The next video started off following Mirai down to the ground floor (first floor?) and looking for Chihiro's room, before knocking on it. There was no answer, so Mirai ran back upstairs again. Reuben wondered why Mirai didn't just use her random sneakiness to break into the room, when he remembered that she was keeping her fists clenched around something.

Mirai was shown to dart into the changing room of what Reuben understood to be a 'public' bath, and she stayed there a while, but soon came back out again. She looked annoyed. Then, she trudged around the school until she found Eirik and Kyouko in the library.

"Do you have evidence bags?" she asked.

Kyouko and Eirik looked up at her.

"Why do you need them?"

"What are you holding, Mirai-Chan?" Eirik had noticed her clenched fists, as diligent a brother as always.

Mirai held her fists out and uncurled them. She appeared to be holding bundles of hair. Some blue, some black, and a few other colours.

"Whose hair is that?" Kyouko asked curiously.

"Sleeping people in the secret dorms."

"Excuse me, what?" Eirik was baffled. Reuben was also baffled, even though he knew what Mirai was on about.

"Ishi and Kasuragi found a secret corridor behind a wall. It had dorm rooms, just like ours. I snuck in and found sleeping people. I pulled their hair for evidence. Monobear got mad. He didn't want anyone there." She deposited the hair on the table, and her fingers started typing in the air again, relieved.

"Sleeping people? You sure they're asleep? How old did they seem?"

Maybe they're the missing older year students? But that'd be ridiculous , right?

Mirai shrugged.

"They weren't dead." Was all she said. Kyouko regarded her, and then nodded.

"Okay. I'll keep a hold of this then. Thank you."

Mirai just made a noise, and disappeared out of the room rapidly.

The scene changed at that point to show Kosuke on one of the floors that Reuben hadn't seen before-it was one that hadn't been open until Monobear had announced the opening of all the rooms for the final investigation. He didn't seem sure of himself, drifting in and out of classrooms and what appeared to be different types of studios, until he saw one room labelled as 'Biology Lab.'

Except that was the most misleading title ever, for the room was nothing more than a morgue.

"Okay…" Kosuke wondered aloud. "Infirmary I get, but this…?"

He went straight to the small doors set into the wall, and pulled one open. He then pulled a metal tray out halfway, and Reuben realised that this was where the bodies were kept.

How depraved is that? Why keep them where they could be discovered?

Kosuke opened all the doors, then did a quick body count, and discovered that all the murder victims, as well as the executed culprits, were there. For some reason, the bones of Kyouko's father were not there, but Shika's body had been transported there somehow, without any of them noticing. Reuben wondered where Emi's cardigan had ended up. Or even if she would want it back.

The next door he opened did not reveal a tray with a body. Instead, it had a handwritten note. Kosuke picked it up, and Reuben could see that the handwriting was girly-hearts and smiley faces everywhere, and a general freeness about the font of the note, all penned in bright pink ink.

"Who murdered Mukuro Ikusaba?" Kosuke read out, as if trying to phonetically process the information.

Mukuro Ikusaba? That isn't one of the names of the students…but I could have sworn I heard it before.

Reuben couldn't remember, and shook his head in annoyance. Kosuke also seemed annoyed, and simply shoved the note in his pocket and left the infirmary, at which point the scene changed to show Makoto in what looked to be a locker room. Some of the grey lockers were dented, and the room was enough of a mess to infer that some sort of struggle had gone on. Makoto went to try and open a locker, but he couldn't.

"Damn!" makoto leaned against the locker, and then appeared to remember something, for he reached into his pocket and pulled out his ElectroID, before using it to scan the very unusual locks of the lockers. Sure enough, it worked.

"Fujisaki-san is officially a genius!" Makoto declared aloud. Reuben stifled a laugh. Chihiro's talent had long been established.

Makoto peered into the locker. There was a mirror affixed to the back of it. Movie posters were also plastered to the walls of the locker, and there was a very expensive looking make-up bag sitting in the locker on top on some notebooks that looked pristine. Sure enough, when Makoto flicked through them, there were barely any notes.

"This must be Tamuro-san's …We haven't had any lessons though…" Makoto murmured. But he seemed to doubt his own words.

Reuben then watched as Makoto sampled a few more lockers. One yielded more make-up, stray underwear, various magazines and what looked like condoms-clearly, this was Marvin Karin's locker. Kosuke Kobayashi's locker had exercise books with diligent notes, a hefty medical encyclopaedia, and a photo of a woman who appeared to be his mother. Janus Abandonato's locker was plastered with photos-of various plays he had been in, of himself, of his classmates (both at Hope's Peak and a place Reuben presumed was his previous school), of Suzu. Little notes from Suzu fluttered out of his notebooks. That made Reuben smile. Even before all this mess had started, Janus and Suzu had been drawn to each other. On top of these were what appeared to be play scripts and two different face masks , each an elaborate burgundy , gold and black creation. Arisa Ishi was also a diligent note taker. Her locker was neater overall, but for some reason she had left a pair of red pumps in there.

But Kyouko Kirigiri's locker took the award for neatest locker. For it had been entirely cleaned out. All that was in there was a photograph of a young Kyouko in the arms of a man who was presumably her father-he was swinging her around in the air and she was laughing in a way the current Kyouko did not. The photo affected Makoto too, for he stared at it for a long time before picking up the folded note that was half tucked into the frame.

The moment Reuben caught a glimpse of the handwriting the note was written in; he knew it wasn't Kyouko's at all. It was from Monobear (or rather, the person behind the bear, for he didn't quite buy into the bear having any writing abilities).

Quite simply, it said.

"Who is Mukuro Ikusaba?"

Now, isn't that the ultimate question? But what does this person have to do with anything?

After Makoto had made sure the note was safe, he closed all the lockers respectfully and wandered out of the locker room, and headed to one of the classrooms on that floor.

Janus was also in that classroom. Or rather, he was in the door way.

"Hey, Jay-kun!" Makoto said. Janus nodded distractedly. Makoto came into the doorway and peered in.

The classroom was in an even worse state of disarray than the locker room. Tables and chairs had been knocked over; pages ripped from exercise books carpeted parts of the floor. And there were bloodstains on the door.

"This…this is despicable." Janus said woodenly. Makoto nodded in agreement.

"If you want, I'll take a look in here."

"I…sure. " Janus blinked confusedly at him. Then, he walked off without saying another word. Makoto shook his head good-naturedly and went into the classroom.

"Looks like a riot." He observed aloud. Something caught Reuben's eye about the arrangement of some of the tables, and Makoto noticed it too, for he headed to the tables, which brought the focus on to them. Now Reuben could see that the tables had been arranged into a makeshift fort, of sorts. At the very least, someone could huddle under there.

And someone had. For there were crisp packets there. And what appeared to be a small bonfire.

"Huh?" Makoto bent down and retrieved a notebook from the ashes. It was intact. Makoto opened it, and flicked through. As he did, he murmured various words, as if connecting a puzzle.

"Entrance ceremony…personalities…if he recognises his own daughter? Oh, this must be Kirigiri-san's notebook!" Makoto continued his trail of verbal thought. "Investigation…Me! She mentioned me! Erm…Ishi-san's sister….eh? Junko Enoshima? As in, the model? Oh, what happened to the next pages….ah! More writing…but she ended mid-sentence. "Makoto sighed, and closed the notebook.

He regarded the space that was created by the tables, and Reuben did the same, all with a feeling of dread swirling in his head. He paused the video and turned to look at his pin board. Junko Enoshima stared at him, grinning from her photo. Suddenly, that face was not so pretty. But he still was not sure why.

He turned back, and replayed the video. Makoto sighed again, and knelt down to look closely at the space.

"It's so cramped…did she hide in here? From what, though? She was scared…..does she remember?"

Then, Makoto got up and left the room. Reuben assumed he intended to find Kyouko.

The scene changed to show Arisa in her room. She had a bag open on the bed, and she was running around putting things into the bag. A few notebooks, pens, calculator, a bundle of letters, tablet computer, cardigan, a water bottle. After she had done so, she slung the bag across her body, and adjusted it. She contemplated her room for one last time, then ran to her cupboard and dug deep into another bag before bringing out some chocolate bars and taking her bag off to put them in. Then, she put her bag back on, adjusted it, and left her room.

When she came out, other people were also coming out of their rooms-Janus, Emi, Eirik, Akihito and Chihiro. All of them were carrying some small bag or another, strapped onto them so they had their hands free. They looked at each other in surprise.

"It's as if we're a collective mind!" Akihito exclaimed. Everyone gave him a look.

"I-I think it's b-because there's no coming back from this. W-Whether we win or we lose." Chihiro stated. The mood grew instantly serious again. They nodded in agreement. Just then, in perfect timing, an announcement began.

"OKAY GUYS!TIME FOR THE MOMENT OF TRUTH-WHERE EVERYTHING ENDS!PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE COURTROOM IF YOU WANT A REMOTE CHANCE OF SURVIVING!NOT THAT YOU WON'T DIE EVENTUALLY ANYWAY~UPUPU!"

The six looked at each other.

"Let's go, then?" Arisa asked. Everyone nodded again, and they began walking towards their end. And just like that, the video finished.

Reuben was too pumped to go back to bed after that, for his head was spinning, so he checked his emails. The only one worth reading was from Togami. It simply stated: We are sending police into the school soon. Escape is imminent. Your information was useful.

That made him a bit relieved, but he was still too alert to even try to sleep, so he decided to do a little research. It started off aimless, but eventually he decided to look into the history of Hope's Peak.

It turned out that the school had once been a site of a private school called Morning Glory. It had been open since the 1800s, but had closed in 1998. The reason for this closure was due to a murder. A child murder, no less. In the sense of both the victims and the culprit. But the culprit had been a bunch of drunken high-schoolers, wheras the victim was a sweet 8 year old girl with prodigal athletic abilities, who happened to be from a very poor background. The high-schoolers had also attacked the girl's brother and sister, who were the same age as her (they were triplets), but she had ordered them to escape and thus she died. Afterwards, the surviving triplets suffered through the media hounds and the trauma of trial-the fact they were poor yet clever enough to skip grades and attend a private school was a particular headline-grabber. All in all, the children were treated cruelly in the aftermath.

The names of the children were Maiko, Junko and Ichiro Enoushima. Maiko was the name of the child who had died. She was the eldest of the triplets by 15 minutes overall. The children's parents had been married, which was apparently a rarity on the estate they had been living on, but the murder and subsequent court case resulted in a divorce. The surviving triplets eventually moved away with their mother, under a new name, after being bounced from foster home to foster home for no real reason.

On one of the pages, there was a picture of the three children together. They were black haired, and had blue eyes. The girls were freckled. One girl-Maiko had shorter hair, left down. The littlest sister, Junko, had her long, thick hair in two ponytails. They looked familiar, and Reuben knew why.

The same photo had been in the case file Eirik was reading earlier.

Reuben went cold when he realised, and he went even colder when he noticed the similarity between the names Enoushima and Enoshima. Presumably the different Romanization meant a slightly different pronunciation and therefore a different set of characters. But it was enough of a coincidence for him to input 'Junko Enoshima' into an image search and zoom in on the first good photo he found.

In this, the model had her pink hair into two ponytails. Just like little Junko of the photo, but with the obvious hair colour difference. Reuben assumed the model's hair was dyed. The eyes were the same, but more seductive, and if there were freckles, they were hidden by make-up. Thus, Reuben concluded that Junko Enoshima and Junko Enoushima were the same person. He briefly wondered why her new surname would be so similar to the old , but then he remembered something from Megan's article that mentioned that Junko's name was merely a 'stage name' of sorts , as it 'sounded better' than her real name. Reuben conceded that was very clever-using a variant of her real name as her stage name, and nobody except for her and her remaining family being any the wiser.

But what's the point of me knowing this? There's nothing to suggest the importance of any 'Mukuro Ikusaba' anywhere! And anyway , does any of this even mean that Junko Enoshima/Enoushima is the culprit?

Then he noticed something about the hairbands used to hold up the model's ponytails. They were bear-head shaped bobbles. But not any old bears. One bear had a white face and was a typical teddy. The other was a black bear with evil eyes and sharp teeth. If a half was taken from each bear-face and they were put together, the result would be Monobear. Reuben was sure of it.

Holy Crap, He thought. It really is her. She's exacting revenge for her Maiko.

He shivered again, and suddenly he was tired. So very, very tired. He needed to get to bed, and soon…

Quick Reminder: the final trial will be in an as-it-happens POV , much like the bits between murders have been. Which essentially means there will be two cliff-hangers by the end of the story.

But don't worry , for there will be an epilogue that should hopefully clear some things up!
