Chapter 13: Sadistic 18

Gosen stared down 17 as he held his stance. He planted his foot heavily into the dirt and took off at high speed flying toward him. He threw a powerful punch and 17 crossed his arms covering his face, blocking the attack. 17 was unharmed but all the earth behind them began to implode and break apart. 17 caught his arm and threw him into the sky. 17 flew up toward Gosen, but while he was airborne upside down, he cupped his hands beside him powering up his kamehameha. He fired his blast at 17 and it appeared to have hit him. But when the smoke cleared, he was safe inside a barrier he created.

"Haha, you've managed to keep up with me for some time now. I'm impressed." 17 complimented.

Gosen smiled and put a hand on his hip and a finger rubbing the bottom of his nose. "Don't look too impressed. I am still holding back. Just like you." 17's smile became even more competitive. Down on the land 18 simply glared at Vegeta waiting for his first move. Her blue eyes were colder than ice and her body was immovable like a brick wall. Vegeta charged her quickly, putting out more power than anyone else as usual. He immediately engaged her in high speed combat. But as unwilling as she was, all she did was either block or dodge all of his quick attacks.

With each attack, his power increased; with each miss, he went faster. She quickly took off into the air and he followed angrily. They continued their fighting up in the sky, but it wasn't really fighting from a viewers standpoint. Vegeta had yet to land one blow to Android 18. Fed up with her constant moving he put an enormous amount of speed and power to one punch which ultimately missed because 18 had disappeared.

Vegeta looked left and right for 18 but at this point he just looked like a young amateur in over his head. He definitely wasn't an amateur, but 18 proved otherwise. "Hey, Little man! Down here!" she yelled out getting Vegeta's attention. The more she moved about, the angrier he got. 18 used her hand and made a gesture to signal "bring it on". Like an amateur, he did just that. Once again he engaged her in hgh speed combat but he got nowhere. At this point he was just burning energy while 18 remained fresh.

18 flew up into the air quickly and looked down on Vegeta in every sense of the phrase. "Stop moving!" Vegeta screamed. He forced his hand forward and charged a large blue ball of energy. "Big Bang Attack!" He roared as the blast zipped toward 18 at light speed. 18 smacked the blast into the sky as if it were a small fly that had been buzzing around her face for a few seconds. The blast exploded in the sky and the shadow made 18's face darker and noticeably colder.

Gosen and 17 halted their fight to look up at the explosion and all the stagnant z-fighters looked up as well. "I suppose that by the look on your sorry excuse for a face that that was your strongest attack." 18 said insulting his pride. She looked down on the stagnant Vegeta, fiddling with her earring pierced on her exposed ear. She slowly descended keeping a constant watch on Vegeta. "You're not doing a very good job in proving yourself, Little man." Vegeta clenched his teethe and charged 18 once again.

He threw a single punch but 18 moved her upper body to the side and landed a single punch to Vegeta's stomach. The agony in Vegeta's eyes told the whole story. He quickly coughed up a good amount of blood with a small amount spilling on 18's cheek. "Vegeta!" Krillin and Gohan cried out.

Gosen brought his attention to Vegeta's battle. "Never get distracted in a fight!" 17 lectured as he punched a wide open Gosen in the face. That one punch paralyzed Vegeta. He couldn't move, he couldn't cringe to the pain, he couldn't cup his stomach in the pain. 18 still looking directly forward, grabbed Vegeta's hand, and punched him in the stomach again with the same amount of force. He coughed up more blood. By this time Vegeta's sight was going hazy, but 18 continued her assault to his stomach. She released his hand and gave one last punch to the stomach sending him flying to a mountain side.

"Krillin, he needs a senzu bean!" Piccolo yelled out. Krillin took out the bag of beans as swiftly as possible but the bag immediately burst into flames.

"What happened?" Gohan cried out. They looked at 18 who had her hand held out, not even having the decency to look over at them. Her hand was slightly glowing, confirming that it was her to burned the beans.

"I know all about the senzu beans and their annoying ability. Trust me, I would have no issue fighting any or all of you 5 or more times, but it would be a waste of time. Not to mention those beans would've been wasted on this guy."18 explained.

"Do you really think that's enough to keep me down, Android." Vegeta mumbled coming out of the mountain side. "A true saiyan warrior doesn't need one of those disgraceful beans to fight. Vegeta struggled to get his hand away from his stomach. He held a fist in front of his face and fire burned in his eyes. His strength began to return and his aura flashed like an explosion. "A true prince will not fall to the hands of a tin can!" A blast was thrown at Vegeta but he mustered up the strength to fly up and dodge, still holding his stomach.

18 appeared right behind him, taking his arm and holding it tight behind his back while he screamed in terror. 18 chopped him in the neck and Vegeta came spiraling down back to the ground. Vegeta laid there helpless and pitiful. He wasn't even conscious anymore. "What? Done already?" 18 said nudging at his body with her foot. "I suppose that's all your saiyan pride is worth then." She kicked him hard in the gut, but he didn't respond. He was already out of it. She turned around and pointed at Vegeta. A small but powerful beam attack came from her finger and blasted Vegeta.

"That's enough!" Roared Gohan as he charged after 18.

"Wait! Gohan!" Krillin cried out. Krillin had no choice but to follow him.

"Dammit!" Piccolo followed. Everyone else who hadn't already followed after Gohan had followed now. 18 stood there with her arms crossed and smiling at the z-fighters as they all charged her.

Gosen who was blocking an attack from 17 drew his attention to the commotion below. "That's not good!"
