A/N...

Remember what I said in the last chapter about no making anymore OC's? Well guess what!

I swear, by the end of this, the number of OC's I'll make will be outstanding

Warning: Yelling and politics

The gavel pounds the table, silencing the crowd of Forsaken, calling them to order. A hard faced Forsaken man stands, with Lilian, Kalira, and Death Knight Borgan Van Talen on his left and Aelthalyste, Shadow Priestess Victoria Painbinder, and Lightslayer Hiro Tombweeper on his right. "Silence!" he screeches to several of the Forsaken still mumbling. When silence has descended, the man nods, "The First Order of the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow is now in session! We have gathered here to elect a leader of our unified cult.

"Whoever would like to throw their ballot in or nominate another may do so. A majority is needed to elect the individual; 51% or 337 votes. Each member of the cult may only vote once. The nomination process is now open; stand and be heard," and with that the Forsaken man sits.

Death Knight Borgan Van Talen is the first to rise. In his blue and silver plate armour, he stands over even the tallest Forsaken. When he speaks the air around him vibrates with his voice. "I cast my hat into the ballot," he says, his deep and booming voice echoing throughout the Church of Brill. "The others here do not have the strength to lead this cult; I do. However, I will say that, if Vician was here, we would all know the outcome of this vote," and with that, the Death Knight sits.

Several of the Forsaken murmur and nod, agreeing with Borgan's words and Lilian knows she is one of them. If Vician was alive there wouldn't be need of a vote, the cult would elect him as leader and he'd be far more skilled than anyone trying to fill his boots; even Aelthalyste would have a hard time corralling the cult and she's practically been leading it. Lilian agreed to help Vician, not fill his place or run his cult.

So, you would imagine her shock, dear reader, when Kalira stands and says, "I nominate Lilian to the position. If she accepts, she will have the backing of the Dark Rangers." Kalira gives her a pointed look. Lilian sits there, wide eyed and nearly spluttering. However, Borgan interrupts, standing up as he does so.

"How is she the most qualified to run the Cult? Didn't Vician have to twist her arm to join? How will we know that she will stand up during the tough times, which will inevitably come?"

Several of the Forsaken mutter and nod, agreeing with Borgan. Kalira turns to the Death Knight, sizing him up, "Lilian is more than qualified to lead the Cult. She practically is a Lightslayer, and I know that she will do her best to lead us."

Borgan steps closer to her, his voice going deeper, as if it were possible, "What if we don't need her best? We need better than her best. We need Vician."

Kalira glares at Borgan, "No one here can fill Vician's shoes." She pokes his chest, "least of all you." Borgan squares his jaw and looks at Kalira with cold eyes, before he steps back from Kalira and sits. Kalira nods and turns back to Lilian, "Well?" she asks.

Lilian sighs and stands, her gut telling her to turn and run, to not get involved in the politics of the Cult; but she says, "I accept the nomination and will lead if the Cult calls for it."

Kalira smiles and claps Lilian on the shoulder as they sit, happy that Lilian will run for the position of Cult Leader.

Hiro Tombweeper is the next to stand. He sneers at the others, "Do you believe the lies of these fools? They are not above the murder of others. They will happily commit offensive sins against those who do not accept or agree with their twisted vision of the Cult."

He shakes his head, turning to the crowd of the Forsaken," Do not accept their lies and fallacies! They will lead the Cult to ruination. They silenced a man of vision; Ilius. He saw the corruption of the others; he saw how they will lead the Cult to ruin. What did they do? They murdered him in cold blood. They silenced the one man that would save the Cult."

As Hiro continues his long winded rant, Lilian leans her head towards Kalira, "What is he going on about?"

Kalira shakes her head and shrugs her shoulders. Borgan looks over at the pair, and leans in, his breath tickling the ear of Kalira, "Hiro was Ilius's second-in-command and a huge supporter of him," he whispers, "He blames Vician for his death. So, he would blame you by proxy."

Lilian nods, turning to look at Borgan, "What about Aelthalyste?" she whispers back to him.

"Aelthalyste was neutral through the fighting. He still does blame her for not getting involved, but Vician takes more of the blame. He holds very little support, so he is a non-issue."

Kalira looks over at the Death Knight, "You sure do know a lot about the inner factions."

Borgan looks over at Kalira with cold eyes, "I am invested in the Cult."

Kalira matches his glare, "That you are."

Hiro's voice calls their attention once again, "Look at them! Even here, they scheme and plot the destruction of the Cult, perhaps even my death!" Hiro screeches, pointing over toward Lilian, Kalira, and Borgan. The three of them glare over at Hiro, as the Forsaken man with the gavel pulls back his sleeve to look at his watch.

Hiro turns back to the crowd of the Forsaken, "A vote for me is a vote for peace and unity in the Cult, free from corruption and the oppression of others! For Ilius!" A very small section of the Forsaken cheers along with Hiro, while the rest look on in confusion.

As Hiro sits, Victoria Painbinder stands. Surveying the crowd, she folds her hands in front of her, "I nominate Aelthalyste to become the leader of our Cult. She has led the Cult while in its fractured state, and I know she has the leadership to bind the Cult together, through the good times and the bad."

Aelthalyste smiles and stands, "I accept the nomination and I will work hard to unite the Cult together."

Both Victoria and Aelthalyste sit, and the Forsaken with the gavel stands. "Any others who wish to nominate?" Silence greets him. "Good. Voting will begin in one week's time. Until that point, the nominee's may go forth and convince the members of the Cult to vote for them. This Cult Meeting as adjourned; May you bend the Shadows to you will and Dark Lady watch over us all."
