Chapter 16: Back From the Future P3
Sabrina's P.O.V.
I have to go build that rover." Dad says, heading towards the lab door.
A second later, Adam, Bree and Chase emerge from the elevator.
"Good to go." Chase says, slinging his mission bag over his shoulder, "We'll check in once we reach delta point."
"No." Dad snaps almost immediately, "Uh uh I, I mean the mission's off."
"But I thought you said it was urgent." Adam points out, leaning against the counter.
"Did I say urgent?" Dad questions, and the three of them nod and "Mmhm" in response.
"I think I said urging, as in I was urging you not to go on the mission." Dad stumbles, and may I just say, I did not get my lying talent from my father.
"Why?" Bree asks.
"Because, I'm sending an automated rover that can shut down the collider via remote. As soon as I build it." Seriously Dad? I scream mentally.
"A automated rover? Might as well send a handbag on a skateboard." Chase jokes, earning laughs from Adam and Bree.
"Or Leo." I say under my breath, earning me a smack on the arm by Little Leo.
"The three of us can han-" Chase continues.
"No!" Dad yells, stopping all laughter, "I said no! My decision is final! Just go get ready for school!"
Their faces fall, and they solemnly turn, heading back downstairs to get ready. Future Me and Leo put their arms around Big D.
"Thank you." Future Me says.
"Future You would thank you too." Future Leo says.
"Or should we say Bald D." Little Leo says, elbowing his older self for effect and they both burst out laughing. Future Me and I must have had the same idea, because we both reach over and smack the Leo of our own time. Dad just glares at them, running his fingers through his Oh So Precious hair.
After that, I go up to my room. I grab my bag from my bed and get my home work off my couch. Then I hear a knock on the door.
"Come in." I say, and the door opens to show my very sad looking boyfriend.
"Hey." He says, not doing a very good job at hiding the depressed-ness in his voice.
"Are you sad because of the mission?" I ask, putting my bag down and approaching my boyfriend, who is now wearing a blue plaid shirt and jeans.
"Yeah." He whines, wrapping his arms around me, "I just don't get why he won't let us go."
"Me either." I lie. I hate lying to Chase, but I have to.
"Well," He takes his arms from around me, " I have something for you."
"You didn't have to get anything for me." I say, running my hand through my now faded purple hair.
"Here." He says, opening a little ring box. Inside is a gold ring.
"I know it's not much-" Chase starts, but I stop him.
"It's beautiful." I take the ring from the box.
"Look on the inside." Chase says and I do. Inside, there are five words engraved: I love you, Chase+Sabrina.
I smile, slip it on my right ring finger, then hug Chase.
"Thank you." I whisper, not being able too say anything else.

After school... (Still Sabrina)
Future Leo, Leo, Future Me and I are walking into the lab to see dad attempting to build the rover and wearing a welding mask.
"Hey Dad." and I say at the same time.
"Hey Big D. I got an A on my history test." Leo says.
Dad lifts up the mask, "Is that because you got the answers from future you?" He questions.
"So, how's that rover coming along?" The four of us ask at the same time.
"It's almost ready." Dad says, and then the rover sparks, making us all jump.
"Ya know what? Are you sure Adam, Bree and Chase don't make it?" Dad asks, obviously failing at building the rover.
"Yes we're sure." F. Me snaps.
"Sab!" says, "We downloaded the footage. Here." He pulls the holo-phone out and the screen pops up, showing a video of Adam, Bree and Chase.
Chase creates his force field and launches it at the control panel. The power flickers and the particle collider shuts down.
"They did it." I say mindlessly.
"They completed their mission. You guys came back for nothing. I think this calls for a cookie." I glare at my dad.
"You haven't seen the ending." F. Me and F. Leo say together.
The three of them begin to celebrate. Then, there is a rumbling and the roof collapses on top of them.
"Scratch that cookie. I need to get this thing mission ready." Dad says. Just like that, they're gone.
"So it's still not mission ready. Why won't you just let us go." Chase points out as the three bionics walk in.
"Chase." I say warningly, "It is going instead of you guys."
"Thank you." Dad says, picking up a piece of the rover, "Now, I have to go buy some stuff from NASA. They're having a sale. Everything's a million off. Uh, I'll be gone for a few hours. Leo and Sabrina, you're in charge."
"Yes!" Leo exclaims. Wait for it.
"Future Leo and Sabrina." Dad responds. Yep.
"Ah come on!" Leo yells.
Once Dad is out of the room, Adam says, "He thinks this mission is too big for us."
"It's not that he thinks it's too big-" Leo starts.
"Leo." I say and F. Leo finishes, "We promised."
"I guess Davenport just lost confidence in us." Bree says.
"Yeah." Chase agrees.
Then they start arguing.
"Guys, guys, guys, enough." Leo yells.
"No Leo." I warn, but Leo ignores me.
"Future us" Leo points to me and himself, "came from the future to warn us that you don't come back from this mission."
"Leo!" F. Me yells.
"Gah. I never listen to myself." F. Leo exclaims, clutching his head.
"Don't come back?" Adam repeats as a question.
"Wow. I knew we weren't invincible, but..." Bree says, sadly, then looks at Chase.
"It all makes sense now." Chase answers his own questions, "This is why Mr. Davenport forbade us to go."
"Nice going." F. Leo says.
"I had to tell them." Leo says, trying to justify his choice, "Big D didn't want to undermine their confidence which is exactly what he did by not telling them."
starts shaking his head. "Don't you shake my head at me." Leo says.
I sigh, obviously stressed out. I look over at the others, and they look lost. F. Me, however, grabs both Leos and begins to pull them upstairs and I follow. In the elevator, she gets mad.
"Why in the world would you TELL THEM!" F. Me screams through gritted teeth.
"I'm sorry." Leo says, "I was doing what's right."
F. Me sighed, then the doors opened, "Come on Sab, let's go dye your streak blonde." She says, grabbing my arm and dragging me upstairs.

Later...
Future Sabrina's P.O.V.
Right now, I am drying Lil Sab's hair.
"How does it look?" Lil Sab asks, looking in the mirror of her bathroom.
"Amazing." I reply, running a brush through her slightly damp hair.
Just then, we both hear, "SABRINA!"
We look at each other and run down the stairs.
"Where's the fire?" We both say.
"They went on the mission." Lil Leo says.
"What!" We both exclaim.
"We have to go save them." Lil Sab says.
"Lab. Now." I say and both Leos rush down the stairs, with us girls trailing.
"This is too dangerous." Leo says. I drag him off to the side.
"They need to do this." I say.
"He's going to miss his date."
"So?"
"Sab, I know you want Chase back..."
"Leo. This is about all of them."
"Brina..." Leo pleaded.
"I will help them. You can stay here or help." I answer.
"Fine." He huffs. He knows better than to talk about Chase in an argument.
Leo walks back over to Lil us.
"It's time to send in some backup." Leo sings.
"Let's take Dad's turbo-speedster." I say.
"I'll drive." Lil Leo says.
"Don't have a license." Leo answers.
"You'll drive." Lil Leo says.
"Reckless driver." I say, "I'll drive."
"Okay. Let's go save our family." Lil Sab says, and we all run into the garage.

At the particle collider... (Still F. Sab)
Lil Leo and Lil Sab run ahead of us. When I catch up, I hear, "... What are you guys doing there?" from the rover.
"Did you guys shut down the collider?" Lil Sab asks.
"Yeah. We just finished." Chase answers.
"Then get outta there, fast." Lil Leo says.
"The room is about to collapse." Leo shouts.
"What?" The three bionic siblings shout.
The rumbling begins, and the two Lil us share a glance. Then they both run into the room, push Adam, Bree and Chase out of the way. The rubble falls of top of them. When the dust cloud clears, they are no where to be seen.
A mix of shouts for the two of them echo through the room. They run to the rubble.
"Leo and Sabrina just saved our lives. That was supposed to be us." Bree says, and I feel my body waver, like a projection.
"They didn't need bionics to be heroes." Chase says.
"Leo owed me five bucks." Adam answers, then puts his arm on Leo's shoulder.
"Wait, wait a second. If they're gone, shouldn't you guys be gone too?" Chase says.
"Yes!" I say.
"Dig them out!" Bree squeals, then Adam uses his super strength and Chase uses his molecular- kine sis to dig them out. They find Lil Leo first.
"Leo!" Bree yells.
"Next time I say get out, GET OUT!" Lil Leo says as Adam pulls him out, "Ow, broken arm."
"Adam! Keep looking!" Chase snaps, worried more about Lil Me. They finally find her, and she's passed out.
I have to stop here. Sabrina is not dead. Leo does have a broken arm because in the show, the roof kills the three bionic teens, yet doesn't hurt a single regular person. Weird, huh? Anyway, Ciao.
