Pokѐmon Journey I: Violet's Trial
Chapter 30: The Final Battle
Violet's Point of View:
The trip over to Seven Isle took a short amount of time, but we had to wait the rest of the night for the others to arrive. Once we arrived on Seven Isle's shores, we stayed at the pokemon center while we waited for the boats to arrive. Everyone had thankfully done as I asked last night and called all the gym leaders who were also bringing along strong trainers that could help us in this final struggle. I could feel it in every place in my body, especially my gut feeling, it would be the final battle between me and Rose, here on this island…
I almost didn't want it to end. Rose kept me entertained and on my feet, she has for my entire journey. I wouldn't be as strong as I am now if I didn't get hit with so many curse attacks and faced her pokemon (even though the only one that truly posed a threat was her gengar.) I almost wished I could just let her escape so I had an excuse to go out and battle her all over again, but I know I couldn't do that. Rose had to be taken down, and then our next priority was to find her husband and arrest him as well, then find their son, Tristan, and try to get some arrangement to get him maybe into my family, or at least, a loving family.
Morning came sooner than expected to most other than myself. While I was able to get a short amount of sleep of five hours, I'd been up for the last couple. I'd watched the sun rise out from over the line of the ocean and the islands, momentarily leaving the sky nearly as red as the rising sun had been, telling me the haunting truth that blood would be spilled today, and I guessed it would most likely be my own.
I was sitting on the roof of the pokemon center; all of my pokemon had joined me, even Black Spinal and Lovey. None of us spoke any words to each other, the only thing we did was watch and wait, leaving anything else up to our minds as our thoughts waved around.
"Bre…" Chalcedony finally mumbled to me while the others remained quiet, but did glance at him in the corner of their eyes.
"I know, Chalcedony, this is it," I sighed as the sun rose higher and its red hue vanished behind the illusion of the sun yellowish white color as it rose higher into the morning sky, "Today, it ends… our final battle…"
"Rhu…" Amethyst growled under her breath.
"I know, girl." I reached up behind my shoulder and rubbed the side of her chin and face. She seemed to calm slightly at my touch, but her amethyst eyes still glowed for taking down Rose, they were hungry for battle, angry with pain… so many emotions… it was overwhelming when I tried to feel them all from her own point of view.
"Gol!" Lovey flew off her perch and landed on my free arm which I held out before me as another perch for her to land on, "Golbat gol!"
I gave her a soft smile. "Don't worry, Lovey, I promise we'll all come back, and we'll kick Rose's butt, too. For you and Black Spinal, and all the other pokemon that has been hurt by people that work under her and that are just like her."
Eventually all my pokemon began to gently talk amongst themselves again, quiet enough so that I couldn't quite pick up on their conversations. The only one who really stayed quiet no matter what seemed to be Ruby. Her red armor seemed to shine in the early morning light and she herself glared with molten gold eyes out over the waves.
"Is something wrong, Ruby?" Everyone went silent at my question. It was then that I saw Amethyst turned her head and soon Sapphire joined her. All of my pokemon soon responded to whatever Ruby was and all their hair, skin, scales and whatever their bodies were made of stood on end. "You guys?"
"Scizor… sciz… sciz sczior." Her eyes didn't waver as she looked out toward the southern end of the island toward the ruins.
She could feel something dark…
"Rhu… rhu rhu…."
She could smell blood on the wind…
"Kaa… kyaa…"
She could hear the screams…
Third Person Point of View:
Just like Violet's pokemon were feeling, smelling and hearing these things, on the tip and end of Seven Isle, within the Tanoby Ruins was a small group of hikers that had been scattered about the seven small ruins. All of them were covered in their own blood, their pokemon the same way, it almost seemed like their bodies had been burst from the inside toward the out, or simply attacked and torn to shreds and burned to crisps. It was unknown and highly unlikely that any of them survived…
Only one of them remained alive. It was a young boy that had been traveling with his family. He ran like his life depended on it through the ruins until he ended up at a dead end. He freaked out and called out his small pokemon, a tiny geodude that held the boy in its arms. The boy couldn't have been much older than nine as his eyes went wide when the pokemon who had been chasing him finally found him in the dead end. One of them, being a ghost type, lifted the boy into the air while the apparent grass type and normal type attacked the pokemon with grass and ice type attacks. The geodude was thrown into the wall, blood somehow seeping from its rock body. The pokemon attacking it didn't seem to have a care and continued its relentless attack.
The boy was held above by the ghost pokemon, its curse attack lightly playing at the boys internal organs, internal bleeding appeared in small spots under his skin. Clicking of heels could be heard before a figure walked into the room behind the pokemon. The person watched the human child struggle for life.
"Finish him, Gengar, and dispose of his pokemon, Bellossom, Proygon 2." The three pokemon nodded, and tears of crying could be heard from inside the little boy's body. He screamed with all his might and his pokemon looked up at him in wide eyes. The pokemon, even while being constantly attacked, managed to pound the ground and split it open, stunning and knocking its attackers off their feet and the geodude caught its trainer and fell into the cracks in the ground, hurrying as far away from that spot as possible.
The geodude ended up coming back up to the surface inside on the first temples that the woman and her pokemon had hit. It was littered with bodies of humans and pokemon alike. One that stood out the most was a young girl and her steelix, who happened to look much like the little boy.
"Sissy!" The boy ran up to the girl's body and was relieved, yet worried when he saw she was breathing harshly. Her steelix had landed with its tail over her legs and its head against the wall. The girl looked through one of her eyes that had been stained, outside and within, with blood.
"Robby…" she tried to talk, but she suddenly had to hold in the urge to scream from the pain inside her body. One of her organs had been ruptured, but which one she didn't know other than it couldn't have been the heart or brain since she's still alive. She pulled through it and looked to her younger brother. "Get behind me."
"Roxy…" her brother sobbed.
"Get behind me!" she begged her brother and soon enough, the boy listened and hid himself and his pokemon behind her body. Once he was settled enough, she used her own body and destroyed back to cover him. "Steelie…" she called up to her steel pokemon and it cracked open its eye, hardly able to move with all its pain and steel bolder body soaked in its own red blood and that of its humans trainer's. "Please…"
The steelix finally moved slightly so his head fell off the wall and across her back, which causing her an increased amount of pain, it covered her brother and his pokemon from sight and hopefully the woman who attacked them all wouldn't find him… so he could survive…
The clicking returned. The girl allowed her body to fall forward with her pokemon using its heavy and wide body to protect her brother and his little pokemon from the woman's wrath that she had willingly thrown upon them. The girl knew her parents' were dead, she could no longer hear or see them breathing, and they would have called out to her by now if they were. She had heard another little girl sobbing earlier with her pokemon from behind her own dead parent's bodies with her little diglett that had dug a hole for her to hide in. She had no idea if the girl was alive or dead now, since she couldn't reach her with her own wounds she had to deal with.
The woman stopped before the girl's body. The girl had halted her breath a short while ago and stopped her breathing to fool the woman that she really was dead. Her brother quietly shook behind her and under her pokemon. He was very afraid.
"Attack her body again, Gengar, make sure she's dead." The girl's body suddenly clenched and she was thrown backward against her pokemon's body in pain. She had no other option then to scream as the pain wracked through her body. "What a pity…"
Rose sighed. "Kill her, Gengar, and make sure she dies this time."
It was the end, she had nowhere to turn, not one to protect her, all she could do was protect what was still alive, her brother, and that little girl… little Lucy…
"Not so fast, Rose!" A large blast of black, purple and red energy came at Rose and hit all three of her pokemon. It didn't faze them much, but it did push them back and forced Rose to turn. Elite Four member Lance stood at the end of the hallway with his dragonite and began to walk toward them.
Rose hissed and took out a knife. And hurried over to the girl's body, grabbing her hair and pulling it back and placed the blade right beneath her neck. "Don't move or the girl dies!"
Lance halted in his tracks and his pokemon stopped. "Good, now back away or missy here," she pulled roughly on the girl's hair, making her groan and cry out in discomfort, "loses her head."
Lance growled as he snorted and had no choice but to back up. He slowly took his steps while Rose watched him carefully. "That girl better still be alive when I come back, Rose."
"And I want Violet Vilmos, your 'champion', dead, but things don't always go our way." The woman snapped and Lance held up his hands as if to try and calm her.
"Now let's just hold on a second…" the man tried to reason with her, but the woman would hear nothing of it.
"Get out now!" The girl cried out as the blade was placed further against her neck and a small slit of skin cut, a small beaded river of blood dripping out and down her neck.
"Alright, alright, Rose, just leave the girl alone, I'm leaving now." Lance backed out of the chamber and the red haired woman pulled roughly on the girl's hair, causing her to scream.
"You're going to wish you were dead!" The woman shouted and pulled back the knife to stab the girl in the neck when a trembling force in the walls froze the woman and she looked up.
Above was the figure of a girl, one with long grayish-purple hair and amethyst eyes, her hair seemed to have a maroon color under it and a cloak covering her body, she landed on the wall before she leapt at the woman with the knife. Seeing as she was about to get hit, she pulled back the knife and dropped the bleeding girl and jumped out of the way, not making it and the strangely colored girl screamed at the woman.
"ROOOOSSSSEEE!" The changeling hollered and punched her directly in the gut, sending the two of them flying out of the ruins from the impact and the speed and power. Rose was thrown out onto the sand of the island ruins at the south most point of Seven Isle.
Violet Vilmos stood before the woman in the angriest form that anyone would have ever seen from the young girl. Her eyes were practically no more than slits and so tiny that if someone didn't know better, her eyes were entirely white. She hissed and lowered herself to the ground where her hand like claws found a spot that she was able to get friction on to move. She leapt at Rose again with her long claws outstretched and ready to tear the woman apart.
Rose was prepared, however, and suddenly called upon the dark power of her most powerful pokemon to help her. Her body changed and her dress like uniform thrown away to leave the woman in a set of black underwear and a strapless bra. Her hair changed to the darkest purple color and her eyes turned a light red color within every inch of her eye with small black pupils. Her hair became a slight bit spikier and her body became slightly tangent and the other changeling attacking her phased through her.
Violet turned back around and threw the cloak off to the side, revealing the dark blue shorts she had on and the purple sports bra that covered everything that was an unmentionable. She suddenly opened her mouth at the woman and out came a white blast of fire that this time hit her head on. The ghost changeling woman screamed and flew up into the sky, hurrying to avoid Violet's wrath with the power of levitation she had from her gengar.
Violet didn't allow her any headway however and suddenly reached to her shoulder blades on her back and ripped part of the skin open for two appendages to suddenly shove their way out of her body. Large wings, the same color as her mighty charizard, emerged and flapped about before a tail emerged too, a smaller one then Amethyst's, but long enough and thick enough for Violet to use and move about with.
Violet used her wings to leap up into the air and race after the psychotic woman, blasting at her with many blast of fire. Rose fired back while spinning in the air with an attack that startled Violet, shadow punch. A barrage of them hit her, but seemed to do almost no damage as she quickly recovered and hurried after the woman again, this time, using an different attack of her own and Amethyst's, a flaming fist that was thrown in a barrage at the older female. Rose had no way of dodging it and was thrown from the impact into the mountain side.
Vincent's Point of View:
Okay, so my sister and that crazy phyco bitch have been playing fucking knock each other out for a long time now while the rest of us were fighting in the battle against all her members. It just peeves me off that Vi has no problem with these guys and yet… Alex and I are having a bit of trouble with them and the others are having even more trouble, Team Rocket under Rose must have really bumped up the practice and training, both pokemon and human since lots of us have been attacked, and it's been up to Alex and I to watch almost everyone's backs as well as each other's and our own. We didn't have to worry about Violet; she'd fry the person's ass that tried to take a stab at herWait a minute, some of you might be confused as to how we even got here, so I better back track a bit and lead you up to where we we're now in the middle of this bloody battle between Team Rocket and all forces of good in Kanto.
Violet had told me that while she and her team of monster pokemon were out in the early morning, mentally preparing themselves for this battle, that they could all hear, sense or smell something that was pretty foul. Violet was worried and took off with her pokemon with many of the rest of us that had arrived left bheind. Lance was already down at the locations and exploring when we gave him a call and said that he'd been finding dead bodies of a few groups of humans and pokemon down there, of course that made my sister worry even more and she fucken bolted out of here as if her body caught fire.
When we got up to the Seavault Canyon, I managed to see a few more pokemon that my sister had not (but of course, she wouldn't have in that situation.) The first was a small blue pokemon that was on its four legs and had very floppy ears and a trunk with tiny orange lines on the edges of its ears and one over the base of its nose. Its eyes had been onyx black. All of that pokemon was hiding in small grounds in the grass and in the rock walls of the canyon.
Phanpy, the long nose pokemon. As a sign of affection, it bumps with its snout. However, it is so strong, it may send you flying. Even the young are very strong. Phanpy nests aren't very common but are seen in Seven Isle's Seavault Canyon.
Another had been a steel bird that was nested well over our heads and out of reach of most of the trainers we had with us to give us a helping hand in the battle. Its wings were sharp and it almost looked like every feather was a small knife that blended in on its wing, most of them had been a dark silver, but some of the under wing feathers (which were still sharp) were a bright red color. It also had bright yellow eyes too with black pupils.
Skarmory, the armor bird pokemon. A pokemon that has a body and wings made of steel. People in the past used feathers fallen from skarmory to make knives and swords. Its sturdy wings look heavy, but its bones are hallow and light, allowing it to fly freely in the sky. Skarmory nests are extremely rare in this region and tend to only be found in Seven Isle's Seavault Canyon.
The last pokemon we'd seen up until this point was a water type that hid mostly under the water and stayed closer to the land away from the islands when we finally got there. It was a giant ray shaped pokemon that was a dark blue in color and had a grayish white underside to it where I saw some of the remoraid attached under its wing like arms. It had a long swishing tail like Sapphire did, but it was a dark blue and it had two fat antennas on its head. Its eyes had been entirely black.
Mantine, the kite pokemon. On sunny days, schools of mantine can be seen elegantly leaping over the waves. It is not bothered by the remoraid that hitch rides under its arm like wings to scavenge for food. Mantine nests are rare and tend to be seen only in the water on Seven Isle's water's surrounding the seven Tanoby Ruins.
All the pokemon were afraid now, they knew what Rose was doing to everyone. They were afraid to be next, loose someone they care about. I'd fear that too, but Violet would sooner cut my head off then listen to me about her safety.
So now we were on the beaches, trying to take out as many members of Team Rocket as we could to help Violet out and weaken Rose's power. But what really stunned us was when we discovered that she was now a changeling too, and she'd been so afraid of her own husband's changeling abilities, you'd think she wouldn't want it.
But she seemed to embrace the power; she loved it and took it in with open arms while she battled my sister. The two of them were so fast as they battled in the sky that we could hardly even see them, only sudden bursts of energy did we see in flashing red and purple-black light from above. Rose had figured out how to take on her gengar's abilities and use them to counter any physical type move Violet threw at her if it wasn't coated in fire or metal.
A sudden screaming caught me off guard and I turned across the field to watch as Alex's body was literally moving as if his skin was about to rip itself off his body. He fell to the his knees in pain before I saw a Rocket before him pull out a knife and stab it into his side, which he barely moved out of the way of to avoid being hit in the chest.
All hell broke loose when my sister screamed.
Alexander's Point of View (a few moments earlier):
Rose had trained these new members of hers well. They fought back with much more determination and strength behind their attacks, something I wouldn't have expected from Team Rocket. Rose just keeps shoving new surprises at us with every time we meet…
And speaking of surprises, both of Rose's two other pokemon had evolved, the first of them being her gloom into some sort of flower like pokemon that was tinier then before, it had red flowers on either side of its head, which was a green color with black eyes and a white pupil. That dress of its was made of yellow and green leaves that it danced around in. I'd pulled out my pokedex to see exactly what it was and what it could do.
Bellossom, the flower pokemon and the evolved form of gloom. Its flower petals deepen in color through exposure to sunlight. When cloudy weather persists, it does a dance that it thought to be a ritual for summoning the sun. Bellossom evolve by using a sun stone. There is no known nest for this pokemon in this region.
But that wasn't the only of Rose's pokemon. She also had a thinned out and smoothed skin version of her proygon. It was much fast then before and how had a thinned out point on the back of its head.
Proygon 2, the virtual pokemon and the evolved form of proygon. It was created by humans using the power of science. It has been given artificial intelligence that enables it to learn new gestures and emotions on its own. Proygon 2 evolves with a man-made product known as an 'up-grade'. There are no known nests for this pokemon in this region.
Those pokemon of hers still seemed to put up quite the fight, with their new evolutions came power that they previously didn't have as a gloom or a proygon. But regardless of that, Gengar was still about and nowhere in sight, which I'm sure you could tell that bothered us greatly. Gengar could attack at any time, from any angle; it would be a miracle if any of us made it out of here without some wounds from that pokemon.
I rode around with Arcanine as my passage on the field. With his height and speed, we easily avoided or got to any fight that needed our help. The rest of my pokemon as well as Vince's and Violet's were scattered around in pairs, helping out whoever needed an extra hand. The only ones that seemed to really fight on their own was Amethyst, Blastoise and Venasaur, who each covered a large area of the battle on all grounds with their ancient moves, blast burn, hydro cannon and frenzy plant. The battle almost looked to be equal on both sides since humans had to fight as well. Team Rocket was merciless as they came at our friends and allies along the large beaches. Larvitar was too young to see this bloodshed, so I tried to keep him in his pokeball, but of course, since Violet raised him for the shortest amount of time in history he didn't listen and joined the battle, fighting alongside Heracross.
A sudden Rocket came up on my right with a knife. Arcanine swatted it away with its tail into a group of them off to the side. I leapt off my pokemon and hurried over to grab the knife, there was no need for him to keep it, less another victim is harmed by his hand.
A sudden wave of pain crossed over my entire body. I felt it shattering my bones and tearing apart my insides. Was this what Violet faced every time she was hit with a curse attack? Is this the same amount of pain she felt when the attack hit? I tried to fight through it, just like Violet had, but I'd never been hit by curse before, it was a new feeling entirely, I'd never felt so much pain before not even when Violet kicked me down… "there" when we were starting our journeys.
But it still felt just as bad, I could hardly feel a thing. My vision was blurred; it was hard to make out shapes. My pokemon howled next to me, fearful. I could hear my other pokemon trying to hurry back to me as I fell to my knees.
I suddenly felt the knife that I'd grabbed leave my hand and I saw it flash before me with a large splash of black and red. I fought with every ounce of my will and moved off to the side only to avoid the dagger being plunged into my chest by trading that pain for the stab wound in my side. I finally bellowed out a scream that even reached the high heavens in the sky where Violet fought Rose for all of our pain and sufferings to be over with, once that woman was disposed of and thrown away for good.
I heard her scream, Violet's that is. She cried out tears of fear and rage before I saw her burst in flames… and my eyes blackened as I lost more of my life liquid…
Third Person Point of View:
Screaming was all that could be heard, that of a male and that of a female. That of the male was down below; the ghost pokemon had accomplished its mission to distract Violet Vilmos with the pain, suffering and possible death of her young beloved. That of the girl was above and in the sky; all time froze when she herself was frozen in fear, watching the red oozy blood pour out of his side and his body collapse on the ground.
The fire came then, it ignited all around her while the evil woman behind all of this tried to get in for an attack, but backed off at the heat that went off like an explosion. While the fire cleared enough to see her face, nothing was left but white and black from the light and shadows of fear and anger. She roared in rage and in almost triple the speed she had before, she suddenly disappeared and then reappeared behind Rose. Rose only had a second to look into the burning eyes of hatred before she was hit over the head and thrown into the ground below, splitting it in two upon her impact.
Violet gave her no chance to see if anything had happen before she flew into the dusty smoke around them. Her fire pokemon flew in after her and the two of grabbed each other's claw like hands before using their ancient moves against her within the ground.
Flames leapt up at the sky from within the ground that raced and even melted to the rock to an extent, it melted the sand into glass that hissed and steamed on the edges closer to where the two women and the charizard fought.
The gengar that had caused all this anger and whatnot decided to flee and try again, but Amethyst wasn't about to let that happen. From within the white flames that had shot into the sky like a beam of light, she shot her hand out that had been at molten temperatures and latched onto the leg of the pokemon. It cried out in pain as the fire type threw the ghost type into the flame that suddenly doubled size in shape, the sheer power of the fight from within.
All allied forces were pulled from the battlefield while Team Rocket was distracted by the fight. Chalcedony leapt atop of Ruby to fly them overhead where all the Rockets looked to and used an attack that stilled them in fear from running from where they stood.
But who wouldn't? Those eyes could make the entire world stand still in fear.
Regardless of that, once the Rockets were froze in place with fear, the dragon type of Violet's team summoned a large amount of waves into the previous battle zone, the area flooded quickly and all Rockets were suck up to their knees in water before a small electric type leapt up into the air and called upon the lighting above. It struck down into the area and took out all the pokemon and humans at once, by using the principle of elemental advantages. Last came Sapphire, who easily glided atop of the sky flew below the yellow pokemon before it landed in the water and flew above where its dragon pokemon friend levitated in the air. Once the two of them were out of the way of the water, ice came from both of their bodies which froze the field around the blazing fire. The ice captured all Rocket members in its grasp and police arrived on the scene to watch in amazement that the battle was still going on, at least for Violet that was. From the flame emerged four separate figures that took either side of the field in pairs, ghosts on one side, dragons on the other. Violet's other pokemon flew up to stand with her and show the power her team had compared to Rose's. Her proygon 2 and bellossom looked up to her on the ground, defeated and unable to move. The woman looked back to Violet only to have something quick race by her and slice her skin from the base of her chin all the way up to her forehead, going over the eyelid. When Rose looked back again, she gasped when she saw the emerald in Violet's hands, as well as blood dripping from her claws.
"Tch!" the woman snorted at them, "Another battle lost, Giovanni was right, hiding and training are our best options right now…"
"You're not going to get the chance to do so, Rose!" Violet Vilmos growled from the other side, "You're going to be locked up, forever, where you can't hurt anyone anymore."
"I'm afraid not, Violet, you may have got my members, but you have yet to get me, and also…" she jerked her thumb down to Alex bleeding into the sand. "You have a choice to catch me or save him, what do you plan to do?"
The young girl gasps and tears welded in her eyes as she looked down at the bloodied figure of her boyfriend. After only a moment's hesitation, she turned her back on Rose and hurried down below. Rose continued to cover above for a moment before she turned away.
"Get the others, Gengar, we're heading out to train with my husband, we'll start anew again, just not today." The ghost pokemon nodded and took off to the ground to grab its fallen comrades and then head after its trainer. Gengar easily kept them with the wounded human that still drove on her pokemon's energy. "Next time we'll win. Violet, next time, I'll be certain you'll lose…"
Violet's Point of View:
I hurried down to the ground below and ran as fast as my feet could carry me to where Alex was, my transformation into a changeling long let go as I hurried to his side and took hold of his hand. With the help of Bruno and Lance, they tried to assist a doctor in stopping the bleeding, but, from what I was told by them, he wouldn't have enough blood to survive transportation to the hospital at the rate he was losing blood.
Many of our friends and allies offered to give blood, which the doctor happily accepted and gave it to Alex. While we tried to save his life, he was out the entire time. I watched him with fear, the greatest amount of fear I think I'd felt in all my life…
Chalcedony nudged my side and came over to Alex. He sat next to his wounded side and sang up to the sky above, thought I didn't understand why since it was the middle of the day, and Chalcedony's abilities were entirely concentrated on darkness and moonlight, not the sun and day.
I suddenly saw the sky darkening over us, some short of lining was covering us over this area to block out the sun and give the impression of a moon as well as a night sky with the stars. Once it had grown to the size apparently Chalcedony like, he called out again and this time, energy from this… fake moon came toward him. He curled his body into Alex's and the energy from his body was absorbed into it, I watched as the bleeding slowly stopped and we could now see the wound. I gasped at the healing abilities he had and crouched next to my pokemon.
"Chalcedony, help me become a changeling from your power so we can save him, heal him, together." My dark type gave me a soft smile and nodded. He called out to the moon again as I tried to share my emotions with my dark pokemon and I sudden felt them enter me as if a door had blasted open from inside my soul from a large gust of wind. I felt his energy pour into me and my body changed. My vision was sharper and it looked as if it was day time rather than night as I looked into the dark area that Chalcedony had created. I saw the glowing circular marks that were on each appendage and on my forehead. I saw my hair had turned back and silky smooth that reflected the moonlight.
"Bre!" The snap in my pokemon's voice brought me back to reality and I hurried over to Alex's side, gently setting my hand over his wound.
I sighed and let all my negative emotions out of my body and concentrated on healing his wound. "Moonlight," the command was gently, yet it had its effects. I felt the energy of the fake moon enter me and be passed onto Alex, who absorbed the energy and from the both of us, his wound began to heal.
I smiled as I saw his wound heal and sighed as all the energy escaped out of me. I heard my family and friends cry out, but I couldn't respond as I blacked out.
HalloweenWitchHalloweenWitch
I woke with a start and looked around where I was. I felt the soft cushions of the bed under me and the curtain around my bed. I blinked a few times as I saw my pokemon were all there with me, fast asleep next to my bed. As to not stir them, I crept out quietly and slipped under the curtain to keep it in place and conceal that I was awake.
"Well, look who woke up," I jumped at the voice next to me and looked over to my side.
Alex was there and awake in the bed that was apparently next to mine. He smiled at me and motioned me over. "How are you feeling?"
"Tired mostly, but fine for the most part." I sat next to his arm and patted his hair and face, feeling over his smooth skin. "And you?"
"Tired, in a bit of pain, but not too much," he muttered to me as he rubbed his eyes. "Everyone was worried when you collapsed. I guess that fight with Rose took a lot out of you, didn't it?"
I sighed. "I think it would have taken all the energy out of any newly discovered changeling, that and I went through two different changes to save you, one, as I'm sure you know, was Amethyst, the other, much to your surprise, was Chalcedony." I looked away from him and down at my hands. "It was thanks to him that we were able to save you from dying out on that beach."
Alex took my hand in his own. "I know, Vi, I'm sorry."
"Don't blame yourself, Rose went for my weakness, and one of them was you." He rubbed his thumb over my hand. "Do I dare ask if there were any survivors to the battle and the civilian massacre?"
"No one died in the battle, some wounded yes, but none dead. As for the hikers however, out of the group of thirty of them, twenty seven of them were killed and two kids and a teen were the three survivors. Roxanne and Robert Thatchet and Lucinda Lockster, ages thirteen, nine and seven. Rose was apparently about to kill Roxanne when Lance arrived on scene."
"Oh those poor kids… and that girl… she's no older than us…"
"We've faced a lot of challenges that most kids our age and younger don't see for at least another ten years, or people see for their entire lives," Alex reminded me. "Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy are going to be helping them out and putting them together in foster care. Or, should Roxanne get a good lawyer, she might be able to take custody of them with approval of periodic checkups with any gym leader or Elite Four member or yourself and us until she reaches the age of eighteen, where she can legally look after her brother without periodic visits and adopt Lucinda as her sister."
"At least they'll be together…" I sighed again. "All this dreadful talk with killings and families makes me think of Tristan…"
"Don't worry, Vi, we'll find him." Alex pulled me down to kiss him quickly before he released and allowed me to sit up. "Oh, that reminds me, some guy came in here earlier and took your Dad's diary out of your bag and put some note in it before he ran off. I didn't even get a chance to say anything and everyone's been gone so no one else can check."
I blinked at and turned back to my bag which sat with the rest of my stuff off to the side. I saw my father's diary was out on the bed next to it and some paper was sticking out of it. I opened to the book entry and found it was placed in an empty place behind my dad's last note. I pulled out the note and quickly start to glance over it when I caught on to the content and gasped before reading more thoroughly and starting back at the beginning.
"Vi? Is something wrong?" Alex's words went in one ear and out the other.
Violet, my dear sweet daughter… the bravest warrior of all time…
I hurried back over to my pokemon and woke them. "All of you! Get up! Get up!" My pokemon startled awake and began to question me if I was alright, but I silenced all them. "All of you get up! We got somewhere to be!"
You've fought and put your life on the line to save others… I wouldn't expect anything less of my daughter…
"Violet! Where are you going? VIOLET!" Alex's screams didn't pierce my skin as I grabbed a hold of Amethyst and she broke through the window and all my pokemon followed me outside and began our long flight back to the Kanto region main land.
And now I think that its time you knew… that you knew where I am, where to find me… to be honest, it's probably past time, but I've become a paranoid freak…
My fists gripped Amethyst's horns as she glided on the wind. "Hurry girl! I need to see him!" Tears slipped from my eyes as I felt the note in my back pocket safely tucked away.
Though a warning to you, I still live with Mewtwo and Mew, the two of them might face you when you get here… it's my only warning to you, but I'm willing to bet you'll come anyway…
The earlier morning sun was right in my eyes, but I ignored that burning and held my body closer to Amethyst's and she glided quicker on the wind that some of my pokemon had a hard time keeping up. I returned them and we continued at the pace we were at or faster.
So here's my location, my daughter, you will find us both in the Cerulean Cave, in the deepest depths…
I felt my heard constricting from the shock and surprise and my tears flowed in a river down the side of Amethyst's neck. Wait for me…
So come find me Violet… love: Dad
Dad!
