The rest of the journey back to earth was uneventful. Bulma slept peacefully for a majority of it, while Goku tried to keep himself a little busier. First he ate a large lunch, deliciously prepared by Chef-Bot, and then he walked around the ship for a little bit before climbing down the ladder into the training room. Here, he knew he would be able to sort out his feelings towards both Bulma and ChiChi. Goku began his training, but he wasn't thinking of the powerful kicks and punches, and he wasn't focusing on his speed or control either.

I've got to break things off with ChiChi. He thought, there is no way that I can even look at her after what I've done here with Bulma, I especially can't marry her! Goku argued with his guilt, and his promise, and his feelings. He was supposed to be with ChiChi. Since they were children that was the plan. But he couldn't get the beautiful image of Bulma's bright blue eyes gazing up at him out of his head. Goku shook his head as his thoughts traveled to the rest of Bulma; the parts of her that were new to him.

Forcing his thoughts back to ChiChi, Goku pondered his choice. Did Bulma want to be with him? Or was she still planning on being with Yamcha? He knew he couldn't stay with ChiChi just because Bulma might stay with Yamcha. That would be more selfish than he could manage. But he wasn't really sure if he could manage to watch Bulma be happy with anyone else. As he thought of it, images of Bulma and Yamcha flooded his mind, pictures of Yamcha touching her the way he had, and a burst of rage ignited through him briefly, making him see red "Ugh!" Goku let out a loud groan before throwing a fist into the floor, and panting. Crouched down in his current position he ran his fingers through his coarse, spiky hair and sighed. No way... The thought was quiet but powerful. No way! More forceful now.

Clearing his mind with a deep sigh, Goku began to meditate. This would help. It would at least keep him calm.

Some time passed and Bulma woke up, looked around and wondered where Goku was. After checking the kitchen with little success, she knew where he had to be. Training, of course. Quickly, she gathered her clothes off of the floor and put them back on before climbing down the ladder into the training area of the ship.

Goku was hyper-aware of Bulma's presence the second her bare foot touched the first rung on the ladder and his previously relaxed body went rigid, breaking his state of meditation. He stayed silent when she addressed him, trying to regain his focus.

"Hey Goku, what are you doing?" Her voice made his neck itch to turn and face her, but he resisted. Thinking he hadn't heard her, she added "You're so quiet down here." She almost whispered, getting the feeling that she was interrupting. After a deep breath, Goku turned to face her, smiling widely.

"Oh I was just trying to get some training in before we land." She set fire to his senses like nothing he had ever experienced before. He felt pretty positive that this wasn't normal, or else other men would never be able to function properly.

They exchanged a brief smile before the ships speakers announced "please be seated. We are approaching Earth's atmosphere." The speakers clicked off, and Bulma stared at them horrified for a brief moment before Goku stood. "We better go up there." He said kindly, before gesturing for her to proceed up the stairs. He floated up silently behind her, and together they walked to their seats.

Bulma stared pointedly at the control panel of the ship,.her mind racing. She spent way more time sleeping than thinking, and she had no clue how to handle Yamcha. Or Goku. The ship shuddered around them as it broke through that atmosphere.

Bracing themselves for the descent, both Bulma and Goku gripped their seats, and their eyes found each other briefly. They were not afraid. They were used to space travel. They were worried. "Goku, what are we going to do?" Bulma shouted to him, sounding over the shaking of the ship.

Goku's face was resolute. He had decided during his meditation what his choice would be. Staring her straight into her eyes, he said "I'm going to make this work with you." And his son-smile spread across his face, not even phased by the hurtling ship around them, and Bulma couldn't help but grin in return before returning her gaze to the control panel. She was going to make it work too.

Within minutes, the ship slowed and hovered down to the ground, landing in the middle of a wide open plain. All of their friends were waiting for them as they approached the doorway.

"But we need to move slowly. Don't do anything yet." Her blue eyes just stared up at him, and Goku took a moment to kiss her. "Unless you have to..." He whispered. His breath on her face made her shudder, and the severe expression on his face as he pulled away made her nervous. If she had to?

Goku reached across Bulma to press the button to open the door to the ship, and Bulma realized what he meant. "With Yam-" she started to ask, but he cut her off with a curt nod, then they smiled, and looked out to all of their friends that were waiting.
