Pokѐmon Journey I: Violet's Trial
Chapter 29: The Second Rocket Hideout
Violet's Point of View:
The boys and I spent little time getting on our flying pokemon and heading after the scientist that took off in the speed boat. While the trainer that had previously helped us had given us an island location as to which one we had to go to and find him, we still didn't know which end of the island he was on. The boys and I figured out a plan to all split up and check different areas on the island, since there were three of them.
Vince was going to the very top of the island to check out a cave that apparently attacked some rare pokemon from time to time. He thought that the scientist might go there to find some pokemon to add to his team for more muscle or power, or just to train.
Alex offered to go to the forest just below that on the island. In the forest known as the Pattern Bush, Alex thought that the scientist could be hiding in there where he was still close to town, but was hidden enough and could hide among the trainers that were inside.
I choose to take the southern route that led down to an area called Ruin Valley, where an apparent set of ruins were. My theory was that the scientist was heading there not only to hide from others, but to look for one of the two remaining gems that still needed to be found, and what better place to have such an item then in a set of ruins? Though I could have been entirely wrong as well since our first gem we found was in the side of a volcano. But I was going to take a shot at it anyway.
Once we reached Six Isle and had a quick lunch, the boys went off in their own direction to the north while I headed to the south, flying on Amethyst and having half my team out with me (Amber and Chalcedony being the other two out with me) because this scientist looked like he could really hurt someone and cause a fuss after what he managed to do to those Rocket grunts on Five Isle.
The area to the south was much more mountainous then I had originally thought, which made it a good place for Amethyst to battle, hardly anything to burn other than her opponent. There were only a few patches of grass here and there along with a tree that had grown in the side of the rocks. A small, almost large puddle sized lake was at the bottom that the ruins sat in the middle of. Apparently the ruins had been called the Dotted Hole, or so what my map read.
More mountainous trainers that either brought ground, or rock, type pokemon seemed to be in the area. Most of them were up on high ledges looking out and over the area and camping out. It seemed I was the only one that was out of place with a team of multiple types of pokemon on me and myself not really being a hiker nor mountain climber.
Pokemon littered the area like always; there were also so many different types. I was pleased to say that while I was down there, I saw another couple new types. One of them had been a tiny bird that seemed that most of its body was actually its head. Its wings were extremely small compared to it as well as its talons. Its feathers on its head were green with white fears with a red pattern on them for its wings, along with a bit of black edging and yellow legs and talons. Its last features were its black eyes, and I often tended to see this pokemon just sitting somewhere and staring off into space. It never noticed me as I approached it and looked up its information.
Natu, the little bird pokemon. Because its wings aren't yet fully grown, it has to hop to get around. It is always staring at something. It usually forages for food on the ground, but may, on rare occasions, hope onto branches to peck at shoots. Natu nests can be quite common in their region, but only in Six Isle's Ruin Valley.
With another pokemon added to the pokedex, I smiled and moved onto another section.
I continued to ride on Amethyst along the paths that led to the Dotted Hole to make sure I left no stone unturned as I looked for that man. While searching however, a buzzing sound echoed above me in the air. I looked upward to the sky and at first, I saw nothing. After a moment or two however, thin, fly shaped, red-orange and white long bodies with reflective wings and large green eyes with small black pupils flew over the valley. Another pokemon that I'd never seen, I'd almost thought it was a swarm of beedril for a moment. I pulled out my pokedex again and looked at the other new pokemon I'd yet to see before.
Yanma, the clear wing pokemon. Its large eyes can scan three-hundred and sixty degrees. It looks in all directions to seek out its prey. It if flaps its wings really fast, it can generate shock waves that will shatter windows in the area. Yanma nests are few to none in this region and tend to only been seen in Six Isle's Ruin Valley.
Another pokemon had been added to the pokedex, I grinned as I realized that was more pages out of the way, and most likely more I'd get form the boys later once they got back together with me and compare notes.
But our priority wasn't the pokemon sightseeing (while it was a side feature), we had to go find this scientist, and apparently, the Dotted Hole was the only place left I'd yet to look in this valley.
I had Amethyst land before the door to the Dotted Hole and noted how old it was. It was a brighter white stone color and had markings on its door that was sealed tight. I pressed my fingers against the door and I felt lumps and indents into the stone. I blinked at that in question before I hurried to reach into my bag and pulled out a piece of paper and a pencil. I placed the paper over the bumps I felt and I pressed against it before I ran the pencil led over the area covered by pencil. Darker spots appeared on the pages in the way of a pattern and lighter spots, which I ended up poking holes through, for the indents. Six sets of dots in three clumps were next to each other as if it was a word.
I pulled back the piece of paper. It was a three letter word in the form of dots. I shook my head and felt along the door again for any other hint to guide me. I felt along the edges of the door this time around until I felt a thinned out part of the door, almost in the shape of a large 'x'. It went along the entire door.
I held the paper before my face again to look at the three letter word, then at the x on the door. After looking at it a few times or two, I pulled out another pokeball and called out Ruby next to me. Her golden eyes glared at the door before she looked over at me.
"Ruby, I need you to cut down the door, your blade exactly where I mark on the door where it's thinned out from this rock hard door." I walked up to the door and used my pencil to mark the outline that went from one corner of the door to the other, its center just under the word written there. I stood back and looked back over at my pokemon. "Have at it, girl!"
I jumped backward, more towards Amethyst, as Ruby leapt forward with her pincers swinging. All I saw was the flash of those large red pincers, before I saw the door was in four solid pieces that had fallen backward from the doorway. None of the stone had been damaged in the process; it was how great Ruby's accuracy was.
"Nice job, girl, thanks!" My pokemon nodded and walked inside with the rest of us. I had to return Amethyst since she was a tad too large to fit in the door way. Once inside, I took a glance around.
All the walls seemed to be made of the same material that the door and walls of this place had been made of. All some sort of an old white stone. It looked like time never passed through here, everything looked clean as if was frozen in time. There was only a ladder in this room that led down to a floor below. The hole seemed too small for Ruby so I returned her to her pokeball and kept her, Amethyst Zircon and Sapphire on standby while I climbed down to the next floor.
As I stepped down onto the next floor, I noticed that it all looked the same other than a couple factors. More ladders led down to other floors, but these ones were in the middle of the walls, all four of them. Also, a stone marker was in the center of the room. On the side I was facing I saw some more printing on it. Those same dotted indents that we saw before on the door to this place.
I walked up to it with my smaller pokemon with me. I ran my fingers over it and discovered it was a two letter word; the only one that came to mind however, was "up."
"I guess we have no choice then, it's our only clue, so up we go." My pokemon nervously looked at me, but followed my lead and headed to the path upward, past the stone marker. At the latter at the spot the stone marker had pointed to, I lowered myself down and ended up landing on solid ground. I sighed, but then groaned when I saw that there was another floor just like the last one, although this time, a different word was on the stone marker. I walked up to it and saw it was five letters this time, so I had the only option to assume it was "right."
I headed to that ladder and headed down again. I thankfully met solid ground, but I could hardly see a thing now that I was getting down further into the Dotted Hole. Amber jumped off my shoulder and lit sparks up on her body while Chalcedony also jumped onto the ground and the marks on his body lit up.
"Thanks, you guys." I nodded to them and walked over to the next stone marker in the room and read it. This time it was a four letter word this time, and I was in trouble.
Crap… I huffed at that. Now which way do I go?
I had two options this time, left and down. I couldn't tell which path would lead me further in, or to trouble. I had to make an even wilder guess than before.
"Alright then… let's try left." I walked over to that hole and grabbed the latter and started to make my way down. My eyes widened as I felt a strain on the ladder under my fingers and without warning, I felt it snap off the wall. I screamed as I fell, and I didn't feel a floor hit me.
"RAICHU!"
"UMBRE!"
I heard my pokemon scream out for me, but in my time of falling, I was momentarily frozen in fear. I head another screech then my own and I abruptly felt my body be caught by something. It felt thin and slick and it wrapped around my body. A blue glowing was above me and I saw it was some sort of blue gem on a pokemon's neck. I blinked a few times and soon my eyes adjusted to that light and I saw it was Zircon. He cried out softly to me and rubbed the side of my stunned face.
"I'm okay now, Zircon, thanks." He whined and rubbed my face before he pulled me back up to the level where the others were. My pokemon sighed as I was deposited back on the main floor and I breathed a heavy sigh. "I do not wanna go through that again."
"Raichu rai?" Amber jumped back up onto my shoulder and so did Chalcedony.
"I guess we have no other option then the other one," I kept my grip on Zircon however, "But I think I'll have Zircon lower me down to see if it's safe and there's actually a floor this time around."
I walked over to the other hole and my dragon wrapped his body around mine before he lowered me down inside, not bothering for me to grab the ladder. I let out a sigh of relief when I felt something beneath my feet and looked down to see that there was indeed a floor there. I sighed and had Zircon put me down and grab the other two above. While he did so, I looked over at the stone marker; it was also marked with a four letter word. Since there was a bottomless pit at the bottom of one of them, I had to assume that the same side we'd just come down through was going to be the tunnel in.
"This way, you guys!" I called to my other pokemon that were coming through the floor. As soon as I stepped over to the hole that I knew I had to go through, I was shocked to see that there was light down there, not day light, but another light entirely. It seemed to resonate from the center of the room which gave the room an intense light of blue over the white stone walls. I looked down through the hole and saw it was a large blue gem that glowed. It was the Sapphire! I'd found it!
I jumped down to the next floor and hurried over to grab the gem. It reflected back the image of my hands when I looked at it. It was beautiful…
"BRE!" I turned suddenly when I heard my umbreon scream and growl on my back. I could feel the stiffness of his body as his paws dug slightly into my shoulder. His muffled cries then hinted that he had something within his mouth. I froze for a moment as I saw that scientist that knocked out the Team Rocket members from earlier today. Chalcedony had the man's arm in his mouth and drew blood that dropped down onto to the floor.
"Damn pokemon…" I heard the man hiss. He threw his arm and Chalcedony was thrown off my shoulder and into the wall to the side. Zircon jumped out before me and Amber jumped onto my shoulder. I took the sapphire and dropped it down my shirt (the only logical place to put it in such a rush where I wouldn't lose it) before Chalcedony quickly got back to his feet and leapt back onto my shoulder with Amber.
Zircon grabbed me with his tail and flew up through the hole in the ceiling and raced off with me in his grip. I gasped when I felt a grip on my ankle and saw that the scientist had somehow grabbed onto me. I growled and tried to kick him off, but he managed to grab my other leg with his other hand.
I felt the rage of all my pokemon, but none so strongly as my fire type. She released herself from her pokeball and instantly sped on the wind after us. She used her rage attack to give her more power and to give me a hand in getting him off. I blew fire at his face and Amethyst threw her claws at him. He used the speed Zircon was using and the curves he was taking as he exited the Dotted Hole to his advantage to avoid our attacks.
I promptly gasped when I felt one of his hands leave my ankle and reached for my chest, where I had the gem. I swung my own claws at him, but somehow he deflected them I blew fire next and that seemed to be the thing that threw him off. When I got another look, I saw there were holes in his jacket now, and I could see the shiny metallic under it that looked a lot like metal. What? Is he a changeling, too? That would explain why he's so strong and fast!
I had no time to think much more as his hand shot up my shirt from under me and I flipped out and screamed when I felt his hand go under my bra as well. Chalcedony bit into his hand and caused him to flinch, but he kept his grip up.
"AMBER! USE THUNDER ON ALL OF US!" My electric type nodded and we were all blasted with electricity which finally managed to get the guy off me, shaking him off as well, but not before he'd grabbed the gem from in my bra or tearing both my shirt and bra right down the middle and exposing my chest. With what strength I had left, I covered my chest with my arms as we fell to the ground and crashed into the lake.
"Sorry, dear champion, but I'm afraid electricity didn't work on me," I saw him on the other side of the lake with a metallic body and clothes, "I'm a steel changeling, electricity doesn't work on me. Thank you for the gem as well." He laughed for a moment as I covered my chest and my pokemon huddled around me to protect and shield his eyes from my exposed body. From across the distance, I saw a slight hint of blood drop down from his nose. My eyes went wide and my face deep red at that.
"You pervert!"
"Now, now champion, I had no other choice," he gave me a malicious grin, "You did in fact put it down your shirt, now how else I was supposed to get it?"
"But did you really have to rip off my shirt and my bra?" I grabbed the ends of Alex's jacket and closed if before I pulled off the ripped clothing from underneath and sighed now that I was covered, but still had the lingering burn of humiliation. Once I was covered, I grabbed onto Amethyst who hovered over the water and helped to pull me and the others out.
"That was just for fun."
"You douche."
"Such foul language, Champion Violet, I never would have guessed you for a potty mouth." I growled as he laughed.
"Well, as much as I enjoy your humility and our wonderful chat, I must speak with dear Rose about getting into Team Rocket with this gem I've now obtained. But I think it would be more interesting if you were there."
He paced around the edge of the lake while keeping his eyes on me and my pokemon, "I knew you were waiting out in that field to ambush Team Rocket like I had for that password to their base. I just got lucky enough to get to them first… so here's the information you need. I plan to go there tonight, to Rose, and give her this gem in order to join her organization. I will also give you the password to get in there that I learned this afternoon, it's called Scarlet Waves!" He called out a pokeball and out came a few magneton that lifted him up into the air, "But you need two passwords to get into that base, so good luck finding the other!" he laughed as his pokemon carried him off and I glared the entire time until he was gone.
"…bastard."

Thanks to my pokemon, I was able to get back to the pokemon center and grab a spare set of clothes from my bag for a shirt and bra, sadly it was the strapless one that I used for dresses, but it would have to do for the time being, I'd have to bare through the pain.
Nurse Joy had been quite kind and kept all people that were here to see me away until I gathered my thoughts about what happened this afternoon. With the comfort of my pokemon, I tried to put my humility behind me. Nurse Joy often checked on me; giving me small bits of advice and help since she was a woman as well, and I was glad for it, because if my mother ever got word of that…
My thoughts were interrupted by a banging on the door from the hallway. It sounded heavily and had a lot of strength under it since I heard the door stress under it. Bruno must have come from One Isle, I was willing to bet someone else came with him, but they better not have all come to this island.
"Violet!" I heard the muffled voice of Lance on the other side of the door, "Open up!"
Bruno's banging on the door continued, the door would break if I didn't come out.
"Alright! Just calm down and wait a moment, I'll be out in a second." The banging stopped and I heard footsteps backing away from the door. I sighed and looked to my six pokemon with me. "Well, I guess we gotta face the music, guys." I returned most of my pokemon into my pokeballs other hen Amber and Chalcedony who climbed up into my arms and on the back of my shoulders.
I opened the door and as soon as I walked out, I was met with two concerned male faces. I sucked in a breath as the two of them looked me over before Bruno crossed his arms. "What the hell happened, Kid?"
"Just some guy that wants to get into Team Rocket," I sighed, "He stole the gem from me which was his ticket in. He's heading there tonight to finish the deal with Rose."
"And how did he get the gem off you?" Lance questioned me next, "It's not like you to let them get away so easily."
I felt the heat race to my face of the humility and embarrassment again. "Shut it."
"Easy Kid, what really happened? Nothing you say is gonna make us mad." Bruno patted my shoulder before he got a firm grip on it and forced me to look at him.
"Once you know you'll be mad, not at me, but at him, furious even."
"Just get it off your chest then." I sighed, but nodded and looked back at Bruno.
"The gem… we'd gotten away from the guy at first by flying upward out of the Dotted Hole. Once we were out, he'd grabbed a hold of my ankle to grab the gem… which I'd stuffed down my shirt."
Both adult males' eye brows rose in shock. "Come again?" Lance asked.
"I had the gem in my shirt, safely tucked in my bra actually, but… the scientist ripped both of them open, in the middle of the valley, and exposed my chest to him and anyone else there while he got the gem as well."
Both men didn't move and I looked away from them. I knew it…
"At least you were honest with us, we thought you'd lie or something to cover up what happened." I gasped and looked up at Lance who looked up at me worriedly back, especially when he saw a few tears slip from my eyes.
"…You knew?"
"The first champion and your brother gave us a call," Bruno explained to me, "Agatha stayed on One Isle while we came out here to see if you were alright. The boys had seen the explosion of fire down in the valley and asked hikers around what'd happened. That's how they found out and told us." He then jerked his fist with a finger outstretched toward the front lobby down the stairs. "They decided you needed some space to collect your thoughts and maybe get over what had happened, so they've been waiting out there for the past few hours while you were up here."
"We arrived shortly after them, but they almost begged us to wait until you came down," Lance continued. "We waited with them up until a short hour ago, and think you know the rest of it."
"They've… been waiting on me?"
Bruno sighed. "They've been worried sick."
I pushed past the men before me and hurried down the stairs. Nurse Joy stood nervously at the bottom, and then her expression turned to a surprised one as I sped past her out into the lobby. I saw the two of them there. Alex had his head in his hands, almost into his lap in worry and my brother was trying to calm him down.
"Vince…? Alex…?" The two of them both looked up to me and I gasped at Alex's face; it was running with tears and he had taken on a red hue to his face. Vince fared no better with a face like that of his own, but Alex seemed to be the worse of the two of them.
Alex rose to his feet and raced over to me, taking me into his arms and kissing me on my forehead. Not a short one like he normally does, but a long one, and he doesn't let go. He holds me in a grip that rivaled that of a wrap from an arbok. As soon as I knew he wouldn't let me go, I hugged him back around the waist, crushing my face into his chest. I sobbed there, I felt safe and free in his arms, even with all the constricting power we had on each other.
"You're gonna be alright," Alex sobbed in my shoulder.
I sighed heavily, "I know, Alex, I just… needed some time to think without all these racing emotions and people asking me what's wrong and-"
I felt him hold me tighter and tilt my head upward to kiss my lips. "I know." Looking into his hazel eyes was all it took to keep me entranced and no longer feeling guilty.
I soon pulled away from him and wiped my tears onto my sleeve. "And now I gotta pull myself together. We have a lot of work to do, boys." I felt my pokemon finally relax as my normal attitude came back onto my face and in my actions. "He told me the other password we needed, so let's go to the Team Rocket base."
"But Sis, it's already nine at night!" my brother argued worriedly.
"I know, but this is the only chance we'll have, if we wait any longer, Rose will have two gems and that mad man on her side." I turned back to look at the Elite Four members that had come here and stood behind me. "We can't wait any longer. We head out tonight."

Heavy cloaks were wrapped around all our bodies to conceal who we were as we treaded through the woods at the late night hour. We luckily ran into few or no guards within the meadow, and any we ran into we simply said we were going to see Rose. They quickly would back off and not ask another word.
I was at the front. Amber and Chalcedony hid under my cloak, waiting for any sort of command from me to attack. Alex and Vince flanked both at my sides, and behind them were Lance and Bruno. We were all prepared to face Rose and her small army in full force.
Alex was one of the only one of us, besides myself, that had out a pokemon to help him should he need it. It was one of those new pokemon that apparently he caught in the pattern bush, it, along with Larvitar, were at the ready. While the rock type was still only a baby, Alex thought it would be good experience for it to see some action, and for his new pokemon to take part and see how powerful it was against Team Rocket's pokemon. It was a large bug and fighting type that was a dark blue in color and walked slowly on its back legs and had two finger like pincers that were more strait then Ruby's and only about a tenth of the size of hers. It had a large horn that split at the end to grab someone and thrown them. Its yellowish white eyes were noticeable even in this dark part of the night, hardly any light from the moon to guide us. I'd looked up the information earlier.
Heracross, the mold pokemon. Usually docile, but if disturbed while sipping honey, it chases off the intruder with its horn. Its prizes its horn and tends to thrust it under enemies' bellies, then lifts and throws them. Heracross nests are typically only found somewhat on Six Isle's Pattern Bush.
We finally came to the front of the building after a short while of traveling. It wasn't much later then the hour of ten by the time we arrived. The scientist must have already been here, I had been willing to bet that he was too impatient to wait and only probably waited a short time after it turned dark, which was a couple hours ago.
We approached the door where no one stood before it. On the side of the door was a single button with no notification over it. I walked over to it and pressed it. "Password?"
I motioned to my brother over quickly and cleared his throat before speaking into the small microphone next to the speaker and button, lowering his voice a bit as to not be recognized. "Black Soul and Scarlet Waves."
"And your business?"
"To have an audience with Rose."
We only had to wait a moment before the doors opened and a nervous looking girl stood next to the door. She allowed the five of us and Alex's heracross in before she closed the door.
"Miss Rose is still in a meeting with a man that claimed to have the sapphire we've been searching for, please wait here; I will alert her that she has another visitor." The girl walked off down a hallway to the right and I turned back to the four males behind me.
"Get them out you two," I whispered to them. The four men nodded and Lance and Bruno took off down the hallway to find the captured pokemon here in the base. I sighed as I watched them run off before I turned back to the boys, "We'll hit Rose and that scientist next."
We turned to head down the same way the girl had just gone when she swiftly had come back with a worried look on her face.
"Miss Rose will see you soon if you'll please wait here- wait," she looked around worriedly. "Where's the other two?"
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked the young woman.
"What does that have to do with-"
"Do you have three younger brothers? Were they separated from you so they'd stay under Rose's orders?" She gasped and I saw her body shake and Vince hurried over to her to keep her upright.
"My brothers?" she sobbed, "Did they escape? Did Violet Vilmos help them?"
"I did help them," I pulled back my hood just enough so she could see my face. She gasped again when she saw it and I threw her a bag of clothes. "They're safe now and hidden on Four Isle, waiting for you. Get changed into these civilian clothes and my brother will escort you to them."
She picked up the bag of clothes and looked over them with tears in her eyes before she set it back down on the ground. "I can't leave yet Miss Vilmos."
I blinked at her, "Why not? Your brother's are free, and now you are."
"But my pokemon isn't!" She cried into her hands, and abruptly out popped a small dog like pokemon that was black in color with almost bone like pieces that seemed to have come through the skin over its back and its head. It had a bit of red in some spots, like on its muzzle. Its eyes were bright white and they widened why they saw its trainer in worry. I pulled out my pokedex to see what the strange pokemon was.
Houndour, the dark pokemon. It uses different kinds of cries for communicating with others of its kind and for pursuing prey. This pokemon's teamwork is simply unparalleled. There are no houndour nests in the region.
The young woman reached for the small houndour at her side and carried it in her arms. "Houndour's mother, Houndoom, is being kept in Rose's personal quarters to keep me here, even if my brothers are safe. I can't leave without her; she's the last connection I have to my parents before Giovanni murdered them!"
I slowly breathed out at her words. I could tell they were true. No lie came from her since she didn't have the strength to lie. Her heart had been shattered by the murder of her parents and her thoughts and feelings tossed around by Rose not once, but more than that many times. These pokemon and her brothers were all she had left…
"Fine, you can stay, but only until we help set your pokemon free," She looked up at me in shock, "But get changed, you'll still be arrested if you're seen with that uniform on. I'll burn it when I get the chance."
Her eyes continued to water but I saw a small smile from her. She asked the boys to turn while she changed and they did so while I made sure there were no bruises or damage done to her. She quickly changed into a set of jeans, a t-shirt and I light jacket I'd grabbed for her. She threw her uniform to the ground in the corner along with her Team Rocket hat and smiled as she took her pokemon in her arms again.
"Thank you," I nodded to her and the boys turned back around while we walked down the hallway with the woman to Rose's main office.
It was a longer hallway that we had to move down, but apparently Rose was waiting at the other end, there was no way for her to escape, and that she was pleased me immensely. I guess this may be the end of our game, Rosie.
Once we made it to the end, I gave a knock on the door. From behind it, I could hear the groaning of a woman and she called for us to come in. I turned the latch on the door and it quickly opened.
There was Rose, she was now wearing a new type of Rocket uniform that seemed to be white with a red 'r' on the front that went all the way down to her ankles in a dress like form that was cut open all the way up from her hips to the bottom, it covered all the way up to her neck and had a collar before it covered all of her arms, but not her hands, which were in black gloves. Her hair was pulled back into a braid and she seemed quite irritated as she sat before the scientist while he showed her the sapphire he'd stolen from me. On her side, I was shocked to see she had the last gem tucked into the side of her uniform in a pocket… the emerald.
"What is it now, Isabella? Surely the other group outside can wait-" she cut herself off when she looked at us and saw the girl we'd just rescued in normal clothes, "What are you doing out of your uniform? And why is that mutt of yours out and about! I specifically said-"
"What you say, and what I say, are on two different levels, Rosie." Her jaw went slack and her eyes bulged as I spoke and lowered the hood on the cloak. I felt Amethyst rage travel through her pokeball and she gave me a bit of her power to transform myself into the changeling I'd become. "Wanna play a game? That guy owes me for… a few things."
The scientist merely grinned evilly. I saw his menacing eyes travel downward toward my chest. And he licked the lower half of his lips, "I was hoping you'd show up, Miss Vilmos."
I shuddered. Instinctively, I crossed my arms to hide my chest more, "I never said I wouldn't show. I just needed… a bit of time to recover." Before the man could reply to my statement or give me a stupid comment, the alarm started to blare throughout the base. Rose gasped and jumped to her feet.
"What did you do, Violet? How did you even get in?"
"Did you ever doubt I would get in? You can thank this scientist here for giving me the other password I needed to get in." Rose looked over to the man in a rush and for once I actually saw fear on his face as she glared at him with a gaze that could certain kill if it had the power to. "But let's move on, shall we? You both have something that I need and that you shouldn't be in possession of." Both of them quickly looked to their gems they had on them, and leapt away from the table.
Rose was quick to back away by an emergency exit door and the scientist was going to follow her when she stopped him.
"Prove your strength and worth; if you beat Violet, you know where I'll be waiting, if not, don't you dare follow." The man gapped at her as she quickly slipped through and locked it from the outside, effectively leaving him to deal with the four of us (well more technically three since we were saving the girl, Isabella.)
I saw the man's body shaking as he released a total of five pokemon from his pokeballs: a voltorb, an electrode, a magnemite, a maneton and a proygon. The magneton flew over to him and I watched as his body turned silvery metallic in color and electricity sparked all around him. His hair also turned a glossy white and his eyes turned to a tiny small black dot for a pupil that I could hardly see at all.
"You ruin everything…" he clenched his fist as he slowly moved across the floor toward me, "Don't you Miss Vilmos?"
"It tends to be one of my many habits." I felt Amethyst's energy flow into my body and she and all the others released themselves out of their pokeballs. I cracked my knuckles as the fire oozed out of the corner of my mouth like a tiny stream of lava. "Any last words before I beat the crap out of you and send you to jail, you creep?"
"Yes, I'm going to kill-" The man was instantly cut off when I raced forward with the speed of my pokemon and both my feet landed in his lower abdomen.
"Sorry, I got a little impatient," The man fell to the ground and my feet touched the ground as I got back into a fighting stance, "This time, you won't fool me or sneak up on me; I hold the power and speed now."
Alexander's Point of View:
I watched as Violet began kicking the shit out of the scientist man that had humiliated her only a short while ago today. She seemed to be getting out a lot of her pent up anger from hurting him, and not to mention that her pokemon got in on the action, practically destroying his team and tearing them to shreds. Oh the charges that would be listed against him…
I heard a howl over to my side and I looked to see behind thick industrial bars was a larger pokemon that looked a lot like the houndour in Isabella's arms. Its horns were much longer and curled around before its face, its snout was much longer and its tail with a million times longer in length that it could really whip at anyone who bother it. The bones that extended form the skin seemed to be much thicker on this pokemon and its eyes looked happily over at Isabella.
"Houndoom!" Isabella cried and rushed over to the dog behind the bars. The girl reached through to pet the pokemon and it calmed and settled into her touch. I pulled out my pokedex quickly to see what was listed upon this pokemon.
Houndoom, the dark pokemon and the evolved form of houndour. Upon hearing its eerie howls, other pokemon get the shivers and head straight back to their nests. If you are burned by the flames it shoots from its mouth, the pain will never go away. In a houndoom pack, the one with its horns raked sharply back serves as a leadership role. They choose their leader by fighting among themselves. There are no houndoom nests in the region.
"Wow…" I whistled at the information on this pokemon only to be knocked out of my thoughts and looking back over at them. Houndour was trying to get its mother out with its teeth on the lock, but they seemed to have no effect.
"Don't worry, Houndoom, we'll get you out." Isabella reassured her pokemon and that seemed to calm it done.
"Heracross can do it, stand back." I called my bug pokemon over to my side. It lit up its horn to do mega horn when a large object was thrown in our direction and it hit the cage. I cringed and looked away for a moment and saw it was the scientist; he was practically knocked out for the count. "Or this guy can do it for us…"
"What the hell are you doing, you fucking idiot! I'm not done with you yet!" My girlfriend came right over and grabbed the guy by his leg and dragged him back into the fight and he ended up back into the dust cloud of fighting that went on between all the pokemon there and herself and him.
I sighed. My girlfriend… I loved her to death… I smiled as I watched her beat the crap out of him and her pokemon doing easily the same thing to his pokemon as well.
Violet's Point of View:
To be honest, it was really a disgrace during this fight.
The scientist had hardly put up a fight, which meant that I had way too much energy left over that I'd have to burn off later. He'd give up without him doing so much as tapping me during the fight. It was honestly pitiful.
The boys had contacted Lorelei on Four Isle and she had a boat be sent down to the island here so we could take the pokemon home that were kidnapped. All the other members that actually dared to stay behind and face me or any of the four males that came with me were knocked out and were in no way, shape or form waking up any time soon. Officer Jenny and the police force she led in Kanto quickly came out to the islands as soon as they heard of what was going on and took all the members into custody.
The last of them was the scientist. We'd kept him until last to question him, that and I had taken the gem off him earlier. He was now awake, but his entire body was swollen from all my attacking him earlier.
"So, are you going to tell us where Rose went? You can either tell us now, or add even more time onto your name, or compared to never getting out. Personally, I think you deserve time in jail for forever, but it's your call if you don't want that… only if you help us." The man had been quiet as I tried to persuade him. I waited for the longest of time as he glared at me from behind his glasses that had shattered, leaving him only the rims. I shrugged and turned away from him, crossing my arms. "Oh well, then. Better for me, I wouldn't have to put up with your ugly face," I turned to the boys, "Let's go, you guys, leave him to the police, we still have to get Isabella home to her brothers."
The boys and Isabella gave me no argument as we moved out of the room. I started to head out of the door when I heard a strained "wait." His voice sounded hoarse. I smiled at that before I composed my face into a face of fake confusion. I turned around and glanced back at the man, he looked directly at the ground as I stood there, waiting on his words to reach my ears.
"Yes?"
"…Seven Isle," he muttered, "The Tanoby Ruins…"
I grinned. "Thanks for the info, enjoy your time in jail." His head still stayed lowered as I walked away to join the others. They had waited for me by the front door.
Alex took my hand in his and we headed out to where all the wood modified vehicles were all around the compound that previously belonged to Team Rocket, now it was under the authority of the Pokѐmon League.
"So, did he say it?" My brother questioned as we started our walk back to town where Isabella's brothers were supposed to meet up with us.
"Seven Isle, the Tanoby Ruins," I replied and looked worriedly back at my brother, "We're gonna need to take them out in one final attack. Vince, I want you to get all the gym leaders on the line, get them to Seven Isle by tomorrow morning, I also want all Elite Four assembled. From the sound of it, even Lance and Bruno had a bit of a tough time with dealing with Rose's minions, from what they told me earlier anyway. And we can only imagine how many members Rose will have on at her command after what we faced tonight. While it was easy for me, it won't be for others, so we'll need more numbers on our side."
"Is there anything you want us to do, Champion?" Lance questioned me.
"Yes, call Agatha on One Isle and ask her to bring Celio to Seven Isle with the ruby, I'll hand off the Sapphire to him before we head into battle tomorrow. I also want you, Bruno, to call my mother and have her bring Lovey and Black Spinal out to help protect Celio. I don't want to worry about any of Rose's tricks while we're facing off against her."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Anything you want me to do, Vi?" My boyfriend asked me kindly but with a real determination in his voice and in his eyes.
"Yeah, I'm gonna need some help devising a plan tonight for tomorrow, mind giving me an extra hand?"
"IZZY!" I lifted my head up to see the three brothers running toward us, actually, running at their sister and her pokemon. Tears slipped from the edges of her eyes and she tried to wipe them away, but it didn't seem to work.
"Ian! Ivor! Isaac!" The girl ran up to them and embraced her younger siblings and the pokemon jumped on them too, embracing in happiness. My group and I simply watched from afar as they reconnected and I turned back to Alex, waiting on his answer that was interrupted.
"No problem, Vi, but what about those four? And their pokemon?" he finally said to me.
"Keep them on Seven Isle, too, it's easier for us if we keep them all together, and the larger numbers will be more effective for them to protect themselves and keeps safe."
"Will we do this at the pokemon center, Sis?" my brother questioned, looking around Alex's head to see me.
"No, we need to get a move onto the island, so we'll do it from the boat," I looked out to the sea off in the direction of Seven Isle, "Who knows how far ahead she's gotten since we saw her a while ago." I looked at both of them in the eye, "Whatever distance there is between us, isn't good."
"Then we'll just have to find her, and face her."
"Really, Vince? I didn't think of that." My brother sighed at my comment, but a light chuckle passed his lips as well as Alex's, both of them most likely glad to see that I had my humor back after all the events of today.
I smiled back at them for a moment before I looked off to the sea again, seeing Rose's new image and her face in my mind with the emerald. Just you wait Rosie, we're coming for you, and I promise you now, your life is going to be even worse than it was before…
