Disclaimer: I own NOTHING (except the plot).
A/N: Draco's house isn't Malfoy Manor it's his own house. This is not a complete re-write but most of it has been re-written after considering a recent review of the story and deciding that the reviewer had a good point. This was my first piece of fan fiction and I'd prefer not to abandon it if I don't have to.
This is the beta'd version

It was Friday night, and Hermione was just finishing her make up when she heard a knock at her door. Taking her perfume and spraying a bit on her dress she walked over to the door and let her date in.
Draco looked amazing and it took Hermione a minute to check him out; he was wearing a black suit with a silvery blue tie. His blonde hair was tousled and all she could imagine was running her fingers through them as they kissed…
She couldn't believe how handsome he looked. She thought to herself… My god this was a good idea. It's unbelievable what a change of clothes and some sleep does for this guy.
Draco's eyes wandered at Hermione, he was glad that he chose to take this beautiful woman for a date. She was wearing a beautiful Vera Wang dress. It was fire engine red and had an A-line silhouette. Draco swore that he must have been drooling.
After a moment Draco met Hermione's gaze and he smiled.
"Are you ready to go? I have a surprise for you downstairs."
"Oh really? Let me just grab my bag and my keys." Hermione stepped into her room to get her bag leaving Draco in the living room. His eyes wandered around the walls of her flat; they were cream and Gryffindor red. The walls were covered in original oil paintings mostly landscapes that reminded him of Monet, she has excellent taste in art, he thought to himself.
Soon, Draco was snapped out of his daydream when Hermione tapped him on the arm and motioned that she was ready to go.
"Are we apparating to the Leaky Cauldron?"
"Oh no definitely not I have something much better planned," Draco smirked as they walked to the parking garage.
Draco stopped and took out his keys. Hermione hadn't drove her car for several weeks and she missed it. She had gotten her license when she was sixteen and had driven around her parent's neighborhood during the summers ever since. When she finally got her own car she bought an Audi A6.
Hermione had partially forgotten how rich the Malfoys were. Draco was wealthy in his own right now after all, something she didn't even think of until she saw the cars. Hermione was not poor by any means but she didn't have money to burn like Draco that was for sure. Hermione remembered that Draco was the chair of the Pediatric ward at St. Mungo's. She subconsciously realized that she was never impressed by any of her former boyfriends with money but Draco was different. He wasn't just rich, but also had power.
Draco was smiling knowing she was impressed. That had been exactly the point of him bringing the car. He drove a 2014 Mercedes Benz E class the exterior almost matched Hermione's dress; it was such a bright, vibrant shade of red. The paint nearly glittered even in the dark of the parking garage.
"Draco it's gorgeous!" Hermione exclaimed like a little girl, bringing Draco to laugh and then look smug. He opened the door to the passenger's seat for Hermione and then got in to drive off to the Leaky Cauldron.
They drove off and to Hermione's surprise; Draco drove very well for a wizard. She was shocked as she realized how much practice it must have taken for Draco to even get used to the idea of a car, let alone drive one.
Draco raced down the highway to get to the heart of London. They traveled fifty miles in fifteen minutes. Hermione sighed thinking to herself that magic was truly amazing.
When they arrived at the Leaky Cauldron and luckily found seats at the bar. Draco ordered a bottle of merlot for the both of them to share. At first they made small talk, discussing work and current events but after a few glasses of wine the topic of conversation wandered to family. Draco usually didn't talk about his parents; he hated that his family had such a dark past. Since Hermione had known Draco most of her life it was much easier to break the ice on the first date. Hermione made mention of her parents, what it was like living as a muggle during her early childhood and how stark a contrast it is to the wizarding world.
"It's so much different," She said, sipping on her merlot. "In our world we can just apparate to wherever we need to go but I enjoy the process of doing things. I really like taking car rides it takes my mind off things. I have an Audi A6 I love it."
"I would have never guessed you were a car enthusiast," Draco said smirking casually.
"You wouldn't be able to guess a lot of things about me Draco." Hermione winked at Draco and smirked.
"Oh really? What else would I not guess about you?"
"I think you might find some things out soon enough," Hermione smiled sweetly. He enjoyed her company and she was quite a bit more relaxed after work.
A few hours went by and the conversation slowly shifted as they became more comfortable in each other's presence. Hermione let go of her inhibitions and talked about her two exes. She talked about her relationship with Krum and the Triwizard Tournament and explained that the Bulgarian Bon-Bon (as Rita Skeeter called him) and her had never really done anything but kiss. Then she began to talk about Ron and how he had left her for Lavender Brown and giggled at how much of an airhead Lavender was. She briefly mentioned the Ron was her first and the only person she had done anything with.
Her mind then began to wonder about how Draco's love life had shaped up.
"So tell me about Pansy, you seemed to always spend time with her at Hogwarts." Hermione said casually. Draco frowned; he wasn't expecting Hermione to ask about Pansy. He hated Pansy after what she had done to him.
"We aren't close anymore. She cheated on my right after we graduated from Hogwarts." He said quietly. "We moved in together and when I came home one day I found her with Blaise shagging on the couch. So that ended and I've been single ever since."
"Wow that's quite the story." Hermione smiled warmly at him and put her hand on his knee in comfort. Draco looked up at her, cupping her cheek in his hand and gently placed a kiss on her lips. It felt like heaven, his lips were so soft and welcoming she wanted to kiss him deeper but she remembered where they were…
Breaking the kiss, Hermione tinged pink and smiled warmly at Draco and reaching for her water glass.
"What do you say we get out of here and go back to my place?" Draco looked up at her through the corner of his eyes with a sexy smirk.
"No, but thanks for the offer Draco, it's really getting late and I have some things to do in the morning." Hermione said knowing Draco's game. He was known for being a playboy of sorts but he had always been personable enough to her so she paid no mind to the rumors.
"Alright, some other time then, let me take you home though." Draco said with a smirk.
"Oh who said there'd be a next time?" Hermione quipped trying to stifle a giggle.
"Very funny Hermione. Now let me take you home obviously the wine has gone to your head and remained there."
"Yes please do take me home. I'm quite tired you've worn me out."
They walked out of the Leaky Cauldron and back to his car. Draco managed to get his car and Hermione back to her flat in one piece with a simple charm. He walked Hermione up to the door and leaned in for a kiss good night. Much to his surprise she obliged and kissed him back with just a bit of tongue.
When he left her house his head was in the clouds. She had a way with him, no woman had ever denied him the opportunity to be in his bed before but that was Hermione. She was no one-night stand that's for sure.
