Hey, this one is actually a story! With dialogue and every thing! And it has Casey in it! I love interactions between Donnie and Casey, and with a theme like Rivalry, this was a given. Enjoy the story!

They aren't mine.

4. Rivalry

It was no secret that Donnie and Casey were in a competition. The competition wasn't for one thing, rather it was for everything. Everything was a competition, from eating to fighting for April's hand. In the scheme of their relationship, the last bit had lessened quite a bit, as they were so focused on everything else they could possibly be better at. Sure, if something happened to put them ahead, they'd gloat, but neither of them tried much harder then being the first to sit next to her or the first to say good job. They were much to focused on their own relationship to worry about making a new one. Of course, they still wanted her, and wouldn't say no should she ask them, but around each other, they had other things to worry about. Like video games.

Both teens were leaning towards the television, pushing buttons and triggers. The game itself was a generic race game, one with a thousand versions that you could buy anywhere. There were only five different cars, and upgrades were impossible, but to them, it was the most important race in existence. The others had long since gotten bored of the shouted "Best six out of ten!" and had long since moved on to other, more entertaining things to do. Only April remained, and even she wasn't paying attention, working on a report Casey swore he'd finish as soon as he won.

"Yes!" Casey yelled, crossing the finish line a tenth of a second before Donnie. "In your face!" He stood, ready to gloat over whatever pizza they had, only to be yanked back down.

"Best seven out of twelve." Donnie started the game up again, begrudgingly writing a tally mark on the paper they had started to keep count. Casey didn't even get a chance to grab his remote before Donnie pressed start, leaving him fumbling to start as Donnie drove off.

"No fair! You started before I was ready!" Finally back on the road, Casey struggled to catch up. Growling, he grabbed Donnie's arm, knocking the controller to the ground. Cackling, he focused on the television screen. By the time Donnie started up again, the two were neck and neck.

"This round only counts if I win!" Donnie elbowed Casey's arm, reaching for the controller as he struggled to control his own car. His efforts were in vain, as his car spun across the road and crashed into Casey's, both careening into the side of the road before bursting into flame. "Aw, look what you did!"

"Me? You're the one crashed into me!" Casey yelled back, throwing his controller down. "Which means I won that round!"

"No way! I was dominating you!" Donnie protested, mirroring the other's actions. The two continued to stare each other down until April glanced up.

"Casey, shouldn't you be doing homework now? I wasn't tutoring you to watch you play video games." The two stared at her for a moment as if just noticing she was there. Eventually, Casey glanced back at Donnie, a small smile playing at his lips.

"Best eight out of fifteen?"
