Chapter 34

Bella struggles against the cuffs. They cut into her wrists as the chains clank against the giant rock.

"Why would he want her to relive this?!" She scoffs.

"Normal men get flowers, say sweet nothings in their ear, diamonds even, stupid Greek demi-god!"

Bella thought about what Perseus said. About how they were "here first". She knew that had to be impossible. Then again she never knew Perseus was real, if he even really was. Bella hadn't a clue what to make of all this. Things seemed to constantly surprise her as of late. Her body begin to get chills as the waves continued to hit against her body. The waves seemed to be getting bigger as well, what started off at her ankles was now just below her knees.

"You'll be safe here, he says." She rolls her eyes.

Her arms began to cramp up. Perseus had been gone for a couple hours now. The temperature was beginning to fall as was the sun. Her back was being scrapped against the rock, the cuffs began to embed into her wrists. The water now at her waistline.

"PERSEUS YOU SON OF A BITCH, YOU HAD BETTER HURRY YOUR ASS UP!"

"You were speaking?"

She looks towards him as he jumps down from a bolder into the sand.

"I'm freezing and about to drown here!"

He cocks a brow.

"You sure complain a lot."

"Gee really?"

He nods.

"It's not everyday I get tied to a huge rock, waiting for some giant sea creature, to eat me alive."

He has a good laugh at this and twirls his sword about. Perseus dives his blade into the sand and makes his way over.

"Tell me, do you disrespect your husband with such a distasteful mouth?"

"Oh save me the morality speech. You kidnapped me remember!"

"You're the one that opened the box."

"I can't believe I fell for it! I mean I knew what it was…" She shakes her head.

"I just didn't believe that…"
"Of course you didn't believe why would you? We're nothing more than myths… And yet here I stand in the flesh."

"Yeah and a dick at that."

"I do not like your tongue. You speak nothing like a lady should."

Bella has a good laugh.

"I'm a hunter not a lady."

"Hunter?"

He narrows his eyes and looks her up and down.

"You? You're quite puny for a hunter."

"Undo these chains and I'll show you one on one, just how puny I can be!"

He sighs as if irritated.

"I've not the time for childish games. Nor do I hit women."

"Oh such the hero!"

"Watch your mouth woman!"

"Now who's showing his barbaric side?"

"Come hag."

"Excuse me?!"

He rolls his eyes.

"Not you…" He turns and points towards another rock.

Bella grimaced at the sight as the being came closer. Her eyes were sewn shut, her hair the color of ashes, long, and slightly revealed her scalp as it was thinning. She wore a moth eaten cloak of what looked to be red once only now it was grayish brown with smut. Her nails were long and rough at the edges.

"Cute…" Bella mutters.

Perseus smiles.

"I'm afraid you and I have different taste in what is defined as cute."

"Funny…"

He shrugs and waves the odd looking character over.

"Andromeda sure let herself go." Bella smarts.

Perseus grits his teeth and reaches over cupping her chin.

"I said I do not hit ladies. Considering you've denied being one and claim this hunter status. I will not hesitate, if you disrespect her name again. Andromeda is by far lovelier than you can possibly imagine. You're nothing more than a peasant, in comparison."

"Then why pick me?!"

He grinds his teeth together.

"You may make up the beauty; you couldn't possibly make up her soul. You look remarkably alike. That and another factor played into my decision."

"What's that exactly?"

"You said you're last name was Jackson."

"So?"

"That's the last name I'd taken upon earth. I rather took it as a sign. I couldn't very well go around as Perseus, now could I? Now enough chit chat. It was nice meeting you. Believe me it's nothing personal."

Perseus forces her mouth open and places a vial inside.

"Nuh uh, be a good girl and swallow."

Bella shakes her head desperate to fight it. He places his hand over her mouth and his sword to her throat. Her body sails back against the rock. Bella screams out as it courses through her body.

"BEGIN NOW WITCH!"

The witch nods and begins chanting.

"PLEASE!" Bella shrieks out tears streaming down her eyes.

Immense pain continued to course through her. Perseus swallows back.

"I'm sorry." He says with narrowed eyes.

"It is the only way."

Her head starts to fly back against the rock. Perseus places his hand in the way of the hit.

"Just a bit longer love."

She shakes her head and bites upon her lip.

"You can't do this Perseus! I love him! Please!"

Perseus flinches and his hands become fists. He presses his forehead against hers.
"Then you should understand."

"NOOOO!"

Her body goes limp at her last cry. Perseus braces her against him.

"I'm so sorry…" He caresses the back of her head.

He takes a step back and wipes the tears from her cheeks.

"Forgive me young huntress." He kisses her forehead.

He turns back to the witch.

"How long?"

"Once the sun raises Andromeda will rise as well."

He nods.

"Are you certain this will work Dean?"

"Honestly?"

Cass sternly looks upon his brother in law losing his patience.

"No, but it's all we got."

Cass paces the area not pleased with the answer. He knew he had no other choice though. Dean was right.

"Perhaps you both should step out. I've no idea how powerful the suction could be."

"Ok then…" Dean takes Jo's hand about to lead her out of the hotel.

"Cass?"

Cass looks to Dean as he takes his tie off. He rolls up his sleeves.

"Bring my sister back."

Cass nods as Dean pulls the door shut. Cass twirls his wedding band about his finger. His hands nervously run about his face. He hadn't a clue what to prepare for, all he knew was, he was getting his wife back one way or another. He opens the box. He takes in a breath and takes his blade out. With determination Cass swings his blade about the box.

Great relief courses through him as he feels the pull. Cass gets sucked and falls for what seems like forever, solid pit of darkness. He braces himself as he finally makes out the ground below. He comes down in a crouch and looks around. Cass finds himself taken back by what he's wearing. He was no longer in his suit. In fact he was in a dark brown leather war kilt, sandals; he'd a shield and his dagger about him. This confused him as he looked around.

The place he landed was layered with fresh green grass, men and women walked about in white togas hardly hiding much at all, a lake resided in the middle of this paradise looking place. It reminded him of certain parts of Heaven. There were massive trees and other plant life about the area. It looked more like a giant garden. It was beautiful he found himself thinking. Yet, he was disconcerted by the fact that he didn't see Bella anywhere. He gently tapped a nearby woman on the shoulder. She smiled warmly upon him. Her hair vibrant shades of blonde, her skin seemed to glimmer amongst the bright moonlight.

"You don't look like you belong here." She smiled running a finger along his chest.

Cass took in a breath as the other women that sought her company, began to circle him as well. His eyes narrow as they too run their hands along him. He softly moves the blonde's hand away from his chest.

"I'm looking for someone."

"Aren't we all?"

He feels a hand going along his kilt. He turns back and moves it with his blade.

"I'm looking for my wife."

The girls groan and pout.

"Wife?" The blonde puckers her lip out.

"Yes Isabella Winchester, have you seen her?"

The girls giggle. Cass was growing annoyed; they were no help at all.

"We've seen plenty of women around here."

"Was she with a man?"

The girls giggle again. Cass sighs with frustration.

"Nevermind…"

He says and starts to walk away.

"Leaving so soon?"
He nods.

"Why would you want to leave Elysium?"

"Elysium?"
She smiles and reaches for his hand.

"Come… dine and drink with us."

"No one ever leaves Elysium, everything else is pretty dreary past these parts. Well besides…"

"Besides?"

"The Isles of the Blessed they are not far from here, they're within the realm." She points him the direction. "I wouldn't go past that, but even there you must be careful. Once you exit Elysium it's nearly impossible to ever return. Are you one of the reborn?"

Cass gives her a puzzled look.

"No I am not."

"So you've chosen to stay?"

"I only wish to find my wife and go back home."

"Home?" She questions with a smile and begins to braid of the other young women's hair.

"Yes, back to earth."

They each cut him a look and the woman drops her hands.

"What did you say?"

"Earth… it is my home. Well at least now it is. I'm actually an angel of the Lord."

"Zeus?"

"He's lying!"

"No one's heard from Zeus in years."

"I do not serve this Zeus you refer to. There is only one God."

The girls giggle again. The blonde however, frowns.

"Ladies…" She says and begins to walk away.

"But he's so dreamy…" One of them pouts.

"Enough, you'll get us all in trouble."

Cass looks back towards the area the woman pointed out. He glances around once more remembering what she'd said. Still he saw no sign of the man or Bella. Cass starts towards the Islands, praying he'll find her soon, and that she was unscathed.

Perseus continued to check on her pulse off and on. He blocked the tides from hitting her with his shield. Whimpers escaped her lips ever so often. Her body would twitch about every now and then. The sun was beginning to make it's way. He sighed in relief and in hopes it was finally over.

The tide begins to die down again as the sun made its way. Perseus put his shield down and turned to face her. He runs his fingers along her face. Abruptly, her body jolts back. A gasps escapes her lips.

"Shh…" He pecks her lips and gathers his sword.

He watches how the sun rises. He pays attention to the tide. Any moment now he thought…

"Bella!"

Perseus turns back towards the voice.

"Impossible." He mutters.

Cass rushes towards her. Perseus's jaw clenches tightly. Just as Cass goes to break free the chains Perseus blocks the hit with his blade.

"Not so fast."

The both of them turn however, as she shrieks out. Cass takes in the sight in disbelief. The sea monster had huge jagged teeth, foul breath, scaly greenish brown reptile like skin, he'd gills about the side of his mouth, his hands were webbed in-between, it was at least a good 12 feet tall and even wider.

"You've distracted me!" Perseus scolds Cass pointing his blade his direction.

The creature swipes one of its massive four arms flinging Perseus back. It uses one of its other hands to rip Bella out of the chains.

"NO!" Cass yells and takes his dagger across it's wrist. The creature roars out as it's hand now lays amongst the ground. Perseus looks to Cass.

"How did you manage that human?!"

Cass ignores him and swiftly goes to pick Bella up.

"Sorry I'm afraid I can't let you do that!"

Perseus says putting a blade to Cass's neck. The creature reaches for Bella again and Cass grabs her as he tucks her body beneath him and rolls away. The claws scrap against his back. Perseus dives after the beast with his sword. Once the distraction is off of Bella, Cass hastily picks her up.

"Bella…"

Cass notices her eyes are no longer chestnut, but blue. Perseus finally manages to vanquish the sea monster.

"Bella…"

Perseus shakes his head in annoyance.

"She's not your Bella. She's my lover Princess Andromeda."

Cass snaps back at Perseus.

"What have you done?! WHERE IS MY WIFE?!"

Perseus swallows back.

"What's done is done. It would be wise to go on home. I've no quarrel with you. I do apologize for your misfortune. It just so happens our wives look as though sisters. I needed her as my wife's vessel. Your dear Bella is no longer."

Cass strikes out his dagger at Perseus's heart. Perseus blocks it. The two persistently match each other's moves. Perseus smiles as they continue.

"I can see why she had so much faith in you. You're indeed a great warrior."

"Perseus?"

Perseus shoves Cass back as he hears Andromeda's voice.

"Yes?"

She looks around and rubs her arms with her hands.

"Perseus…" She reaches to her temples.

"What have you done?!"

He rears back at her words.

"Dormeda, I've brought you back. We can be together again, at last."

"No…"

Cass comes to his feet and runs his fingers along the cut on his scalp. He flinches.

Andromeda looks upon her body.

"PERSEUS!"

She staggers back.

"What have you done to this poor girl?!"

"How'd you…" Perseus says confused.

Cass looks over as well in wonder.

"I can hear her! She's still here!"

Andromeda grabs at her gut and comes to her knees.

"CASTIEL!" Bella manages to break through. Cass's eyes widen and he literally runs towards her.

"Bella!"

"HOW!" Perseus says as he paces around in confusion.

"NO this can't be happening! She's not supposed to…"

"Cass… please… I'm fading."

Cass turns to Perseus.

"HELP HER! GET HER OUT OF MY WIFE!"

Perseus continues to pace and runs his blade about the roots of his hair.

"I CAN'T!"

"YOU WILL AND NOW!"
Her eyes roll back and they become blue again.

"You're him…" She says looking upon Cass.

"You're the one she calls to."

Cass's hands trembled. His heart picked up pace, panic was beginning to take him over.

"Yes and I want her back. Make him understand. You cannot have this body as your vessel."

She turns to Perseus. Cass helps her to her feet.

"He's right. This body is not my own."

"Dormeda, please."

"No, we can't do this! They are just as in love with one another as we are."

He shuts his eyes for a moment and puts his hands about his waist in thought.

"I can't let you go, not again."
He pulls her towards him.

"I need you. Please, just make her understand. Make her see." Perseus begs.

"No it isn't right and you know this. Perseus this isn't who we are! This isn't you!"

"What was I supposed to do when your mother casted your soul away?! I LOVE YOU! YOU CAN'T JUST GIVE UP AND LEAVE ME NOT AGAIN! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG IT'S TAKEN ME TO GET THIS FAR!"

"You've found me once. You can find me again. I'm giving the girl back her body Perseus. She's dying."

"NO! DROMEDA PLEASE!"
Cass takes it all in as he watches the two. She kisses his lips, the both with tears in their eyes. Cass swallows back in thought as he watches the demi-god breakdown.

"I love you Perseus. We will find each other again."

"No…" He continues to beg.

He falls to his knees and she runs her fingers through his hair.

"This isn't goodbye…" She says and Cass catches her as she falls back.

Perseus digs his nails into the earth and lets out a cry. Cass understood his feelings, but did not agree on how he went about this. Perseus grabs the vial from his pouch. He puts it to Bella's lips.

"Open huntress."

He puts his thumb to her bottom lip and her back arches as the cloud like soul escapes her mouth. He twists the vial shut and wipes his eyes. He clears his throat and looks upon Bella and Cass.

"You're free. The Princess has spoken and it is her wish."

"Cass?" Bella says weakly.

"Yes?"
"I want to help them"

He narrows his eyes at this and Perseus cuts her an odd glance.

"How?"

"I want to help find Andromeda's body…"

Cass nods and pulls her into his chest.

"I will do whatever you wish."

Perseus over hears this. Sheer astonishment washes over him.

"I've tried to kill you and took your wife? Yet you abide by her wishes to help me?"

Cass nods and looks to him confused on the subject.

"Who are you? Both of you?" Perseus inquiries placing his blade back into his sheath.

Bella's eyes come to close.

"She needs nourishment." Cass says looking upon Perseus.

Perseus comes to his feet and looks around.

"I think I know just the place."

Cass however, grabs his arm, before following him.

"I do this for my wife! She's full of compassion. That's just how Bella is. However, at the moment I'm still quite irate at the situation. I still do not trust you. If I seek any threat to my wife I will end you where you stand. Do we have an understanding?"

Perseus grins, but slightly bows and nods.

"By all means, crystal clear sir."

Cass continues to keep a close eye out. He raises Bella's head slightly and puts a chalice to her lips.

"Drink Bella…" She nods and drinks, still her eyes do not open.

Her lips are chapped and she feels to be running fever. Perseus hands Cass a wicker basket with grapes, cheese, crackers, lamb and wine. Cass nods and places it down as he continues to encourage her to drink. Perseus places a blanket over her.

"Her body will adapt soon." Perseus says with a shrug and pops a grape into his mouth.

"You should seek nourishment as well." He says hearing Cass's stomach growling.

"Her first."

Perseus smiles at this.

"But of course."

"Cass?"

"I'm right here."

She reaches out to him as he places the chalice down. Bella wraps her arms around his neck as crouches over her.

"I'll give you two some privacy."

Cass looks upon Perseus as he leaves the area.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm ok Cass baby just tired that's all."

"Do you hurt anywhere?"

"My wrists and back."

He leans back down and grabs the bowl Perseus had set out. He takes the white cloth within the bowl of cool water. He squeezes it out along her wrist. Cass helps to adjust her gown as her breasts were starting to come out if it. It had been torn to shreds.

"You know if I wasn't feeling like hell right now. I'd really be enjoying this…" She hints running a hand along his chest. She half smiles even through the pain.

"Kind of sexy Cass."

"But I'm almost naked."

"That's the idea."

He runs the cloth along her back. Bella puts her arms around his waist as he does this. Once she pulls her hands back she sees the blood.

"Cass!" She panics.

"I am alright Bella."

She scoots back from the ground and looks upon his back. Four claw marks ran down his back.

"Cass those could get infected."

This woman however approaches them. She smiles and places her hands amongst theirs. Bella eyes the beautiful strawberry haired woman.

"A gift…" She says softly with a slight giggle.

Cass and Bella look upon each other as their wounds begin to heal. Something else overcame the both of them. Their eyes locked as they obsessively started kissing one another. Cass rips what's left of her gown off. He kisses along her neck and shoulders. Cass runs his hands along her breasts licking and sucking upon them. Bella wraps herself around him tightly, soft moans escaping her lips.

"Cass please…"

Cass throbs at her plead. He braces himself over her. Wildly his body takes over hers. This overwhelming desire came over him. He needed her and NOW. He thrusts about her roughly with intense pleasure. Bella cries out in release with each one. They make love right in the field, for hours on end, covered in unrelenting sweat.

"Thank you Artemis." Perseus says with a smile, glancing their direction

She kisses his forehead.

"Give them their privacy Perseus."

He chuckles as she skips away.
