Chapter 22: The Truth Is Out

Casper had everything ready. He made sure no one was going into the woods where he set up the picnic. Everyone had made sure to make Thach as happy as possible (Ra threatened to go mummy magic on anyone that doesn't).

"Surely, this will make him happy." Casper said to himself.

What he had laying on the blanket were baby themed foods.

Baby Back Ribs, Baby Shrimp, and Baby Corn.

"Maybe he'll get the idea." Casper hoped.

Casper then turned and flew back to the school, looking for his loving little bat.

"Thatch!" He called out. "Thatch! Are you here?"

"Hey Casper." Thatch flew up to him. "What's up?"

"I believe it's time we had a date night." Casper said to him. "I've placed a lovely picnic for us in the woods. Would you mind?"

"Of course not." Thatch laughed. "I thought it was time too anyways."

Casper smiled, playfully kissed him on the cheek and started to race to the spot. Thatch, a bit love struck for a moment was already losing, as he flew in place for a moment. But he easily caught up with Casper.

"No fair ya know." Thatch laughed. "You got a head start."

Casper smirked and blew a kiss, making Thatch blush deeply and have to slow down, to remember how to fly.

Casper laughed and raced ahead, easily reaching the picnic first.

"Beat ya." He laughed as Thatch flew down and transformed.

"Bish." Thatch pouted, but then laughed.

Casper smiled innocently, kissed his cheek then gently grabbed his hand, pulling him over to the picnic.

"Tonight, we are having a simple themed meal." Casper told his lover.

"Oh boy, what theme?" Thatch asked.

"Baby Back Ribs, baby Shrimp, and baby corn." Casper answered as they sat down.

Thatch thought for a moment… then turned to Casper.

"Finger foods?" Thatch guessed.

"Uh-uh." Casper shook his head. "Guess again."

"You know I suck at these games, Casper." Thatch rolled his eyes, wrapped his arms around his lover and started to shower him in kisses, deciding he was already done with Caspers guessing game.

Casper whined for a moment but quickly forgot the guessing game when Thatch started to kiss him.

"Alright fine, I'll tell you." Casper giggled.

Thatch sat down and waited patiently.

"Just don't freak out ok."

"I won't freak out… why would I freak out?"

"Because… because…" Casper studdered.

"Casper, what is it?" Thatch asked worriedly.

"Thatch… I- I-... I can't do this!" Casper turned away and cried into his hands.

Thatch got to his feet, pulling Casper into his arms. Casper rested his head on Thatchs shoulder, sobbing. Thatch cooed comforting words. Thatch sat down, Casper in his lap, holding Casper as close as he could. Casper whimpered, carrying his face on the crook of Thatch's neck.

"Casper… Casper relax… Listen to me… I love you, understand. Nothing will change that. Nothing will ever change our love. Now, what is so bad that it's making you cry?" Thatch gently kissed Casper, wiping the tears away.

Casper sniffed and sighed, trying to find the right words.

"Thatch… I'm… pregnant."

Silence.

Utter silence….

For the first 3 fucking seconds.

Thatch smiled widely and kissed Casper on the lips, barely able to control his joy. Him and Casper, going to have a child! Their own baby! Proof of their love for eachother…

Thatch pulled back, having the biggest smile a vampire could have.

"Casper! This is great news!" Thatch showed Casper with kissed once more, making his sweet ghost giggle softly.

"So," Casper started when they broke apart. "You're not mad?"

"Mad?!" Thatch was shocked. "Why would I be mad?" Thatch gave Casper one last kiss before settling down, letting his head rest on Casper's shoulder.

"So, is it a boy or a girl?" Thatch asked.

"I don't know." Casper answered. "I only found out this morning."

"Do you think we should see the nurse to find out?"

"Do you think she'll approve?"

"What choice does she have? We're not going to abort, right?" Thatch asked worriedly.

"Of course not!" Casper thought about it. "Alright, we'll see the nurse."
