A/N: I have no real excuse for my sudden stop in updating, I think it was because I got distracted with school and other stories, and I guess my plot bunnies just up and left. But I said I wouldn't abandon this story, and no matter how long it takes for me to update I will not abandon it! The quote in this chapter is from the Hunger Games trilogy, because I love the books and JLaw. Hope you enjoy the chapter (and don't hate me!) :)
Disclaimer: Same as always.
"Wait, so what are we seeing?" Annabelle scrunched up her nose and rubbed the back of her head, looking at the TV screens, that showed the films which were on, with a small head tilt.
"Something called 'Paranormal Activity'." Kelly replied, nodding to the many posters of the film littered around on the walls of the cinema.
"Paranormal Activity? Three guesses what that's about."
"Most likely pink animated bunnies with small chicken friends who have to save the holidays."
Annabelle slowly turned her head and looked up at Kelly's blank face, her own expression equally as blank.
"Say what now?"
"Got a problem Fritton?"
"Well Jones, did I, or did I not, just hear you say 'pink animated bunnies with small chicken friends'?"
"Don't judge me on my life choices."
"Oh I am heavily judging you."
Kelly raised an eyebrow and just as slowly turned to face Annabelle, trailing her eyes over her face.
"Doesn't look like it to me."
"Oh but I am," Annabelle moved towards her, wrapping her arms around her shoulders and leaning up to whisper in her ear, "in my mind." She tapped the side of her head and winked with a smirk, which Kelly returned despite being somewhat flustered.
"Oh could you two cut it ou' for a bluddy second? I canne be dealin' wiv your constant eye sex."
"You're just angry 'cuz you've had a fight with Andrea."
"Watch it Annabelle."
"No, you watch it Taylor." Kelly stepped to the side, blocking Annabelle from Taylor's view and fists. She once again brought up her immaculate eyebrow and Taylor quickly backed down with a half hearted "Whateva". She then saw some of her Tribe and walked towards them, splitting the town residents in her way like the Red Sea in her wake.
"I can handle myself you know, I've been doing it for a while." Annabelle commented with a small lop sided grin, Kelly nodded and hummed in agreement.
"Then I suppose its time someone else helped you out, right?"
Annabelle felt something warm flutter through to her chest, and her heart rate quickened, she shook her head a little and fought of the blush, instead smirking at Kelly and nodding.
"I guess so, thanks."
"Anytime BB."
"Oh don't even start calling me that."
"Why not? Everyone else does it."
"Well you can't so shove it."
They kept up the serious expressions until Annabelle cracked, her eye twitching, and soon both were laughing.
"U-urm… excuse me?" they both looked up and at the terrified looked boy in the cinema uniform from where he was behind the counter, the pair of them having not realised that the queue they had been in had greatly dissipated until they were at the front, "W-would you like to buy your tickets now?"
"Yeah, sure." Kelly put her hand to the small of Annabelle's back and gently pushed her towards the steadily shaking boy, rubbing it gently as she did. Annabelle shivered at the feeling, and the pair of them heard a quite grumble of disgust from behind them. Kelly rolled her eyes and turned around to stare at the couple stood after them in the queue.
"Do you have a problem?"
"Must you do that here? It is a family place." The man grumbled, Kelly felt Annabelle tense and her hand slip into her own as she, too, face the couple behind them.
"Do what?" she asked, her teasing exterior from her talk with Kelly having disappeared all together.
"What you're doing now! Being gay is unacceptable behaviour, you should have more chastity."
By now the students of St Trinians who were present could hear what they were saying, and had begun to slowly move towards them with angry expressions at the way they were talking to the school's favourite two students.
Annabelle scoffed and Kelly chose to answer.
"Sorry mate, you don't own me. I don't tell you how to live your life, and I don't think it would be fair to stomp on your rights just because I don't agree with how you live. If I want to hold her hand in public, what's stopping me?"
"It is not natural, it goes against the design of humanity!" he yelled, the woman with him was shaking her head in embarrassment at his actions, neither of them having noticed the forming crowd around them nor the looks of annoyance they were receiving from other people in the open area. The boy behind the counter was on the radio and speaking quickly to the manager, growing worried.
"Oi bub," Bianca, a Chav from Annabelle's year suddenly shouted at him, "it might not be natural to you, yeah, but like, unless you is actually as old as you look, right, you weren't there when humanity was designed, so how the fuck do you know?"
The man looked appalled, and a little scared, but before he could speak a man in a suit arrived with a scowl on his face, followed by two security guards.
"Do we have a problem here? I was told that there was a conflict happening."
"Yes Sir, this man was being homophobic to these women Sir." The boy behind the counter told him, the man nodded and he looked at the man with a sigh.
"Again Mr Fanston? I thought I had already given you a warning before this."
"But this is an abomination!" he yelled, the manager shook his head and nodded to the doors.
"I am banning you from this cinema, and any other made in this chain of cinemas, for six months. Having just got off your last ban I would have thought you'd have learnt your lesson."
"I will get you sued for this!"
"It didn't work last time, so I doubt it will this time Mr Fanston. Now, please leave the premises before you are escorted out."
The man yelled and left with an angry huff, the woman looked to the two girls with sorrowful eyes.
"I'm sorry dears, he never learns." With that she left, and Annabelle felt some pity for the woman.
"Ladies, I am dreadfully sorry about this."
Annabelle sighed, "Its fine-"
"Yes, we are very upset by this." Kelly interrupted, Annabelle shot her a look but Kelly's eyes were locked on the manager.
"As you should be, so I insist that you have your tickets free of charge."
"But-" Kelly interrupted her again.
"Thank you."
The manager nodded and left, the boy behind the counter quickly printing off two tickets for the girls.
"Okay, if I wasn't already judging you before, then I am now."
"I can live with that, because we just got some free tickets." Annabelle grinned at Kelly's mischievous smirk and followed after the taller girl to the screen room with the rest of the Trinians students in tow, hands still together.
Taylor was about to follow after them when something caught her eye, she looked across the room and saw Andrea paying for some popcorn, despite her recent fall out, one of many they had experienced, she still couldn't help but think how adorable she was.
Her smile vanished a second later when the young blonde woman behind the counter held her hand for a few more moments than necessary when they exchanged money, grinning to the Emo with a disarming smile and a wink.
Rage fuelled through her veins and Taylor stormed towards Andrea, clasping her hand around the Emo's pale wrist and pulling her, perhaps a little too roughly, away from the blonde, causing the popcorn to fall to the ground in a mess.
"Taylor, what are you doing!" Andrea yelled, Taylor ignored her as they walked around the corner out of view and shoved her way into the caretaker's cupboard, locking it and pressing Andrea against the wall seconds later.
"Taylor, what-"
The Chav silenced her with a breath taking kiss, moving her hands to Andrea's waist as the Emo's arms automatically came around the Chav's neck, hands threading into hair and pulling her impossibly closer.
They pulled away, both slightly breathless and Andrea shook her head disbelievingly.
"What are you doing Tay?" she asked, softer this time.
"That bitch had her hands all over ya…" the darker skinned girl replied, leaning to the pale neck and nibbling on it.
"I thought you were done with this?"
"Well, you know 'ow much I bullshit when I'm pissed, righ'?"
Andrea snorted gently and moved Taylor's face back up to her own, once again meeting mouth to mouth.
~Ax~
Annabelle leant back in her seat and propped her legs up on the one in front of her, sighing and stretching. She looked around and noticed the lack of two people. She frowned and looked to Kelly, tilting her head.
"What's up Belle?"
"Where have Andrea and Taylor gone?"
Kelly smirked and she, too, leant further back into her seat.
"I don't think you want to know what they're doing."
Annabelle narrowed her eyes but shrugged and turned back to the screen when the certificate came up on screen.
It didn't really matter to her what they did anyway.
~Ax~
"Wow, I thought that was actually pretty awesome." Annabelle announced, loosening her grip on the chair arms and relaxing.
"Yeah, hopefully they don't fuck it up with any sequels." Kelly muttered, standing and holding out her hand for Belle to take. It had come to the end of the day and most of the shops had now closed, the Trinians girls left the cinema as a whole, chatting and gossiping about the film, how it was good, crap, brilliant, terrible, and even some saying all of the above.
The towns people had all hidden away in the safety of their homes, looking out of windows and glaring at the group of girls as they strode past, speaking loudly.
Annabelle eyed the statue of the town's founder, humming at it.
"I must admit, I am a little disappointed that I didn't get to see it fall this time. What with you bigging yourselves up about how many times it had been replaced this year alone."
Kelly sent her a sly grin and nodded to the bus, Annabelle followed her gaze to one of the school buses and saw the First Years looking incredibly pleased with themselves.
Belle barked out a laugh and gave Kelly a disbelieving look.
"When did you arrange that?"
Kelly tapped her nose with another wink and moved towards the coach; Annabelle shook her head and chuckled lightly to herself, rubbed the back of her head and jogged to catch up with the tall leggy raven haired woman.
Just then the twins ran past her and onto the coach, laughing evilly in high pitched helium voices, getting on the coach and falling over themselves to get to the seat.
Annabelle looked to where they had run from and found a small dog with pink fur and a bedazzled collar barking almost as loudly as its furious owner.
"Time to go!" she then got onto the coach falling into a seat at the front of the coach next to Kelly who brought up her eyebrow in amusement.
Then the coach started to move, and they were on the way back to school, back to home.
Kelly nodded to the window, and Annabelle turned just in time to see the statue fall face first into the dirt ground, having been sawn off of the pedestal he had been stood on.
"How do you get away with this stuff?" Annabelle asked in disbelief, Kelly shrugged her shoulders.
"They tried to get us once, let's just say it didn't go to well, and now several police officers and lawyers are most likely scarred for life."
Annabelle didn't need to ask for any details, the gleam in Kelly's eyes told her all she needed to know.
So she grinned and leant back in her seat, seeing the townspeople come out of their homes, yelling in anger.
~Ax~
"And then he gives me a smile that just seems so genuinely sweet with just the right touch of shyness that unexpected warmth rushes through me."
Annabelle slowly moved the book from up above her head where she had been holding it, and stared at the wood ceiling.
Unexpected warmth?
She felt that, earlier that day, it was a new experience. One she did not remember having felt before.
"Is that what I'm feeling?" she whispered to herself.
"Talking to yourself is the first sign of madness." Andrea suddenly said out of nowhere, Belle was so used to it now that it no longer bothered nor scared her.
"I can't help it if I'm the smartest person I know when I need good advice."
"Advice? I could help with that."
"No offence, but no."
"Ouch, that one stung."
"I said no offence."
"Still, I felt the burn."
Belle snorted and marked her page, putting the book on her bedside table and lay further into her pillow.
"Well I have got to get to bed, so, see you tomorrow."
"Nice Belle, real smooth."
Annabelle snorted and rolled onto her side, feeling as Andrea got up and off of her bed. She kept thinking about that warmth, how it made her feel.
Or rather, who made her feel like that…
But then she looked up, eyes going to the image of blue and green irises, blonde hair and happy smiles.
She could almost hear the accusation as if it were being spoken to her loud and clear.
"How could you get over me so quickly?"
Guilt replaced the happiness she had felt inside and her heart clenched. She slammed her eyes shut and rolled over to the other side of her bed, flicking off the light.
That night she went to sleep with guilt coursing through her, silent tears making tracks down her face.
