Miroku was sitting at a circle table eating a bowl of beef and rice while he watches Sango pace back and forth. Inuyasha and looking out a floor to ceiling window that covered the whole back wall. Window looked out onto a garden that had all types of flowers and herbs growing. It also had a large willow tree that looked like it could be centuries old.
"When can we see Kagome!?" Sango stop pacing and demanded to no one. Inuyasha turn to look at Sango, but said nothing. He blamed himself for putting Kagome in this position. If he hadn't yelled at her, Naraku wouldn't have had the chance to poison her.
Miroku stopped eating and walk to Sango. He placed his hands on her shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes. "Sango, Sesshomaru is tending to Kagome right now. I bet Eric and the little lady are about to come see us any moment now."
Sango eyes were watery and she shook her head. Miroku pulled her into her arms to hug her. Suddenly, she felt hands on her rear. She quickly pulled back and slapped him across his face.
Before she could make a statement, the doors opened. Everyone turn to look at who was entering. Eric and a young woman walk through the doors. Sango and Inuyasha were caught by this woman who look like she didn't belong on Earth. With her long purplish hair and her glowing skin, she looks ethereal. Inuyasha to a deep breath, he could smell that Eric had marked this woman. He must be her mate. He also could smell that she was 100% human. He could feel power at bay with in her, which caused him to tilt his head. She was human, had power, but wasn't a Miko.
"What are you?" slipped from his lips.
Eric step in front of this woman and looked towards Miroku. "Kagome is well and is resting"
Inuyasha recognized that he might have said something wrong but he continued on, "What is she? She smells human but her power isn't." He took a step towards them.
"Inuyasha don..." Miroku tried to warn him but Eric was already in front of him. He just sighs, because he knows what going to happen next. He makes his way over to the woman. "Hello Samantha, it good to see you again."
Eric has his hand around Inuyasha neck and raising him off the floor. Inuyasha growled and tried to loosen Eric hand from his neck, but couldn't. Eric shook Inuyasha until he quieted and stopped trying to escape. Eric brought Inuyasha to his eye level. He spoke in a measured growl, "You will not address my mate in that way again. Are we clear?"
Inuyasha tried to speak but Eric was holding him so tight he couldn't get the words out. So, he just nodded his head as much as he could.
"Eric that enough." Samantha's soft voice said as she moves behind Eric. She gently places her hand on his shoulder. Eric quickly drops Inuyasha and turns towards her. He let out a soothing hum and pull her into him. They stand there for a minute, just enjoying each other's warmth.
"Not to seem rude, but can you tells more on how Kagome is doing?" Sango said.
Eric and Samantha head towards the table and he pulls out a chair for her to sit in. Once she was seated she look straight at Sango. "I attend to Sesshomaru's mate shortly after they were mated."
Inuyasha quick walked towards the table and slammed his fist down and said, "He can't do that, she didn't consent."
"I would highly recommend not speaking to the little lady like that again. Eric will kill you, SESSHOMARU will kill you. Understand?" Miroku said this with slight angry voice and hits him in the head with his staff.
Inuyasha glares at Miroku but then walks towards the window to sit.
Sango clears her throat and ask, "How is she?"
Samantha gets up and walks towards her and takes her hands and looks her in the eyes and says, "She is well. The mating elimated the poison and she is resting now. Once she wakes, Sesshomaru will explain things to her and then I bet she would love to see you."
Sango sniff while a tear fall from her eyes and said, "Thank you."
Samantha just nods, "You all should rest. She won't wake until mid-day tomorrow. So, get some sleep." Eric walks towards her and they leave the room.
Once they were gone Miroku started to head to the door, "She right. Let me show you guys to your rooms. Let us rest with peace knowing are friend is well." Inuyasha and Sango follow him and head to bed.
