Hey Guys! Please enjoy this chapter and I have added some dino friends, like someone said. Though I already had a plan with this. So bear with me and enjoy! Oh and thanks for all the support, even though it has been a while to upload! *Bowing in apology*

The moonlight shone through every window and any puddles it could find. The moon was powerful, majestic and peaceful. It stood above us all as a ball of light, allowing us to feel calm and content. This is something Rex reminds himself every night, when staring up at the moon. He knew that looking up at the moon, made him feel safe knowing that at least someone was watching over him.

And just like every night, Rex was staring up at that ball of light. He shook his head. How stupid was he? It was silly to think that the moon was alive, or actually watching over him. Rex felt that he was probably going a little crazy from living out in the cold. He slid out of bed as silent as a mouse, darting out the room and closed the door as silent as possible. It clicked shut and Rex stood still as he heard the click echo through the hallway. He waited to see if anyone would come out from their bedrooms. But nothing stirred. He sighed softly. An annoying flash of red light beamed into Rex's eye. He frowned looking down at his ankle what held the metal bracelet strapped to his leg. He rolled his eyes in irritation.

He walked over to Mr and Mrs Taylor's bedroom. He hesitantly pushed the door open. He spots two figures in the bed. That was good, which meant no one was lurking around corners watching him. He walked in and went straight over to Mrs Taylor's dressing table to find anything useful. In a box, there were some hair pins and he took that and left, he didn't like situations like this. He couldn't handle the pressure.

After leaving the room and going back to his own. He started using the hair pin on the bracelet, he had done this so many times before. A boy at an orphanage had taught him how to take them off. After a few minutes of pushing the pin in many of the cracks, it snapped off with a click. Rex grinned in triumph. He put it under the covers, followed by a pillow as well, just in case of any night owls.

He raced through the corridor and to the kitchen. Opening the fridge, he looked inside, feeling a little guilt weighing him down. He took out the left over pork and ran over to the sliding doors that lead outside. It was pitch black outside and it felt cold standing out here for too long. He looked around nervously. The bushes and trees were like black figures watching him.

"Ace?"

The wind whipped the leaves, making Rex feel nervous. Anything could be out here. Rex struggled to see in the dark. He may have always lived on the streets, throughout the day and night, but seeing in the dark didn't come so easily. And that's when he heard it, a strangled little whimper of a noise. A little figure ran out of the bushes. A spiky head, with two horns. A spiky and scale back and tail. Its small teeth glinted in the faint moonlight.

Ace stood close by Rex, rubbing his head against Rex's leg as a sort of welcoming. Rex chuckled as he slid down and carefully placed the plate on the floor. The little thing whimpered and squealed as the food was placed down.

"Hold on boy! Not so fast." He said calmly, smiling when 'Ace' began to eat.

Ace was a dinosaur. Rex wasn't stupid, but what else could it be? Ace had the little tiny clawed hands and stood on two feet. The spiky tail swished this way and that as he continued to chow down on the food. If you thought finding a dinosaur was weird, let's just say Rex didn't find him as a dinosaur. It was a card along with a stone. Rex had always enjoyed looking through toy shop windows as they displayed the dinosaur merchandising. So when he suddenly came upon an item like this he just couldn't leave it there. It was strange. The stone was slightly curved. With a design etched into the stone, looking slightly like wind. The card was beside it. The card showed an image of what exactly Ace is, only way bigger. And if it wasn't that the symbol was on the back of the card, Rex wouldn't have put two and two together. And Ace wasn't his pet. He was his friend.

The moon hid behind the clouds as the wind settled to a soft breeze. Rex collected fallen leaves that covered the garden with it's colorful signature. He brushed them into a pile-with a broom that the family had left outside-and placed them into a small space by the side of the sliding doors.

Ace made a whining noise. "I know Ace. But you can't come in. They might go insane seeing you."

Ace stopped in front of him and gave Rex a very sparkling look. Rex frown at the look. It was hard to say no to Ace when he was like this.

Damn, my weak point.

"Okay, okay Ace. But we got to be quiet! And you don't run off alright?" He moved his head rapidly, causing Rex to chuckle.

Rex picked up the tiny dinosaur and went back inside. Ace fidgeted in Rex's arms.

"Ace, quit it!" He hissed. Ace travelled up Rex's arm till he was standing on Rex's shoulders, and had to make Rex balance carefully as he walked through the living room, towards the stairs. He knew Ace wasn't the one to be picked up, but this is ridiculous.

"You're one of a kind, Ace..."

I was going to add some more, but I leave it there. Mainly cause the way I would have ended it would have been slightly difficult...uh just take my word on it. I'm gonna go straight on the next chapter now and then publish both at the same time, or slightly near the same time and day. Hope you enjoyed this short chapter, but it was nice right?
