AN: I don't own MI High, or anything else you recognise. I just own Demi, Jamie, David, Amanda, Patterson and Amy.
"What do you mean, you're dangerous? If anything Dems, you're far from dangerous. I'm the dangerous one." Jamie answered.
"Apparently not. I've been watched by MI9 operatives since I was 3. There's something wrong with me." I replied.
"Are you sure it's you? Not this other girl?" Jamie asked.
"Positive. It basically said, 'Agent London has been classified unsafe, and should not be trusted on any basis. She is a failed result of Experiment Violet.'" I said, remembering what the file had said. "What's Experiment Violet?" Jamie questioned.
"No idea. But whatever it was, it went wrong."
"Do you think it was to do with Amy?" Jamie said.
"No mention of her anywhere. I'm scared Jai. If I am dangerous, what if I hurt someone? What if one day, I just snap and end up killing someone?" I said.
"I highly doubt that'll happen Dems. But just in case, I'll keep a baseball bat handy in case you freak out." Jamie replied.
"Thanks Jai, that's really gonna help." I murmured, running a hand through my hair. We then followed Mr Flatley through the woods, Melissa and David correcting him on the directions occasionally. I walked with my head down, my mind running in circles. I was so confused. Am I really dangerous? I don't really know who I am anymore. "Demi! Come and walk with us!" David called from the front, stopping for a moment. I walked over to him, and he said, "Do try and keep up! You'll get left behind otherwise!"
"I know." I replied, and kept walking.
"Stop harassing her David! She's got enough on her mind without you bothering her." Jamie yelled.
"I am not harassing her!" David shouted back.
"Guys, stop fighting." I calmly said, looking around for Tom and my team.
"Well, tell her to leave me alone!" David argued.
"Jai, stop it." I replied, eventually finding my team at the back of the crowd.
"It is not my fault!" Jamie said, hanging back with me.
"It so is." David whispered back, as I sighed.
"You are acting like children! Stop it! You need to work together on this." I said, joining my team.
"Mission on. Now, David, you're going to go and make sure Flatley doesn't get suspicious. Jamie, you're going with us and Justin to the Helberg. Demi, you're with Tom on surveillance." Dan said.
"Got it." David said, running after the crowd.
"Enter using the air duct on the side of the building, when you get there we'll guide you." Tom said, as we all went our separate ways. We made it to the van in a few minutes, and set up quickly. "You OK?" Tom asked.
"I'm fine." I lied.
"I know you're lying. What's wrong?" Tom said, as I sat next to him.
"It doesn't matter." I said, smiling. Tom stared at me disbelievingly, so I added, "Honestly, it doesn't matter."
"I won't give up until you tell me." He said.
"We should be focussing on the mission." I replied.
"Not until you tell me what's wrong." He insisted.
"And I said, it doesn't matter. " I said, putting in my earpiece.
"Fine, I give in. You can tell me anything Demi, remember that." He said, pulling up the computer screen. I nodded as my thoughts drifted. Before I left, I had asked Patterson to find out as much as he could about my 'sibling' Samantha. I wondered how he was getting on.
Patterson's POV
Well, hacking the MI9 database was fine! Seriously, that was the easy bit. Finding anything about this 'Samantha' was the difficult bit. Basically anything outside of Demi's file had been wiped or had high clearance access only.
I'd been looking for about two hours when I eventually was able to get into a small file about this girl. She was a result of Operation Violet, whatever that was, and had been send to jail for breaking and entering two months ago. Well, that's where I'd find her. What was Operation Violet? I searched it, and opened up a 'confidential' file. I chuckled slightly. It's not confidential anymore.
Hours passed as I read about this project ran by a Doctor Clarke, and how when it was interrupted by MI9, two patients out of hundreds survived. Subject 621 and 622. But this all happened 30 years ago! How was Demi and 'Sam' linked to all this? I lay back on the bench I was sat on, and thought about all this. I reached the end of the file, and discovered that Doctor Clarke had left all his research to his granddaughter, who was 5 at the time. Well that's weird. Why would you leave research that could possibly destroy the world to a five year old? And when I read the name of his granddaughter, it made sense. I sprung up off the bench, scaring some old woman opposite me feeding the ducks. Instead of apologising like a normal person, I ran off, taking the laptop with me. I needed to find a pay-phone. I eventually found one on the corner of the street. I entered, and dialled Frank's number. "Hello? Who is this?" He answered.
"This is Harry. I know you want to arrest me, but listen. What do you know about Operation Violet?" I asked.
"That's a really old case. Some mad scientist made a machine that could cause the Solar System to collapse on itself. Why?" He asked.
"Demi read her file. She is convinced she's dangerous. Clarke left his research to his granddaughter. A five year old. Does that not strike you as a bit odd?" I said.
"A bit. Look, what does this have to do with anything?"
"Because that five year old was Amelia Hudgens! She's after Demi to activate Clarke's machine! She's managed to fix whatever was wrong with the machine in the first place! You need to keep Demi and Amanda safe. And you need to find a girl called Samantha Hudgens. Amy will probably be after her too! If you want to save the world, do as I say!"
AN: And I'm going to end it here! Thanks for reading! So, I hope you enjoyed!
