CHAPTER 9: Unstoppable love

She could see the shock and the surprise in Bobby's eyes. She had the same reaction when the doctor confirmed her pregnancy, few hours before. She was pregnant again, of Bobby's baby this time, she couldn't be happier and scared at the same time. She had the proof to not be a good mother years ago when she lost Emma and only God knew how much she suffered because of that. She was afraid to disappoint Bobby, she couldn't lose him too. Their marriage was totally different from her marriage with Harris, the relationship with Bobby was based on love, trust and respect, the opposite of the one with Harris. The only problem was that she never mentioned to Bobby about Emma and real reason of her divorce from Harris, but it was the past, Bobby was her future and she knew she couldn't live without him.

'You.. you're pregnant?' he asked with an incredulous tone. 'How? I mean…. I know how' he smiled at her. 'But when?'. She realized that Bobby was more surprised than her, but he didn't look shocked or sad now, he just need few minutes to realized that.

Ann took a deep breath before to start talking. 'Do you remember that afternoon near the oak like three months ago?'. He nodded his head. 'I think it happened that day after that romantic picnic' she said, with a little smile. She wasn't sure about how he was gonna take the news but he was incredibly and worrying quiet. He got up and brought his hand on his mouth, taking a deep breath.

'Oh my God. You're pregnant' he said, without turning to her. She couldn't see his face so she stood up. He was just a couple of meters away from her and she didn't know if she had to get closer to him or just stay there.

She could hear the sound of his breath and it wasn't reassuring for her. 'Bobby. Is.. is it.. too bad?' she asked him, worried.

'What?' he asked, turning to her. 'Bad?' starting to walk over her. 'Oh no, no Annie. It's.. it's amazing' he put his hands on her cheeks. 'Christopher is my son, maybe not by blood but in my heart, I feel like he is' he said, holding her hands. 'After what happened to Pamela, I never thought I could have a my own child and now this..' he put his hand her belly, 'This is.. perfect, Annie'. She couldn't be happier to hear those words. Bobby looked really happy to have another child and she felt blessed to be the woman who bared his baby. 'We're gonna have a baby' he whispered to her with a smile before he kissed her. All the fears and the worries were gone. Bobby was perfect for her and she knew that with him everything was gonna be fine and they were gonna have a beautiful baby.

'We're gonna have a baby' she repeated his words with an happy tone, putting her arms around him and hugging him. The warm of that hug was a bless for her, she needed to fee the touch of her body near Bobby's. 'Oh, almost forgot this' she said, moving back. She took something from the pocket of her sweater. 'This is the first picture of our little baby' and she showed him the picture, smiling.

Bobby took the picture and he stared it for few seconds with a big smile on his face. Then he suddenly knelt down so that he was in front of her belly and put his hands on her hips. 'Hey little baby, it's your daddy here' he started to whisper and Ann couldn't help but smile at that. 'This amazing woman who is carrying you in her womb just made me the happiest man in the world' he rose his eyes to see her and she smiled at him then he watched back to her belly. 'I love her so much and I'm sure you're gonna love her too, she's just incredible, trust me' he finished and he kissed her belly. It was such a romantic act and Ann felt blessed to have him in her life. He stood up, still holding the picture of their baby.

'I love you, Bobby' she said, putting her arms on his shoulder.

'I love you too, Annie' he whispered. They kissed passionately.

They spent almost two hours, sat on the couch in his office, cuddling and kissing. It started to rain and the sounds of it beating against the window was relaxing. He caressed her belly many times, he was at cloud nine. He couldn't believe that he met Ann less than a year before and she had already given him so much. She accepted to marry him after only few weeks, the wedding and the perfect honeymoon in Hawaii and now this, a little baby. It was a shocked and unexpected surprise, but he couldn't ask for more. A new Ewing was coming in his life, his baby. He was keep thinking about three words, I'm pregnant. Nothing could be better for him.

'You know, I'll have to do amniocentesis because of my age, just to be sure' she said, interrupting his thoughts.

'Are you afraid, honey?' he asked. She sounded worried.

'No, I'm not till you'll be here with me' she said, smiling at him and holding his hand. He caressed her face.

'I'll always be here for you, Annie' he said and kissed her.

They were hugging when someone knocked at the office door. They both turned and saw Christopher and Sue Ellen. Bobby moved his hand to let them know to come in, in the meantime Ann and him were standing up. 'Just in time to know the beautiful news' he whispered to her ear and they both laughed.

Christopher opened the door and let Sue Ellen came in first and he followed her. 'Sorry, we didn't want to interrupt anything' she said, giving Ann a hug.

'Don't worry Sue Ellen, we were just talking' Ann replied to her.

Then Bobby gave a kiss to Sue Ellen on her cheek. 'So' he started, 'Annie and I have something to tell you' he hold her waist with his arm. They looked each other, like they were waiting the other to announce it.

'Oh come on, don't torture us' Christopher said, joking.

'We're gonna have a baby' Ann said, lowering her head to watch her belly with her beautiful smile. Bobby just loved that smile, it was her real happy smile. He loved everything in her but her smile had something special.

'What?' Christopher and Sue Ellen said at the same time with a surprised tone. 'A baby?' Sue Ellen continued.

'Yes, exactly Sue Ellen' he said, smiling. Christopher walked over him and Sue Ellen over Ann, like they agreed. Bobby had to leave Ann's waist to hug his son.

'I'm so happy for you, darlin' Sue Ellen said to Ann, hugging her friend. Then she turned to Bobby and she hugged him too. In the meantime Christopher gave a kiss to Ann on her cheek and he congratulated with her.

'So, I'll have a baby brother' he said, smiling.

'Or a baby sister' Sue Ellen specified.

'Well, the doctor said that from the results, there's the eighty percent of possibilities that will be a girl' Ann said, smiling. 'We'll sure about it in a couple of weeks, with the amniocentesis results'. She didn't say it to him before so Bobby was happily surprised that they're gonna have little girl.

'Oh that's great, a new Ewing lady is coming in this family' Sue Ellen said, laughing. 'We're surrounded men, grown and young'. They all laughed.

'Talking about men..' Ann said to Sue Ellen, 'would you like a cup of tea so we leave my men talking about the ranch?' she suggested.

'With pleasure, darlin' Sue Ellen replied. Ann turned to Bobby and gave him a sweet and quick kiss before walking out of his office, closing the door behind her.

Bobby watched Christopher and he grimaced. 'Come on, just say it, son' Bobby said with a funny tone. He already knew what his son was gonna tell him, but he wanted give him the satisfaction to say it. Christopher laughed at that.

'Dad, I'm proud of you' Christopher said. It could sound just like a compliment but they both he was alluding to another things. Bobby took a joke.

'Thank you, son' he said and they both laughed. Bobby needed to focus on the problem with the enclosure. 'Let's talk about the enclosure. What did you find?' he asked, worried about that could be the answer. They both started to walk over his desk where there still was the map of Southfork ranch.

'We checked all the enclosure before it started to rain and we found out that the enclosure is damaged in the North part' Christopher said, indicating where was the damage. 'But it's not so bad as the first of this morning. We can fix both of them in few days' he finished.

'Okay, let's fix these as soon as we can and we have to think a way to avoid that it will happen again' Bobby said. If someone really had done it on purpose, it'd have been a big problem and it couldn't happen again.

That night.

Ann was in the bathroom, preparing up for the night. She turned to the big mirror and she raised her blue night gown. She touched her belly and she couldn't help but smile. A tear of joy fall on her cheek, being pregnant again was a blessing for her. She wiped the tear, dropped the night gown and she walked out of the bathroom to reach her man in the bedroom. Bobby was waiting her in their bed and he turned to her when she was walking over it. She lay down in the bed near to him and covered. Bobby opened his arm, she get closed to him and she lay her head down on his chest while he hugged her.

'You didn't tell me that it'll be a girl, earlier' he said.

'I'm sorry, Bobby. I was so excited to tell you about the pregnancy and glad that you were happy to have another child that I forgot to tell you about it' she replied, with a sorrowful tone.

'Don't worry, honey' he kissed her forehead. There was a moment of silence on the room. 'Since we are almost sure that we're gonna have a girl..' he interrupted the silence, 'I think we should choose a name for her'.

'You know..' she started, 'since your brother and John Ross inherited their name from your dad, Jock' she took a break., 'maybe we can name our girl, Ellie, in honor of your mother' she finished, lifting her head to see him. He was smiling.

'You couldn't think for a better name for our little girl' he whispered, moving her to kiss her. Then he pulled back the covers and he caressed her belly, 'Hey little girl, do you like the name Ellie?' he said, before kissed it, 'I think your mommy decided the perfect name'. Ann smiled at him.

'I think I'll be the most jealous woman in the world' she said, kidding.

'Oh you won't have to be' he said, approaching her, 'You changed my life in a way that nobody will ever be able to understand. I'll never stop loving you, Annie'. He kissed her passionately.

'I love you so much, Bobby' she whispered. They kept kissing and kissing. They both know what was gonna about to happen.
