final attack is Thunder Stomp were it creates small earthquakes when it stomps on the ground hard enough."

Naruto began to read the data on the other Digimon. "The Digimon on steroids is Vajramon, Deva, Ultimate level, well that's obvious." Naruto muttered a bit sarcastically before he continued. "His attacks are Deva Blade, unleashing an energy beam from his swords and Terra Blade striking the ground with its twin Deva Blades to create fissures that go as far as 50 meters hurling out rocks to damage anyone nearby." Naruto finished.

Vajramon continued running until he reached the end of the street, close to where Pajiramon had landed. "It begins here." The bull Deva declared arms spread wide.

Pajiramon mirrored Vajramon's actions, people scrambling fearfully to get out of the sheep Deva's path, until finally coming to a stop right under the bridge that Vajramon had been on before, "And ends here." Pajiramon said looking back at Vajramon.

From the vortex more mist exploded out creating a Digital Field that fell from above and expanded to cover the area where Vajramon and Pajiramon were standing. With the Digital Field formed the two Deva Digimon turned their attention to nearby electronic stores before breaking through the front of the stores shattering windows and destroying walls sending the patrons that had been within the store running wildly to the back in order to escape. The Digimon then proceeded to eat anything that had even the slightest thing to do with digital equipment, from computers to flash drives to CDs and to one very obsolete floppy disk that had fallen under a counter some number of years ago and forgotten.

"Why are they eating all the digital equipment in the store?!" Takato wondered out loud.

The Tamers studied the Devas carefully before they noticed how the two Digimon's forms flicker in and out existence as their bodies would pixilate for a second look like they were about to break apart before coming back together.

"I bet that they're unstable since they just Bioemerged." Henry realized after a moment of thought.

"But why?" The brunette Tamer wondered.

"It's probably because they showed up at the same time." Naruto offered. "This is the first time that two Devas' showed up at the same time, the barrier between the Digital World and the Real World probably isn't that weak yet so they ended up unstable." Naruto rationalized.

"Then they must be eating the equipment so they can stabilize their bodies." Takato grasped with his eyes widening in understanding.

"Then we better clear the table before they finish their meal." Rika declared. If they could stop the Digimon from eating enough of the equipment then they'd be significantly weaker and much easier to defeat since they wouldn't be fighting at full power.

While Vajramon continued to stuff his face Pajiramon broke away from the store it had broken into and jumped up onto a walkway overpass before turning to face the street. Pajiramon took a deep breath gathering energy into its body specifically its lungs before releasing it in a loud echoing "Baaa".

The Tamers and their Digimon covered their ears at the ear splitting sound, the noise hurting Naruto and Terriermon especially because of their better hearing. Around them all the other people were quickly losing consciousness as the power went out throughout the area.

"Wow and I thought my singing was bad." Takato joked lightly.

"Still better then Kenta." Naruto commented with a smirk on his face.

The others had to stifle a chuckle before they got serious once more. "So which one do you want?" Henry asked the red and blonde haired Tamers.

Rika had her attention focused on the bull Deva that was still stuffing its face. "I'll take the glutton with the horns." Rika answered, Renamon already moving to engage Vajramon.

"Patamon and Coronamon will back both of you up." Naruto decided with both orange furred Digimon nodding their heads in understanding and agreement.

"Alright then I'll focus on the walking lamb-cabob." Henry stated. "Let's go!"

At the same time Henry and Rika slid a modify card through their D-arcs.

"Digi-Modify!" The two Tamers declared at once.

"Thor's Hammer Activate!" Henry said.

"Crystal Fire Activate!" Rika followed after.

Running toward Pajiramon a giant hammer, that the Tamers recognized look exactly like the one Zudomon carried, appeared in Terriermon's arms. Jumping into the air once she judged she was close enough crystal blue flames ignited on Renamon's hands and feet that looked similar to when she used her Power Paw attack.

Terriermon jumped up into the air having a firm hold of the harmer that he was carrying, "Terrier Tornado!" The rabbit Digimon cried his form becoming nothing but a mere blur within the tornado he created, the hammer still clearly distinguishable though because of its darker coloring. Pajiramon turned its head when it sensed Terriermon approach only to instantly have the hammer hit its head the force behind the attack amplified by the power and speed created by Terrier Tornado. The concussive force caused Pajiramon to stagger back as the tips of its horns actually snapped off at the moment of impact.

"Taste this bull-head!" Renamon shouted mid-air delivering a flaming kick to Vajramon's head, the flame extinguishing once it made contact. With little difficulty Renamon spun herself around landing a heel kick to the top of the bull Deva's snout. Renamon used the outstanding leg strength of that same leg to push off of Vajramon and jump higher into the air, "Power Paw!" The flames that were already present on Renamon's hands grew in brightness and intensity, and length as the flames now covering the entirety of her arms. With practiced grace Renamon crossed her arms in front of herself before spreading them out wide at a slower pace than normal as diamond shards appeared around her. What set these diamond shards different from the kitsune Digimon's usual ones was that each one was engulfed in blue flames. "Diamond Storm!" Renamon cried, the diamond fragments falling down at Vajramon like shooting stars.

Vajramon was quick to pull out one of his blades before he began to spin it expertly in front of him. While he wasn't about to admit it Vajramon had at least felt Renamon's kicks, they didn't hurt all that much but he had felt them. As such the bull-centaur Digimon wasn't about to let himself to be hit by an attack that had been empowered by two others.

While Terriermon and Renamon engaged the two Deva Digimon Naruto set things up for Coronamon and Patamon to do their part. With his D-arc held in one hand Naruto pulled out three cards from his card holster. Throwing the cards up into the air in front of him Naruto let them spin for a bit before he grabbed the cards and started to swipe them through the D-arc one at a time. "Digi-Modify," Naruto called slashing the first card, "Hyper Speed, Power, Centarumon's Solar Ray Activate!" He finished swiping the last through his D-arc, mentally directing the cards abilities to Patamon, both Digimon, and Coronamon respectively.

Coronamon moved to be behind Vajramon before jumping into the air holding his arms out in front of him. "Solar Ray," Coronamon summoned a ball of light in the palm of his hands. With furrowed brows Coronamon concentrated on surrounding the ball of light with his flames without destabilizing it and causing it to explode in his face. Steadily fire encased the ball of light making it look like a miniature sun before launching it at Vajramon.

The miniature sun slammed into the back of Vajramon's head catching the bull Deva by surprise, scorching his fur, and causing him to lose concentration for a moment on spinning his sword allowing the last of Renamon's Diamond Storm through. Once the attack stopped Vajramon turned his attention to the two Digimon, Renamon landing beside Coronamon in a crouch and gracefully picked herself up, but his eyes were mostly trained on Renamon's form.

Patamon flew in low at Pajiramon before he began to spin, "Slamming Attack!" Patamon shouted being surrounded by wind, the Hyper Speed modify card making him spin faster than normal and the Power modify making the attack stronger still. With Pajiramon still reeling because of Terriermon's attack Patamon aimed for the sheep Deva's front two legs, slamming into one and then the other causing Pajiramon to fall to its knees.

"Bunny Blast!" Terriermon followed up unleashing a large blast of concentrated green energy at Pajiramon that hit the Deva right at the center of its chest.

Pajiramon grunted in pain before glaring at the two Rookie level Digimon. "You annoying little insects," The Deva snarled before she pushed herself off of the ground rearing her front legs up into the air before smashing them back on the ground, "Thunder Stomp!" Pajiramon shouted creating a small earthquake around it as a small stream of energy ripped through the ground heading straight for the two Tamer' Digimon.

Patamon was being able to fly was relatively safe from the attack only having to fly a little higher into the air in order to avoid it. Terriermon on the other hand was forced to jump into the air, spreading his ears as wide as he could so that he could glide through the air and away from the attack.

With a grunt of discontent Pajiramon drew her crossbow off her back and aimed it right at Terriermon and fired. Terriermon instantly dropped out of the air the arrow missing his head by inches, and flying in between his ears. Expertly Pajiramon shifted her sights to Patamon and fired again only this time instead of dodging Patamon used his Slamming Attack to deflect the arrow, "Vahnijvala!" Arrows once more appeared on the crossbow only that the tips on these were glowing' a bright yellow. A number of arrows were unleashed on the two Rookie level Digimon forcing them to dodge as best they could or risk getting trapped in a nightmare world.

A final arrow came dangerously close to striking Terriermon only for Patamon to fly in at the last second and deflect it with his Slamming Attack. Unlike with Pajiramon's other arrows the force behind them made Patamon fly head over heels.

"Bunny Blast!" Terriermon retaliated firing a series of smaller blasts at the sheep Deva to give Patamon a chance to recover.

Vajramon had his gaze trained on Renamon's form to the point that he completely ignored Coronamon's presence, "Such beauty, grace, and elegance." Vajramon praised admirably. "Why degrade yourself by serving these pitiful humans when you could be ruling over them."

Renamon didn't answer the bull Deva but a tick mark did appear on Coronamon's head as his fists ignited on fire. "You should learn to shut that big mouth of yours!" Coronamon told him before he jumped at the bull Digimon a fist cocked back.

With a smirk spreading across his face Vajramon blocked Coronamon's punch with his bare hand before brandishing one of his swords with the other before slashing it at Coronamon with the full intention of cutting the small lion Digimon in half.

Coronamon saw the incoming blade and acted quickly. "Petit Prominence," Coronamon called summoning flames that covered his entire body acting as a barrier that protected the orange furred Digimon, at the very least from being bisected by Vajramon's sword. Even though the sword didn't cut him in half the strength behind the swing ended up launching Coronamon across the street and into another store.

"Good riddance," Vajramon grunted out.

Renamon's fur bristled and her pupils narrowed into slits as she watched Coronamon be tossed into a store, "Diamond Storm!" The kitsune Digimon shouted unleashing the attack at Vajramon.

Vajramon instantly spun around spinning his sword once more in front of him to block the attack. "Is that all you can do?" Vajramon questioned almost tauntingly. "You could be so much more!"

In response Renamon unleashed another barrage of diamond shards at Vajramon, which sadly were all blocked like before. Despite how futile it seemed Renamon used Diamond Storm once more but this time after shooting her attack she brought her arms straight out in front of her. After a couple of seconds of concentrating a giant diamond shard formed before Renamon fired it at Vajramon.

Vajramon stopped spinning his sword, allowing a few of the diamond shards to hit him harmlessly, to swing it in a wide arc. "Deva Blade!" The bull Deva shouted unleashing an arc of concentrated energy from his sword that cut the giant shad in half the two pieces falling on either side of him before bursting into data.

Vajramon's attack didn't stop and headed straight for Renamon forcing the fox like Digimon to dive out of the way and come out in a roll.

DIGIVOLUTION

"Patamon digivolve to… Angemon!"

"Coronamon digivolve to… Firamon!"

"Hand of Faith!" Angemon's attack brushed by the side of Pajiramon's head, the sheep Deva's eyes widening in partial shock.

"Fire Bomb!" Three fireballs fell down around Vajramon before they exploded in a fiery inferno that obscured the sword wielding Deva for a moment.

Above their respective opponents Angemon and Firamon appeared at the ready.

Pajiramon focused her attention on the angel Digimon flying above her as she aimed her crossbow at him. Angemon spun his staff in front of him expertly blocking the arrows that were fired at him. "Omni Typhoon!" Angemon intoned creating a typhoon that was headed straight for Pajiramon, whatever arrows that had been headed for Angemon getting trapped within the vortex. Pajiramon jumped right, out of the way of the typhoon, though the winds it generated cut into her left side slightly.

With only its right arm Pajiramon aimed its bow at Angemon before firing. Angemon stopped his attack in order to dodge around the first barrage of arrows that were fired at him and then used his staff to block a few more, one or two getting passed his guard and actually managing to cut him.

"Bunny Blast!" Terriermon's attack hit Pajiramon's chest distracting the sheep Deva momentarily.

With a deepening scowl Pajiramon ran at Terriermon all the while firing an onslaught of arrows at Angemon to keep him busy. Terriermon tried to keep the Deva back with his Bunny Blast attack but Pajiramon jumped out of the way of the incoming attacks as she steadily approached. Angemon tried to help the Rookie level Digimon but the speed at which Pajiramon was firing at him made it impossible.

Once Terriermon realized just how close Pajiramon was he tried to get away. Unfortunately by that point Pajiramon was already to close as the Deva Digimon simply reached out and grabbed Terriermon and slammed the rabbit Digimon into the ground, cracking the road beneath Terriermon. Angemon was about to move in to help Terriermon only to freeze midair when Pajiramon moved her crossbow so that it was inches away from Terriermon's head.

"Pathetic little Digimon," Pajiramon jeered. "What is your name, traitor? Tell me before I end your meager existence."

"None of your business!" Terriermon shouted defiantly unconcerned with the crossbow pointed at his head.

From within the raging inferno that resulted from Firamon's attack Vajramon swung out both his swords dispersing the flames around him. The bull Deva's armor and fur had some clear signs of being burnt due to the fire but overall Vajramon was left relatively unharmed. The flames had barely disappeared before Vajramon swung his swords in front of him. "Deva Blade!" From Vajramon's twin blades an 'X' shaped blast energy was released and headed straight for Firamon.

The lion Digimon dove out of the way, letting the attack sail above him and hit a building. Landing on the ground in a crouch Firamon summoned a ball of fire, "Fire Bomb!" The lion roared unleashing the ball of fire at the Deva. Vajramon retaliated with a Deva Blade letting the two attacks meet resulting in an explosion.

Renamon jumped up above the smokescreen that the explosion had created her arms crossed over her chest. "Diamond Storm!" Renamon once more fired her attack putting more energy into it increasing the power, speed, and number of diamond shards of the attack. Vajramon blocked once more using a single one of his swords.

With his attention once more focused on the vulpine Digimon Vajramon couldn't take his eyes off of Renamon. "Hm, and you?" Vajramon asked once he heard Pajiramon ask the other Digimon for his name.

"You won't remember it anyway," Renamon retorted. "Once I load your data." She finished.

"Ooh," Vajramon uttered amused.

Henry watched, a feeling of helplessness slowly creeping inside of him, as Terriermon futilely tried to get Pajiramon off without being shot with the Deva's crossbow. "Let him go right now!" Henry demanded of the Deva throwing quick glances at Naruto hoping that the shinobi would do something to help.

"I'm afraid I can't do that." Pajiramon responded coolly. "Vajramon enough playing around it is time we end this." She told her partner.

"Speak for yourself I'm having fun." Vajramon responded highly amused.

With a grunt of displeasure Pajiramon removed her foot from atop of Terriermon before grabbing the rabbit Digimon by his ears and tossing up into the air and aimed the crossbow at him. "You should feel honored to have your data absorbed by me, little slave." Pajiramon sneered.

Calumon had spotted the fighting that was happening between the Tamers and the Deva and watched from an alleyway. When Calumon saw Terriermon about to be shot by Pajiramon the little creampuff subconsciously called forth his power, the red triangle on his forehead glowing brightly. yellow bolt arrow shoots up.

DIGIVOLUTION

"Terriermon digivolve to... Gargomon!"

Revitalized by the sudden digivolution Gargomon righted himself in midair, evading the arrow, before raising his arm. "Still hungry, I brought dessert!" Gargomon quipped, what he thought was cleverly, as he opened fire on the sheep Deva who tried to block the shots.

Angemon seeing an opening gathered energy into his hand to attack, "Hand of Faith!" A blast of holy energy was released from Angemon's fist heading straight for Pajiramon hitting her straight center and sent her stumbling back.

Vajramon noticed the exchange out of the corner of his eyes but made no attempt to help or express any concern for his partner what so ever. Instead he refocused his attention on Renamon. "Aren't you going to digivolve? I'd hate to just take your data without seeing that." Vajramon questioned as he practically leered at Renamon.

"Pig," Renamon said under her breath as she glared at the bull Deva, while Firamon growled quite audibly.

"Hm, what did you say?!" Vajramon muttered shifting his sword menacingly.

Firamon pounced on the Deva his front paws igniting on fire, "Fire Claw!" Firamon exclaimed clashing his claws with one of Vajramon's swords. Vajramon struggled on the tinniest bit in holding Firamon back with his one sword as he raised the other in preparation to bring it down on the lion Digimon.

Renamon dashed to the side before jumping into the air. "Diamond Storm," Renamon's attack came from Vajramon's right with careful aim to make sure that it didn't accidently hit Firamon as well. Vajramon seeing the attack coming spun his remaining sword to block the attack.

With Vajramon focused on blocking Renamon's attack Firamon pulled back slightly before summoning a ball of fire in front of him, "Fire Bomb!" The attack was launched at Vajramon far too close for the bull Deva to evade or block effectively resulting in his upper torso being consumed in an explosion of fire.

"Diamond Storm!" Renamon seeing that Firamon's attack fired hers once more, this time the digital vixen's attack actually hitting Vajramon.

Gargomon had not stopped firing on Pajiramon since he digivolved and landed back on the ground. But besides the initial barrage of Gargomon's attack the sheep Deva had practically danced around the rabbit Digimon's salvo. At the same time Pajiramon had attacked and kept Angemon at bay with a hail of arrows forcing the angel Digimon to block or dodge the onslaught. Whenever Angemon managed to get off an attack Pajiramon dodged it.

"This is getting tiresome." Pajiramon murmured after dodging another round of Gargomon's Gargo Laser. The Deva switched his targets quickly from Angemon to Gargomon and fired a few of her arrows. Gargomon evaded the arrows by dashing to the side not noticing how Pajiramon lifted her front legs and brought them back down. "Enough, Thunder Stomp!" Pajiramon bellowed.

After dodging Pajiramon's arrows Gargomon didn't have a chance evade Pajiramon's follow up attack. The earthquake generated by Pajiramon's Thunder Stomp caused the rabbit Digimon to stumble a bit before he eventually fell over landing on his back. Taking advantage of Gargomon's downed form Pajiramon fired arrows into the Champion level Digimon's pants legs and more along his body making Gargomon completely immobile.

"Relax, stay awhile." Pajiramon taunted before it dodged a Hand of Faith from Angemon, "Now just to deal with you."

Angemon brought his staff close in defensively before diving at Pajiramon. Pajiramon fired at Angemon only for the angel Digimon to weave between the arrows expertly. With a scowl on her face Pajiramon pushed off the ground and jumped high into the air. The sheep Deva actually managed to jump higher than where Angemon flew, considering the Angel Digimon was diving down at his opponent it wasn't that hard of an achievement, before coming down on top of Angemon. "Thunder Stomp!" Pajiramon cried managing to bring her huffs down on Angemon's back and smashed the Champion level Digimon into the ground below them, a small crater forming under Angemon's form. Getting off the angel Digimon Pajiramon pulled the crossbow off her back and aimed it at Angemon, the arrowheads glowing brightly. "Vahnijvala," Pajiramon said solemnly before firing the arrow at Angemon. The arrow flew through the air at almost tauntingly slow pace for a second before lodging into Angemon's chest. The angel Digimon's body tensed as he tried to fight off the effects of Pajiramon's arrow, only fall under its influences seconds later as he fell into unconsciousness seconds later and then revert back into Patamon. "Now that he's been taken care of," Pajiramon said before turning her attention to Gargomon. "It's time to deal with you." The Deva stated.

Vajramon rushed out of the flames as Firamon's eyes widened before he tried to fly back away from the charging bull. Vajramon was faster though as he slammed into the lion Digimon, sending him tumbling through the air, before he instantly spun around. "Deva Blade!" Vajramon bellowed slashing his swords slicing into Firamon, the lion roaring in pain as he felt the swords dig into his flesh, before the energy blasts from the swords sent the winged lion crashing into a car. Vajramon didn't stop there as he then stabbed both of his swords into the ground in front of him, "Terra Blade!" Energy coursed from the swords and into the ground rupturing the earth around it taking the rocks with it as it headed straight for Firamon.

The moment that the Terra Blade attack reached Firamon an explosion obscured the Digimon completely as the car that he had crashed into was destroyed.

"Firamon!" Renamon cried out in actual concern. She was about to jump into the smoke and fire after the lion Digimon when something shot out of the smoke. Focusing on the object Renamon realized that it was a passed out Coronamon and instantly jumped to grab him before Coronamon hit the ground.

"This is bad guys." Takato said worriedly. "Now both Patamon and Coronamon have been taken out." He pointed out obviously. "Maybe you should step in now Naruto, it's just Gargomon and Renamon and they're both in serious trouble fighting an Ultimate each." The Virus Tamer tried to persuade.

"No," Naruto refuted, before explaining himself. "Coronamon and Patamon aren't invincible so they were bound to lose eventually." The shinobi reasoned, though he was seconds away from rushing Vajramon and deleting him completely to wipe the smug smirk off his face. "I still think the others have this handled. Besides Henry has a Blue Card." He pointed out glancing at the half-Japanese Tamer he was completely focused on his pinned Digimon.

"I can't move anything!" Gargomon said panicked as he tried to break free of his restraints, struggling all the more when he saw Pajiramon closing in with her crossbow at the ready. "Henry, do something." The rabbit Digimon pleaded of his Tamer.

"Now, now no need to struggle." Pajiramon said patronizingly. "It will be over soon. This is for shooting at me you nasty little rabbit!"

Henry and Takato both began to almost frantically look through their cards searching for something that could save Gargomon from Pajiramon. Meanwhile Renamon was almost dancing around Vajramon's slashes while still carrying Coronamon in her arms. After a wide slash from the bull Deva Renamon managed to land on the flat side of the sword before making a quick dash forward and landing a kick on Vajramon's head before pulling back.

"Ooh feisty." Vajramon said with a large smirk on his face.

"You have no idea." Renamon murmured.

"Let's find out, shall we?" Vajramon goaded.

After a few more seconds of searching Henry finally found a card that he thought would help, "Got one!" The blue haired Tamer declared, as he grabbed his D-arc. "Digi-Modify… Rock Armor Activate!"

Gargomon though he was still pinned to the ground suddenly stiffened as his body was turned to stone just as the arrow was fired, the arrow eventually bouncing off of Gargomon's stone forehead. For a moment Pajiramon was taken back by her opponent suddenly turning to stone before a frown replaced her look of surprise.

"Thunder Stomp!" Pajiramon shouted before stomping on Gargomon's body with a single leg at a time.

Henry eyes were wide and disbelieving unable to grasp how he had inadvertently placed his Digimon partner in such a dire situation, his brilliant mind coming to a momentarily screeching halt. "Gargomon…" The Tamer murmured barely above a whisper.

"None of my other cards even look useful." Takato said sorrowfully, wishing all the more that he had Guilmon with him so that he could help out more, visibly flinching every time that Pajiramon brought down one of her hooves on Gargomon. "How about the Blue Card, we haven't tried that!" Takato proposed hastily once cracks started to appear on Gargomon's stone body. The brunette could only see one possible outcome if Pajiramon managed to shatter it.

"The Blue Card?" Henry mumbled having a bit of trouble wrapping his mind around what Takato was suggesting.

"We've gotta try!" Takato urged.

"But I can't do that, we have no idea what'll happen." Henry said panicked and terrified. Before the blue haired Tamer could say or do anything else Naruto punched Henry in the side of his head, the punch didn't have that much power behind it but it was enough to cause Henry to stumble back a few steps and nearly drop his cards and D-arc, "Naruto?"

Naruto glared at the half-Chinese Tamer. "Snap out of it already!" Naruto ordered. "We know what will happen so why are you hesitating?! Gargomon needs help so help him!"

"Easy there Whiskers." Rika said to Naruto trying to calm the shinobi down a little. Though she could at the very least understand some of Naruto's frustration as Henry's nervous and frightened demeanor had quickly worn on her nerves.

"He's right though." Henry said after recomposing himself. "Thanks Naruto I needed that." The bluenette freely admitted, holding the Blue Card more firmly in his hand. "With everything that's happened with this card and my dad I've let it distract me and keep me from helping Gargomon."

Seeing Henry a lot more focused than he was a few seconds ago Naruto nodded his head in approval. "Good," The shinobi stated before turning his attention to the battle between Vajramon and Renamon. "You help Gargomon. I'll help Renamon deal with Vajramon." Naruto declared.

Renamon jumped above a slash from Vajramon and back peddled to put some distance between them, she and Coronamon, and Vajramon when she noticed something behind the Deva. "Oh dear," Renamon in a faux concern, "It seems things just got worse for you."

Vajramon looked confused for a moment as he stared at Renamon. "What do you mean?" He asked sounding genuinely curious. In response Renamon just pointed behind Vajramon causing the bull Deva to look over his shoulder at whatever she was pointing at. The walking talking tank only caught the briefest glimpse of sun-kissed blonde hair before a shout of "Rasengan!" followed by excruciating pain sent him hurling through the air.

Renamon had to duck down to avoid the large Digimon that flew over her.

With the armor on his back severely cracked, a few pieces even falling off, Vajramon shakily picked himself up off the ground a fierce smoldering glare directed at Naruto. "A human," Vajramon uttered sounding just the tiniest bit confused but mostly the Ultimate level Digimon was consumed by hatred. "A human was able to hurt me!" The incredulity and apparent disgust was clear in his voice. "You will pay for interfering you lowly human." Vajramon threatened.

Naruto smirked in response. "Bring it!" Naruto challenged.

"Right," Henry confirmed after Naruto disappeared in a burst of speed. "Digi-Modify… Matrix Digivolution!" His D-arc screen glowing a second before a beam of light shot out of it towards the sky. The Tamers stare blankly up at the sky their mouths slightly agape, Pajiramon even stopping for a moment to see what the source of light was, dumbfounded at the sudden turn of events.

"Well it seemed like a really great idea at the time." Takato offered unenthusiastically as he turned his attention from looking up at the sky to staring at Henry.

"Pathetic humans," Pajiramon muttered crossbow raised and three arrows set, aimed at specific crack located on Gargomon's forehead that would shatter his stone body completely.

From a nearby alleyway Calumon watched the proceedings with a fearful look on his face before the red triangle on his forehead started to shine brightly. With a look of concentration on his scrunched up face Calumon fired a beam of red light from the red triangle that shot up at the sky. The second beam of light was noticed by the Tamers and unfortunately by Vajramon as well.

'What is that?' Vajramon thought, just barely catching a small glimpse of the white and purple Digimon.

The beam that had shot towards the sky came back down, parting the clouds in the sky around it. The light fell straight over Gargomon destroying the arrows that Pajiramon had fired at the rabbit Digimon and returning him back to normal.

"What's happening!?" Pajiramon demanded, doing her best to shield her eyes from the intense light with her hand.

MATRIX DIGIVOLUTION

"Gargomon digivolve to... Rapidmon!"

Rapidmon was a large Digimon with a slim body that had well defined muscle mass. A majority of Rapidmon's upper body was in green armor with a red jewel at the center of his chest. Two large armored shoulder pads also formed that were mostly grey and trimmed green. From the shoulder pads black sleeves extended down to the missile launchers that covered most of his arms and all of his hands, a circle opening at the end. The missile launchers were circular and grey with green trimming, three red points came out of the end of the missile launchers similar to claws that surrounded the opening. On his feet he had green jester like boots tipped grey, just without the bells. A green orb like armor covered the lower part of his body with another red jewel, on the back a white cottontail. His ears grew longer and were encased in green armor that was tipped red. A long horn extended from Rapidmon's forehead. Lying across his back was a missile launcher with six barrels on both ends of the weapon.

Rapidmon floated above Pajiramon for a second before vanishing from Pajiramon's line of sight. Pajiramon eyes widened in surprise, "He disappeared." The sheep Deva gasped in surprise.

To everyone Rapidmon really did disappear for a second but Naruto was able to track the armored rabbit as he moved behind Pajiramon and realized that the recently digivolved Ultimate level Digimon was just moving faster than the others could follow.

"I'm right here!" Rapidmon replied appearing right behind Pajiramon, the Deva barely able to turn around to see Rapidmon before the rabbit Digimon kicked her in the face and sent her sailing. As Pajiramon was flying through the air Rapidmon disappeared once more only to reappear in front of Pajiramon and kicking the Deva up towards the sky.

Rika was the first to get over her shock and held up her D-arc to get Rapidmon's data. "That's Rapidmon, an Android Warrior Digimon, Ultimate level. His ears act like radar letting him see in the dark and find distant enemies, nice to know those things are good for something. His special attacks are Rapid Fire, Miracle Missile, and Tri Beam." Rika read. "Great so the trigger happy bunny has missiles now." The amtheyst eyed Tamer said sarcastically.

"Rapid Fire!" Rapidmon fired a couple of missiles from the launchers on his arms shooting Pajiramon out of the sky.

Vajramon was worse for wear after several minutes of fighting against Naruto, minutes that the shinobi Tamer spent mostly just toying with the bull Deva, his armor and swords severely cracked and his form shaky. As best he could he ran over to Pajiramon, who was struggling to pick herself up off the ground, "Pajiramon!"

"You foul insect," Pajiramon rasped out holding one of her shoulders. "Let's see what you can do when I have a human shield." She muttered as she limped toward the Tamers, not even paying attention to the fact that Naruto appeared between her and the others, smoke coming off of her body. "Which one of you would like to go first?"

"Not happening!" Rapidmon said, appearing in the air between all the Tamers and the Devas. Rapidmon spread his body wide to three distinctive points, his arms on either side of his body above his head and his feet together straight down, each point glowing brightly. A green beam of light extended from one of his arms connected to his feet before going up to the other arm and finally returning to the point of origin creating a perfect triangle that became a bright green. "Tri Beam!" Rapidmon fired a blast of energy shaped exactly like a triangle.

Before Pajiramon could react the blast had already hit her disintegrating her body completely and rendering her into nothing but bits of data. Vajramon was right behind his partner so he didn't receive even half as much damage as Pajiramon but his body disappeared all the same within the blast, his form hidden from everyone's sights by Rapidmon's Tri Beam.

After a few seconds the Tamers and their Digimon, those still conscious at least, cheered a bit at their apparent victory over the two Devas. Their celebration was short lived of course once they realized all the destruction that had happened during their battle and the dawning realization that it wouldn't be long before law enforcement officials were crawling all over the area to investigate what had happened. Acting quickly the Tamers left the area, Naruto grabbing Patamon, Renamon still carrying Coronamon, and Rapidmon flying off to rejoin his Tamer once he de-digivolved.

Hypnos

"They both just disappeared." Yamaki muttered starring down at the now blank screen of his personal tablet that only a few seconds ago displayed the signals of the two Wild Ones that had Bioemerged.

"Not quite," Riley countered as she ran another scan through the system with a different set of parameters. "I'm still getting a reading on one of them." She said after double checking the data that she was getting.

Night had set in and Rika was making her way home after spending a few hours at the park with the others, following their battle with the Devas. Eventually they all decided to return to their respective homes for one reason or another, though Naruto had tried to walk Rika home only for the amtheyst eyed Tamer to refuse and send the shinobi home. Now she was only a few blocks from her home.

"Rika~!" A voice that Rika immediately recognized as belonging to her mother called out to her from behind her. Turning around Rika spotted her mother almost running to catch up to her.

"Mom?" Rika questioned a bit surprised to see her mother out so late at night. "What are you doing here?" She asked her mother.

Rumiko took a couple seconds to regain her breath, eyes closed and a hand placed over her chest, before with one last breath she opened her eyes and answered her daughter's question. "The shoot ran late today and then they had me stay back to give my opinion on some of the shots that were taken." Rumiko answered with a sigh. "Honestly it's all such a hassle sometimes." The famous model complained mildly as she closed her eyes and shook her head before refocusing her attention on her daughter once more, "But what about you Rika? What are you doing out so late?" Rumiko questioned her daughter.

"I was hanging out with Naruto and some of my other friends and it just got a little late." Rika answered with a half-truth.

"I see," Rumiko commented. "While I'm glad that you have friends to hang out with Rika," The blonde mother began truthfully. "But Naruto really should have walked you home if was getting dark." The model said out loud with mild disappointment, crossing her arms over her chest. "It's dangerous to be walking around alone at this hour."

Rika rolled her eyes at her mother's comment. "I'm fine mom," The redhead said exasperated. "I don't need Whiskers to protect me. I can take care of myself." Rika claimed and with the training that she was receiving from Naruto she was sure of that. Not that her mother knew about the training.

"You should listen to your mom girly." A male voice that neither of the women recognized spoke up drawing their attention. "You never know who you might run into." The man's voice said.

Three men were walking towards the mother and daughter. One of the men stood in between the other two and walked a couple of steps ahead of them making him look like the apparent leader of the small group. The man had messy short light brown hair, beady black eyes that were leering at Rumiko and Rika, and slightly tanned skin with a wide smirk on his face. He wore a white sleeveless shirt with a purple jacket over it and a silver chain necklace on. He also had dark blue jeans and black shoes on.

The man to his immediate left was a few inches taller than him with darker tanned skin and dark brown eyes. On top of his head he had a red bandanna with a few strands of his black hair poking through. The man wore a black t-shirt, which was slightly strained covering his muscular upper torso, with light blue jeans and black boots. Around each of his wrists were black wrists bands.

The last man of the group stood only slightly shorter than the first, a difference in height that was barely even noticeable to most, and skinnier than the other two. Most of his brown hair was shaved short with the exception of the Mohawk that was spiked and brushed back. The man's face reminded Rika of that of a rats' right down to the buck teeth. The man wore a grey shirt under a dark red puffer vest jacket and brown pants and simple, if not slightly worn, shoes. Around his neck was a pendant with a probably fake jewel at its end.

Rumiko moved to immediately stand between her daughter and the three men blocking their view of Rika as much as possible. "Please we don't want any trouble." Rumiko said, more than a slight hint of pleading in her voice. "If it's money that you want then you can have it, just leave us alone." The mother of one said shrugging her purse off her shoulder and tossing it to the ground in front of the three men.

The two men standing on either side of the leader gazes shifted to the purse lying on the ground, but their attention was instantly snapped back to Rumiko when their boss started to snicker out loud. "Are you for real lady?" Then man questioned with a raised eyebrow. "We got two hot babes right here what makes you think what we want is your money?" He asked taking a threatening step towards Rika and Rumiko. "We might take it, but not until after we're done with you."

Rika glared at the man her hands clenched into fists just itching to slam into the man's face. The redhead was sure that she would find it very satisfying to break the fool's nose and knock out a few teeth. She was more than just confident that she could do it with Naruto's training too. Most would consider it a bad idea for a single girl of fifteen to take on three fully grown adults by themselves, but even without Naruto's training Rika had Renamon nearby looking out for her. If Rika was in any real danger Renamon would do move to protect her Tamer.

"Please," Rumiko voice came out pleading and fearful, Rika's safety paramount. "Just leave."

Rika felt her anger flare to impossible heights, as she subconsciously summoned what chakra she possessed to the forefront, at having to listen to her mother practically beg for the three men to leave them be.

The leader's smirk turned into a wide sneer as he approached Rumiko, his two goons moving to surround the two women, a hand stretched out in order to touch her. "Come on I promise you'll enj-guah!"

The man was cut off before he could finish because as soon as the man was within arm's reach of Rumiko, Rika rushed forward. A fist to the gut caused the man to double over, mouth wide open. The man was barley in that possession for a second before Rika hit him with an upper cut that not only broke his nose but also knocked him completely off his feet.

"Boss!" The two men cried out seeing their leader, with blood coming out of his nose, sprawled out across the ground. With the two men momentarily distracted Rika reached for her mother's purse. The two thugs turned their attention away from their leader to Rika.

"You bi-!" The rat faced one began only for Rumiko's purse to slam into his face, Rika having thrown it to buy her a few more seconds.

Rika used those precious few seconds to launch herself at the larger man. The man threw his arms out wide trying to grab ahold of the girl, but Rika ducked under his reach before sweeping his legs out from under him causing him to fall to his knees. Then spinning on her heel Rika delivered a kick, with a bit of chakra added to make it stronger, to the man's back causing him to fall over completely.

The rat faced man snatched the purse off his face in time to see his friend fall to the ground from Rika's kick. With a snarl appearing on the man's face he was about to charge Rika when his face suddenly paled and scrunched up considerably. Rumiko had snuck up behind the man while he was distracted and when the man intended to rush her daughter Rumiko had lashed out with her leg, kicking the man right between his legs. A strangled, high pitched, cry escaped the man's lips before he fell over holding onto his hurting privates.

Once Rumiko was sure that the man that she kicked wasn't about to get back up she turned her attention to Rika who was also looking back at her. "Rika are you okay?" The mother instantly asked worried.

"I'm fine mom." Rika replied pacifyingly trying her best to ease her mother's worries.

Rumiko still looked her daughter over before nodding her head in acceptance when she didn't find anything visibly wrong. Her look of concern though turned to one of confusion. "Rika how did you do that?" She asked. While not the most awesome feats of martial arts, that honor still belonged to Naruto, it was still than what Rumiko was expecting from her daughter.

Rika hesitated for a second but was about to answer when a shout came out from behind her.

"You, BITCH!" The leader shouted behind Rika, having finally recovered from the amtheyst eyed Tamer's attack, blood streaming down his nose. In his hand the man held a switch blade. Even though Rika was caught by surprise at the leader being back on his feet, and then lunging at her with the small blade, the redhead still brought her hands up to defend herself without hesitating for even a second. Though it proved completely unnecessary, as the man was stopped before he could even get close to the amtheyst eyed Tamer.

Renamon appeared between her Tamer and the leader, firmly grabbing hold of the arm that held the knife. "You will not harm Rika." Renamon stated forcefully, putting pressure on the man's wrist until he was forced to drop the knife. With a flick of her own wrist Renamon snapped the man's wrist before tossing him to the side almost carelessly. The three men huddled together on the ground staring up at Renamon fearfully, the kitsune Digimon's glowing eyes made them all the more terrified. "You should leave." Renamon advised the three men gravely, barely restraining herself from attacking the men that had threatened her Tamer. She could only imagine what Naruto would do if he found out about this.

The three didn't need to be told twice seeing how their night had been going, so scrambling to their feet as best they could, while holding their injuries, the men stumbling away as best they could.

Renamon didn't even wait for the men to leave completely before she turned her attention to her Tamer. "Are you okay Rika?" The Rookie level Digimon asked, looking her Tamer over carefully for the smallest sign of injury.

Rika nodded her head in response. "I'm fine," The redhead assured with a smile. "Thanks."

"Rika," Rumiko's voice reminded the Digimon and Tamer pair that they still weren't alone. "What is going on? How did you do that? And who…?" The blonde mother asked as she stared at Renamon carefully, her form slightly tense.

Rika looked back at her mother feeling slightly panicked, suddenly gaining an understanding of what Henry must have been feeling earlier, but knew that the only thing she could do was tell her mother the truth. Though before Rika could get a word out shouts of pain and surprise drew the females' attention. Rika, Renamon, and Rumiko recognized the voices as those belonging to the men that had tried to just assault the mother and daughter.

"What the fu-!"

Turning their attention to the source they watched as the three men were tossed around, hitting walls and the ground, before they ended up as heaps on the ground, a few of their limbs pointing in directions that they definitely shouldn't be. The cause of the state of the men was the large black furred bull-centaur Digimon that made its way towards them.

"You're...still alive." Rika muttered honestly amazed to see the bull Deva considering what he had been through and then looking like it was hit by Rapidmon's Tri Beam.

"You." Vajramon murmured completely ignoring the two human women as he pointed towards Renamon.

Renamon narrowed her eyes as she stared at the Deva before finally replying. "I understand." The kitsune Digimon finally said as she walked towards the much larger Digimon.

"Wait, what's happening?" Rika asked her gaze shifting confusedly between her partner and the Deva quickly. "Renamon, where are you going?" She almost demanded.

"He wants to talk." Renamon answered simply.

"That's correct." Vajramon confirmed, though it was clear that he had little patience for answering the redhead's questions.

"She can talk about whatever it is here." Rika returned heatedly, glaring at the Deva.

"Rika," Rumiko whispered to her daughter in an attempt to curb her temper unless the Deva decided to attack them. Though she didn't know what was going on Rumiko was aware enough to recognize the Ultimate level Digimon, though she didn't know what he was, as a threat.

"Silence you' ignorant human!" Vajramon snapped his hands moving toward his swords.

"She's not going." Rika reaffirmed without backing down even a little.

"I need you to let me do this, Rika." Renamon spoke softly pleading for her partner to understand.

"How can you possibly trust him?" Rika questioned her partner Digimon incredulously.

Renamon wanted to tell her partner that she didn't but really couldn't in the current situation. "I have questions that only he can answer." Renamon eventually settled for. "Don't worry I won't be long." She promised.

"What kind of questions?" Rika continued to question still unwilling to just let her Digimon go with Vajramon.

"I'll explain everything when I return." Renamon assured her Tamer as Vajramon began to walk away and Renamon following him soon after.

Rika watched after the two Digimon until they both eventually disappeared left with little other choice but to believe that Renamon would eventually return.

"Rika," Rumiko called toward her daughter again, this time getting her attention. "What is happening?" The blonde mother asked once more and by the steely look in her eyes it was clear to Rika that she wouldn't accept anything but the complete and total truth. "Tell me what is going on?"

Rika stared at her mother for a moment before nodding her head in acceptance. She wished that she could brush off her mother's questions with that it was nothing, but it was kind of hard to brush off what happened in the last few minutes. "Okay," Rika relented. "Let's go home and I'll explain." She promised with every intention of making sure that Naruto was going to be there as well. If she had to be interrogated by her mother and most probably her grandmother Rika was going to make sure that Naruto didn't get off easy.

AN: Alright this chapter is over. The end of this chapter was mostly done because I wanted to do something different plus it felt like a good stopping point. Another reason is because I want to go ahead and begin the next chapter of my Naruto/Code Geass fic. The plans for the next chapter specifically the ending will also be different which will hopefully help me make some serious changes.

Now please remember to review.
