Chapter 17: A Plan For Friendship
Back in the boys dorm, Slither, Mosshead and Dummy Girl had a plan.
They wanted to get their friendship with Thatch back. They missed him, and they were extremely lost without him. So, the three of them snuck into the dorm, hoping to see that nobody was there. To their relief, nobody was in the dorm except for Ra's cat, Golden Princess, and Casper and Thatch's mogwai, Thasper.
"Casper and Thatch are in the library, looking up mogwais so they know how to take care of Thasper." Dummy Girl explained.
"But don't you take care of a mogwai the same way you take care of any rodent?" Mosshead asked.
"You gotta remember Mosshead." Slither began. "Thasper is not just any ordinary rodent."
"Yeah, he's an Underworld rodent." Dummy Girl nodded.
Slither stares at Thasper and petted him for a moment, but grabbed Ra's cat, Golden Princess.
"Come on guys, lets see what Ra dose when his little kitty-cat is missing" Slither chuckled softly.
The trio left with Golden Princess, of course they didn't want to hurt the cat; just use it as went outside to the track and sat down, watching Golden Princess sniff around, but never going too far from them.
But what they didn't know is that Thasper followed them out.
"Why are we doing this again?" Mosshead asked.
Slither sighed in exasperation.
"How many times do we have to tell you? We're doing this to get Thatch's friendship back." Slither explained.
"Well, I don't see how stealing Ra's cat is going to get Thatch's friendship back." Mosshead told the child of Medusa.
"Just be quiet and make sure the cat doesn't get too far."
Mosshead mimicked Slither and turned his attention back to Golden Princess. This is when he noticed Thasper next to the cat.
"Hey, what's Thasper doing out here?" He asked his friends.
"WHAT!?" Slither and Dummy Girl both cried out.
They turned their attention to Golden Princess and saw Thasper walking towards the cat. Golden Princess walked to Thasper and the two animals greeted each other.
"Oh, this is bad." Dummy Girl shook.
"We gotta get Thasper back into the dorm before Casper and Thatch notice that he's missing." Slither informed.
Suddenly, they heard pounding of feet and the sound of slamming doors inside the school. They could also make the faint sound of a few students calling out the names of Golden Princess and Thasper.
"Something tells me they already found out." Mosshead told his friends,
"Now what do we do?" Dummy Girl asked Slither.
Slither was walking around in circles, trying to figure things out. He suddenly had an idea and clapped his tentacles.
"Now, we return the pets." Slither answered.
"Really?" Mosshead said exasperatingly. "First you wanted to kidnap the cat, and now you want to return her."
"We'll return both the cat and the mogwai." Slither informed him. "We'll lie to them and say that we found them near the spiritual hole, about to fall in, when we caught them just in time. It's sure to get Thatch's friendship back."
Mosshead and Dummy Girl thought it over, then nodded.
"Alright. Let's do it." Dummy Girl agreed.
"Yeah, let's do it." Mosshead also agreed.
