Valentines day.

Turning onto her side, Clarisse stretched out her arm for Joe, who she thought was laying beside her, only he wasn't there. Opening her eyes she couldn't help but smile when she saw a red rose laying on his pillow, reaching out for it she saw a note was attached. Twirling the rose around the tip of her nose with a content sigh as she read the note to herself.

"Happy Valentines day beautiful." She smiled and lifted her hand, to look at the rose.

"Ahh good, you are awake." Joe said smiling as he came into the bedroom carrying a tray, watching as she sat up.

"Only just." She said smiling and watched him place the tray on the bed "What's this?" She asked looking at him as he sat on his side of the bed.

"Breakfast for two." He smiled putting his arm around her waist, kissing her a couple times before sitting back.

"Aww thank you." She smiled and watched as he grabbed the fork, putting some scrambled eggs on it.

"Try this, I think it's done just how you like it." He said smiling as he moved his other hand up under the fork and moved it towards her, watching as she took it in her mouth, slowly pulling her head back as she closed her eyes.

"Mmm..." She smiled and nodded while looking at him "That is done just how I like them, thank you." She smiled.

"Good." He grinned, watching her as she sipped some juice.

After having breakfast in bed together, they both got ready for the day and as Clarisse sat doing her hair, deciding that she wasn't going to bother with her makeup just yet, Joe headed downstairs.

Walking through to the kitchen a short time later, Clarisse stopped as Joe turned to face her, handing her a cup of coffee.

"Coffee," He smiled and kissed her cheek while passing her the cup then motioned towards the kitchen table "And some very beautiful flowers, just for you." He smiled and watched her walk over to them.

"They are very beautiful, thank you darling." She smiled over at him before leaning over and smelt the flowers "Mm they smell good." She said standing up straight and held the cup in both her hands as she took a couple sips.

"Good." He smiled over at her "Are you driving yourself today?" He asked going through some papers.

"Yes I am, and I was thinking perhaps maybe we could meet here for lunch?" She asked while sitting at the counter.

"Lunch sounds good, and tonight I plan on cooking you a very romantic meal." He smiled.

"Where?" She asked.

"Here." He answered.

"Well won't Lena be here?" She asked and watched him shake his head.

"She's still at Alyssa's until tomorrow." He smiled.

"Ahh I see." She smiled "Well now I can't wait." She giggled as he stood beside her "I wish I didn't have to go to the Palace today." She said turning on the stool and studied his face.

"I wish you didn't have too either, but it needs to be done." He smiled, leaning closer and pressed his lips to hers as she closed her eyes.

Moving his hand up her arm, resting it on the side of her neck as he deepened the kiss, pulling back seconds later when they heard a gasp, making them both look towards the kitchen door.

"Rose." He exclaimed.

"Please don't shout." She whispered, grabbing a cup and poured herself some coffee.

"Ah." He said with a nod and looked at Clarisse as she sat smirking and turned back to sit at the counter properly.

"I think someone has a hangover this morning." Clarisse said smiling as Rose walked over to the table "Good night, was it?" She asked.

"Yes it was brilliant... I think." Rose answered and sipped her coffee, spitting it back in the cup straight after "I think..." She said putting the cup down and hurried out the room.

"Oh dear..." Clarisse said seeing the door close, then looked back at Joe "I guess she really is hungover." Clarisse smiled and looked at the television "Um.. Joe why do you have eggs with that woman on for?" She asked and watched him lean back against the counter while putting his hands back on the edge.

"I don't know really, I just put it on for something to have on in the background." He answered looking towards her "I was meant too..." Stopping when she interrupted him.

"Shh..." She exclaimed and pointed to the telly, grabbing the remote to turn it up just as a photo of Rose popped up on the screen with Cara making out with some guy in the background.

"I'm sure the Queen won't be impressed this morning when she wakes to find that her two stepdaughters, Cara and Rose Elizondo enjoyed a very active night out last night, both were spotted, with company, leaving a night club just after 3 this morning."

"What?" Joe exclaimed and looked towards the door as Rose came back in "What?"

"What?" Rose answered and noticed Clarisse was looking over at her "What did I do?" She asked.

"Please tell me you and Cara came home alone last night?" Joe asked.

"Um... I know I did." Rose answered while looking down.

"Rose..." Clarisse exclaimed with a warning in her voice "Please tell me Cara came home alone too?" She exclaimed.

"I don't know..." Rose said looking up "I can't remember." She said looking at her then at Joe "I'm sorry."

"I hope to god she did." He said walking out the kitchen.

"Joe." Clarisse exclaimed quickly following him "You can't go storming in her room, she will go crazy." She said and watched him stop at the bottom of the stairs as Rose came out.

"Daddy, if she did bring someone home he's not a stranger." Rose said as Joe looked over at her "She's been friends with him for years, in fact they even dated once." She said as Clarisse looked at her.

"What's all the noise about?" Cara said as she started coming down the stairs while doing up her robe, followed by her friend.

"I want a word with you young lady." Joe said while looking at her.

"Joe?" Clarisse whispered and shook her head as he looked at her.

"Okay..." Cara said and carried on down the stairs, seeing her friend out.

"Go in the kitchen with Rose, I will see you in a minute." Joe said gently judging them to go in the kitchen.

"Don't get to mad at her." Clarisse whispered.

"She broke the rules Clari, needless to say I am pretty mad right now." He said and watched her folding her arms "Just please go in the kitchen."

"Fine." Clarisse answered and walked in the kitchen.

After a few moments Rose looked at Clarisse after hearing Joe raise his voice.

"He really is mad, isn't he?" Rose asked.

"Yes he is." Clarisse said looking at her "I know she's old enough to do and see who she wants Rose, but to bring this person back here after we agreed to let her move back on the condition of not doing this, breaks the rules and yes I know it may sound silly, but we don't know who this person is..."

"And with you being who you are?" Rose asked and watched as Clarisse nodded "I understand." She said nodding.

A short time later, Joe appeared as Cara headed back upstairs.

"I think I am going to go up to my room, try and get some more sleep." Rose said and hurried out the room.

"I told her that if she's going to start doing that then she needs to find her own place." He said starting to clean up the kitchen.

"Don't you think that was a little bit harsh?" Clarisse asked and looked at him in surprise as he spun around.

"I don't care that she knows him, or even dated him... when we agreed that she could come back home, we told her that we didn't want this sort of thing to happen... she may know him but we don't, we don't know what he's like..." He said looking at Clarisse "I am just trying to protect my family and you, that behavior isn't acceptable in this house." He said shaking his head and carried on with what he was doing.

"Joe..." Clarisse whispered while walking over to him, putting her hand on his back as he looked at her.

"I'm sorry Clari, she just made me so mad." He said looking at her, feeling her put her hand up on his jaw as she stepped closer and pressed her lips to his. As things just started getting heated between them, Cara appeared in the doorway and cleared her throat to get their attention.

"Can I speak with you, to the both of you?" She asked as they stepped apart.

"Of course you can." Clarisse answered with a nod and turned to her "What would you like to talk to us about?" She asked.

"Well Daddy was right, it was wrong of me to bring a friend home." Cara said softly while looking down "I know I crossed the line and for that I am sorry." She said looking up at her "I know you don't know him, and even if I told you that he wouldn't hurt you, it wouldn't be enough. I know you guys said that I couldn't bring any male friends home because of who you are and for that I am truly sorry, I hope that you can both forgive me." She said looking Clarisse in the eyes.

"You promise it won't happen again?" Clarisse asked and watched her nodding.

"I promise." She said, never taking her eyes from Clarisse.

"Then okay you are forgiven." Clarisse said smiling at her as Joe stood back with a sigh.

"Thank you." Cara said with a small nod "I'm going to go back upstairs now." She said with a small smile and started walking out.

"Okay." Clarisse smiled and sipped her coffee.

"What was that?" Joe asked looking at Clarisse as she turned to him.

"What?" She asked "She asked for forgiveness so I gave it her, she was sorry Joe we can't stay mad at her..." She said and watched him shake his head.

"You are too soft, do you know that? She's basically got away with it now." He said folding his arms.

"Oh come on she's learned her lesson, I'm sure she won't do it again." Clarisse said watching him and drank some more of her coffee.

"Yes she's learned her lesson, for now. But she promised she wouldn't do it in the first place and she did." He said looking at her as she lowered her hands

"Oh come on Joe, did you always follow the rules when you were growing up? Because I know I didn't..." She said smiling "Let her live a little Joe... she does deserve to be happy." She said folding her arms like him "And please stop being grumpy or I won't come back for lunch." She said and laughed a little "Anyway I need to get going, am I still coming home for lunch or not?" She asked and watched him just stand looking at her "Fine, then I will see you tonight." She said sighing as she walked through to the foyer, gathering up her purse, papers and laptop bag.

Walking over to the door, she felt a hand on her back making her turn to see Joe stood beside her.

"Of course I want you to come home for lunch." He whispered, unaware that Cara and Rose were stood watching from the top of the stairs "I will see you around 12?" He asked.

"Yes you will." She said nodding with a smile "And don't worry about Cara, everything will be fine." She smiled and reached up, kissing his cheek then stepped back "See you later."

"Wait." He exclaimed, taking her by surprise.

"Whats the matter?" She asked.

"I love you." He whispered, kissing her.

"I love you too." She smiled and watched him step back "See you this afternoon." She said smiling and started walking out the door.

"Yes you will, I will be here." He said smiling at her as she headed down to her car.

Waving her goodbye before stepping back, closing the door gently before turning and walked back into the kitchen as Cara and Rose looked at each other.

After spending the morning at the Palace going over paperwork and signing what needed to be signed Clarisse grabbed her purse, let Charlotte know she was leaving and headed to the store before going home for lunch with Joe. However when she started heading back to her car she was shocked to find that someone had driven right into the back of hers.

And after phoning the insurance company and getting the details she needed she called Pierre to come pick her up. Arriving a short time later just as they loaded her car onto the pick up truck, he sat watching as she walked towards his car and climbed in.

"Thank you for picking me up." She said doing up her seat belt.

"It's okay, but what happened?" He asked looking at her car then at her.

"A car crashed into mine." She said looking at him.

"Please tell me you weren't inside at the time?" He asked as they started driving away.

"No I was in the store." She said looking out the window as her phone started ringing, seeing it was Joe she pressed busy and put it back in her bag.

"I got to ask though, why did you call me and not Dad?" He asked looking at her for a second.

"Do you not know your Dad?" She said looking at him "He will go crazy, he already hates that I am driving myself around and this will just make him more madder than what he already is today."

"Because of Cara?" He asked and watched her as she nodded "Well Mom, he is going to find out sooner or later, so you are gonna have to tell him." He said not taking his eyes from the road.

"I know, I just didn't want that time to be in the middle of the car park." She said staring blankly out the window.

"I see." He said looking at her then the road, then back at her as they came to stop at lights "Are you okay?" He asked and watched her look towards him.

"Of course." She nodded with a small smile "Pierre..."

"Yes?" He replied.

"The lights have changed." She said with a small laugh while pointing to the lights as he looked.

"Oh." He exclaimed and started driving as she laughed.

Arriving at the house a short time later, Clarisse waved him off before taking a deep breath and walked through the door.

"Joe." She called out.

"I'm upstairs." He said appearing at the top of the stairs "Where have you been?" He asked as she put her purse down on the table and started heading up the stairs "I tried to call you, several times actually."

"I know, I need to talk to you about that." She said coming to stand in front of him on the landing.

"What's wrong? What's happened?" He asked, panic in his voice.

"I went to the store on the way home and a car crashed into the back of mine." She said looking at him as he stepped closer.

"Um... I beg your pardon?" He exclaimed putting his hands up cupping her head in them "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He exclaimed in a panic.

"Joe I'm fine." She said with a nod and put her hands up on his wrists "I wasn't in the car at the time, it happened while I was in the store." She said and gasped in surprise as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders, pinning her body to his.

"Oh thank god." He whispered against her hair "Don't ever scare me like that again, please." He said and pulled his head back.

"I'm sorry." She whispered looking up at him.

"I'm so glad that you are okay." He said studying her face while putting his hands up, brushing them back through her hair and pressed his lips against hers as she put her hands up on his sides.

Standing at the top of the stairs for several moments, the kiss becoming heated when suddenly Joe pulled back and scooped her up in his arms, taking her by surprise as he carried her through to the bedroom.

Laying on her side a short time later Clarisse couldn't help but bite her bottom lip as she watched Joe laying on his back beside her, his breathing steady and his eyes closed.

"I know you're watching me." He whispered moments later, opening one eye while turning his head as she smiled.

"How do you know?" She asked as she pushed herself up, moving closer and lent on her arm as she put her other hand on his chest.

"I can feel your beautiful eyes on me." He smiled as she ran her fingers through his chest hair "Are you okay?" He asked moving his arm from between them, to around her.

"I am." She smiled "I was just surprised that you didn't hit the roof when I told you about the car, as I had prepared myself for that." She whispered.

"Well I didn't see the point, but if you had been in the car that would of been different." He said watching her as he started playing with her hair "I am just thankful that you weren't inside and are okay." He smiled as she nodded "I do think though that for a while you should let the Palace driver drive you places, or even me from now on." He said and looked at her.

"I understand." She whispered, leaning closer and rested her head on his chest while extending her arm around his waist.

"I love you so much Clarisse," He whispered against her forehead as he moved his hand to the back of her head "I can't bare the thought of anything happening to you." He whispered as she tipped her head back, looking up at him.

"I know." She whispered back before they shared a kiss.

After a few moments Clarisse sat up as Joe sighed.

"You're leaving me now, aren't you?" He asked.

"I am, I'm sorry." She said checking the time "I have a meeting very soon." She said turning to him "But I will need to be picked up this evening if you would like to do that?" She asked.

"Well of course I would." He said smiling "But how are you getting to the Palace now?" He asked, sitting up beside her.

"I arranged Pierre to have the driver come get me for 2." She smiled.

"Good." He smiled and kissed her a couple times before watching her climb from their bed and walk into the bathroom. Laying on his back seconds later when he heard the shower come on.

After Clarisse was ready she grabbed her blazer and headed into the bedroom just in time to see Joe pulling on a pair of boxers.

"Oh damn, I was just to late." She smiled over at him while slipping on her blazer, gasping and started laughing as he flashed her "Well now... I feel much better." She smiled.

"Good." He winked with a cheeky smile "What time do you need picking up?" He asked as the phone started ringing. Watching as Clarisse moved over to the night stand and grab the phone, hanging up moments later "You're driver?" He asked.

"Yes." She nodded "And I will need picking up about half 4, 5." She smiled as she walked over and stood in front of him.

"Great, then when we get home we will have the whole house to ourselves, where we can share a romantic dinner and do as we so please." He smiled wrapping his arms around her.

"Yes." She smiled up at him before reaching up to kiss him "I will see you later on." She smiled and headed towards the door.

Heading down the stairs just seconds later as Cara came through the lounge door.

"Oh hey Mom I didn't know you were home," She said looking towards the door then at her "I didn't see your car a little while ago."

"No it's not here." She smiled checking her purse.

"Oh." Cara said and watched her walk towards the door "Are you okay?"

"Of course darling, why wouldn't I be?" She asked with a smile and opened the door "See you tomorrow."

"Of course." Cara nodded and watched as she closed the door behind her. Shaking her head she headed to the kitchen.

When Clarisse arrived back at the Palace she learned that the meeting had been cancelled so she took the time to catch up on her paperwork. Hearing a knock at her door a short time later, she lifted her head and slipped off her glasses.

"Come in." She called out, watching as the door opened to see Charlotte "Afternoon darling."

"Afternoon Mom." She smiled while closing the door and hurried over to her "There is someone who wishes to speak with you." She said looking at her as she sat up straight.

"Who is this person?" She asked.

"A Charlie Davies, He said that you go way back and needs to talk with you about what happened earlier today." Charlotte said and noticed the color drain from Clarisse's face "Mom, are you okay?" She asked.

"Did you say... Char...lie Davies?" She asked and watched her nodding "Oh my." She said looking down.

"Are you okay?" She asked "If you don't want to see him that's not a problem."

"No no it's fine, I am just surprised that's all." She said standing up "Okay Charlotte," She nodded "Show him in, please."

"Are you sure?" Charlotte asked and watched as Clarisse nodded "Okay." She said and headed towards the door, knowing Clarisse had become nervous.

Clarisse began pacing the floor of her office, when moments later the door opened again she stopped and looked towards it. Seeing Charlie stood smiling towards her.

"Clarisse..." He smiled walking over to her as Charlotte raised her eyebrow in surprise "It's been a very long time." He added and kissed both her cheeks.

"Yes, yes it has." Clarisse said watching him step back "Um Charlotte, perhaps maybe you could bring us some tea?"

"Oh no tea for me please." Charlie exclaimed as both women looked at him "But I will go for a glass of water, if I may?" He asked.

"Of course." Clarisse nodded and looked towards Charlotte "A glass of water for Charlie then, and tea for me, please?" She asked and watched Charlotte as she nodded and walked out "Please Charlie, sit?" She said motioning to the chairs as she walked over and sat in one of the armchairs.

"Why thank you." He smiled and sat on the edge of the couch.

"Charlotte said that you are here regarding something that happened earlier today?" Clarisse asked.

"Yes, the car that crashed into the back of yours is one of my clients." He said as she rested her arms along the arm of the chair "And when he told me who owned the car he smashed into I knew I had to come over and see you." He smiled.

"I take it you're still a lawyer then?" She asked and watched him nodding "I thought you moved away?" She asked.

"I did, I moved to London for many years, just recently returned." He said as Charlotte came back in, placing the tray on the coffee table.

"Thank you Charlotte." Clarisse said smiling while sitting forward and took her cup and saucer from her then watched as she walked out "Okay, back to what you were saying, sorry." She said sitting back in her chair and sipped her tea.

"Oh well yes I just recently moved back after my divorce." He said looking towards her.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know." She said watching him as he put his glass down on the coffee table.

"Not many people do," He shrugged "Best way I think..." He said undoing the button on his jacket and sat back, to get more comfortable "Anyway, back to business..." He said as Clarisse nodded "When he called me earlier he was literally crying down the phone to me, telling me he was going to end up in jail for crashing into the Queen's car." He said as Clarisse couldn't help but laugh just a little.

"I'm sorry, that's not funny." She said trying to compose herself.

"No honestly I found it funny, after I managed to calm him down I told him I would come speak with you and beg you not to send him to jail." He said smiling over at her.

"I see." Clarisse said smiling "Maybe I should have him hung in the courtyard by his toes, instead?" She said messing around, and smiled when he laughed.

"Well that's different... things sure have changed since I was last around here." He said watching her.

"Yes, a lot has changed since you left." She said looking down as he watched.

"Clarisse, I have wanted to come back before but could never find the right time..." He said as she looked up at him "My heart broke for you when I heard about Philippe and Erica." He said watching as she lent over and put her cup and saucer down on the coffee table "I'm so sorry that happened to them and to your beautiful family."

"It's okay, it's just one of those things, you know?" She asked and watched him as he nodded.

"I do follow your news as much as I can, and I must admit I am happy that you found love with Joe again." He whispered and watched her slowly look up "He is a lucky guy."

"Thank you." She said nodding slightly and turned in her seat, crossing her legs "Enough about me though, please do tell me what's been happening in your life since you left Genovia?" She asked.

He nodded knowing she wanted a change of subject, knowing she had never changed and didn't want to push it he gladly agreed and went on to talk to her about everything that has gone on then got back to business with her, leaving an hour later.

Charlotte smiled as she headed into Clarisse's office with a huge bouquet of mixed color roses. Hearing the vase knocking the table as she put it down Clarisse looked up.

"I'm sorry I didn't realize the vase was that close to the table." Charlotte said looking over at Clarisse as she stood up and slipped off her glasses.

"That's okay." Clarisse smiled while walking over to her "These are beautiful, who are they for?"

"Um..." Charlotte said looking at the flowers then at her "For you, Mom." She said taking the card from the flowers and handed it to her "Joe's really spoiling you today huh?" She smiled and walked over to her desk, clearing up some papers.

"Joe's already got me flowers, back at the house." Clarisse said looking over at Charlotte as she looked over at her.

"Oh maybe they are from a secret admirer then." Charlotte smiled and watched Clarisse turn back to the flowers "Maybe the card will tell you." She said looking back down at the paperwork.

"Maybe they are from Pierre." Clarisse said opening the envelope.

"Good point actually, maybe they are.. or even your Father?" Charlotte said looking over at her as she nodded, pulling out the card.

"It was lovely seeing you again today, here's my number call me sometime and we can arrange a lunch date or something. Take care, love Charlie." Clarisse whispered to herself as she looked down at the card.

"Who are they from?" Charlotte asked while walking over to her.

"Oh, Charlie." She said ripping up the card "Would you like some flowers?" She asked and turned to walk over to the desk, dropping the ripped up card in the bin and sat back down behind her desk.

"Oh..." Charlotte said looking at her then at the flowers "I think they sit so nicely in your office, maybe we should keep them here." She said looking towards Clarisse as she put her glasses back on.

"I couldn't care less about them Charlotte," Clarisse said looking towards her as Joe appeared in the doorway.

"Couldn't care less about what?" He asked and noticed the flowers "Oh what pretty roses." He said smiling and walked over to them.

"That will be all Charlotte, thank you." Clarisse said standing up.

"Very well Mom." She said with a nod and walked out.

"Who are they from?" Joe said looking over at her as she walked over to him.

"Oh from an old friend." She said with a shrug "He came here earlier, one of his clients crashed into my car."

"What? Why would he come and see you for?" He exclaimed in surprise.

"Relax, its nothing bad..." She said "He's an old friend and when he found out it was my car, he came over to see me." She said "And to explain that his client was worried that I was going to have him sent to jail." She smiled "Besides, you are here early." She said walking back over to her desk.

"I know, I thought I would come see if you were finished early." He said watching her sit back at her desk then turned back to the flowers with a sigh.

"Okay well let me just finish this little pile of papers then I will be finished, okay?" She asked.

"Okay." He nodded, never taking his eyes from the roses.

After she was finished she gathered up her stuff and they headed home, and as Joe made a start on dinner Clarisse headed up to have a soak in the bath.

After they had had a lovely quiet dinner and everything was cleaned away, Joe disappeared upstairs. Standing in the doorway watching him for several moments before walking in and sat on the bed beside him.

"Are you sick?" Clarisse asked, turning slightly and looked at him.

"No." He said shaking his head.

"Then what's wrong?" She asked reaching her hand over, playing with his hair as he looked at her "You've been quiet all evening, I'm worried." She added as he looked back at his book.

Closing it just seconds later, he turned and took a deep breath looking at her.

"I have to ask you something..." He started.

"Okay." She said pulling her hand back.

"This person who got you these flowers, who is he?" He asked.

"Charlie Davies." Clarisse answered honestly.

"Your ex lawyer?" He exclaimed.

"Yes, my ex lawyer." Clarisse answered and watched him climb from the bed "He's a friend Joe."

"Oh yea sure, a friend who had a major crush on you and probably still does." He said walking over to the window, putting his arm up on the window frame.

"I know he did..." Clarisse answered and watched him turn around.

"You knew..." He said "Wait a minute... how did he become your ex lawyer?" He asked.

"Well I, um..." She started.

"Oh please tell me you are kidding me right now?" He exclaimed and watched her move to kneel in front of him.

"Joe it was after our divorce, I swear nothing happened while I was with you, it sort of happened a year after we broke up." She said sitting back on her legs as he started pacing the room.

"I don't like it and I don't like that he's giving you flowers..." He said stopping and put his hands on his hips.

"Joe nothing is going to happen, I'm with you." She said stepping from the bed.

"How long did it go on for?" He asked.

"5 or 6 years..." She said and watched him look down.

"I hate this..." He said shaking his head "How come you never told me."

"Joseph, I didn't think I needed too. What I did in my personal life was up to me, not you. We had divorced you know?" She exclaimed and folded her arms.

"Did the girls ever see him? Did he ever stay with you at the Palace?"

"Yes a few times, and of course the girls saw him." Clarisse answered.

"I suppose they called him Uncle Charlie." He said looking at her as she gasped.

"Stop it Joseph... Stop This Right Now!" She exclaimed and shook her head "Was I not allowed a personal life? A chance to be happy again after our divorce? You moved on and had Cara and Rose, why couldn't I?" Clarisse exclaimed.

"I just hate the idea of you being with someone else. I know we weren't together and it kills me we weren't and I hate the fact that someone else got to be with you." He whispered looking over at her as she slowly lowered her arms "I hate the fact I let you go, it kills me that I did." He said shaking his head and looked down.

"Listen to me Joe..." She said walking over and stood in front of him, cupping his face with both her hands, making him look up at her "This was in the past, it killed me that we divorced too but we have each other now and nothing is going to come between us, do you understand?" She asked, running her thumbs over his cheeks as he nodded "Okay." She said softly while stepping closer and wrapped her arms around his neck, giving him a hug.

"I love you so much Clari bear." He whispered in her hair before kissing her neck and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I love you too." She said pulling her head back "How about we call it a day?" She asked.

"Yea." He said lowering his head and kissed her for a moment before pulling his head back.

"What's wrong?" She asked as he rested his forehead against hers.

"I'm not really in the mood anymore." He whispered.

"That's okay, we can just snuggle?" She smiled.

"Okay." He nodded.

After getting ready they both settled in bed, snuggled together. Though after half an hour and sensing he still wasn't happy with the whole thing Clarisse rolled onto her back and turned on her side, so her back was too him. Staring out the window at the moon as the dark clouds rolled by, she felt movement behind her. Lifting her head she saw Joe walking out into the suite, closing the door behind him.

Sighing she rested her head back down and let a couple tears slip from her eyes. Turning back on her side she waited for him to return, however after an hour he still hadn't returned. So climbing from the bed she walked over to the door, slowly opening it to find him laying on the couch.

Walking slowly over, she realized that he was asleep so grabbing a spare blanket from the cupboard she placed it gently over him and kissed his forehead "I love you and I'm sorry." She whispered before turning off the lamp.

As she walked over to the bedroom door Joe opened his eyes and watched her disappear through to the bedroom. Turning onto his side, he sighed and closed his eyes.
