Hello everyone!
First things first, yes I know we're not supposed to use chapters as notes and no I don't care. So, for those buttclenchers who need to follow the rules to a T, calm yourself and unclench. Trust me, I've written notes before and had people actually waste a comment by telling me I'm not supposed to do that. I know the rules and I will delete this note in a few days. I do need feedback from anyone who still cares about this story. XD
Secondly, I do apologize greatly for not writing in a very long time. If any of you have depression you know how those darker times can suck all the inspiration out of you. It's been a bad two years but I'm working on getting my life back in order. That includes delving back into writing.
Now, I want to be honest with you all. As much as I loved this story, it has gotten to the point where I'm bored with it. I believe I started writing it too close with the actual series and it left me feeling like I was just repeating it. It got a little painful to go back and read it.
We have two options. I can re-write this story and add more originality to it. Or, I can scrap this story and start on another Hiei fic I've wanted to write for a while. It gives me far more room to add in my own twist, so I won't be following the series as closely as before. I'm leaning towards the latter but I did want to at least hear from the readers.
My second story idea begins around the time the guys have their last battle with Sensui. It's farther into the story, but I think it would be fun to flush out the time between their battle and the Makai Tournament (in my mind anyways). It'll probably go farther beyond that, it depends. I can be flexible when it comes to the characters. My main character is obviously a female. I'm not sure if I want to make her into a clone of Selina, but I can use her name. My character is older than Selina was so she won't be as naïve and childish. I can add some of my other characters from the old story into the new. I'm playing around with that idea. I do have the basic plot down and I know what I want to happen.
