Dunamis leaned back in his chair with a broad smile on his face. "God, I haven't eaten that well since… Well, let's just leave it at I haven't eaten that well." Kaori smiled. "It was delicious."
"Thanks," Kaori said, heat slowly prickling her cheeks.
"Since you made that amazing meal, I'll do the dishes and get this mess cleaned up."
"You don't have to do that, I'll help you if yo-"
"No, no. I want to do this," he said as he stood up and collected the dishes from the table. He walked over to the sink and began filling it up with hot water. Kaori noticed the steam rising from the water as Dunamis set them into the basin and let them soak for a bit. "So," he said as he turned around to face her, leaning against the counter with his arms crossed, "what exactly were you doing here in the first place?" He asked.
"Well, if you must insist, sassy, I'll tell you."
"Who you callin' sassy?" he asked with a hint of playful hurt in his voice.
Kaori just giggled and he chuckled as well. "Anyway, I was sent here on a sort of 'mission' I suppose you could say. I work for the WBBA as whatever they need, really. They usually send me out on hunts for powerful bladers," she said as she gestured to him, "or to find the types of bladers who are not only powerful, but want to use their power for evil purposes. As of right now, I was on the hunt for you and the other powerful bladers who were hunting you down as well."
"I'm being… Hunted?" He asked. Kaori nodded. "What do they want with me?"
"They want you because you and about nine others are their biggest enemies; the ones they fear most right now. They think that if they found you first, that you could be helpful to them, instead of putting an end to them," she said.
"Okay, wait, back it up a little. Who exactly is 'they?'"
"The evil ones."
"That clears it up…" He said.
"Look… Dunamis, I would tell you, if I knew that myself. The only things I know are that Johannes works for them, and they want a sort of apocalyptical ending to go along with their little plan. That's why I've been sent after you, so I can make sure that you don't get tricked into joining their forces."
"Okay, so let's say that 'they' did get to me first, and that I did join their forces. What would they use me for?" Dunamis asked.
"They'd use you as their sort of guard. Make sure that you held back the others who tried to bring them down while they plan the end of the world. They're a crazy lot. Anyway, after the 'good forces' called The Legendary Bladers have been taken out, then they would use the star fragment located in your bey to make their 'master's' bey stronger, as though it really needs it."
"So, how strong is this guy's bey?"
"Let's just say that it can take out a small city in one swift movement and command from its owner."
Dunamis whistled at the immense power that had just been described to him. Does something like this really exist? How can it be?
