XLV.
Everyone in the clearing heard the breathy whisper of thank you as the light began to dim. When it was faded enough that they could see Sesshomaru and Kouga turned back to where Kagome had been standing when it first began. Sesshomaru and Kouga both growled when they caught the scent.
Kagome snarled, "Oh shut up you two and get over it!"
Sesshomaru huffed, "You are to kind for your own good Kagome and one of these days it is going to get you into serious trouble."
Kouga on the other hand glared at the two bundles Kagome held, "Why does one smell like wolf?"
Kagome blushed, "Well my wish changed a few things so you see she is now a wolf yokai and he is now a full yokai."
Sesshomaru sighed knowing that there was no way he was going to get out of this and made his way over to his mate. He looked into a face he never thought to see again and released a low growl showing that they were accepted by him. Kouga grumbled but walked over to his sister and did the same knowing that if he did not he would hear about it later.
Kouga sighed and looked at Kagome, "So are you going to tell us what you wished for?"
Kagome smiled softly at the two pups that she held, "I wished for Inuyasha and Kikyo to have a new life together and for Inuyasha and Kohaku to have the childhood they never had."
Sesshomaru nodded his head as he looked at the slayer boy's body that was now breathing and healthy with life.
He focused back on his mate, "The jewel is gone now correct."
Kagome looked away from them and they both growled once more at her for trying to evade the question.
Kagome huffed knowing she would not get away without answering, "My wish was not completely unselfish so there was a penalty to pay in order for it to go the way it was supposed to."
Kouga looked at her with narrowed eyes, "What was the penalty Kagome and where is the jewel?"
