AN: OK, so I might have lied about last chapter being the last one. But, this can be the last one if you want it to be. Let me know if you want this to be the end, or for me to keep going with my own missions. I don't own MI High, or anything else you recognise. I just own Demi, Jamie, Patterson and Amy.
Demi's POV.
"Are you coming or not Dems?" He repeated.
"Demi? Aren't you coming? Your dad will be here in a minute!" Jamie yelled.
"Demi?" Patterson said. I stepped back from him and shook my head.
"I don't know. Don't rush me."
"If you're coming, we need to go now." Patterson said.
"Demi? What's going on?" Jamie asked.
"Nothing Jai. I'll be there in a minute." I yelled back.
"MI9 are here. I need to go." Patterson said. "Whether you're coming or not, I'm going." He turned and began to run off, as Stella appeared by my side.
"Arrest that man!" She yelled looking at Patterson. They caught him and brought him to Stella. "Finally. We've been looking for you for a long time."
"Stella, don't arrest him. He helped me and Jamie save the world and destroy the machine! He's a good guy, he's just got a weird way of showing it." I said, as Jamie wrapped her arms around him. "He is a dangerous criminal!" Stella replied.
"Yeah, a dangerous criminal who has saved the world numerous times. Surely that gives him some credit?" Jamie said.
"He kidnapped an MI9 agent, and almost caused the death of another. No, that does not earn him 'credit'." Stella replied.
"Stella, let him go." Jamie said, still clinging to him.
"Stella, please. Harry might not be perfect, but he's been there for me when no one else has. I owe him for that. Please let him go." I begged. She sighed, and said,
"Fine. Let him go."
"Thank you so much!" Jamie cried, flinging her arms around her, before stepping back. "Sorry, emotions got the better of me." She said, looking down awkwardly.
"Thank you." I calmly said, as Harry was released by the MI9 agents.
"We both know why you let me go Agent Knight. You think she can't see it? She's young not stupid." Patterson said, hugging Jamie.
"What's he talking about?" I asked.
"It doesn't matter." Stella replied.
"Really? You don't think she deserves to know?" Patterson asked.
"Know what?" I asked. "Harry, what's going on?"
"Nothing. Don't do this here Patterson or I'll have you arrested." Stella threatened.
"Fine, but she'll find out, one way or another. " Patterson shrugged.
"Go and find your father Demietra, I know he was looking for you." Stella said, turning to me.
"Don't call me that. Only my mother calls me that." I muttered as Harry rolled his eyes.
"I'm out of here. You coming or not Demi?" He asked. I shook my head, looking down.
"I can't. Not now." I replied.
"Fair enough, I think you made a good choice. See you around Demietra." He answered, smirking.
"Shut up Patterson." Jamie responded, joining my side.
"Never Jamie." He replied, before running off into the night.
"Do you think we'll see him again?" She asked.
"I think so. I don't think even Stella would be able to keep him away." I said, hugging her.
"I hope so. Anyway, come on, let's go find your dad." She said, as we walked off together towards the forest.
"Demi! You're OK." My dad said, upon spotting me. He hugged me tightly and said, "Tom was worried about you when you weren't there after the KORPS building exploded. We both thought..." He trailed off, tears beginning to form in his eyes. "Then Stella got a call saying you had been sighted with Patterson and Jamie here. Wherever here is. What were you doing?"
"It's over. Amy's been arrested, and we saved the world, all of us. Without Patterson, it wouldn't have happened. Amy would have caused the Solar System to implode. I owe him now." I replied. "Where's Tom?"
"He's back at HQ with the others. Well at least that's where I told him to go." My dad answered.
"Do you really think we'd go back to school when one of our teammates could be in danger?" Dan's voice said behind him. He turned and saw Dan, Aneisha, Zoe and Tom stood together. "Good to know you have my back guys." I said, hugging Dan and then Zoe. "You OK now?" I asked. She nodded and replied,
"I'm a bit scared, but I'll be OK. KORPS can't have me."
"That's good. We need you." I responded, high-fiving Aneisha. Then I turned to Tom.
"Are you OK? Amy didn't hurt you did she?" He asked. I shook my head, and he tightly hugged me. "Please don't run off like that. I thought you were dead." He said, wrapping a lock of my hair around his finger, and kissing me passionately. I put my arms around his shoulders, and entangled my hands in his hair. "God guys, stop it. I think I'm going to puke." Jamie said, making fake retching sounds.
"You're just jealous." I responded, rolling my eyes at her.
"Oh totally. I'm jealous because I have no one to make out with." She joked, looking at Dan. "Nope, definitely not." She said, laughing. I laughed with her, before looking back at Tom. "I promise never to do that again." I replied, as he nodded. He kissed my forehead, and put his arm around my shoulders.
"Come on. Let's go home." He said, and I smiled.
"I'm glad this is all over. I never have to see that psycho ever again." I said as I walked down the hill, not knowing that watching in the hills was someone. Someone much more dangerous than Amy could ever be. "On the contrary Demietra, it's only just begun." They whispered, before turning and walking off into the endless night.
