Shooting Star
No.6 – Ene/Enomoto Takane
"I want to tell you" so I started running. This feeling won't stop, it's going to explode."

It was summer vacation. Enomoto Takane should have been at home, playing video games. But no, she wasn't. Instead, she was at the hospital. For Kokonose Haruka had ended up in the hospital again.

"Haruka!" Takane ran into the same hospital room she had seen many times. "Are you okay? What happened?" Behind her, Tateyama Kenjiro followed. Haruka turned to face Takane. "Ah, Takane!" He said in his normal cheerful voice. "I,uh, collapsed again? I think~" "Idiot! How could you be so cheerful when you're lying in a hospital bed! Take better care of yourself, stupid." Haruka laughed a nervous laugh. "Seriously…" Takane sighed. "Well he is fine now, the nurse said." Kenjiro told Takane. "He just has to rest for a few days. Well, since we'll be here for awhile, I'll go buy some drinks, okay? You wait here, Takane." "Kay~" Kenjiro left the room.

"It's just us now, huh." Haruka said. "Yeah…" Takane grabbed a chair from the side of the room and moved it next to Haruka's bed. There was an awkward silence. Takane could feel her heart beat. "You know, Haruka, I was really worried..." "Eh? About what?" Stupid dense idiot. Takane heart beated faster. "About you…of course." "Ah, really? I'm sorry…"

Takane felt herself blush. "What is this feeling? I must hide this…" She thought to herself. She looked away from Haruka. "It's not like..I…I was very worried..any-anyway." She forced the words out of her mouth. Haruka laughed. Takane looked out of the window. The hospital was on top of a hill, away from the lights of the town. She didn't notice before, but outside, a million stars glittered in the night sky. The town spread out in front of them, blending in with the sky, like a patchwork. "Wahh. The view's nice. I guess."

"Kenjiro-sensei is taking his time, huh." Haruka said. "Well, not like it matters anyway." Takane replied.

Suddenly, from the corner of her eye, Takane saw something sparkle in the dark sky. "A-A shooting star?!" Haruka looked out of the window. "Wha, I haven't seen one of those since I was very young. Come on Takane, make a wish!"

Takane looked at the shooting star and then closed her eyes and made her wish. Please let my wish come true.

"Ah, the shooting star is gone already, but what did you wish for, Takane~?" Blushing, the black-haired girl replied, "That's a secret…"

"Master, master! Have you ever since a shooting star? I heard that there will be one tonight!"

"Huhhhh, I'll have to leave the house if I wanted to see it, so no. Anyway, that's so troublesome… I don't believe wishing on a shooting star will do anything, anyway." Kisaragi Shintaro said while drinking his soda.

"But, Master~"

"Have you seen one before, Ene?"

"Haha, yeah. A long time ago…"

"Then what did you wish for then? Is it even possible for you to see one, as a computer program?!"

"Well, yeah. As for what I wished for…"

Ene remembered. On that day, in that hospital room, while looking at the stars, what she wished for.

I wish that we'll be together, forever.
