A/N...

Hi there, it's been a while :P. I've been busy playing like a load of civ 4 (a failing miserably xD). So, this is probably gonna be longer than 6-7 Acts because, we still have WAY too much to cover. I'd be guessing that we are 1/3rd done, if even.

After I finish with Act 3, I'll be putting out some supplementary material, to help explain the relationships, before we move forward. So, there is going to be a bit of down time in the main story. K? Good.

Warning: Use of language, drinking, hitting, yelling, and conspiracy

Walking about the Trade Quarter of the Undercity, Rili hugs herself thinking over the revelation of Vician's imposed fate. She had just gotten him back and now he was to die again? Tibarn's attack against her had waked her up to the cold, hard truth of her status. She stops and closes her eyes, making a promise to herself: no longer will she sit idly by and be a wallflower. No longer will she depend on others and blindly follow their wishes. No longer will she allow Vician to make hard choices by himself. She will save him; even if she must save him from himself.

Opening her eyes, she heads towards the inn, trying to think of a plan on how to save Vician. She realizes that she must keep him away from the Alliance, but how? As long as Vician is around, he can give the Alliance information on Taniel which, in turn, can be used to awaken Sylvanas. If she steals Vician away, he cannot give information on Taniel and the Alliance cannot awaken Sylvanas. But, if she knows her Master like she thinks she does, Vician most likely already has several books worth on information on Taniel written down somewhere in his library. If she steals Vician away, then the Alliance will have to use the books instead of Vician, and still be able to save Sylvanas!

Smiling, Rili skips into the inn, only to run into Ororan. "Oh, sorry Ororan," she says, bowing her head slightly, as the Orc turns to face her. "I was a million miles away."

Ororan smiles and gently pats Rili on the head, as if to say it's alright.

Coming to stand next to the Orc, she cocks her head at him. "What are you doing here in the inn? I thought you and Elkemin would have already left."

The Orc shrugs and motions to the scene before them. A small crowd has gathered around a table, where Elkemin is currently drinking Kaxet under it. Rili giggles as she looks at the scene, before a thought comes to her mind and looks over at Ororan. Feeling eyes on him, the Orc looks at Rili expectantly.

"I need your help," she begins, squaring her body as she looks up at him.

The Orc nods his head and motions for her to continue.

"Well," she begins, "it's about Vician. He currently has the Alliance working with him to help Sylvanas, but when the Alliance awakens Sylvanas, Vician will go with them to stand trial for his supposed crimes in Stormwind. I need to get him out of here before that."

Ororan nods his head and motions for Rili to follow him. They approach the table and Elkemin smiles and stands at Ororan's approach. Kaxet grins and throws his hands into the air, "I win!" He bolts up, before he falls back down again.

Elkemin chuckles softly and moves to support Kaxet as the group around the table disperses. "I let you have that one, Kaxet," she says playfully.

Swaying while standing still, Kaxet hiccups and leans against the table leg for support. "Yea, yea; I had you beat and you know it."

Elkemin rolls her eyes as she stands, "Keep telling yourself that, Kaxet." Turning to face Ororan and Rili, she smiles and waves, "hiya Rili; what's up?"

"I need some help," Rili says. "I need to get Vician out of the Undercity, because if he stays the Alliance will save Sylvanas and he will be sent to Stormwind to stand trial. I can't let him do that."

Elkemin crosses the distance and hugs Rili, lifting her off of the ground in the process. "Why didn't you say something sooner? Of course Ororan and I will help. Those Alliance dogs can't be trusted, anyway. What were you thinking?"

Rili bites her bottom lip and shrugs. "I need to get him far enough away, so the Alliance can still save Sylvanas by using Vician's books, but Vician cannot rush back here."

Kaxet hiccups and stands, swaying towards them. "Why not just sedate him?" he asks, butting into the conversation. "I got this really good poison. I call it chloroform."

Rili blinks her eyes, looking at the goblin, "how are you even still standing?"

Kaxet glares mockingly at the succubus, "I'm a functioning drunkard. Anyway, I'll lend you some of my chloroform. Just put it on a rag and hold it over his mouth and nose; he'll be out in a few seconds."

Elkemin nods her head, motioning at Ororan, "And then Ororan can lift him up and take him wherever we want to go."

Rili blinks her eyes, "We?"

Elkemin smiles and nods, "Yea, we; Ororan and I will help. It'll be like some grand adventure! Right Ororan?"

The Orc smirks and nods his head while giving Rili a pointed look. Rili giggles and smiles, bowing her head slightly. "Thank you."

Kaxet points up at Rili, glaring at her slightly, "and since you'll be using my poison, I'll be going with."

Rili blinks, "why are you going with us, Kaxet? I thought you wanted that reward from Sylvanas."

Kaxet shrugs and waves his hand, "eh, it seems Sylvanas is down for the time being and I'm tired of being stuck in the Undercity."

Rili nods her head, saying, "Well, I'm glad that you're with us." She motions for the four of them to huddle together. This band of conspirators discusses how they will capture Vician and smuggle him out of the Undercity and to Durotar, where a cousin of Ororan has recently acquired a research ship. This cousin will spend several weeks in the South Seas studying the effects of the tides on aquamarine culture. They figure by then, the Alliance would have woken Sylvanas and would have moved on or at the very least been killed by Sylvanas. After that, they would return and all will be well.

Of course, they do not know that their conversation was being listened in on by Itris and Uraz'Do. When the band of conspirators separate, moving out to find Vician, Itris and Uraz'Do rush towards the Royal Chamber to inform Kalira of the betrayal.

"They said what?!" Kalira screeches, her voice echoing around the Royal Chamber. She paces back and forth running her fingers through her hair, threatening to pull it out. She flings a hand behind, motioning to the private chambers, "My Queen is in a coma due to an incubus and we have a succubus who is going to steal away my lover and the only man who has the knowledge to stop this to keep him away from the Alliance?! Fuck, both Sylvanas and I will kill those Alliance dogs before it could happen!"

Growling, she turns towards the Royal Guards, motioning to the door, "Go and get Vician. Bring him here, immediately. I don't care how you get him here; just do it!" The guards nod their heads and quickly move out of the Royal Chamber. She shakes her head, touching her forehead gently, "damn all these demons back to the Twisting Nether."

The chamber is silent for only a few moments, until the guards bust back in, with Vician in tow. "What the hell is going on here, Kalira?" Vician pushes through the throng of guards to stand before the Dark Ranger. "The royal guards burst down my door and drag me here without a word; what's going on?"

Kalira's face is one that contorts into anger, as she closes the distance. Vicians' face whips to the side as both hand and cheek sting from the blow. "How dare you," she mutters quietly, the malice evident in her voice. "You would dare surrender yourself willingly to those Alliance dogs and you thought Sylvanas and I would not notice? We just got you back; I just got you back and now you were going to go again?" Tears begin to form in Kalira's eyes. She hugs her body and turns from Vician, forcing herself to calm down.

Vician steps closer to Kalira, gently placing a hand on her shoulder, "I was doing this for Sylvanas. Her life is more important than me. I live to serve our Dark Lady. If I must die for her, then I will."

Kalira jerks away from Vician and turns to face him. "Sylvanas would march on Stormwind to get you back. She was devastated at your death; we both were. I did not think you would be such a selfish son of a bitch to make her go through that again; to make me go through that again." Shaking her head she sniffles and wipes her eyes. "We have to get those Alliance out of the city, because if we don't Rili is going to drug you and smuggle you out."

"What?" Vician asks gently, his eyes going wide.

"Yes, your precious succubus is going to kidnap you," Kalira says, poison dripping off of her words. Ever since his return, she had noticed something about that succubus. Their yelling match a few days ago put her suspicions into conformation. The Demon was in love with the Master and it seems that the Master was in love with the Demon.

All of this, of course, made her head spin. She is in love with Vician; more-so than that slut Rili and perhaps even more than Sylvanas. But what of her feelings towards her Queen; could the three of them love each other equally? Or would jealousy fester between them?

Vicians' voice draws her back into the conversation. "But we need the Alliance to save Sylvanas, Kalira," Vician says, giving the dark ranger a pointed look. "Who else would help the Forsaken?" Kalira runs her hands through her hair, as she looks towards the ceiling, sending a prayer of guidance to the Shadow.

"I don't like this," she says, stepping closer to Vician, her hands resting on his chest. "I don't like this one bit." She leans her head down slightly, until her forehead is resting on his chest. In this moment of weakness, she grips the front of his robes, shuttering and sighing against him. Vician brings up his hands and places them on her shoulders; not to hold her in place, but merely to show comfort and support.

Breathing deep, she pulls back, loosening her grip on his robe. Running a hand through her hair, Kalira clears her throat and addresses the room of people before here. "Thank you, Itris and Uraz'Do for coming to me with this information. I believe that our best course of action is move ahead with the Alliance assisting Sylvanas. But," she says, turning her eyes towards Vician, "let me make this perfectly clear: You will not be going with them, once they defeat Taniel, Vician. The very least they will get is their lives. Are we clear?"

Vician inclines his head, casting his eyes downward, "Yes, Dark Ranger."

Kalira nods her head, "good. In the mean time, you will be staying here with me, Vician." She turns towards the Royal Guards, "Triple the security around the Royal Chamber and the private chambers. I don't know when Rili and the others will make their move, but I want to be ready." Surveying the group before her, she offers a tired, but reassuring smile. She grabs Vicians' hand with her right hand and motions with the left, "dismissed." She turns and leads Vician towards the Sylvanas' private chambers.

Of course, with their backs turned, neither Vician nor Kalira saw the shadowy figure leaving the room alongside Itris, Uraz'Do, and the few Royal Guards. No one really notices the shadow figure, but if they did, they would see that it is oddly goblin shaped.
