As I said the previous chapter I'm retaking this story. I hope you enjoy. A little correction, I think that in the last chapters I called one of the titans Hiperion while the correct writing of that name is Hyperion. Sorry.

AN: Titan AE doesn't belong to me.

Six months had gone since Korso's arrival and the government accepting his services. Cale had to admit that as much as he had been preparing for troubles when Akima and him decided to start with the whole project he was actually pleased with the results up until a week or so, the reforms on the Planet Security forces were going smoothly, Bob, Nanami, Lee, The Sheriff and, surprisingly, Lin were supervising the whole thing. Thanks to the assistance provided by Korso's fleet not only had they more men to instruct the recruits but also more weaponry which was essential for the formation of an army and Akima and Cale were in talks with other planets to see if they could get more weapons as well as combat vehicles and aircraft.

That's where the problems came though. Most factions were cool with letting them purchase small weapons from rifle to some artillery cannons but when it came to tanks, self propelled artillery or fighters things changed a lot. Most of them still didn't trust the humans and feared repercussions for years of ill treatment. Stith had tried to convince the Mantrin confederacy but they had also refused to sell weapons to a potential enemy.

"My people are proud warriors" she had told them in her last transmission. "They consider the other races a threat in different ways. I will continue negotiating."

When the transmission was over the nine people in the communications room looked at each other worried.

"This is no good" Bob said. "Our strength would be boosted with those weapons and our defensive strength decreases a lot without them"

"We should take what they give us for now" Cale said understanding his friend's anger. "We will find a solution eventually. Beside Korso told us he has some tanks and space fighters in Tortuga"

"I do" Korso agreed "but very few of them, not enough to defend both planets."

"Well we could always purchase or extract metals and other materials required to make those weapons. New Earth's composition is really similar to that of Earth after all" Lin said, earning nods from Lee and the Sheriff. "Besides we could employ the fleet to conduct mining activities in some planets as well or purchase some material from the merchant space stations." Everyone nodded, however Kate didn't seem convinced.

"That's a good long term solution but still but that's going to take some time" Kate intervened.

"Especially since it would require the construction of more factories and other infrastructures, and we already are struggling with the construction of an observatory and an early warning system for threats from outer space." The Sheriff added

"If we are attacked right now we would rely solely on Korso's fleet." Lee said. "And even with that we don't know how much we can rely on them. Even if we leave the fact that they are all former pirates, they are always traveling between New Earth and Tortuga"

Korso and Kate glared at the man. "What do you mean?" Korso asked with his eyes narrowed. "Even My fleet has protected trade routes coming in and out of the planet, they've gained a chance to be trusted. Besides Tortuga is our base planet which I have offered to this planet's authority as a base, so it obviously needs to be protected as well."

Of course those arguments quickly became a discussion, Cale sighed. This was the last thing they needed right now. Akima observed the people before her argue and decided to put an end to it.

"Enough!" She shouted, silencing everyone around her. Cale couldn't help but smile at their reaction. "I do understand where you all are coming from but getting into fights won't help our situation at all."

Everyone hang their heads in shame like little children being scolded by their mother. Akima continued, this time looking at Korso. "I understand you are bothered by chief Lee's insinuations Korso but he does have a valid point, your fleet was a pirate fleet not that long ago."

Korso didn't reply, perhaps because she knew Akima was right. Cale looked at Chief Lee's satisfied expression and decided to intervene. "That doesn't mean we shouldn't trust them. Even if they are pirates, they are the only fleet we've got now and it's true they are doing a good job for now they've earned the chace to be trusted." He said making a few in the group nod in agreement.

"As for the matter of the tanks and fighters I might know just the guy to help us." Akima said making Korso's eyes widen. "He might also be able to add some larger ships to our fleet."

"Akima, you don't mean..." he began but was interrupted by her.

"You know I mean him" Akima said with a serious expression. Cale looked between them with a confused expression.

"What do you mean "Him"?" He asked. Akima smiled a little.

"Gronk the Black Market trader" She replied.

Hyperion stood at the bridge of his spaceship, the "Phos", a golden heavily armed space ship with a heavy cannon at the front, surrounded by at least twenty more ships of similar appearance but of different color, black. He had been carrying the mission Lord Cronus had given to him and had observed the human activities, for now his initial thoughts about them seemed correct, they were a weak and pathetic race who couldn't stand a chance against the titans. From what he had seen their army wasn't even completely formed yet with only their fleet being operative but even their fleet wasn't on New all the time, they went back and forth between new Earth and a lawless planet. Or so the reports of his "spies", several individuals that had been enslaved by the titans through warfare or other means, told him, since he had decided not to reveal himself yet to his enemies.

His spies were also pathetic, most of them were didn't have any problems in infiltrating New Earth and reporting to him knowing he was conspiring to destroy the planet and his inhabitants. And all because he had promised them their freedom. He was pulled out of his thoughts by the sound of steps behind him. He turned around to see his second in command approach him. The new arrival was a titan of white hair, blue eyes and a youthful appearance who wore a silvery armor, Lelantos, who bowed before him.

Seeing his second in command before him at least one thing, their spies, who reported to Lelantos, had found out something he considered important or Lelantos wouldn't bother him since he knew Hyperion didn't have time for worthless information and wasn't kind to those who delivered that kind of news to him.

"Lelantos" Hyperion greeted him as the other titan knelt before his superior. "What news do you bring me?"

"One of our spies has managed to infiltrate one of the places where some of our enemy leaders were holding a meeting. They were talking about how to obtain more equipment for their forces." Lelantos replied. "They seem to have decided to contact a Black Market dealer, Gronk to purchase those weapons."

"And this concerns us and our plans how?" Hyperion asked apparently not impressed by the information they had just received. "No matter what weapons they acquire we'll crush them all the same."

"The weapons aren't the issue here." Lelantos said. "But this dealer I told you about."

Hyperion looked at his subordinate waiting for him to continue, he had heard from this black market and knew his race had, on extraordinary occasions, made deals with those black merchants but he failed to see how a dealer from that place could influence their plans.

"Our spies have been asking around, getting all the information they could about this dealer. Turns out a lot of the humans know him. He is an akrennian weapons dealer, who conducts all his business from his personal space station." Lelantos explained. "He never goes out and so all those who want something from him have to go to this place."

Hyperion smiled, picking up on what his subordinate was saying. "And so some of the human leaders will go to meet with him. Won't they?"

"Exactly, we would deliver a powerful blow to these humans if we took out their leaders before the actual battle." Lelantos said. "We could also capture some of them for questioning."

"Either way it would be a blow. Take half of the fleet with you and take care of the situation however you see fit, your main objective is to prevent those humans from returning to their planet." Hyperion ordered.

"As you wish" Said Lelantos, getting up and heading out of the bridge. After his second in command was gone Hyperion looked at one of the bridge operators.

"Do we have any news from Lord Cronus?" He asked him. The other titan looked at his superior and nodded.

"He has informed us that 20% of the fleet is assembled already." The titan soldier replied. Hyperion smiled.

"Good. Inform him that we will now conduct some operations against the human leaders and to expect good news soon." He ordered.

"Yes sir" The soldier replied.
