Chapter 4

Pink, orange, purple, red, and yellow filled the sky as the sun slowly made its presence in the sky. A red and white blur flew across the landscape, running, jumping, and hopping from tree to tree never once staying in one spot for too long. Further out in the distance beyond the trees and wilderness, a lone house stood invisible to the naked eye. It's structure was that was that of an traditional Japanese mansion, its architecture magnificent in its brilliance.

In front of it stood a figure dressed in red, his white colored hair blowing in the chilling breeze of that caused by the rising sun. Golden colored eyes stared nonchalantly at the house standing in front of him before malevolent smirk appeared in his handsome face. Uncaring of the damage it will cause him, he dashed across the courtyard in the blink of an eye, breaking through the houses defenses; he only had one goal only and one alone: kill all who did him or his family wrong.

Inuyasha stood amongst the rubble of the house that has been in his family for generations, the blood of the people who once lived there splattered on the walls and floor, the bodies he had found were either burned to a crisp or unrecognizable. He mentioned to the other two that were with him over to him and pointed to one of the few walls left standing.

"Do you have any idea what this means?' he asked pointing to the unrecognizable script drawn in blood.

"No idea, I'll look further into it once I'm home," a woman with light blue hair and brown eyes said as she took pictures of the script in all types of angles. Her partner had hair as dark as night and eyes the color of blood, he took in the scene with a calm that would have chilled Inuyasha to the core if he wasn't used to it by now.

"I'll say whoever did this-" he stopped when he heard a groan coming from his right. He mentioned for the others to be quiet with a signal and waited for any other noise. This time when it happened again he was able to pinpoint where it came from and make his way over, in his path laid a pile of burnt down wood.

He carefully removed the wood from the floor until there was barely any left, this time the noise was much louder than before. This time when he pulled one of the fallen board he was graced with a face, the face of a little human girl that could be no older than 12.

"Fuck! Levy call Wendy we have a survivor, and by the looks of it, it ain't pretty!"

"On it!"

"Who in blazin' name did this?" He carefully removed the rest of the fallen roof from her and held her close to him as if to shield her from all carnage that seemed to surround any member related to the Tsukuyomi family. A couple minutes later footsteps approached his position and he looked up to see a woman with dark blue hair, light brown eyes, and dressed in green and blue running toward him. She stopped in front of him, dropped to her knees and put her hands over her small body the injuries she suffered from instantly being to heal.

"Her name is Kasumi the heir to the Takanashi line. She is- as to date- the last remaining member of the Takanashi family." She pulled her hands away once she was sure all the major wounds were healed and she wouldn't die from any minor injury.

"How long do you think she'll be unconscious?" Inuyasha asked appearing next to them. He had his phone in hand and was texting the details of the incident to his father.

"Another day or two," Wendy responded standing up from where she was kneeling at. She took in all that was around her with quick eyes before they rested on Kasumi once again.

"This is too much of an inconvenience to be an accident. I'm guessing this relates back to the Housen incident a month back and the Hitotose one a few days ago," Inuyasha stated with a scowl in place. 'Whoever did this is hitting too close to home for my taste' he thought, listing all the names connected to his family and crossing out the ones that had been wiped out most recently and realized that all of the attacks have been going in a pattern.

"Head out, we'll regroup in three days time."
