Hello, and I do apologize for the delay. I have two reasons for that, and one is excusable with the other being not excusable. The non-excusable one is that I got lazy and didn't update as much, but the excusable one is that I've had bad luck with computers this year. I bought a computer, and it crapped out on me way back in January, and I had to borrow other people's computers and the one I was using, until now, just crapped out on me recently. Well, I hope you forgive me for being lazy for a while, and that you enjoy the chapter.

Disclaimer: I've done this since the first fanfiction, and will do so just to make it clear. I do not own Kim Possible or Highschool DxD. Nor does my co-writer, unless he's keeping me in the dark for free ideas.

~Chapter 3: The Evil Pieces~

It was a new day for Ron, as everyone went home late in the evening after completing a few more assignments, but he was allowed to spend the night at the Possible house, letting his folks know about it at first. And just like when he first woke up from his new life as a devil, he was in Kim's bed, and she was just as naked as she was yesterday, the only difference was the pair of panties she wore wasn't black, white this time.

"Morning Ron, we've got a good day ahead of us." She smiled as she stretched, and Ron was still quite nervous as he managed to get his clothes on.

"That was so awkward." Ron said as it was the first time he ever had an awkward breakfast with the Possible family. Kim's dad had been silent the entire time, but Ron knew that the man was thinking of how to have an excuse to put him in deep space, hopefully in a black hole. It didn't help that this time, Mrs. Dr. P was wearing only flimsy nightgown that she probably wore to bed last night while cooking.

"It wasn't that bad, but daddy does need to loosen up. Wasn't like we were getting up to any 'questionable acts'." Kim said, as Monique approached them, entering the Possible home and kitchen. Monique grinned, "Well I am sure you would like to do all kinds of 'questionable acts' no doubt."

Kim glared at her while Ron chocked on his glass of orange juice. James held his paper tightly causing part of it to tear. Anne gave a small laugh, "Dear, you do know she is joking right?"

James said nothing but his grip relaxed slightly. Kim mumbled slightly under her breath, which caused Monique to laugh, "So Ron, what else did Kim tell you about devils?"

Ron blinked at the random question, "Umm I don't know what you mean?" he admitted.

Monique sighed, "Did she tell you how you even became a devil?"

Kim avoided his eyes when he looked at her, "No I don't think she did."

Kim sighed knowing this would be a painful talk, "Look Ron…this is hard for me to say. But that night when you were attacked by that Fallen Angel and you summoned me…you did not make it."

Ron had to do a double take at Kim and Rufus fell over as he was eating. "Wait what?!"

The others looked sadly at him, even James and the twins knowing this was not something to joke about.

"Ron…" Kim took a deep breath. "I was not able to save you. You died in my arms. I was able to revive you and made you into a devil and part of my peerage. It would only works once Ron and I didn't want to lose you."

Ron was quite, not sure what to say. He understood why Kim did it, if he were able to he would bring Kim back in a heartbeat, same for all his friends. He also could understand why she did not say anything. It was not like it was an easy topic to bring up. He smiled at Kim to reassure her, "KP…thanks to bringing me back." He then blinked, "How did you bring me back anyways?"

Kim smiled, "Actually I can explain it better tonight. We can do a few request today but tonight we got an important mission to handle."

Ron smiled, "So who are we facing? Drakken? Killigan? Dementor?"

"Not that kind of mission, a devil one." Kim said before she stood up.

Ron blinked and followed her to try and get some answers.

Kim did not give him many answers before she sent him on his way to request. Right now he was sitting before an elder man. "So what do I have to do?"

The man smiled as he breathed through his O2 tank, "Well with this on I have not been able to move as much anymore. My dog Percy has been getting lonely without someone to entertain him and I figure you can do it. He's outside right now."

Ron nodded and walked towards the backward, "This will be a snap Rufus," Ron told his buddy. "It's probably a small little doggy for an old man like that."

He opened his eyes and found the dog in front of him. He blinked seeing the large brown fur body of a strange mix of bulldog and pit bull. It was very big where its head and broad shoulder was almost to his chest. Ron did notice the red collar and the tag saying 'PERCY'. The dog growled seeing Ron and Ron gulped. "Nice doggy." He muttered before he ran away screaming as 'Percy' gave chase barking madly.

-Three Hours Later-

"Who's a good boy?" Ron said as he scratched Percy's stomach. It took an hour, but they started getting along just fine. The dog was just intimidating looking, and now Percy was kicking his foot happily as Ron rubbed his belly. It was starting to get dark, and Ron needed to get back.

"Thanks for playing with Percy. I hope you come back, it does this old man some good to see some youngster help around." The man said as Percy whimpered, knowing Ron was going to go.

"I'll try to come back if you summon me again." It was still a little weird saying 'summon me' as if he wasn't human, even if he technically wasn't.

Kim and the girls saw Ron return, and Kim took a deep breath.

"Now that you're back, there's a devil mission to do. This is something that we can't treat as a regular mission." Kim said as she had an unusually steeled look in her eyes. Ron wasn't sure about what a devil needed them for, but he had a feeling it wasn't going to be pretty.

Ron looked at the abandon warehouse later that night with Kim, and the rest of her peerage with her. He glanced at Kim, "So what are we doing here? What's this devil mission?"

Kim sighed, "You see my family or more importantly me is responsible for Middleton and a few areas around it. We are here to find a stray devil that has been killing people."

"Stray devil?" Ron asked.

Kim glanced at him, "A stray devil is a devil what was once a member of someone's peerage. They either betrayed and deserted their master or killed them. They have to be terminated for their crimes. Most go mad with their power a devil gives them and become nothing more than monsters, such as the one inside here." Kim led the way and opened the door. As soon as they enter Ron gagged, as he smelled blood, large amounts of it.

Kim frowned before she asked Ron, "Ron remember I promised I would tell you how I brought you back? Well this is part of how I did it. You know the game of chess?"

Ron blinked at the random question, "A yeah."

"Well everyone who has a peerage are given pieces of a chess board. They are call evil pieces and they are part of what we call the Evil Piece System. We are given one queen, two knights, two rooks, two bishops and eight pawns. These pieces let us to change anyone or anything into a devil. That is how I brought you back and turned you into a devil. Each piece has an ability and a value."

"What about the king?" Ron asked as she did not mention that piece."

Kim smiled, "Well I'm the King, as the piece entered my body when I received it. Now everyone her has a piece in them gained the abilities of those pieces."

Then they heard the sound of clicking of claws on metal and a hiss from above them. They all looked up and found the devil, "So more flies has come to become my next meal."

Ron gaped seeing the stray devil. It was clearly not human. Hell the only human part was the long torso and part of the head and hair. The rest of the body was that of some sort of bug. The bottom half was long bottom part of a roach with long bent legs and long claw fingers at the ends. The top arms were twice as long as a normal person with long claw like fingers perfect from grabbing victims. The long black hair was messy and dirty with blood. The face seemed normal but at the nose and below it was a gapping maw with sharp yellowing teeth. He dropped down and landed in front of them, only Ron showing any fear, "So…who wants to die first?"

Kim however ignored him and turned to Ron, "Let me explain what each piece can do. Monique…if you can please start?"

Monique smirked before she speed forward at a great speed that Ron did not think she was capable of doing. The stray lunged at her and she spun around to avoid it and slashed at the arm with a pair of short swords. The stray screamed in pain, as his hands were removed.

"That is a demonstration of the abilities of the 'Knight' piece, exceptional skills in swordsmanship and speed." Kim explained as the stray cried out in pain.

"MY HANDS! MY HANDS!" It said as Bonnie put a pair of gloves on and rushed up towards it.

"SHUT UP MAGGOT!" She screamed and punched the creature, and it flew for a good few feet. Ron saw that it went through a few pretty large crates, but it got up and was wobbly at the time.

"Bonnie just demonstrated what the 'Rook' grants: superhuman strength. Tara, you're up!" Kim said as Tara giggled and conjured a spear of fire and tossed it at the stray. It managed to move out of the path just enough to be hit in the leg. It screeched out at being burned and Ron gulped.

"Pooh, I missed." Tara said with a slight frown and semi-playful attitude, but Kim shook it off, even though Ron was worried.

"Tara's piece is the Bishop, making her excellent at using magic. Now to finish this guy off, even though I hate killing." Kim said as she once again gathered energy into her hand and blasted the stray devil's head off. The corpse moved for a bit, but then remained still.

"You killed that guy." Ron said in shock, somewhat. Whether it was because of video games, going out on some missions, or because he was a devil, he wasn't as shocked as he probably would have been in the past.

"That is the fate of Stray Devils, this is just an extreme example; plus, he would keep killing humans and anyone or creature. Now you know how you became a devil in the first place." Kim finished out, and she really hated killing and ruled it should only be done out of necessity. Ron nodded, but then he thought about that she didn't mention a few.

"What about the other pieces, and which piece am I?" He asked and Kim winced a bit.

"You're a pawn." Ron looked down cast, "A pawn!? That's the weakest piece in chest."

Kim did not argue with that but went on, "Never underestimate the power of a pawn. Yes they are the lowest in value but they can do amazing things if done right. Like all the pieces they have their own ability. Do you know what happens to a pawn when it reaches the other side of the board?"

Ron shrugged, "No clue, I never got any to the other side before."

Kim smiled, "Well the pawn is unable to move forward anymore so it is traded for a different piece such as a rook or queen. That's your ability Ron, when you are deep in enemy territory or when I allow it you can be promoted and gain the abilities of any other piece."

Ron eyes widen slightly as he understood, "So I can become super-fast like Monique or super strong like Bonnie?"

Kim nodded as they started to leave, "Yes but only in the conditions I mention." She paused before she left the door, "Hold on a second," she turned and held an orb of red energy, not unlike the energy she used before, and she shot it at the remains of the stray devil. The orb engulfed the body and destroyed it so nothing remained. She sighed, "We cannot leave any remains behind."

As they left Ron then remembered, "So you mention all the other pieces, but what about the queen?"

Kim smiled sadly, "I never used my queen piece yet. Queens are the most powerful of the pieces and they gain abilities of the rooks, knights and bishops but they tend to focus on one of the abilities the most depending on who the person is. I have not found anyone I think would make a good queen so I still got the piece."

Ron nodded understanding as the group headed back to Kim's house. Bonnie was mumbling to herself and Ron guessed because she was not made queen. Ron turned to Kim, "So you still have one of each piece besides the queen. Any idea on who you'd like to have?"

Kim smiled before she said, "Actually I can't have any more pawns."

"Huh?"

"I told you before I only get a certain amount of pieces. Once they are used up there are no more. Each piece has a value base on the number of pawns. Knights and bishops are worth three pawns, rooks are worth five pawns and queens are worth nine. You Ron…" she looked him in the eye, "You took all eight of my pawns to revive you." That was something he never thought about. He figured that each piece was just used once.

"Wait, how can I use up all eight of your pawns?" Rufus also shook his head wondering and as they walked out, Kim explained it further.

"It's based on the 'value of the soul', so to speak. Each person is more attuned to one piece then another, and I can't just any piece I happen to have one me at any old time. If I did, then you would've been my queen or second knight, but your body rejected all the other pieces. All except pawn, and it took more then one just to revive you." Ron went wide-eyed, and so did Rufus at the fact that Kim tried every piece but the pawn. It was just that neither really thought that Kim respected or cared enough for him to try the queen first, then the knight, and finally everything else, but was shaken out when Kim mentioned something else, "At least with the eight pawns, and you're own power, you can be promoted to any piece but King. Now, let's head home and get some rest. I don't want to stick around any more then I have to."

The last few months were hard on Shego. Between Drakken's plans failing from both Kim stopping them or failing by themselves she also had to deal with the villain's antics. She was trying to relax sitting in her chair, reading a magazine, as he messing with some machine she did not know what it did nor did she care. She barely noticed when Drakken stood over her. When she did she glanced up to see his smiling face and knew she was not going to like this on principle alone. "Aright what got you so happy? Your mother sent over some cookies?"

Drakken frowned at the jab, "No, but if you must know I have a new plan to be rid of Kim Possible once and for all."

Shego rolled her eyes, like she hadn't heard that one before. "Okay I'll bite…what is it?"

"I will make an army of Kim Possible but with a vast improvement." Drakken seem very pleased with himself so it was Shego pleasure to burst his bubble. "So what, you plan on turning her skin blue like your?"

Drakken fell at the jab as Shego went on, "Besides I thought you were done with the whole cloning thing."

Drakken recovered and smiled at her question, which Shego found odd. "Well I made a big improvement in the cloning process. As for improvements…the real Kim Possible did not have any powers."

Shego blinked actually thinking this may work if he did not screw this up, and he was overdue. "Really? What powers?"

"Yours of course." He turned and started to move about not seeing the dark look on Shego's face. "Think of it Shego; an army of Kim Possible, the world's hero, working to bring it to its knees and you are the one leading the charge."

Shego was unable to control her anger as her powers brunt the magazine in her hands. She got up and got into Drakken's face. "You. Clone! ME!"

Drakken jumped back in fright before he peeked around, "Actually no I did not. I clone Kim Possible and added some of your DNA so she would have your powers as well."

Shego saw red before she stalked over to the machine with her powers flaring brightly. "Ummm Shego?" Drakken started before Shego screamed in anger and started to trash the machine. "Shego! What are you doing!?"

Shego pants as she finish with the machine beyond repair, hell it was not even worth the scrap of metal it was made from. Shego turned and Drakken backed away at the dark look Shego had, "I…Quit." She said before she started off.

Drakken blinked, "Shego you can't quit."

Shego blasted Drakken back in her anger, "You cloned me again after I told you I hate CLONES!"

She that she exit the room to get her things leaving a weeping Drakken for both his plan failing, the pain Shego gave him and also for the fact Shego left him.

Cut, thanks for reading and thank you for being patient with me. Once again I apologize for the delays in updating. I hope you keep enjoying this, and please, if you do have any problems use constructive criticism by pointing out the good and bad in a helpful way, as I have problems understanding whether you're trying to help or not, especially since I have had idiots telling me that the only way to improve a story is to either do it a certain way(Their way) or take out a certain character based on their preference. So please, only stick to the facts of the story, and if you suggest ideas, I won't mind hearing them. Sorry for the rant y'all.
