AN: I don't own MI High, or anything else you recognise. I just own Demi, Jamie, David, Amanda, Patterson and Amy.

Demi's POV

"Are you being serious? When did this happen?" I asked.

"About half an hour ago. Do you want me to tell Amanda?" Jamie said.

"Yeah. I don't think I can give her that kind of news." I replied, running my hands through my hair.

"Sure. I'll tell her when school's out. Anyway, I'd better leave you to it. Later Dems." She said, hugging me, and then walking back into the building. I sighed, and slumped down in my seat. Could this day get any worse? As I thought that, my pencil begun to flash. I picked it up, and answered, putting it against my ear. "Yeah?"

"Demi?" Tom's voice asked.

"Yes. Who else would it be?" I replied.

"I think you should get down here. I have something you might want to see."

"Fine." I replied, and hung up. I walked quickly back to HQ, glancing at my watch. It was 4:51. I begun to run, making it to the base in 30 seconds. "What's up?" I asked, walking in. Tom smiled, and gestured for me to walk over to him. "Tell me you love me."

"Why? What have you done?" I asked, sitting beside him.

"Demi? Is that you?" A voice over comms said.

"Dad?" I said, grabbing the communicator. "Is that you?"

"Yes."

"But I thought..." I trailed off, looking at Tom. "Is this reality? I fell asleep on the bench didn't I?" He shook his head.

"No. We're giving Bland his memories back now." He said, and I flung my arms around him.

"How did you do it?" I asked.

"No idea. I didn't actually do anything. Frank just took out Retentive, and we figured that the Happy Chair didn't work." Tom said, before looking back at his screen. "Found it! Restoring Bland's memories now!" He said, hitting keys on the keyboard.

"What's going on?" A voice asked over the comms, which I presumed belonged to Bland.

"What do you know about Operation Budgie?" My dad asked.

"Frank I can't. Code zero." Bland answered.

"Nuclear Launch, 5 pm." My dad said.

"The UK's nuclear launch codes. If KORPS got hold of them, they could launch every missile in the country." Bland replied. "Only two people have them. The Prime Minister and Sir Bufton Bird."

"Who the hell is he? I seriously need to do more reading." I interrupted.

"He's the head of Nuclear Intelligence." Bland said.

"Now that makes sense." I replied.

"KORPS have installed high-tech Happy Chairs in Number 10, Downing Street to get the codes. You have to stop them!" Bland explained.

"OK, I'll send security a message! What should I tell them? 'Beware The Happy Chairs?' or 'Don't let the PM and Mr Bird sit down?' Which sounds less insane?" I asked.

"Just send the damn message!" Stella said.

"OK, geez." I replied, entering the message into the servers and hitting send. "Please work." I murmured, biting my thumbnail. I smiled as a message appeared on the screen, reading 'Operation Budgie Successful'. "Yes!" I yelled, throwing my hands in the air. "We did it!"

"Well, technically we did it. You did basically nothing Dems." Tom said.

"Fine."

After the whole ordeal, Tom walked me home. I entered my house, and saw my father stood in the hallway. I smiled, and dropped my bag, running towards him with my arms outstretched. He smiled back, and hugged me when we collided. "I missed you." I murmured.

"Missed you too Dems." He responded, kissing my forehead. I didn't let go for a while, but when I eventually did, I whispered,

"Never leave me again. Please."

"I promise."

"Keep it this time." I replied.

"I'll try." He said. I smiled, and entered the living room, as Tom followed.

"Right, I'll see you tomorrow, then?" He asked. I nodded, and lightly kissed him.

"Thank you for today. I needed it." I said.

"You're welcome." He responded, kissing me again. I smiled, as his arms wrapped around my waist. I responded by kissing back, as he pushed me backwards onto the sofa. As his hands moved up the neckline of my shirt, there was a knock at the door. I sighed, and got up. "Wait there." I said to him, answering the door.

"Sissy! It's me!" Amanda said, skipping into the hallway.

"I can see that." I said, as Jamie followed her in, carrying her bags.

"She's been so excited the whole way here. She was singing, very loudly." Jamie said, dropping her bags on the floor. "You OK? You look very... ruffled? Is that a word?"

"I'm fine. Come on Amanda, let's go and see Frank." I said, taking the little girl into the kitchen. My dad looked up, and smiled at Amanda as she skipped in.

"Hello." He said, as she sat next to him at the kitchen table.

"Hi!" She cried, putting her toy on the table.

"I'm going to leave you to it. I have homework to be doing in my bedroom." I said, going to leave the room, when I remembered my question from before. "Dad? Am I named after Stella? I mean, my middle name?" He nodded.

"After Amy died, I thought KORPS might come after you. So I changed your name to prevent that."

"So, I had a different name? What was it?" I asked, curiously.

"Samantha, I think. Samantha Amelia Hudgens." He answered, as Amanda got out her crayons, and knocked her water all over the table.

"Pretty name. I prefer Demi myself." I said, leaving the room. Jamie glanced at me on her way out.

"I know what you're up to. It's far from homework, isn't it Demietra?" She said, smirking.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." I answered.

"Course you don't. Word of advice, don't lean your head against the headboard. It hurts like hell." Jamie said, walking out.

"Thanks Jai. Really helpful." I called after her, before entering the living room, and shutting the door.
