Chapter 33
(I do not own Supernatural or Twilight. Please read and review. I appreciate it.) I apologize for late postings. I've been having some health issues. Not fun. Getting there! Author note: I literally got chewed out for this chapter within 10 minutes of posting. I'll I can say is I'm not taking it where you might think. I for one am Christian. Just because I am doesn't mean we can't respect and observe other's belief's. It's just a case that's all. I for one do not judge one by their religion it's ridiculous.
"Well I'll be a rootin' tootin' son of a gun." Dean remarks as they enter Texas borders.
"Cute." Jo remarks as she rolls down the window and spits her gum out.
"I thought so."
"Do ya feel lucky punk? Well do ya?"
"Wow… were those movies even filmed in Texas?"
"Nope try Spain babe."
"Huh, so that was all completely pointless?"
"I don't see it that way."
Dean rears back though as Cass passes him.
"What the hell?"
Jo rolls her eyes already knowing what's coming. Dean clears his throat and hits on the accelerator.
"I knew it!" Jo remarks bitterly.
"What? I taught the son of a bitch to drive. Now he thinks he can pass me? Hella no!"
"Ugh! Grow up Dean."
"Nah, you grow up. I'm happy right where I am."
Dean smiles and rolls down the window as he keeps up with Cass.
"Nice try buddy!" Cass looks to him oddly, but keeps driving.
"HA!" Dean says as he passes him and switches lanes.
Bella rolls her eyes.
"Floor it Cass baby."
"What?"
Bella smiles.
"Hit the gas."
He shrugs, but puts his foot to it.
"There you go, now pass my idiot brother."
"Why do you want me to do that?"
"Because no one outdoes us Cass."
He smiles and nods.
Bella rolls down her window as they pass.
"YA JERK!"
Dean rears back at this.
"Ah, hell no!"
Cass completes the pass and switches lanes. Bella laughs.
"Awesome." She says leaning back with satisfaction.
Bella looks out the window. She rears back remembering the files to this case.
"Wait… Cass baby pull over."
He nods and pulls over. Bella takes out the file, reading through the witness's description. Bella looks to the hill.
"This is it." She says softly.
Bella gets out of the truck skimming over the area. Dean takes notice and he too gets out of the car. Bella takes it upon herself to climb over the wired fence. "Bells!" Dean scolds as she takes off towards the hill. The area they were in looked to have had a grass fire as of recent. Everything was dead and there still remains of ash about the ground, once Bella makes her way to the top of the hill. Her eyes narrow as she sees the giant cross about the ground. The points to it as if constellations of stars; she counts the points to the cross, four down, three across. Cass follows and Dean rolls his eyes.
"Idiots, this is private property and Texas! Everyone has a damn gun!"
"So do we." Jo reminds.
Dean shrugs his shoulders.
"Still…"
Cass looks towards the sky as Bella continues about. Bella starts back down the steep hill. Cass reaches out breaking her slide as she steps on a loose rock.
"Didn't see that, thanks." He nods as they finish making their way down.
Dean and Jo make their way over, as Cass and Bella are walking around the giant cross embedded into the ground.
"Orion…" Bella says softly and Cass looks over at her as she continues to circle the cross.
"Perseus, Cassiopeia , Andromeda … But why?" She says looking to her husband.
"Why is Orion in the middle of the cross?"
"Jesus Christ, you're like a full blown GEEK! How the hell did you know all that?"
Bella ignores her brother. She runs a finger along the dirt and soot. The cross was embedded a good foot into the earth.
"What could have made this?" She mutters softly.
She makes her way to the center. Cass continues to look around; he wasn't sure how to answer her question. Even he hadn't a clue what this was.
Bella comes back up.
"Orion a hunter a hero in Greek mythology, he was first introduced in the in Homer's epic the Odyssey, where Odysseus sees his shadow in the underworld."
"Seriously, stop reading so damn much!"
"It'd do you some good D!" She fires back.
"Perseus though was a demi-god." She sighs.
"He was the one that killed Medusa and rescued Andromeda from the monster sent by Poseidon."
She walks over to the other side of the cross. She runs her fingers along the embedding
"Cassiopeia." She smiles.
"A Queen beautiful, but also arrogant and vain, her self-centeredness was her demise. This also brought the wrath of Poseidon. She was also Andromeda's mother. She was jealous of her own daughter's beauty. She was a real bitch." Jo laughs.
"Sounds like it."
Cass listen's to everything Bella says trying to piece it together.
"Pisces…"
"Fish." Dean says surprising her.
Bella raises her brows surprised her brother knew that.
"Very good D!"
He shrugs.
"Two fish connected, swimming opposite directions." She confirms.
"So wise ass what does it all mean?"
Bella shrugs.
"I read D. I don't solve Greek clues."
"Not even for a Scooby snack?" Jo teases.
Bella laughs.
"Fraid not." Bella starts taking notes and pictures.
"So we got Orion middle, Perseus east, Andromeda west, Cassiopeia north, Pisces south."
"So which way do we go?" Jo questions.
"If that's even what it's telling us." Bella says in thought.
"They're waiting on us."
Bella nods, she crouches over once more and scoops up some of the particles in a Ziploc bag. They head back to their vehicles. Once Cass and Bella are in the truck, Bella turns to Cass.
"Cass?"
"Yes?"
"Is Greek mythology ever discussed in Heaven?"
He shakes his head.
"I can't comprehend the cross. What does Christianity have to do with Greek Mythology?"
Bella looks to her notes again as Cass starts the truck. He follows Dean out.
"Darkness…" She says and he glances over.
"They both began in darkness, both blamed a woman…"
Her jaw rather drops.
"God/Zeus, Eve/Pandora, Forbidden Fruit/Pandora's box, Genesis/Tripp." She laughs.
"Amazing… the similarities stare you right in the face!"
"I'm afraid I do not understand."
"You're not familiarized to Greek Mythology. You should read it sometime. You'd probably get a kick out of it."
Once they arrive Dean meets Bella at the window.
"It seems you know more about this. Geek girl, so why don't we hand ya the case? We'll hold off until we know more. We don't need to go in like s.w.a.t."
"Hello this is Agent Todd and I'm Agent Jackson."
They flash their badges at the tall muscular, tanned, blonde haired man. He tilts his head slightly, his gaze mainly upon Bella.
"I'm afraid you've been misinformed. You're no longer needed, should have been here a few days ago."
He goes to shut the door, but refrains his eyes fix back onto Bella. Cass takes notice of how the man looks upon his wife.
"On second thought, why don't you come on in?"
He opens the door. Cass looks to Bella something's not setting right within him.
"What did you say your name was Ms?"
"That's Mrs. Jackson."
Bella says looking around the huge house.
"And your name sir?"
He smiles.
"Percy."
Bella narrows her eyes at this.
"Percy?"
The man rather laughs. Bella turns to Cass as the man takes her by the arm.
"I wish to show you something."
Cass keeps a close eye on the man. He didn't trust him. The man hands Bella a golden box with some sort of inscriptions on it.
"It's beautiful." Bella says running her hands along the solid gold box.
Cass rears back remembering something she'd said earlier.
"Go on open it."
The man says leaning into her ear. Cass puts his blade to Percy's back as Bella opens the box.
A gust of suctioning wind comes about the room. Cass's eyes widen as both Percy and Bella get sucked into the box. The box lands on the floor the lid back on it. His heart races not knowing what to do.
"Bella!"
Bella opens her eyes. Her hands are chained and she's wearing nothing, but an ancient white silk robe that's hardly hiding much. She takes notice they're on some sort of island. The rock she's on is in the sea. The waves are splashing up against her feet every so often.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" She growls out.
Percy stands before her.
"I apologize, but it was the only way. I must get her back."
He caresses her cheek.
"What are you talking about and where are we?"
"Think of it like this. You're saving a life of someone that I dearly love. I'll do whatever it takes to get her back."
Bella half laughs shaking her head.
"Let me guess Andromeda?"
"Ah, yes our history is quite spread amongst your kind. Yet we were cast away as though we were merely nothing."
She rears back at this confused.
"We were here first! This world is not yours!"
"Um yeah ok, and to think, you were one of my favorites."
Percy rears back at this curiously.
"Was I? How interesting…"
"Yeah, apparently the stories are nothing more than stories."
"Hmm, well I hate to be rude, but I must go. I will return shortly. I assure you you're safe here."
"Why do you have me chained up like some sort of freaky S & M shit!"
"It is how we first met."
"You mean Andromeda!"
"Precisely, I wish to remind her of my love and devotion!"
"And what of mine to my husband?!"
Percy narrows his eyes swinging his sword about.
"Ah, that explains why he had a blade to my back. Agents huh?"
Bella smiles at this.
"You're damn right!"
"Well once again I apologize, but I can assure you. You will serve a much higher purpose now. Once we are done you will be a Goddess."
"You idiot, you've no a clue who your fucking with!"
"Your husband is merely human. I do not concern myself with such threats. That and you're a lady. It's time you act like one. She will fix that. Goodbye, for now."
"Perseus!"
He freezes in his tracks.
"I wanted to apologize ahead of time."
"For?"
"When my man takes your heart."
He has a good laugh at this.
"I kind of like you. You got spirit. Much faith in your husband as well, I can admire that. However, I am a god. Is your husband?"
He wanders off and Bella struggles against the cuffs.
"This is BULLSHIT! I think I prefer Loki from Norse! At least you know what to expect!" She shouts bitterly.
"You're fucking kidding me right? I thought the box was supposed to unleash evil! Not suck you inside!"
Dean says as Jo looks it up.
"I witnessed it myself. She and the man both are in here." Cass undoes his tie and throws off his jacket.
"I need to find a way to get her out!"
Dean looks at what Jo's pulled up on the laptop.
"You're kidding me. That can't be right! Wasn't actual Hell enough?!"
Cass narrows his eyes at this.
"What do you mean Dean?"
"Some believe that the box is now a portal to Hades's world."
"Hades?"
"Greek's Lucifer."
"That doesn't exist." Cass says.
"Well apparently something's up."
"It doesn't matter. I have to find a way! Either we get her out or I go in!" Cass demands.
"Then how do we get you both back out?"
"I will find a way. All that matters is I find a way to her."
Dean nods.
"OK then. Let's figure out how to get you in the box."
