That's right! It's back! After SO many months, this story is BACK! Man, I haven't written for this for so long. Anyways, my writing style has somewhat changed and gotten better, but it will still make a lot of sense. I hope.
Wish me luck!
Barry was talking with some of the guys, Swizzle, Rancis, Gloyd, and Jerry, making a few fourth wall jokes. That was one thing about Barry; he was super funny, and he made a ton of fourth wall jokes. Most of them were about the amazing powers of being an OC. Well, they made everyone laugh, especially Bubblina.
Swizzle spoke after everyone finished laughing at one his jokes about how the recolors barely make an appearance in any Fanfiction. "Hey, Barry, what do you think of Beezle?"
Barry blushed, which was very noticeable against his pale skin. Despite only being here for a few days, it was easy to tell that the Bubblegum-themed OC had feelings for the Eskimo racer.
Could you blame him? She had beautiful black hair that looked as soft as silk, ice-blue eyes, and soft, "frostbitten" skin. Barry smiled once he thought of her rosy cheeks, something that made her even more adorable. Adorabeezle's personality was something else. She may be no Jubileena, but she was pretty friendly. She was constantly smiling and helping others.
Barry was so busy thinking of the Ice Pop-themed racer, he didn't notice the fingers snapping in front of his face at first. After a few moments, he came back to reality.
Rancis was snapping his fingers, trying to get Barry's attention while hiding a smirk. The peanut butter boy acted the same when he first started crushing on a certain snarky and sarcastic president. True, Swizzle and Gloyd still teased him, but he could get them back with their crushes on Minty and Taffyta.
Yes, that's right, Swizzle got over Sticky and is now crushing on Minty. Sticky didn't mind, she had been trying to get Minty and Swizzle together for months.
Barry blushed harder when he came back to reality, only to be met with 4 boys laughing at him. Well, Jerry was more just chuckling, since he had a crush on Barry's little sister. He prayed to Mod that the Bubblegum-themed racer didn't find out. The Gummy Boy REALLY didn't want to end up in the hospital.
Soon, the laughter died down, and they went back to talking. Gloyd was the first to speak, "Anyways, we're gonna do a couple of practice jumps, you want to come with?"
Barry was about to say yes, but right then, Adorabeezle walked up to him. "Hey, Barry, I was about to go on a walk. Do you want to come with?"
And with that, Barry was soon walking by his crush, laughing with her and feeling less nervous than before.
The four remaining guys chuckled to themselves, then started talking about where to go to do the stunts they regularly did. It wasn't until Swizzle turned to ask Jerry a question that they realized he wasn't with them anymore.
After looking and glancing around, they saw him near a giant rock, looking around it. Swizzle rolled his eyes and walked up behind him. He looked around the rock and smirked at what he saw.
It was Bubblina and Honey, laughing and talking, not realizing they were being watched. Jerry sighed, a goofy smile on his face.
"Jerry, what are you doing?"
Jerry jumped and hid behind the rock, grateful that Bubblina didn't see or hear him. After a few seconds, he got up and dragged Swizzle back to the group, where he was teased and laughed at.
Jerry rolled his eyes and reminded each one of the boys about stupid stuff they did with their crushes. That shut them up, and they all started to walk to their favorite stunts area. Before they left, Jerry had an idea. "Actually, you guys go ahead. I just remembered that I had something to do."
The other boys shrugged and left, leaving Jerry by himself. Once he was alone, he ran home and started packing a picnic basket full of food and snacks. Bubblegum flavored-soda, which he had learned was Bubblina's favorite, some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made with his favorite jelly, a few packs of gummy bears and gummy worms, napkins, a blanket, and an umbrella. He looked over everything before realizing something and he packed two slices of chocolate cake in.
Jerry smiled and nodded before closing the basket and heading over to Bubblina's house. He knocked on the door and waited there for a few moments before Bubblina opened the door, her smile brightening when she saw it was Jerry. "Hi, Jerry! What are you doing here?"
Jerry smiled back, "I was wondering if you wanted to go on a... uh, picnic with me. Um, you know, to welcome you to Sugar Rush." Okay, he was going to say "date" at first, but that would be too weird. She just got here a few days ago, and suddenly, a boy she barely knew asked her out? He didn't want to scare her! Then again, she did tell him one of her biggest secrets.
Bubblina was trying her hardest to not squeal and jump up and down. She was just sort-kinda-maybe-but-not-really asked out by her crush! She realized she hadn't responded yet, and she vigorously nodded her head, making Jerry's smile even bigger.
Jerry mentally danced and motioned for her to come, "Come on, I have it packed, and I know the perfect place."
"Okay!" was Bubblina's reply. Soon, the pair left, talking and laughing about random stuff.
They soon arrived at the "perfect" spot, and Jerry wasn't kidding when he said it was perfect! A waterfall made from sugar water was there, flowing into a river. Near the bank, some mud that was made from chocolate was there, next to some flowers that seemed to also be made out of chocolate, representing some roses. Cotton candy clouds filled the sky, somewhat protecting them from the heat of the sun, and you could see the Sugar Rush sign in the distance.
Jerry chuckled upon seeing his new friend's eyes widen and hearing her gasp. "So, do you like it?"
Bubblina smiled, "It's beautiful! Where did you find this?!"
"I was practicing some stunts when I fell in the river and couldn't get back to shore. Luckily, I know how to swim, so I was able to stay afloat. I soon fell off that waterfall, and then," he gestured to the scene before him, and the girl nodded, understanding the story.
Suddenly, Bubblina remembered her older brother, and how scared he would be if he saw she wasn't home. "Um, Jerry, I have to make a call real quick."
Jerry nodded and started to get the picnic ready, while Bubblina ran off, making sure she was out of hearing range. She dialed Barry's number, waiting for him to pick up. After 3 rings, he did. "Hello, this is the most amazing OC ever. Who is this?" was his greeting and Bubblina rolled her eyes.
"Barry, it's me."
"Oh, hi, Bubblina. What are you doing?" When she heard this, Bubblina froze. She couldn't say she was on a picnic with Jerry, her brother would confuse it as a date and he would kill Jerry! She didn't want that! "Oh, I'm with Honey, and I might be home a little later than usual."
She mentally punched herself for lying, but before she could say the truth, Barry spoke. "That's fine, just be home before bedtime. Love you, sis."
"Love you too, bro. Bye." And with that, the two hung up, Bubblina staring at her phone for a few moments before heading back to Jerry.
When she got there, Jerry had just finished setting up everything and Bubblina sat down. They soon begin eating, laughing and talking, not a care in the world.
Jerry opened his pack of gummy bears and smirked. "Hey, Bubbles?"
Bubblina rolled her eyes, mentally cursing Barry for calling her that, since everyone was calling her that now, and she looked at Jerry. "Yea, Jer-" That was as far as she got before a gummy bear hit her in the face. She looked at the snack on the ground for a few seconds before looking back at a smirking Jerry. She sent him a smirk too. "Oh, it's on."
The next few minutes including two kids hiding behind random stuff, ducking and avoiding flying gummy bears until they soon ran out. They laughed as they returned to the purple and blue striped blanket Jerry had brought, panting a little from all the running.
Now, neither one could explain what happened next. First, they had just stopped laughing and looked each other. Then, they slowly started to lean in. Finally, they kissed, the world disappearing around them. Both of their minds were yelling at them, saying they had only known each other for a few days, but their hearts were beating their minds, making them stay.
Neither of them noticed a swirl-pop themed boy watch them from the top of the waterfall. They didn't notice him take out a camera, or him taking a picture.
They didn't notice him look at the picture before smirking and running off in the direction of where Barry's house was.
Okay, now before you guys yell at me and come after me with an angry mob, I just wanna say that I'm sorry. I hope you guys liked the chapter!
