Sorry I haven't updated in forever! Now that's school's out, I'll be able to update more... that is, if I don't get horrible writer's block.

Also, my OCs are not really talked about that much. I will write a companion piece to this explaining their backstories, how they met Elphaba, and their relationship with her.

"Get in the car now!" Edward ordered his human firends(and girlfriend). None of them dared to question him, especially with that tone of voice, so they got into Bella's truck. "Did you read that guy's mind?" Elphaba asked.

"Yeah," said Edward, starting to drive off.

"Wait... he can read minds?" the Wizard questioned.

"Yes, he can," answered Elphaba. "So, Edward? What was he thinking?"

"He's going to hunt you down, all three of you. It's my job now, to protect you guys."

"So, what are we supposed to do?" Bella asked, frantic. "I have to go back and warn my dad!"

"There's no time!"

"Edward, you turn this car around right now!" Focused on protecting his girlfriend, Edward ignored Bella's shrieks and turned on the radio. The song "Crush" by David Archuleta began to blast from the car's speakers. Elphaba, listening to the song, was reminded of Fiyero. She glanced away from the Wizard, who had noticed she was in deep, sad thought. It was, after all, his fault the two of them were never going to see each other again.

"Elphaba, I know I haven't been there for you," began the Wizard. "If there's any way I can make it up to you, just let me know."

His daughter didn't reply.

"Maybe you can tell me what your life was like with your mother... and... Frex," he suggested, saying that last word as if it was too profane to say in front of small children. "I am your father, you know. I want to get to know you. I just thought that might be a good place to start."

Elphaba's voice was hoarse when she finally answered, "Just because you're my dad, that doesn't mean I forgive you for what you did to me."

"I know what I did. And I regret it. Can't we just... start again?" He reached out and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. Once again, Elphaba felt that... that feeling. And no matter how much she tried, she just couldn't get over it. She couldn't help it; she buried her face in his shoulder and muttered, "Dad..."

The Wizard put his free arm around Elphaba and hugged her. "Feels Like Tonight" by Daughtry came on the radio. Bella, through all of her spazzing and flipping out, turned around to look at the father and daughter in the back seat. She realized the content of their conversation, heard what song was on, and smiled. Fitting song, she thought.

"Are you done freaking out?" Edward snarled at Bella, who was now forced to address the situation with her own father.

"Yeah, but I'm still ticked off," the livid teen replied. "I have to warn Charlie!"

"James is a flipping vampire, Bella, not some incompetent serial killer. If you go back to your house, he'll follow your scent, and then Charlie's a goner." He had a point.

"Well..." Bella started to mumble, trying to come up with something. "I... I have an idea, but it's pretty stupid."

"I'm sure it's not that stupid," reasoned Edward.

"If Elphaba is a witch, she must have a flying broom, right? She could fly over and warn my dad, tell him where I am."

Unbeknownst to Bella, Elphaba and the Wizard had heard her idea. "Yeah... no," said the witch.

"And that is pretty stupid," added the Wizard.

"Do you want to have so much blood sucked from your veins that you look like a deflated balloon?!" Edward threatened, baring his fangs.

"No."

"Then shut up about my girlfriend's in- WHOA!" The vampire swerved out of the path of a thick tree trunk. He had gotten so mad that the Wizard insulted Bella's IQ that he had driven off the road and nearly got them in an accident.

"You know what?!" Elphaba exclaimed in frustration. "I'm with Bella! Edward, can you drive back to my house? I got to get my broom!"

"You actually brought that with you?" asked the Wizard. The death glare from his daughter answered his question.

When Edward pulled up to the house Elphaba was staying at, he immediately taken aback. "You were able to afford this place?" asked the vampire incredulously, gazing at the nice house.

"It's... not my house, actually," replied Elphaba. "I came here by tornado... courtesy of my father's fish-faced secretary. (She sent a dirty look toward the Wizard, who, knowing that she meant Morrible, sent her a look of apology) Anyway, these kids found me and took me in. Their parents told me there was an empty house across the street that I could stay in. The family living there is on vacation for awhile, they said, and it would be okay if I did. Who knows when they're coming back."

The witch exited the car and ran up to her front porch. "Hey!" called a voice from across the street. "You finally came out, Boo Radley?" Elphaba turned toward the voice and smiled. The girls whom she encountered when she first arrived in Forks were making their way over to her. "Allison!" she greeted warmly. "Natalie!"

Both brunettes laughed and hugged their friend. "Hey, Elphaba," one girl, Natalie, grinned. She then turned to her twin. "Boo Radley?!" she asked her. "You think she knows who that is?! She's from another world!"

"Well, excuse me!" sassed Allison. "I just thought since we were reading that book in school... and she stayed in her house and disappeared off of the face of the earth for awhile..."

"Guys, listen, I really can't talk right now," Elphaba told the girls. "I need to grab my broom."

"Ooh! Are you going into battle?!" Allison inquired excitedly as the witch ran up to her house porch.

"I might have to."

"Then we'll come with you!" declared Natalie. "We won't let you go alone!" The twins had followed Elphaba into the house and her living room. The green woman grabbed her broomstick, which was leaning against her couch, and placed her hand on Natalie and Allison's shoulders.

"Guys... I appreciate every single thing you have done for me..." she began, her eyes beginning to tear up. "But this is dangerous. I know you guys are capable of handling yourselves. The only thing is... is that anyone who's ever gotten close to me winds up getting hurt. I can't have that happen to you..."

"Just because that stuff happened in Oz, doesn't mean it will happen now," Natalie reasoned, wiping a tear from Elphaba's cheek.

"Yeah, this is Forks, Washington!" exclaimed Allison. "This is where you can start over, and have a new life. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere!"

Elphaba chuckled and hugged her friends. "Thank you for everything," she repeated. "Thank you so much..."

Bella became anxious and fidgeted in her seat. Edward was extra alert, glaring at every corner. Finally, he spotted Elphaba reentering the car. "Sorry!" she apologized. "Those girls might have held me up."

"Good thing, too," Edward noted.

"Wait... you're not mad?! Getting Bella out of here is urgent!"

"I know, but... thanks to those girls, Bella's scent was masked for awhile."

"How the heck is that possible?!" Bella spat.

"Those girls... they have a strong scent that interferes with a vampire's sense of smell... because... because they're werewolves."
