AN: I do not own MI High, or anything else you recognise. I just own Demi, Jamie, David, Patterson, Amy and Amanda.
Demi's POV
After 10 minutes of convincing the guards that I was not going the break the Grandmaster out, they let me in. He glanced up at me, and said, "What do you want?"
"I want to know where I'd find James Sanders." I said walking up to the bars.
"Who?" He asked.
"You know all too well. James Sanders."
"Oh him. He left. Well, I kicked him out after I found out that he worked for MI9. I haven't seen him since." He said.
"You expect me to believe that?" I asked.
"It's the truth." He replied. I sighed. This had been a waste of time. I was no closer to finding him. I went to leave when he called, "Does your father know you're here?"
"What does it matter?" I asked.
"I know how protective he was over you when you were younger. I remember the first time you and your team fought me. How old were you?"
"I was 10. My dad didn't trust me to go out, so he made sure my leader looked after me. It feels like so long ago." I said, remembering it all.
"Your mother would be so proud." He coldly said.
"You knew my mother?" I asked.
"Everyone who was in the business knew your mother. She contacted the majority of us to track you down. Amelia was her name, wasn't it?" He asked. I nodded. "Your father should be careful. If he wants you to live that is." He added.
"Thanks for the info." I said, turning and going to leave again.
"Geneva." He said.
"What about it?" I asked.
"He went to Geneva about half a year ago. The man you're looking for."
"Thank you." I said, leaving. I don't know why he decided to help me, but he did. I left the building, and headed back to school. Finding Jamie's dad now seemed a heck of a lot easier.
"Geneva?" Jamie asked, as we sat at lunch. David looked shocked. "Where's that?"
"Switzerland." I answered.
"What is he doing there?" David asked.
"How am I meant to know? But if we know where he is, you can go and find him!" I said, as my pencil flashed. "I have to go. See you later." I muttered getting up, and began heading to HQ. I found my team stood around my locker, with the Grand Duke? "What did I miss?" I asked, as everyone looked at me, looking away from the Grand Duke.
"We found out who was sending the Duke the threatening letters, his bodyguard. So until we can send him home, we have to look after him." Tom explained.
"Do you really think people will think that I'm just a peasant?" The Duke asked.
"If you don't call them that, possibly." I answered.
"Who even are you?" He asked looking at me.
"My name's Demi. Nice to meet you, I'm sure." I replied.
"Did you find who you were looking for?" Tom asked. I nodded.
"Kind of. I know where he is, it's up to Jamie to go and get him though." I replied. "Where's Zoe?" I asked, noticing her absence.
"She went to go and find her sister." Dan said. I nodded, and said,
"I have to go. See you guys later."
Patterson's POV.
Is it possible to lose a person if you're the only people for miles? Somehow, I've managed to lose Sam and Amanda. I'm a genius, I know. Give me my Nobel prize now. I'd been looking for ages, and they were nowhere to be found. I swore quietly, and ran. What if Amy had found them? Demi would kill me if she had. I eventually made it to the town, and asked around. No one had seen them. People can't just disappear can they? Am I missing something? Is there a magician that can make people disappear into thin air? I returned to where I was staying and found a note stapled on my door.
Nice try Harry, but no one can play this game better than me. You don't even know the rules.
Amy xxx
I swore loudly, and hit the door in anger. I'd failed. I only had one job, look after them. Now, I had to tell Demi that Amy had both of her sisters. I ran my hand through my hair, and dropped to my knees. I thought about this for a minute. I'd seen Sam less than 30 minutes ago. I left the house to go and find them 20 minutes ago. Amy had to still be here. There was something wrong here. Amanda wouldn't just go with Amy, not after everything we've told her, and there was no way Amy could overpower Sam by herself. Something was really wrong. I looked up, and saw a figure running towards the town. I got up, and ran towards them, running as fast as I could, and putting in all my strength to bring them down. I caught up to them easily and tackled them, pinning them beneath me. I turned them over, and did a double take. "What the hell are you doing here?" I yelled. "You're meant to be dead!"
Demi's POV
I was walking with Jamie a few hours later, when Nicholas approached me. "Demi, I would like to apologise for my behaviour earlier." He then produced a bunch of flowers from behind his back. "These are for you." He said, offering them to me.
"Aww! Is he your new boyfriend Dems?" Jamie asked.
"What? No! He's someone my team are protecting. It's a long story." I said, before turning to Nicholas. "Thank you, that's really nice. I don't usually get flowers." I happily said, before hugging him. "Come on Jai. We have places to be." I said, walking off. Jamie ran up to me, and said,
"Well that was nice of him. Where are we going?"
"HQ. My pencil just went off. You're coming with me." I answered. She nodded, as we got in the lift, entering the base.
"Who got you flowers?" Dan asked as soon as I walked in.
"Her new boyfriend. I think his name's Nicholas?" Jamie replied.
"He is not my boyfriend Jai." I said, seeing the look on Tom's face.
"Nicholas got you flowers?" He asked.
"Yup. You jealous?" Jamie asked.
"Why would he be jealous?" I said, putting the flowers down. "They're just flowers."
"Yeah, whatever you say Dems." Jamie said.
"Shut it Jai. Or I will throw these flowers in your face." I replied.
"Oh, I'm so scared." Jamie said.
"Hang on, he didn't have enough time to go out and buy flowers." Dan interrupted.
"Yes, but Morgan, there's a thing now called 'Internet Shopping'. You can buy things online using Credit Cards." Jamie answered, causing Dan to glare at her.
"Exactly, Credit Card..." Tom trailed off, "Oh no."
"What?" Jamie asked.
"It'll be traceable." I explained.
"The order's gone. If the kidnappers have a genetic tracer, they'll be able to find him. They could be on their way here already." Tom said, looking away from the computer screen. "I'll cover the gates, Aneisha, Dan and Jamie search the school, Tom and Demi you do what you can online." My dad said, leading Dan, Aneisha and Jamie out of HQ.
"Sure, got it." I said, sitting at my desk.
"There's a lot of heat signatures coming from Flatley's office, I'd try there first." Tom said as the doors shut. As I scoured the map looking for anything unusual, my text alert went off.
Demi,
Amy has Sam and Amanda. Be Careful. I have taken down one of her henchmen. Do they seem familiar to you?
Patterson.
I opened up the attached file, and nearly jumped out of my seat. "Tom?" I said, handing him my phone.
"What?" He asked, looking at it. "But isn't that...?" I nodded.
"Somehow, someone can come back from the dead." I muttered. But, why were they helping Amy? That was what I didn't understand.
