Chapter 14: The Strongest Android

18 looked upon the z-fighters, simply smiling as they charged after her with everything they've got. Each fighter tried to hit her in some way, but she simply danced around them. They surrounded her, but she was stationed in one area playing with her earring. "Gohan! Go tend to Vegeta!" Piccolo commanded.

"B-But!" Gohan tried to reason with Piccolo, but to no avail.

"No buts! Just do as I say!" Gohan knew he couldn't argue with Piccolo, especially since the threat was so grand. Piccolo charged 18 from behind, but she side stepped causing his attack to miss. Krillin charged from the side, but she turned her body to avoid. Tien threw a blast, but 18 caught it and threw it right back. Tien dodged his own attack and it exploded in the sky.

"I don't understand. She has the power, but she does nothing with it." Gosen said while looking down at the fight.

"That's because 18 was always like that. Even as a child. She was always superior to everyone else, but thought nothing of it, nor even tried to prove herself to anyone." 17 explained to Gosen as they continued to fight.

Piccolo tried to engage in high speed combat with her but as she stepped back, all she wanted to do was continue to dodge his attacks. Tien came rushing from behind but 18 caught his punch and Piccolo's and threw them at opposite sides of one another.

"Wait. What do you mean when you were kids? Didn't Gero create you from the ground up?"

"No. We were originally human, but the old man decided to remodel us to become the ultimate fighting machines." Gosen's eyes widened. He threw a punch to 17, but he caught it. 17 did the same, but Gosen caught that punch. They were locked in a struggle of strength.

"How is that even possible?" Gosen said. His face showed the amount of stress he had to put into forcing 17 back.

17 smirked and he was trembling. He was having trouble forcing Gosen back as well. "Why question a world full of aliens, powers, and food that help you recover instantly? As far as I'm concerned anything is possible. Right?" Gosen was surprised by that answer because it made so much sense that it was laughable.

17 turned his body horizontally and kicked Gosen off of him into the air. With one eye closed from the pain, Gosen asked, "If you were to beat all of us now, what's your next objective? Will you go after my father?"

17 put his hands to his hips and looked to the side. "That was our objective, but as you saw I murdered the doc. I don't really have any intention of doing a dead man's dirty work."

"So? Do you plan on destroying the world?"

"That's so cliche. I don't really have any ambition to do anything now that we have these powers. There are only a select few who can take us on without ending up like Vegeta. That's you and Goku. I guess we can bring about destruction, but who'll be there to bring the fun to stop us? You? Goku? It will get boring."

"So why are we even fighting!" He asked.

"Personally for me, this is just a test of strength. We've been fighting for a good 10 minutes now and I'm starting to see what you're all about. It's like a game for me. But for 18, I'm not so sure." They both looked down at her fight with the z-fighters and all she was doing was continuing to dodge.

"I still don't understand. She could have ended the fight long ago, why is she only dodging?" Gosen asked.

"That's 18's fighting style."

"What?"

"While 18 does have some fun, she's always been cool and relaxed. Not many people can take her out of character, even I have some trouble with that. Her fighting style is just as cool as her personality. She's relaxed and lets the opposition attack. Though she only does this when her opposition is weak. She lets them drain their power first."

Gosen watches as she continuously dances around the z-fighters. "Amazing." He said in awe.

"That's where 18 and I are different. I fight recklessly for the fun of the game, she fights calm and is all technical about it. Though, if it's a fight she's bound to enjoy, she might not wait for you to attack. In that way she's like a saiyan. She thirsts for a good fight." 18 continue to dance around them like a master of martial arts against people who have never fought before. "At this point she's just playing with them now, watching them dance like flies. She'll soon strike, just how she did with Vegeta."

Gosen's eyes widened and he dashed to go help them, but 17 put Gosen in a full nelson to watch her move. "Stop! She'll kill them!"

"Calm down and watch." 18 stood as Piccolo dashed forward with a claw to the face. As if it were slow motion, she ducked and punched Piccolo in the stomach causing him to collapse and became unconscious. Tien came from behind again, but got elbowed in the chest, causing him to be knocked out. Krillin tried kicking but she ducked, grabbed his leg and slammed him to the ground heavily, causing a small crater. Gohan tried coming from the side. She tried sweeping his feet but he jumped and came from the sky. She punched upward, catching Gohan midair, he was also unconscious.

Gosen looked in complete and utter shock. "Our power levels are the same, but with 18's fighting style..."

"No way..." Gosen muttered to himself as he looked at 18's hair flow with the wind, catching a glimpse of her eye slightly looking down.

The smoke cleared and each fighter was out cold, forming a circle around 18. "She's the strongest android."
