AN: I do not own MI High, or anything else you recognise. I just own Demi, Jamie, David, Amanda, Amy and Patterson.

Demi's POV

I ran down the corridor, shortly followed by Amy's henchmen. Upon reaching a dead end, I turned and began to fight, taking out ten before my arms began to hurt. As one of the remaining fifteen began to circle me, ten collapsed to the floor, revealing Jamie, David and Greg. Once they'd all gone down, Jamie offered me her hand, and pulled me back up. "You're welcome. Now, come on! Amy has your dad!" David said.

"What?" I asked, as we ran back through the endless corridors, eventually arriving back in the Shadow Hall. My dad was locked in a cage, while Patterson was knelt on the floor beside him. "You'll never get away with this Amy!" He yelled, before seeing us. He smiled, and pointed at a set of keys on the table. Jamie nodded, and rolled forward, dodging the lasers. She got the keys and unlocked the cage, while David turned off the beams. Patterson immediately ran past us, and out the hall. "You're welcome!" Jamie muttered, returning to us. Greg nodded at her, before running after Patterson. I turned to my father and wrapped my arms around him. "I'm sorry." I murmured. As he went to reply, a gunshot echoed, causing me to turn. Amy was knelt on the floor, clutching her wound from before, courtesy of David's pen. "You... You took my loved ones life, so I'll take one of yours." She said, gesturing at my father, as he fell to the floor. David sighed,

"Can you not just die already?" He yelled, walking over to her and grabbing her hair. "If he's dead, I kill everything that matters to you, got it?" He asked, as she nodded. I shakily held my dad, beginning to cry. "Please don't..." I swallowed and spoke again, "You're all I have left, please don't leave me. I'm begging you."

"Demi... don't cry. It's not your fault." Jamie said, before David pulled her away.

"She's right. You're never alone Demi. We'll always be with you, whatever." My dad said. I shook my head, as his eyes shut and he stopped moving.

"David?" Jamie said.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"You can kill her now." Jamie replied, as I closed my eyes.

I woke up screaming. Hyperventilating, I looked around, and realised that I'd fallen asleep. It was just a dream. A horrible, horrible dream. I got out of bed, and saw that thankfully I hadn't waken Amanda up. She was staying over as her dad was working in New York all week. Picking up my fleece from the floor, I headed downstairs, going to get a drink. I sat at the table, and drank my water, my teeth chattering against the glass. It was so cold. This wasn't the first time this week I'd woken up screaming. I hadn't been sleeping well lately, and I didn't know why. As I zipped my fleece up, the phone rang. I looked at the clock, it was half past 3 in the morning. Who was calling at this time? I picked up the receiver, saying, "Hello? Who is it?"

"Demi! Sorry for calling this late!" Mr Flatley said.

"That's OK, I was awake anyway. What's wrong?"

"It's about your father. I found him wandering the school corridors, sleepwalking. He was talking about someone called Hyperia? Is that your mother?" He asked.

"No. My mother was called Amelia. I've never heard of Hyperia."

"Well, that's strange. Anyway, can you come and get him? I'll meet you at the gates to let you in." He said.

"Sure. I'll be there in 10 minutes." I replied, hanging up. After getting dressed, and leaving Amanda a note in case she woke up, I left the house. Running, I arrived at the school to find that Mr Flatley wasn't there. Well, I'm not standing out here for 5 minutes! I jumped up, clutching to the bars of the school gate, and climbed over, catching my leg on a spike. I hissed at the pain, and saw that I wasn't bleeding luckily. It just hurt. I walked up the school in time to see Flatley open the school door. He jumped at seeing me, and said, "How did you get in?"

"I climbed over the fence. I'm not standing in the street! Where's my dad?" I asked.

"Wow. He's in my office, follow me." He said, turning around. After walking in silence for a while, we arrived at the office, where my father was sat staring at the wall.

"Demi? What are you doing here?" He asked, seeing me.

"I'm here to take you home. Come on. Thank you for looking after him Mr F." I said, taking my father's arm and pulling him out of the office. "Do you have the key to get out of here?" I asked. Frank nodded, and I followed him out of school. "Who's Hyperia?" I asked.

"An old member of my team. She died during the attack on KORPS years ago. You probably wouldn't remember her. You were 5 when she died." He explained.

"But if she died that long ago, then why are you up in the middle of the night talking about her?" I asked.

"I don't know. I haven't been sleeping well lately."

"Me neither. Every night it's just nightmares." I said.

"What are yours about?"

"Mom." I stated, and he sighed.

"I'm going to let her hurt you Demi. I mean it." He said. I nodded, and hugged him.

"Thank you. Dad?"

"Yeah?"

"Don't ever leave me. OK?"

"I wouldn't. You couldn't cope without me, and you know it." I smiled, and pulled away.

"Indeed. Now, let's go home." I said, and we walked home, not knowing what would happen in just a few hours.
