A/N: Hey here is the next chapter. Remember most likely only one more chapter. I might do a future chapter like ten years from then. I don't know if I will yet. I would have posted this yesterday, but my nieces had me watching Tarzan instead of writing.
Chapter 20
Evelyne woke to the sound of her phone ringing again. She was getting tired of being pulled from her sleep by someone calling her. Groaning she removed herself from Kol's arms and grabbed her phone seeing who was calling her. Her caller ID showed that it was Ric.
"Hello?" Evelyne said getting out of bed all the way and walking to her dresser.
"Hello Evelyne," Alaric said causing Evelyne's eyes to go wide and her to gasp out loud.
"Your dead, how are you calling me?" Evelyne said into the phone getting a serious look on her face.
"Well yes I am dead. And I currently have a little blonde vampire and a doppelganger with me." He said slightly menacingly.
"What do you want?" Evelyne growled out lowly causing Kol to shoot up him bed and look at her.
"Klaus, dead at my feet. Bring him to me and I will kill him, and then let the girls go." He said at the same time a groan of pain came from someone with him.
Without saying anything else Evelyne hung the phone up and grabbed her clothes ignoring Kol who was asking her who it was. She quickly ran to the bathroom changed into her anti-Damon outfit and braided her hair. As she stepped out of the bathroom she was pulling on her white leather jacket and came face to face with a fully dressed and grouchy Kol.
"How come every time we have a semi goodnights sleep, something goes wrong for one of our family's?" Kol asked looking liked he'd rather climb back in bed and not do anything else for a month.
"Get over it and get in the car, we are headed to the school. On the way call your brother." Evelyne said grabbing her phone and keys. Once in the car Evelyne pulled the car out of the driveway and down the road. Kol called Klaus and found out that they were going to the school as well. By the time they got to the school Klaus, Stefan and Damon where headed into the school. Quickly they sped over to Bonnie to talk to her.
"Bonnie I need to talk to you in private," Evelyne said glancing at Jeremy.
"Come-on bud let's walk over here, let the ladies chat." Kol said walking far enough away that Jeremy couldn't hear the girls.
"What is it? Do you know something?" Bonnie asked seeing the look on the vampires face.
"For Ric to die, Elena has to die." Evelyne said quietly causing Bonnie to gasp before she continued. "I made Ric a promise, that if he somehow survived I would kill him. Even if it meant turning Elena into a vampire. We used my powers to make that promise so that no one but us would know about it."
"What if she wouldn't want to be a vampire?" Bonnie asked her expecting the answer Damon or even Stefan would have given.
"I am not my brothers; I will not turn someone against their will. Bonnie your mother didn't want you to completely loose her again that's why she accepted turning into a vampire. I will give Elena the choice, my brothers would not. If this plan you have doesn't work, I will talk to Elena and give her time to decide what she will choose." Evelyne said taking the vial of Bonnie's blood and drinking a little bit before handing it to Kol who drank the rest. The boys had walked up as soon as Evelyne grabbed the vial.
"You believe there should always be a choice; if this plan doesn't work, do what you must. I will help you through it." Bonnie said before Evelyne and Kol went into the building.
Caroline blurred past them telling them to be careful. Evelyne and Kol could smell the blood still on her from being tortured. That just made Evelyn mad. Soon they blurred to a locker space were Ric was with Elena having pinned her to the wall by her throat.
"Let her go," Evelyne said before she sped forward ripping him away from Elena and pinning him to a locker. Soon he pushed her back but she got back up again just a millisecond later. That's when her brothers came flying in and grabbed him.
"Do it now." Damon said as he and Stefan Struggled to keep ahold of him. Just before Evelyne and Kol got to him he threw her brothers off and broke both of their necks before going after the two of them. First he broke Kol's neck right before Klaus showed up and tried to desiccate him. Not a moment later Evelyne Stepped forward to grab Ric and keep him still. Ric grabbed Klaus's hand and broke it throwing him before he broke from Evelyne's grip and threw her against a locker breaking her neck.
Evelyne woke to the sound of a rather pissed of Kol, and then she noticed she wasn't on the cold hard floor of the school, but in her own bed and she was rather weak. She realized evil Ric must have injected vervain into her system when she was out. That would have made her be passed out longer than the others. It didn't take long for her to realize that Kol was talking on the phone with someone. And from the sounds of it wasn't a pleasant conversation. Evelyne looked to the side and saw that it was midnight. She must have had a lot of vervain in her to make her pass out that long.
"Evelyne, darling you're awake. Here drink this." Kol said handing her a blood bag. Happily Evelyne took the blood bag and drank it all at once. Then when she handed the bag back to Kol her replaced the blood bag with a glass of bourbon. She drank that in one drink as well.
"Who was that you were talking to?" Evelyne asked sitting up properly.
"Well the first call was one of your brothers; they desiccated my brother and want to drop him in the Atlantic. That I am perfectly ok with. The second call was Jeremy; he took Elena to the hospital. She passed out." Kol said as he looked her over to make sure that she was ok.
"Kol please take me to the hospital." Evelyne said standing up, knowing her boyfriend wouldn't let her go anywhere without him for the next couple of hours.
"Fine, get in the car." Kol said not sounding pleased that she wanted to go somewhere when she had just woken up.
Fifteen minutes later Evelyne was walking up to Jeremy asking him Where Elena was. She had Kol stay with the younger Gilbert while she walked to Elena room.
"Meredith don't," Evelyne said appearing by the doctor's side stopping her from giving Elena the vampire blood.
"What, Why she needs this." Meredith said before she saw Evelyne grab another syringe and taking her own blood, and hand it to her.
"My brother's blood cannot be used to heal her. Just know that something bad would happen if she died with it in her system." Evelyne said as Meredith nodded her head and gave Elena the Blood.
"I'm not going to tell Jeremy the true extent of her injuries. I don't want him to have to worry." Meredith said walking out of the room just as Elena woke up a little.
"Evelyne what happened?" Elena asked looking around the room.
"You passed out, and Jeremy brought you to the hospital. Meredith gave you some of my blood. You needed it." Evelyne said taking a seat on the side of the bed.
"Evelyne what's wrong? Something seems off." Elena said looking at her.
"The desiccation didn't work on Ric but on Klaus. Elena, you have a choice, die in the next twenty four hours and come back a vampire. Or wait twenty-five and just die. I know you don't want to hear this, but it is necessary to keep everyone safe. I promised Ric if he became evil and a vampire, I would do anything to kill him. You have my number when you decide." Evelyne said walking out of the room and leaving with a goodbye to Jeremy. As Evelyne and Kol walked out they held each other's hands.
