Boys Over Roses, Chapter 7: Strange bed, Strange Room

Nobody's POV:
May awoke next morning to find herself in a strange bed, in a strange room. May turned her head only to see Drew reading the Pokenews. She immediately jumped to conclusions.
"Wh-WHAT AM I DOING HERE?! I DEMAND TO KNOW WHY I AM HERE!" screamed May.
"Remember last night?" asked Drew, smirking. Details of last night flashed through May's mind.
"I brought you home after you collapsed on to me; I also called your parents to let them know where you were, so instead blabbing at me, why don't you just be grateful?" explained Drew.
May hung her head, embarrassed, but said thanks anyway. "Now let me leave right now!" said May, a bit forcefully.
"No can do, my mom is hosting a charity auction this evening, so you can't possibly leave without being noticed," exclaimed Drew. Drew continued, "Knowing my mom, she probably has ordered men to watch over me to keep me from leaving the house."
Drew started to panic which was unusual for him, and calls the rest of "Rose Threats" for help. Drew's friends arrive soon and they start brainstorming a plan, knowing that Drew's mom's reaction would be fearful if she were to somehow find out the truth- not only is there a strange girl with Drew, but she's a poor, nameless, insignificant commoner to boot.
May is dressed up in one of the fancy dresses to be auctioned off that night, and the Rose Threats try their best to pass her off as a new friend. Naturally, she's from a rich, prestigious family.
Drew's mom is coolly polite, and inquires about May's family background, prompting the Rose Threats to jump in and fill in the details, describing that May's mother is in the fashion industry.
Thankfully, Drew's mom had to leave before she was really ready to sharpen her interrogation; his mom led everyone downstairs to the auction room.
The first item for auction is a pokeball with a world class pokemon in it. May's mouth dropped open as the bidding climbs up from an opening bid of 365 dollars and skyrocketing to about 7,500 dollars!
The auction continues on. Drew models his suit, followed by May who models her dress, more or less, reluctantly.
Drew's mom eyed May in suspicion and asked her secretary if he recognized May. Since her secretary had a heart, he decided to lie and said that all he knows is that she's a student at Rosemary Academy. Drew's mom ordered him to look into the girl's background.
After the auction, May thanked Drew again, somewhat grudgingly. Drew pretended not to hear and forced her to repeat what she said.
Drew tossed May a package before heading out. "Don't drink when I'm not around." (Technically, Drew just didn't want May to be kissing other guys)
After Drew left, May opened up the package to find the pokeball that she saw being auctioned off! May called out the pokemon to find a Meloetta in it. (A/N: I know I'm going a bit overboard, but Meloetta is an elegant pokemon of some sort XD)
When May returned home, her mom oohed over the pokemon which her mom found to be very cute, and told May to auction it off. May, who actually liked Meloetta, distracted her mom before running to her room with Meloetta.
The next day, May had a visitor, Brittany. Even though May barely knew her, Brittany went to say her last goodbye before going off. Stunned that she was leaving so soon, May tried to express her thanks.
"From the very moment I saw you, I knew that you were the girl that Brendan always talked about with a smile," said Brittany, her eyes filled with sorrow.
Speaking of whom, Brendan spotted Brittany's car outside of the pool building. He went in just in time to hear what they were talking about.
"I haven't known you for very long but please just stay, I know I don't have the right to ask such a favor to you, but if I don't ask…." Pleaded May.
"Is it because of Brendan?" asked Brittany, not being able to look May directly into her eyes.
"I don't know anything about him. But I know how special you are to him. He looks so sad to me, but there are times when he smiles, warmly enough to melt the heart of anyone who sees. You're the only one who can make him smile. If you leave like this, he may not smile again."
"My decision is like buying a foreign country, if you don't buy it then, there's no second chance. I know too well how cruel that regret can be. Brendan is dear to me, and I believe I am to him. That's why I think he wouldn't want me to face that regret."
Subdued, May apologized quickly, and Brittany assured her. "No, don't be sorry, I'm glad to hear you talk like that, thank you." Brittany took out a pair of strappy heels for May. "I hope these shoes will take you good places. I have something to ask you too. Please make Brendan smile again."
When May walked out with her head down, Brendan confronted her, yelling angrily, "Who do you think you are to do that?! Who asked you to make that kind of favor? It's not even a favor, it's begging! Don't you have any pride?"
"It's not because I have no pride, it's because you looked so pained, like you'd die of sadness," said May, softly, with tears streaming down her face.
"What is that to you?! It has nothing to do with you, just… get lost!" yelled Brendan before running out.
