Hey there! So I'm gonna write the originally sixth chapter but it'll be posted as the seventh one. Sorry for not updating for so long, but I've come up with a new little chapter. And since I'm on summer vacation, I plan on posting a lot. Anyways, thanks a lot for your support and there we go!
Chapter 6 : The sound of my heart …
*Being tortured by my sins …* Aira kept hearing this voice, inside of her head. She shifted again, lying on her left side. Right in front of her, she saw Shou in tears, begging her to leave. To leave him alone, forever, and to never come back. She woke up from her nightmare and cried silently till dawn. How has it become like this? Will Shou-san ever forgive me? she asked herself. She got up, opened the curtains and then the window and let the fresh air breeze brush her blushing cheeks.
- Shou-san …
On the other hand, at the Yokohama Records Studio, Daichi was feeling unwell. He couldn't keep up with the rest of the band, something being on his mind. He couldn't help but replay the night before. Aira, Shou … He wasn't dumb. He understood more or less what happened, and it made him way more disgusted of what he did and what he became. Suddenly, he felt something rising in his throat. He rushed to the door and left the room, leaving the rest of his band worried.
- It's decided! I'll go talk to Shou-san; Aira said before closing the window. She dressed absent-mindedly and left the house. She ran all the way to the mall, heading for Prism Stone.
- Shou-san … Shou-san … Shou-san … please forgive me, forgive my recklessness …
Back to the studio, Daichi dashed in Azu's office, anger and guilt making their way to his heart. The manager pivoted towards the door and hardened her gaze.
- May you knock before entering? How impolite of you; she added, watching his reaction.
Daichi stormed his way to Azu's desk and looked right through her eyes. They were so lifeless, so harsh. It made him shiver, but he clenched his fists, anger hitting him again.
- Are you insane?! How could you do that to such an innocent person! What's your problem? he yelled fixing her, while his jaw stiffened.
- What are you talking about? she asked calmly, as if she wasn't the least affected by what he said.
- She's in love! I broke both of their hearts!... he said, falling down to the ground, guilt driving him to his limit, memories passing by his mind at high speed. He remembered his past, the principles he has been raised with, by the person he loves the most on earth.
- Just what am I doing … How low! he said through his heavy breath.
- I wasn't aware of that. Look, there's no need to worry. You can still make her fall for you, you can be the one that will help her out of this broken heart.
- … I can't believe you're being called a human! You are totally disgusting! Daichi said before getting up and heading to the door.
- Wait! Daichi! Come back, our talk isn't finished yet! Daichi! If you don't come back, you'll regret it! The person lying in the hospital wil- … Azu said before Daichi shut the door which interrupted her.
Daichi wasn't listening anymore, he left the studio taking the first street on his right.
Elsewhere, Aira finally arrived at Prism Stone. She found Hibiki and Wataru, Hibiki holding a phone to his ears and both looking worried.
- … Shou-san … Where is Shou-san? Where?... she asked, out of breath.
- Aira! they both said in surprise.
- So you don't know where he is either?... Hibiki said in despair.
- Aira, we think Shou is missing, we were trying to call you, wondering if you had any news. But I guess you don't know more than us; Wataru said willing to comfort her.
- It's all because of me … It's my fault! she yelled, breaking down.
A few times later, after the boys calmed down Aira and Rizumu and Mion came over, a sudden onset came. It was Aira's brother, Itsuki. He had a startled look on his face as he hurriedly joined the others.
- Aira! What are you doing here? Itsuki asked.
- Itsuki! What about you? she replied.
- Shou, I came here to talk about him. Thinking of it, it's good you're here. Shou … he needs you, he's totally out of it.
- What happened? asked all the others.
(I wanted to actually leave it on cliffhanger but I didn't write for so long and the chapter would be really short if I stopped right there.)
Itsuki sat down while the others surrounded him hurriedly.
- I was worried about you, you know! Itsuki started. So I went to Prism Stone quite early and I found him there, sitting on the floor, staring at his sketches into ash. He was looking in such pain…
Aira who couldn't feel any strength in her knees fell down and buried her face in her hands.
- What am I going to do now? It's all my fault… she cried.
- Aira, crying on your own won't help out in any way, you know. It's time for you to act on your feelings and do what you feel like you want to do; Hibiki said in a low voice while patting her back.
- You're right! I should get stronger and face it all; Aira said, trying her best to think positively.
Aira stood up and looked at her brother, determinate to fix her mistakes.
- Any idea where he might be?
- I left him here but I think he was mumbling something like going to talk to you at Pretty Top. He probably thought you were practicing there.
Aira rushed out of the store after letting out a "thanks guys" and headed to Pretty Top. On her way, she found a depressed-looking Daichi who stopped in front of her uncomfortably trying to apologize, but she ignored him after she apologized as well and hurried her pace to Pretty Top. At its entrance she slowed down her eyes catching a familiar figure.
-Ah, Shou-san…
Recognizing Aira, Shou felt his heart throbbing and felt unable to face her so he turned around, startling her. Aira shook her head, deciding not to give up on the first hurdle. She glanced at him.
- Shou-san, even if you don't want to see me or hear me, I'll have you listen… even if it's forcefully. You probably don't want to hear me, right?
- It's not like that…
- Well, I don't care! Because I have something to tell you, something that has been going through my mind for a long time now. Despite all the misunderstandings, my feelings haven't changed, nor did my way of thinking about you. I'm sorry I didn't see through you…
- Like I said…
- Shut up! It's hard enough for me to tell you this! Nothing happened between Daichi and me. And nothing is going to happen. And I understand how you feel, because I know what shyness can be...
- Reall- Umm. So what?!
- Shou- san… SO I LIKE YOU! GET IT?
- Aira…
Because of Aira's confession, Shou felt his heart throbbing to the fastest pace ever. And Aira finally understood why Shou was acting clueless all this time. She still couldn't believe that Shou was actually clumsy when coming to these kinds of things. And every time he'd say something about her, she'd notice a tiny glint of a blush on his cheeks. Shou turned around to see a teary Aira all red and about to collapse.
- Aira! Shou shouted, running over to her.
He caught her right on time and touching her forehead, he realized she had a high fever. So he lifted her up over his shoulders and held her thighs for her not to fall. And grinning like crazy, he ended up carrying her to her house.
- Shou… san…please for- give me… Aira said, half asleep.
- It's okay, I should be the one apologizing. I'm sorry, Aira…
- You're… forgiven… Shou-san… Don't… you hear… my heart beating… very very… fast?
- I do; he said smiling to himself while walking down the road leading to her home.
* He does hear it! *
So that's it, I really hope you liked it as much as I did. And who would've known Shou was the shy-type of guy? Also, Aira finally confessed (though it wasn't the perfect confession ever with the sunset and all, I kinda liked it) and it seems like they're getting closer… So, you can start expecting a lot of lovey-dovey-ness from now on. By the way, I really want to hear what you thought of this chapter and some ideas for the upcoming one. Thanks for reading and see you, guys.
