who got on better with Mikael and Esther amongst you? Just asking because my parents totally favour my younger brothers over me and I was wondering if Rebekah was their favourite because she's the youngest (except for Henrik of course). :(

I can completely relate to your situation, my childhood household was plagued with favouritism from its foundation. From what I remember, my father tended to favour Rebekah, presumably because she was the only girl and hence devoid of sibling competition, whilst my mother appeared to prefer my elder brothers Finn and Elijah, as to which was her favourite I cannot be sure, I only know it wasn't me. She was enamoured by Henrik it is true, he was after her little baby, only 10 when he died, and naturally his death devastated her as it did us all.

From what I can recall, there was an age divide among our family whereby whilst still young children we spent more time with our mother, learning basic witchcraft, assisting in household chores etc. Once we grew older our father expected us to begin hunting with him, meaning favouritism was essentially based on our skills us hunters or witches and did not relate to age. Finn showed talent in both, but preferred my mother's company, I was more inclined towards hunting truth be told I enjoyed my Father's lessons though I feel like my felt that I wasted my skills in witchcraft. Klaus never had patience with witchcraft, and unfortunately is hunting skills were sub pair for a good portion of his childhood. Rebekah was in a different position, Mikeal never expected her to hunt or fight but as you know she bares a raw inner strength and determination that desired his respect.

Honestly no, I hadn't considered it. I thought that the straight was kind of girlish, plus I haven't had a great deal of time to worry about straightening it every morning now that I'm in collage. Maybe I should it start doing it again though, do you really think it looks better like that?
